Season 3, episode 17.
The ladies started with cleaning up, while the guys did some patching and carpentry work in the house. Not too long Chris phone began to ring again and he knew that must be Eve, “hi where are you? Chris asked cleaning the sweat that almost blinded him. ” still far, our car broke down, she replied. “Oh I’m so sorry ok, I’m kind of busy here at home when you take off let me know ok, he said and she ended the call. Soon they heard a knock on the gate, Jay who was looking for a way to escape quickly went out to answer, he opened up and right before him was eve laughing, “hey you this 419! Welcome jare, he said wanting to help with her bag. ” thank you Jay, you’re looking so fat, she said shaking him as they entered. “Madam the madam! Joe cheered as she embraced Chris tightly, just then Clara came out from the kitchen to the sitting room. Eve freeze immediately she saw her, ” Clara, she whispered going slowly to her. “Please just stay where you are, don’t try to come near me! Clara shouted with her palms showing the stop sign. ” please Clara I’m very sorry, please forgive me, she said already on her knees dragging herself near. “I’m telling you to stay where you are now before I’ll do something stupid! Clara shouted lifting the knife she held up and Chris quickly rushed holding Eve back, ” please Clara I’m sorry I swear, i didn’t meant to do it please forgive me, Eve cried but Clara bashed into the kitchen to continue what she was doing. “It’s ok alright, what you did is unforgivable, don’t expect her to forgive you that easily and don’t force it. With time she will ok, Chris gently said to her as she sniffed in his arms. ” Chris is right, don’t force her, let it be her freewill ok, Jay added and she nodded looking around the house. “Was it that serious? She asked. ” yes oo, we even lost two of our friends in the process, Joe said. “Oh my God! Do I know them? Eve asked. ” no, those are my friends I told you about, two left from them, Joe said waving at Marcus, Benny, Tessy and Eli and they waved back and she gave her condolence. “What about them? Eve asked referring to Andrea and Natasha, ” oh she is Andrea, Nora friend while the other beautiful lady there is Natasha, Clara friend, Chris said and they waved too at her. “I hope you all know her? Chris threw the question to them, ” no! Jay shouted. “Mad man, Chris replied him. ” she is Evelyn my sweet tom tom, Chris said holding her…
Nora kept dialling Francis number but it was switched off, she drove straight to his place after escaping from the building. “Where as this guy gone to! She shouted angrily hitting the gate violently then she remembered she had Francis spare key. ” will I see it? She asked herself scattering her clothes all over the car searching for it, then she found it, “awnnn so sweet, she said and tried each of the keys on it and the gate opened. She drove it locking it behind her and noticed no one had entered there for days, ” did Francis traveled without telling me? She kept thinking and used the keys on the door which it opened. She went to his room and saw on his table an address on it, she looked more and recognised Andrea number on the paper too. “Wait wait wait, did Francis traced Andrea number to know where she is? And besides Andrea is with Jay, and….. I hope he didn’t visit them for revenge, she thought pacing round the room. ” Francis don’t tell me you’re dead! She shouted and ran out to other rooms and found it empty. “Oh Clara! I’ll kill you! She shouted with a red face as everything dawned on her….
Days has past and the gangs were happy living without worries, and Prisca already called telling her she’s coming the next day. Nora was totally forgotten and they were no longer worried about security but thinking how to get Joy and Smith buried. ” you know Rose does not know about this, how are we going to tell her? Clara asked Eli and there was silence. He slowly took his phone and dialled his daughter number, rose saw her phone ringing and burst out laughing, “what’s the problem? Linda asked. ” can you imagine, it’s my father calling me, she said showing her the phone. “So, any problem with that? Linda asked. ” eh my dad has never called me oo this must be a mistake, rose said. “Don’t say that Rose, pick the call please, Linda said but rose waved it aside concentrating on the movie she was watching. ” aren’t you going to rest? Remember we have a journey ahead of us tomorrow, Prisca walked in. “We will sleep in the night Na, rose replied. ” oh madam, Prisca said and left to the kitchen….
Nora traced the address disguising herself and saw Eve and Andrea going out, probably to the market. “Wow, full house, she said smiling to herself. She already gathered a new gang two days after she stayed in Francis house, she called them immediately telling them her doubts were correct. ” ok ma come back immediately, the gang replied and she reluctantly left with her heart burning in anger.
Prisca arrived the next day and called Clara to open the gate for her, with happiness Clara shouted like a child as her friends watched her laughing at her. She opened up the gate and right before her was Prisca, Linda and Rose. “Rose! She breathed calling her in shock. ” surprised to see me or you’re not happy to see me? Rose asked as she didn’t like the reaction on her face. “No no no please come in, she said and Embraced her aunt, ” look at you Clara, I’m so happy for you, Prisca said as she held her entering in,side. “Welcome ma, Eve went to her first embracing her which made Clara mad, she ignored them and saw Linda for the first time, ” hi you must be Linda right? Clara asked staring at her. “That’s right ma, she said Bowing her legs a little. ” please sit down don’t stand like that, Clara said to her and turned to see how Eli hugged Rose tightly which made Rose herself uncomfortable. “Hmmmm so somebody can miss me, Rose said in a scornful manner and wanted walking away but Eli drew her back, ” won’t you sit here small? He asked her and she looked surprised. “Hmmm by the way where’s mummy? She asked looking around. ” why didn’t you tell me you’re coming? Clara jumped in. “That’s because you won’t agree to it, Rose replied still looking around. ” still if you insisted I would have agreed to it so I can get something for you, Clara said. “You can still get it for me, did mum go to somewhere? Anuty Tessy, She asked and Tessy looked at Clara with her mouth open not knowing what to say. ” ermmm go and take your rest, I know you’re tired, Marcus said.
