“Mommy!!”. Lili s¢ræmed in excitement and ran to me.

I smiled and opened my arms wide ready to hug her. She jumped on me and I carried her laughing in response.

“I missed you so much”. She said happily as I dropped her down.

“Awww”. I cooed. “Thats so sweet”.

“Wow, Brie, I didn’t know you had a child for Liam already”. Chloe said walking over to us.

I hit her slightly. “Stop, she’s Liam daughter and not my child, she just loves calling me Mummy, thats all”.

“Oh”. She faced Lili. “Hey, Cutie, whats your name?”.

“Lilian Paige, I’m seven”. She replied her sweetly.

“You are a beautiful princess, darling and my name is Chloe Houston”.

“Can I hug you, Miss?”.

Chloe hesitated before pulling Lili into a hug, I watched them surprised. This is the first time I’ve seen my best friend with a child.

“So … Anna”.

I turned to face Liam. “So you brought Lili but why?”.

“She wanted to come see you and I’ll really appreciate it if you will maybe spend time with her for today”. He suggested.

I cross my arms. “Why? I’m not some kind of babysitter”.

“Anna, look, I know you hate me right now but I’m doing this for Lili, she has been in tears for days because__”.

“She was crying?”. I asked interrupting him. “But why?”.

He sighed. “She misses you and blames me for your leaving the house that day”.

“You did chase me out of your house if you remember, Liam”.

“Anna, I’m sorry, okay? I was thinking, you came to me with a pregnancy, how do you expect me to react at first instant?”.

“Maybe reasonably, not saying that I should abort the child. Liam, what if I had lost my womb in the process”.

“I’m sorry”. He apologized. “I’m ready to accept responsibility for our child now”.

“You are unbelievable, I aborted it”. I lied to him.

“What?”.

“You said you didn’t want it so I got rid of it immediately not wanting to be single Mum”.

“Brianna, are you kidding me right now? I didn’t expect you to__”.

“Mommy”.

Lili ran back to me interrupting Liam. I held her close to him still uncomfortable with the way Liam was staring at me.

“Daddy, you can go. I’ll be fine”.

I turned to her. “Huh?”.

“I wanna spend the whole day with you”.

I glanced at Chloe and she shrugged in agreement. Okay!! This whole thing is just too sudden, first, she calls me Mommy and now this …

“Um, Sure”. I agreed.

I looked back at Liam who was still staring at me, I quickly averted my gaze away from him. He’s probably shocked by what I said.

“Come on”. I crouched in front of Lili. “Lets go into my apartment first”.

Liam looked at me again before k!$sing his daughter on the forehead and then he left with his bodyguards.

“So wait, she aborted the child?”. Lucas asked for the umpteenth time.

I nodded in response. “Apparently yeah”.

We were currently sitting at his penthouse by the poolside while also sun tanning as well too.

“Dude, you do know all this is your fault, right?”.

“Hey!!”. I protested. “Stop with the blames, alright?”.

“I’m serious here, bro. You could have just accepted the pregnancy in the first place”.

“Lucas, I’m 28 with a daughter already and I barely have time for Lilian, do you expect me to have another child?”.

“You won’t be the only taking care of that pregnancy, its Brianna’s child as well”.

“Really?”. I let out a scoff. “Do you think I’d ever forget what Trisha did to me?”.

“That was Trisha, this is Brianna. They are two different people”.

“Trisha left me to take care of Lili all by myself”. I reminded him. “She ran off with half of my properties with her lover leaving her four years old child behind”.

“I totally remember that but you and I know that that wasn’t the reason you rejected Brianna’s pregnancy”.

“Tell me then”.

“Williams, you chose your relationsh¡p with Lauren and that was the reason”.

“If Lauren had found out that the sister she hates is pregnant for me then I would have lost my shares in that company”.

“You still broke up with her, didn’t you?”.

I rolled my eyes. “Just give me a break, would you? I don’t need to be reminded of the reason I did that”.

“Who would have thought Nick has been screwing Lauren all the while, huh?”.

“I just clearly told you that I didn’t want to remember that”.

He chuckled lightly. Almost immediately, a bodyguard walked over coming towards us.

“Clint, any problem?”. I asked.

He handed me the speaker I always used to communicate with my bodyguards. I took it then connected it in my ear.

“Speak”.

“Sir Williams”. He spoke up. “A black car has been trailing Miss Brianna”.

“What? Since when?”.

“Wherever they are at, its there along with some hefty men”.

“Watch over her and my daughter as well, send me the locations and keep me very updated”.

“Yes, Sir”.

“Is something wrong?”. Lucas asked me.

I frowned. “Someone is on to Brianna and she been with Lili is more dangerous”.

