❁ NEXT DAY ❁

Theo got down the stairs, whistling happily to himself.

His father was already seated at the table, having his breakfast.

“Good morning, Dad” Theo greeted, helping himself to the orange juice.

“You seem cheerful today. Are you that excited that you are finally going back to school ?” Ricardo asked earning a large smile from him.

“Let’s just say that I manage to get rid of something” he replied as a frown settle on his father face.

“Don’t worry, I didn’t kill someone” Theo said as he took his seat.

“I- I wasn’t think-”

“I know you think me capable of doing anything due to my disorder but don’t worry, have never killed someone and I never will ” Theo said, a bitter look on his face.

“Have you seen Lyn? Tell her to come down for breakfast” Ricardo said, quickly changing the subject.

Theo smiled to himself since he knew that Carolyn wouldn’t join them for breakfast instead she will be announcing her departure.

“I need to go to school now” Theo said as he got up after eating a few spoonful of his cereal.

“Why don’t you wait for Lyn, she could take a lift with you since she has to fill the registration form” Ricardo suggest.

“I doubt she will want to go, see you dad” Theo said before leaving looking smart and devilishly handsome in his uniform.

The chauffeur was waiting for him when he walk out of the house. He got in only to hear someone voice.

“Wait for me” Carolyn called, running the short distance into the car.

“Are you both going to school together?” The chauffeur asked and it was Carolyn who answered.

“Yes, we are” she said the last part while starring at a shocked Theo.

The chauffeur had just driven into the high way when Theo finally spoke.

“What are you doing?” He asked but Carolyn didn’t reply.

“Weren’t you scared by my threat?” Theo said again but Carolyn payed deaf ears to his question.

“So you are staying. You really don’t know what you are signing up for right?”

“What must I do to scare you off?” He asked, moving close to her. On seeing that, Carolyn quickly told the driver to stop.

“But it’s in the middle of the high way and-”

“Just stop the car” she said which made him stop by the road side.

“Are you really getting off?” Theo asked surprise by her action.

“I am. I don’t have to seat and listen to your threats, I will get to school myself” with that said, she shut the door on his face, storming off.

A girl with a devilish look stood on the second floor watching Theo get out of his car while girls from junior high tried to get his attention.

“Even on the first day of school, he’s still as hot as ever, don’t you think so Brandi?” Danica, Brandi best friend ask as she join her.

“He is” Brandi echo feeling her heart race fast at the sight of Theo.

“So, do you intend to make him yours during this semester?” Danica asked.

“Have been trying to do that since the very first day I saw him but he only ignores me” Brandi replied looking a bit ruffled since she knew how attractive and popular she is.

“And that’s all due to Holly, his stupid girlfriend” Danica let out angrily.

“When you found it hard to get his attention, she stole him away though I still wonder how she manage to achieve that but let’s set that aside. You still like Theo right?” Danica asked and Brandi gave a nod.

“Then you’ve got to do your best to earn his attention. Your goal for this semester is to make Theo yours and I will be here to help you” Danica added and that got Brandi smiling.

Her gaze went back to Theo who was still downstairs.

He’s definitely going to be mine__ she thought.

❁ EMPTY CLASS ❁

“Good morning dude!” Terry greeted as soon as Theo walk into the empty class they often use for themself.

“Did you miss me cause I missed you” Terry said as he went to seat beside him.

“What are those?” Theo asked on seeing a lot of gift boxes on the table.

“Those are gifts for you and me. Our popularity didn’t die after spending a month at home for the holiday. You should be happy to know that your gifts are more than mine” Terry said looking a little jealous.

“But that’s the price for being handsome” Terry added teasingly.

“Just throw them all away” Theo said as he kept going through his phone.

“You are being cruel to your fans” Terry said which got him scoffing in return.

“What’s wrong? You’ve been in a bad mood ever since you arrive”

“Am not in a bad mood” Theo softly said In return.

“Common, we’ve been friends for a long time and I know your mood swings. Right now I can tell that someone has made you angry don’t tell me that it’s your Godsister?”

“How do you know that, I never told you about her?”

“Well, Holly kind of mentioned it during our last outing. Tell me how she succeeded in making you angry and is she pretty?” Terry asked excitedly making Theo think about his question.

Carolyn is a very pretty girl,he would be lying to himself if he thinks otherwise but every other thing about is ugly to him.

Never has anyone succeeded in making him lose his cool but she had and the most dangerous one of all is that she could read him.

She had done that during dinner, he had caught her gaze on him and could tell back then that she knew what he did.

No one have been able to do that not even his father which is why he’s angry and want her gone. He hates the fact that she can tell what’s on his mind, if she keep on being around him, she will be a danger to his peace of mind.

“Common, is she pretty?” Terry urge bringing him back to reality.

“She’s not! She’s ugly and chubby. She’s not the kind of girl you go for and also can you tell me how I can get rid of someone?”

“Rid? You are beginning to sound scary” Terry murmured thinking something crazy.

“Am not referring to whatever is in your head. What I mean is , I want someone away from me, how do I go about it?” Theo asked.

“Someone as In your Godsis right? You don’t have to do much just do what you are good at” Terry advice a mischievous look on his face.