Rose who always has this spirit in detecting something fast slowly got up, already Clara heart was beating, “dear what should I bring for you? Clara asked her but she kept looking at Clara then turned to her dad who was Bowing his head, ” where’s uncle Smith and mummy? Have they traveled their own? Rose asked. But there was silence, “somebody answer me! She shouted hitting her legs on the floor and Eli stood up holding her, ” it’s OK please, he said and Rose looked at him, “what are you hiding from me? You know you can’t hide it from me, she said sternly and Eli sat down weakly. ” please please… Ermmm you see… Ermmm….. “You see what! Rose interrupted her. ” your mum passed on, Jay saved their ass and everyone looked at him. “My mum? Rose asked with a shaky tone, ” daddy is it true? She scre-med on him. “Na true, it’s true! He shouted back and Rose weakly sat on the floor and Linda went to her, ” it’s OK, please be strong, Linda said to her crying on her as Clara, Prisca and Tessy went kneeling besides her. “I had the feelings, I ignored it, I should have known, she kept saying as tears poured down her eyes. ” I’m so sorry, I didn’t know how to tell you, Clara said holding her. “Rose it’s OK , it is well, Linda said. “No yours is well not mine, Rose replied her. ” what do you mean? You still have your dad right? Please it ok, Linda said. “I have my dad, and you still have two, now which is better? Rose asked and Linda looked confused…

“Rose.. Prisca whispered to her eyeing her. ” what’s the use Anuty, we came for this, we came to make anuty Clara happy but what now, Rose said. “What are you trying to say? You’re making me confused, Clara said. ” this is your lost daughter Mirabel, rose said taking Linda hands to Clara and everyone stood up in shock. “Rose what are you doing? Clara asked. ” it’s true, I used the birthmark in confirming, Prisca said and unzipped Linda dress whose zip was on the side of her gown and revealed to everyone her birthmark, “yes Mirabel had this birthmark, Eve confirmed it and hugged the confused Linda who wasn’t understanding anything. ” can somebody explain this drama for me! Clara shouted holding her head. “Dear can you tell them your story? Prisca asked Linda. ” what is there to tell? The people I thought were my parents left me telling me I was only picked on thier doorpost…. “Where were they from? Joe interrupted. ” Bauchi, she replied and he looked at Chris. “Where did you meet her Rose? Chris asked. ” in my school there at Enugu, they ran away with her after they found her, rose replied.
“Clara I know this is hærd, but right before you is your daughter, Mirabel, Prisca said to the crying Clara who couldn’t believe her daughter was standing right before her. ” Rose what are you saying? Linda asked with a shaky tone. “I found out when you were in the hospital, and anuty Prisca confirmed it herself, you’re lucky girl, rose said to her and she turned to Clara who was already close to her, ” MIRABEL! She shouted hugging her tightly shedding tears. Everything was like a dream to her as she hugged clara with many questions running on her mind, “how are you my daughter? Clara asked after they disengaged. ” daughter? I forgot I was someone daughter for a long time now. Why was I found on a doorpost? Why did I have to suffer this way? Why didn’t you just abort me? Linda asked and Eve came in as Clara was not able to do anything. “It’s my fault not hers. I was a maid and a nanny in your father’s house….. She narrated the story and Joe did same as Linda couldn’t believe her ears. ” dear your lost caused a lot of problems to me and my marriage, I wouldn’t have dumped you for anything in the world Mirabel, clara said in tears holding her. “That’s my name? Linda asked. ” yes, we called you that but you were taken from us on the eve to your dedication, clara replied and they heard a horn at the gate. “That must be Clement, Jay said and Clara looked weak as she watched jay go out to open the gate. Soon Clem and Jay walked in laughing happily and he wasn’t happy with the mood he saw on the faces as he entered, ” what’s the problem? And why I’m I seeing tears? He asked and saw Prisca.
“Aunty Prisca! He whispered going to her but she gave him that stop sign, ” don’t come any closer, she said to him and he breathed in, “I know you’re still mad at me but believe me I’ve seen my wrong and I’m so sorry. Darling please beg her for me, Clem said turning to Clara but saw her keeping her chin on a girl he didn’t know shedding tears. ” what’s the problem and who is she? Clem asked holding her away but she hit his hand, “don’t try to take me away from my daughter, she said and he stopped looking at the girl more closely. ” your daughter? He asked shocked. “Yes, our daughter, Clara dropped and Linda looked up surprised then looked at Clem whose feet couldn’t carry him anymore. ” what! He exclaimed. “Dear this is your father, when you were taken, our marriage started getting fault until finally we got separated, Clara said and Linda kept looking at Clem not knowing what to do or say, ‘Mirabel, Clem called not believing his eyes, he didn’t even know when be Embraced her tightly and Rose watched shedding tears wishing her parents could do same to her…..
