NIGERIAā‰ˆNEXT DAY>THE SANYAOLU’S**

“I’m really going to miss you sweethĀ£art”she pulled her in for a tight embrace and ki$$ā‚¬d her hair too.

It’s finally time for her to let her go, after so many years of raising and watching her grow up into the teenager she is now.

She couldn’t help but burst into tĀ£ars, as it recalled to her that she is going to a whole different country.

Gracious tried blinking away the tears too, her mum is her greatest pride and joy.

She never imagined that this day will come, when they’ll be pullĀ£d apart.

“I’ll miss you more mom, so much. Always remember that i lovĀ£ you, please take good care of yourself”she brokĀ£ the hug and stared intently at her.

Grace glanced around the whole apartment, it isn’t a lot, but it’s were she was born and raised.

They’re so many memories there, both g**d and b*d.

“Did you take them with you?,you definitely know what am talking about”she tried opening up the already packed bags, but gracious stopped her.

She took in deep breaths, and held her mother’s hands.

“Am fine mom, you don’t need to pretend like you’re not worried. Nothing bad will happen to me as long as i have three things with me, my Bible, God, and faith.”she sighed $adlĀ„, cupping her daughter’s cheeks in her hands.

“If anything goes wroĻ€g, your home is here for you okay?. Don’t be too hƦrd on yourself, cause this is were your heart is, with people who lovĀ£ you”gracious hugged her again, but this time around tĀ£ars strĀ£amed down her face.

“No!, we’re not supposed to be in this mood. Its a happy day, we’re supposed to have bright smiles on our faces. Don’t ruin your face with tĀ£ars, it’ll make it puffĀ„”she used her hands to wipe at her tĀ£ars and smiled widely displaying her complete set of teeths.

“I lovĀ£ you mum!”

“I lovĀ£ you too darling, but now it’s time to go. I’ll go get my purse, and we’ll be on our way”she smiled yet again, and walked out of there.

Gracious was about to make herself comfy on one of the plastic chairs, when a knock was suddenly heard at the door.

She rushed to get it, and once it was opened, she furrowĀ£d her brows in confusion.

“Aunty mmakamba you’re here?”she stared at her blankly, wondering what she owed the pleasant visit for.

“Aren’t you going to ask me in?,for real?”grace mouthed a ā€œsorry maā€œ, then ushered her in.

The woman stepped in Ā¢at walking like a diva, and $Ā¢owlā‚¬d at the surrounding.

It is totally cla$$lā‚¬ss, gro$$ and rĀ£Ā£ks of ā€œpovĀ£rtĀ„!ā€œ.

“Ewww!,so gro$$!”she thought inwardly, staring at the living room arrangements.

It is practically small enough to be a kĀ£nnel, and there are only two plastic chairs for sitting.

“Would you like anything?,water?”she shook her head in response and fakĀ£d a smile.

“We need to talk right now, it’s important”she took a sā‚±0t on the chair, and so did gracious.

She cleared her throat, before parting her l-ips to speak.

“You don’t need to go to school, i have a huge deal for you. I’ll triple your salary, and you’d be crowned queen of the kitchen. What do you say?, inviting right?”she placed her hand on hers, and stroked it like she really cares about her.

Gracious nibbled on her fingers, fully deep in thoughts, it’s so hƦrd to choose.

She has always wanted to go abroad to study, and at the same time the monĀ£y is importaĻ€t too.

“My daughter will be doing no such thing, she can’t put all her efforts to wa$te because of a job as a chef. The answer is no, that’s final!”she clutched her purse to herself, and shot the woman a glarĀ£.

She knows exactly why the woman is there, only for her benefit and not her daughter’s.

She isn’t going to let that happen ever again, all that ended yesterday when she found out about her daughter’s scholarshĀ”p.

“But mum–”

“But nothing grace, don’t even think of listening to this woman. There’s little time left, let’s go!!”she picked one of the bags and left the other for grace.

The woman stood hĀ£lplĀ£ssly, watching them clear up the filled up spaces and walk out of the apartment.

“Gosh!,this is so tĀ£rrible. My business is ruined, how will i solve this problĀ£m?”she stared at the door they passed through, and then fĀ£ll to the ground.

U.S.Aā‰ˆAFTERNOON>LEE RESTAURANT**

“What?,so you mean billy planned it all?.The whole ā€œshe’s the perfect girl for youā€œ was to get himself under her $kirt. I knew that guy had nothing g**d under is sleeve, but i didn’t know what”he baĻ€ged the table, and widĀ£Ļ€ed his eyes in shock.

They are at mrs lee’s restaurant, ji-ho’s birth mother.

“Talking more about this makes my tummy grumblĀ£, and i have the urge to h*t someone really hƦrd on the facĀ£. Please let’s change the topic, and talk about something importaĻ€t”they both turned to look at their othĀ£r friend, he has totally spaced out.

“What’s wrong with him?”ji-ho asked, his gaze fully on ji-yoo.

He replied with an “i don’t knowā€œ, then tapped the lo$t guy back to reality.

When he was fully back, he stared at both of them, Ā¢onfu$ion clearly evident in his eyes.

“Huh?, did you say something?”ji-ho palmĀ£d his facĀ£, and so did ji-hu.

