~ Fernando ~

As she turned to me, I felt my heartbeat increase.

Time seemed to have stopped as we stared at each other in silence.

There was something familiar about her but I just couldn’t get it.

She’s a stranger yet I felt like I’ve known her before.

“Fernando ” she called and my eyes w¡dened.

That was the same way Tatiana called me.

Is she Tatiana?

How is that even possible?

They might just have the same way of pronouncing my name.

“miss Lanna ” I called and walked to her.

I stretched my hand for an handshake and she smiled, staring at my hand.

She took a while before putting her hand in mine.

I jerked back my hand immediately I felt something like a bolt of electricity flow through my veins.

I think she felt it too cause she seemed nervous all of a sudden.

“I… I’ll just go to the party ” she stuttered a little and walked out in haste.

I stared at her retreating figure as she left.

This is weird.

I shook off the weird feeling I was getting and went up to my room.

~ Tatiana ~

Immediately I left Fernando’s sight, I rested my back on the wall and took a deep breath.

What is wrong with me?

I can’t believe I’m still not able to control myself around him.

I have to do the right things first which is justice for my parents and everyone who were oppressed by them.

I composed myself and went to the party.

I sighted Beatrice, walking to the podium to give a speech.

I was directed to a special seat and offered a drink.

I eye searched everywhere for Johanna and Leo but couldn’t find them.

Just when I was about to turn my attention to Beatrice, I sighted Johanna and Rinaldo at a table.

I smiled and turned my attention to Beatrice.

“ladies and gentle men, join me to welcome our guest of honor, Lanna Delacruz ” she said and a round of applaud sounded everywhere.

I smiled with pride and cat walked to the podium.

She moved aside and I took her place, to give my own speech.

~ Leo ~

I walked into the party and took a last look at the photo of Sasha that was with me.

I smiled wryly and tucked the photo in,side my br-ast pocket.

I started roaming about, looking for the so called Sasha.

I sighted her in a midst of some boys, drinking and laughing.

I walked to where she was and sat at their table.

The three of them glanced at themselves then at me.

“sorry, couldn’t find a table ” I lied.

“it’s OK ” she smiles broadly, twisting some strands of her hair.

I smiled the best way I could and she returned it.

She winked at me, already giving me those flirty looks.

Wow! She’s an easy deal.

After exchanging flirty glances from each other, I decided to walk out cause I knew she’d follow me.

I smiled and walked out to a corner.

“hey wait up ” I heard her call behind and I smiled in victory.

I stopped and rested my back on the wall and crossed my legs.

She caught up with me and chuckled.

“you’re cute ” she blurted out.

“and you’re a beauty ” I said back in a flirty voice.

She stood in front of me and leaned her body into mine.

She took my hands and placed it around her wa-ist then she wrapped her hands around my neck.

She brought her l-ips to k-ss me but I looked away.

“why? Don’t you want me ” she asked in a low voice.

I smiled sed-ctively and unwrapped her hands from my neck.

“you know, I like you so o want to take things slow ” I said and I could see the glimpse of happiness in her eyes.

“you love me” she asked and I mentally cussed.

Hell no bitch, I hate you.

“yeah” I lied.

“can we date then ” she asked and I smiled inwardly.

She just mad my job easier for me.

“of course, I love you anyway ” I said shad swallowed as those words left my mouth.

I don’t think I can love anyway again.

She smiled and hugged me tight to herself.

I warped my hands around her and hugged her too.

~ Fernando ~

I had no plans on attending the party but after meeting Lanna, I wanna see her again.

I know it’s crazy but I wanna be close to her.

I carried Myer and I walked out with Melanie to the party.

I eye searched everywhere for her and saw her descending the podium.

“let’s go introduce ourselves ” Melanie took the words right outta my mouth.

I nodded and we walked to her.

“miss Lanna ” Melanie called with so much enthusiasm.

Lanna stopped on her track and seemed to be battling with some inner battle.

She smiled widely and waited for us to get to her.

“hi ” I said and she waved with a smile.

“meet my wife Melanie and my little angel Myer ” I introduced and she she smiled.

“she’s so cute ” she said in an hoarse voice.