Getting what his friend meant, Theo couldn’t stop himself from smiling.

Carolyn stood in front of Royal High entrance breathing heavily.

After leaving the car earlier, it had taken her half an hour to locate the bus station. The bus had stopped some distance away leaving her to run all the way to school.

She had been told to get to the staff office on time but now she’s late__ she thought as she stared at her watch.

On the other hand, two black sedan could be seen heading towards the school gate and in one of it is Ross who was on the phone.

“Out of the dozen people living in Australia, it can’t be that hard for you to find one girl” Ross yelled into the reciever.

“I already told you about her, must you need a picture? Its your job to find someone even without the pics ” Ross said more calmly this time.

The sudden stop of the car got his phone falling out of his hand.

“What the hell is going on?” Ross yelled at the two guards seated at the front.

“Am sorry your highness, it’s just that this girl showed up from no where” the driver said quickly.

Ross raise his head wanting to see who dare made his car stop when he saw her.

It’s his girl from the boutique, his angel from yesterday.

Immediately, Ross got out of the car and walk up to Carolyn.

“Am sorry, I didn’t mean to get in front of your car, I was on my way in when-”

“Two strikes” Ross let out slowly.

“Pardon””

“You are even more stunning up close” he said making Carolyn confuse.

“If you are going in, we don’t mind giving you a ride” Ross added quickly.

“Thanks but I’d rather walk the distance” Carolyn refused wanting to leave but Ross quickly took hold of her hand.

“There’s no way am losing you again”

“What!”

“What I meant is that Royal high is a very big place, you might lose your way if you are not careful. As you can see, am a student of this school, I can’t cause you any harm, so join me” he offered again.

Carolyn could feel the sincerity in him, it won’t harm her if she agree to go with him after all she’s late already.

“Okay then” she said and walk with him to the car, surprised when he opened the door for her to get in.

“Do we still go in, your highness?” One of the guard asked.

“Your highness?” A confused Carolyn said starring at Ross.

“We do” Ross replied the guard before giving her his attention. ” Well am a prince but I would prefer you call me Ross” he introduced himself.

“Carolyn” She said in return.

“So, what brings you here?” Ross asked wanting to know more about her.

“Am here to enroll and am pretty late. I hate being late to an appointment”

“Believe me, the feeling is mutual” he said earning a smile from her.

“Three strikes” Ross said once again but Carolyn heard him.

“Why do you keep saying that?” Carolyn ask.

“It’s just a way to admire your beauty” Ross quickly invented.

“Beauty? Am no beauty” Carolyn said as the car pull to a halt.

“Well, thank you for the ride your highness. Am extremely grateful” she said about to open the door but he held her hand.

“When will I see you again?” Carolyn brow raised due to his sudden question but she ended up answering him.

“Once I sign the document, I will begin the day after tomorrow ”

“See you then, Carolyn” Ross said, his eyes filled with admiration for her.

“If I may ask your highness, Who is she and why did you let her into your car?” One of the guard asked.

“She’s my future wife ” Ross replied looking very certain.

❁ STAFF OFFICE ❁

“Here’s your ID, make sure you don’t lose it since it’s very important” the teacher who had help her with her enrollment said as she handed her her school ID

“Thank you ma’am”

“If you don’t have anything to do, I suggest you take a tour around the school mainly to familiarize yourself with things” the teacher suggested.

And a while later, Carolyn stood in the field starring around her.

She didn’t know why but the thought of studying here made her feel strange, maybe it’s due to her fear of being around Theo.

She return to the building, intent on checking out the third floor since she already did with the first and second when the bell rang.

“Don’t deny it, I know you like him and am going to tell him” a female student said as she ran out of class, chased by her friend.

She ram straight into Carolyn, staining her cloth with the candy she had with her.

“Oh no! Are you okay?” The girl doing the chase ask.

“I am ”

“This is all your fault June. You shouldn’t have chase me” The one who collided into Carolyn said.

“I shouldn’t but you made a mess of her cloth Scarlett” June yelled at her friend.

“Oh my Gosh. Am sorry cutie, I have an extra pair of cloth in my locker, you can use the bathroom to change” Scarlett said.

“You don’t have-”

“It’s our fault your cloth got stained, let us apologise by doing this” June cut her off and having no choice, she went with them.

“Tell us, are you a new student?” Scarlett asked as Carolyn change into her cloth using one of the stall.

“I am”

“What grade are you?” June asked.

“Grade twelve” Carolyn answered.

“You are the same class with us” Scarlett said as Carolyn walk out of the stall.

“Wow, my dress suits you perfectly” Scarlett said sincerely.

“That’s because she has a much more better figure” June mock her friend.

“Whatever”

“Well am June and she’s Scarlett. Apart from being dumb, she’s one of the hottest girls in school” June said earning Carolyn’s laughter.

“I don’t know if I should take that as a compliment or as an insult” Scarlett said.

“It’s an insult, sweetie” June replied with a smile on her face.

“Cold face is at it again and this time it’s a junior student” A girl said before running off to spread the gossip around.

“Let’s go take a look” Scarlett said while June pulled Carolyn along.

They joined some students who were at the scene already.

Carolyn had no idea what was going on but on getting to the scene, she finally understood___