“What’s going through your mind, you haven’t said anything since we got here?. Spill the bĀ£ans right now, or you sĀ£ize to be our friend”he b*t his buttom lip, and looked away reminiscing about everything that happened to him yesterday.

“Don’t act wĀ£ird around me, and don’t even think of laughiĻ€g too, it’s a $triĀ¢t warning.Yesterday, on my way to the gym,i bumpĀ£d into this wĀ£ird guy. Instead of apologising for hittiĻ€g me, his eyes were glued to my face. It was like he was checking me out, and that didn’t seem Ā¢omfortablĀ£. I decided to apologisĀ£ even though i knew he was at fault, his next action made me $wallow the huge lump in my throat. He pĀ£Ā¢kĀ£d me on the chĀ£Ā£k, and smilĀ£d shĀ£Ā£pishly before walking away”their mouths flew opened, and they uttered the some word in unison.

“Wo?[What?]”their mouths were finally closed, but that wasn’t the same for their eyes.

It was extremely widĀ£ned, like it was gonna bulgĀ£ out right that second.

“I knew i shouldn’t have told you guys, you’re being too much!!”he rollĀ£d his eyes at them, and without warning they burstĀ£d into audible laughter.

“What’s so funny?”he frowĻ€Ā£d dĀ£Ā£ply, looking at every where but them.

Their laughter’s diĀ£d down, and ji-ho patted his back, before going way past his limits with his ā€œnot so properā€œ question.

“Ji-yoo are you gaĀ„?”ji-ho blurtĀ£d out with a straight face, like it was something normal.

That didn’t really seem right to ji-hoo, he’s never been asked that before, and coming from his friend it’s kiĻ€da worsĀ£.

He stared at him blankly, trying to figure out the perfect way to reply him.

He knows he isn’t gaĀ„, or is he?, it’s all so coĻ€fu$iĻ€g.

“Am not, there’s no way i am.Don’t ask me that question again, never ever!”and with that he rose to his feet and $curriĀ£d on out of there.

“Do you believe him?”ji-ho shook his hĀ£ad, and stared at his fadĀ£d figure.

“I don’t, cause his action towards my question seems to prove otherwise!!”.

5PM>WALTON MANSION**

“Aren’t you supposed to be at work dad?, why are you here this early?”.

Amber was going through the latest gist online, when her father stepped in, he wasn’t smiliĻ€g at all.

He took hurried steps towards her, and when he was fully in front of her, he $natĀ¢hā‚¬d her phone.

“That’s mine dad, what’re you doing?”she stretched her hand to collect it back, but he slippĀ£d it into his paĻ€t$.

“As from today, you’ll have no reason to go online, cause you’ll have no device with you.You can’t possibly ruiĻ€ our family name with your tĀ£Ā£n $caĻ€dal$, the whole internet is flooding with your pictures.# SHE WAS NOT G**D IN BĀ£D, # SHE’S A WHORĀ£. Is that what you want to be remembered as, you’re not even a$hamĀ£d of yourself. At eighteen you’re still behaving like a kid, i know Amanda can do no such thing. She’s well trained and has a grown up mind, you may be tall, but not fully grown up there”she frowĻ€Ā£d dĀ£Ā£ply at his rudĀ£ rĀ£mark, but that didn’t seem to move him, cause he walked out afterwards.

She rufflĀ£d her hair in aĻ€gĀ£r, throwiĻ€g the well arranged pillows to different sā‚±0ts in the living room.

She picked up the glass vase filled with flowers, and thrĀ£w it at the iĻ€Ļ€ocĀ£nt wall.

“Lmao, are you going nut$ too?.There’s a p$yĀ¢hiatriĀ¢ home not far from here, ill take you if you like”amanda descended the stairs, a huge $mirk on her face.

She’s adding more $alt to her wounds, intĀ£Ļ€tioĻ€allĀ„.

“Get out of my face bitĀ¢h, your presence isn’t needed at all”it went into her left ear, and flĀ£w out from the other.

“I knew you must have gotten help from someone to get ji-ho to notice you, but with billy the sĀ£x freak?.Was his d**k so tempting that you couldn’t help but $uĀ¢k it, whorĀ£. You’re so $hamĀ£lĀ£$$, no guy will ever lovĀ£ you, cause you’re not worth it”amber lo$t it completely, she hovĀ£rĀ£d on her rou*hlĀ„, pulliĻ€g her hair.

“You’re the bigger bitĀ¢h, how dare you iĻ€$ult me?”she torĀ£ her Ā¢lothĀ£s open and b*t her nĀ£ck like a vampirĀ£ huĻ€gry for bl**d.

“Get off me, ouch!!”she aimĀ£d at her facĀ£, and $lappĀ£d her h@rd, that she fĀ£ll off her.

“You ruinĀ£d my favourite dress, and you’re gonna paĀ„ for it”she rose to her fĀ£Ā£t, glarĀ£d hƦrd at her and ru$hĀ£d upstairs towards her bedroom.

“That’s what you get for me$$iĻ€g with me, filthĀ„ aĻ€imal”amber muttered, holding her swollĀ£n chĀ£Ā£ks.
