My name is Olatunji Funbi and I will be getting married to one of the deacon’s sons in two weeks. You see, I can’t wait to be married to my heart rob.
Looking at how far I have come, I can’t stop appreciating God for giving me, Moses. Life dealt with me but God thought it well to reward with a sweet man.
I lost my parent in a motor accident at the age of ten leaving me at the mercy of my uncle and his brutal wife. Life took a new course as I was being maltreated by my paternal relatives.
Luck smiled on me when the pastor of the church my uncle and his wife attended needed a housemaid. Without thinking twice, I was sent to Pastor Jeffrey’s house to become their housemaid.
Pastor Jeffery was the one who saw me through secondary school and also university.
Through Pastor Jeffrey’s help, I was able to secure a good job with na ice pay. Some months after I started work, one of the deacons sons asked me out and after some months of praying and thinking, I gave him a yes.

Me: hello darling, how are you doing?
Moses: good, we need to talk. Come over to the house tomorrow
Me: okay, but you are sounding somehow, are you okay??
Moses: you will get to know tomorrow

With that Moses ended the call, leaving me to battle with what the issue could be.

After work the following day, I went to Moses’ residence. Being the only child, he stays with his parent but we are working on getting our apartment soon.
Getting to the Ocha’s apartment, I met his parent and the cold attitude they gave to me made me feel uncomfortable. Like, this was couples that loved me so much and were eager to see me get married to their only child and give them grandchildren.
I asked es and I was told to go to his room. Getting to his room, I met him busy with his laptop.
Me: good evening sweetheart
Moses: yea, good evening
Me: Sweetheart, what is wrong? Your cold attitude is scaring me, did I do anything wrong?
Moses: (stretch a paper to me) go through this and give me the needed explanation
Me: (collected the paper and read through) Wow! V-rginity test??? Like, you conducted a V-rginity test on me without my knowledge? Have I given you reasons to doubt my chaste status??

I took a deep breath and managed to read to the end. I got to a particular paragraph that says ‘the above patient is no longer a V-rgin’.
Me: and you believed this?? But Moses, you need to believe me, I have not engaged in any s€×ual activity not even when life challenges wanted to pull me down
Moses: and you expect me to believe that crap??
Me: Okay, what do you want me to do for you to believe me? Let’s go to another hospital because I don’t believe this result

I was able to hold back the tears till I get to my car. Getting to the car, I let the tears flow. Can’t they just believe that I am a V-rgin?? After keeping my V-rginity for almost twenty-six years, is this what I get?.