Why’s her voice shaky?

“you know Lanna, I’ve always wanted to meet you. You’re so beautiful and of high class just like me. Hope we can be good friends ” Melanie asked.

“of course ” she replied bluntly.

“I have to use the restroom ” she said and turned to leave.

“no it’s this side ” Melanie said but she paid no attention to her.

“let’s get a table ” Melanie said and we went for a table.

~ Tatiana ~

That bastard has a child.

He has a child.

I closed my eyes and let the tears pour down.

It hurts so much.

I loved him and even gave him my V-rginity.

That bastard will pay.

I wiped my tears and did some retouch to my makeup.

I straightened up and went out.

I took my seat at the special table where the Buenevistas were seated.

I looked at their faces one by one.

Fernando, Rinaldo, Beatrice, Mr George ( Fernando’s granddad), Melanie, Myer, Debbie and Sasha.

I know them all cause we already did a research about them.

I couldn’t help but notice the awkward stare from Fernando and Rinaldo.

I’m the guess of honor so no offense.

All their attention was already on me.

“so the contract is tomorrow miss Lanna, hope you’re ready ” Mr George asked in his cracking voice.

“sure” I said boldly with a wry smile.

After the party, I drove home.

“how was it ” Leo and Johanna asked in unison.

“boring ” I said and they chuckled.

“you won’t believe I’m already dating Sasha Buenevista ” Leo boasted.

“good ” I commented and looked to Johanna.

“Rinaldo is such a pain in the ass, haven’t gotten his full attention yet ” Johanna seethed.

“with time, you will ” I encouraged.

“so Brian, what have you gat” I asked Brian who’s Ben’s quiet.

“nothing ” he blurted out.

“it’s not easy to find a girl who probably got lost at age 3-4 in n area like that” Brian explained.

” the river where the incident happened, at the other side of the river is another town and I’ve been scouring that town with a picture of the lost girl ” Brian said.

“none claimed to know her and as it is, she’s probably 19 or 20” he said as I nodded.

“but since there isn’t records of her body being found then she must be alive ” he said.

“what if she got eaten by a shark ” Johnna asked and we all rolled out eyes.

She’s so full of negative thoughts.

I ignored her and directed my attention to Brian.

“she might be in that town, all we have to do is put some more effort in searching for her ” Brian said.

“then tomorrow after the contract, we will all go to the town with her picture when she was 3-4 years and also around ” I said and they all nodded.

“OK guys, order something and I’ll go freshen up ” I said and went up to my room.

After freshening up, I came down and ate with them.

It was Italian food and I know Leo was the one who ordered it cause he loves it.

After eating, we all went to our various room.

I had trouble sleeping so I went up to the balcony.

“hey ” I said to Leo.

“trouble sleeping ” he asked and I nodded.

“me too ” he said.

I went over to him and sat and beside him.

He chuckled and I arched an eyebrow.

“what is it ” I asked.

“just remembered the first time I knee you as Tatiana ” he said and chuckled.

“you were pregnant with Lanna’s face so I was kinda freaked out ” he said.

“sorry for being a jerk to you ” he apologized.

“it’s not your fault, any normal person would’ve acted the way you did or maybe worse ” I said with a comforting smile.

“how did you even come to know the real me behind Lanna’s face “I asked.

I know he’s rich and rich people have power but I’m just curious.

“doc Martins told me ” he said and I arched an eyebrow.

I thought dad told him to keep it as a secret.

Oh I see, since he’s Lanna’s boyfriend so he couldn’t keep it from him.

“my dad was I’ll soon I took him to the hospital then Doc Martins started blabbering stuffs about Lanna’s death. He started consoling me and from there, he told me everything ” he said and I breathed out an “oh”.

“sorry ” I said and he looked away.

I saw a tear slid down his cheek and I sighed.

“I really miss her ” he said lowly.

“I’m…… ” I was saying but gasped when I heard something like a vase shatter.

Leo and I glanced at each other.

“could it be Johanna or Brian ” I asked lowly.

“no, they’re asleep and besides, that sound came from downstairs ” Leo said and that alone have me cramps.

Who the hell could have sneaked in?