“I seriously don’t know why you two had to drag me here, like literally”.

Brie hit me slightly. “Chloe, be nice, Lili wants some cookies, thats all”.

“And I’m here, why?”. I asked bored. “Why didn’t you do it yourself?”.

“You can leave if you want to, Miss Chloe, sorry for wasting your time”. Lili spoke up in her sugary tone.

I sighed. “Oh alright, Cookies, it is then”.

She squealed excitedly and I walked off to the front counter to get the cookies for her.

I put on a straight face. “Hello”.

“Good day to you, gorgeous”. He winked at me.

I faked a gag inwardly. Seriously? This guy must be in college and he’s flirting with me, I am 25 years old if he doesn’t know that.

“Do you have anything sugary?”.

“I do and trust me, they are as sweet as you”. He complimented me flirtatiously.

I crossed my arms. “Flirt with me one more time and I promise you, a bone will be out of your body this instant”.

“What?”.

“I need cupcakes, cookies, anything that a seven year old girl would like”. I ordered him.

“Okay”. He shuffled nervously. “And what flavor?”.

“Anything”. I replied briskly.

“I’ll get the premium ones for you since__”.

“Just stop talking already”. I cut him off. “I hate hearing you talk, your voice bores me totally”.

His expression was really scared as he went to get my orders. I breathe out a sigh of relief, oh how I hate being drooled at.

“Wow, Chloe, you just got one more guy to be scared of you”. Brie said behind me.

I turn to her. “Its not my fault they keep on coming”.

“Well you should have been nicer”. She suggested.

“He’s probably a college sophomore, Brie. I am way past that like years ago”.

“You are 25, Chloe but you act like an old lady, loosen up sometimes”.

“And you are 23 but I have to babysit your ass all the time”. I shot back. “How about that, huh?”.

She frowned in response and faced Lili, I shook my head turning back to the counter, okay, where’s this guy?

Soon, he came and handed me everything in a decorated box or something like that though.

“Bills are on me, gorgeous”.

“I pay more my own bills, try looking for a high school fresher to shoot your shot”.

I threw the cash on the counter for him and then went directly to the main entrance as I walked out.

“Chloe, you__”.

I crouch in front of Lili. “Here’s the cookies, baby”.

She took it and muttered a ‘thank you’. I smile and get up glancing around, my gaze fell on a guy who quickly looked away.

Was he staring at me? I looked around and saw about two other guys like him, they wore the same tattoos on their arms.

“Umm, Brie. We should go like right now”.

“But where you parked you car is way more farther than this place”.

“Then we run”. I replied.

“Chloe”. She stopped me. “Is something wrong?”.

“I think some motherf–kers are keeping their eyes on us”. I whispered as we walk down the curb.

“But we can’t run, Lili, remember?”.

“Um, carry her in your arms”.

“What do you mean__”.

I faced Lili. “Baby, do you like a piggyback ride?”.

“Yes, please”. She replied sweetly.

I smiled and carried her in my arms then motioned for Brianna to follow me. We walked off and crossed different curbs for a while.

f–k this!! Why didn’t I park my car at a closer distance? I turned and didn’t see any sign of those guys again.

“Brie, there”.

I turned into a alleyway and she followed me before resting on the wall panting. Brie s¢ræmed and I turned seeing three guys.

Shit!! I drop confused Lili next to Brie then faced them kind of paranoid myself.

“What the hell do you guys want?”. I ask.

The leader smirked. “Beat the chick up”.

One of them came forward and I kicked him in the balls sending him straight to the floor.

I grabbed a handful of sand and threw it at the other one who moved backwards then fell back on the floor.

“Brie, run now”. I yelled. “Take Lili with you”.

“What the hell are you talking about? I can not leave you here”.

The two thugs on the floor got up again and I smiled folding my fist into a ball. I haven’t beaten up someone in weeks.

I hit one of them and he winced, the other thug ran to me but I held his hand twisting it back as he shouted in pain.

I let go of him and he fell to the floor, I did a double side kick to the first thug that threw him away.

“Yeah!!”. Lili squealed excitedly at the back watching me fight.

I squatted and cleared the both of them off the floor with my leg. Soon they were both on the floor and I smirked.

“Wow”. The leader spoke up. “She had told me that you were a feisty one, I guess its true”.

I sprung towards him almost punching him but stopped when he pulled out a gun at me.

“One more step and you will no longer live”.

I smirked. “You think I’m afraid of death, don’t you?”.

“Everyone is”.

“I’ve committed suicide several times”. I admitted truthfully. “But I survived it still”.

“What about your friend?”.

He then pointed the gun towards Brie who quickly hid Lilian behind her immediately. I told her to leave earlier, Gosh!!.