That evening there was celebration in the house and that night Clara and Linda was having daughter and child discussion that Linda ended up sleeping on her laps which Clara felt like crying. Not too long rose Walked into the sitting room and saw Clara already dozing, she saw Linda on her Laps and cleaned the tears that dropped from her eyes. She went closer and tapped Clara, ” you’re gonna have neck pains, why not make yourself comfortable on the bed, rose said gently to her as Clara cleaned her eyes and still met Mirabel sleeping. Clara knows Rose very well and she could see she was hurt, “come sit here, she said holding her hands and she sat down close to her, ‘I want you to know that I’m always there for you. Don’t think my daughter arrival will take me away from you, even if Joy is not here right now, know that I’ll always be there for you anytime you need me ok, she said car-ssing her hair and she nodded. ” I have two daughters, don’t forget that, Clara continued smiling at her and Rose hugged her. “You can sleep here too, I don’t need the comfort of the bed today, Clara said and Rose smiled. ” ok where? She asked. “Here, sleep with Linda, Clara said shifting Linda a bit to make a space for Rose and she laid down happily…
The next morning Prisca woke them up clapping her hands as everyone came out watching them smiling, ” madam twins it’s morning oo, Natasha said. “Eh I agree, clara replied yawning as they all exchanged greetings. Soon a horn was heard on the gate, ” Clem sleep for road today? Eli asked and they all burst out laughing as Jay went to open the gate. “Is Mirabel awake? Clem asked as Jay opened up but he only smiled. ” Mirabel, he called and hugged her before she could say anything, “good morning….. Dad, Mirabel said shyly and Clem smiled. ” it’s OK, I hope you slept well? He asked and she nodded. “We are going out ok, just get yourself tidied up, Clem said to her and she sluggishly left. ”
shoooouuuuu! Na only Mirabel you see for this house? Tessy asked as Clem ignored everybody including Clara. “No old school please, Clem replied and Tessy threw on him the hand towel she was holding. ” sorry sorry good morning everyone, and my sweetheart good morning, he said wanting to k-ss Clara but she ran away taking rose with her to meet Mirabel in the room. “Bring goodies back! Andrea shouted as Rose and Mirabel left with Clement. ” sure! Rose replied. ” they will be alright haba! Prisca said to Clara who was already panicking. “Why do you love worrying yourself for nothing? Natasha added but Clara left the door blind she stood and sat on the sofa still worried while everyone left one by one for thier business leaving Eli and Clara alone. ” I see wetin you do with rose yesterday night, you know say Na you dey always do that thing with am. Thank you, Eli said to Clara and she looked at him, “thank you for what? Rose is like a daughter to me and if Joy didn’t come to help in my revenge I’m sure she would have still been alive. I owe my friend a lot and I will take care of Rose like my own daughter, Clara replied him and he nodded and left the sitting room leaving Clara alone then she remembered how Clem attempted to k-ss her, ” oh no, I’m falling again, she said to herself throwing her hair backwards and left to help the friends in the kitchen.
Clem took them out for shopping, Mirabel who has never have such experience was glad Rose was there to cover her up but unknown to them they were monitored by Nora men, “hello boss, your husband is with two young girls and they just left the shopping mall, one of her men called. ” young girls? Nora asked. “Yes, he treats them as if they are his daughters, he replied. ” where the hell did he pick them from? Nora asked. “He drove out with them from your enemies zone, he replied. ” I don’t care to know who They are, just get them for me ok, Nora said. “Ok boss, he ended the call still following thier car. From the shopping mall Clem drove them to a restaurant where he sat down eating with them, but his new secretary he replaced Natasha with kept calling telling him a very important client is in the company and he wants to leave the state soon. ” what’s the problem? Linda asked as Clem dropped the call. “It’s nothing dear,just a call from my secretary informing me about an important client who wants to meet with me urgently, Clem replied. “Don’t worry about us, we can trace our way back home, right Rose? Linda said throwing the question to her and she nodded. ” are you sure about that? Clem asked. “We’ll be fine besides we can call mum to pick us from here, we will explain everything to her, rose said. ” alright when I’m done I’ll go straight to the house ok, see you later, Clem said giving them a peck and dropped a clean note for them for thier transportation back home. They stayed back in the restaurant eating and shared how they feel in the development that took place in thier life just yesterday. Soon two guys walked up to them, lifted up thier shirts showing them a gun, “one shout, you’ll be finished just comply and follow me outside, one guy said to them. With fear they looked around and the faces they saw was weaklings, no one they saw could rescue them in the restaurant, “but what have we done please? Linda asked as they followed them out, he opened up the door for them and they entered already Rose tactfully switched off her phone and put it at the front of her skirt, ” let me have your phone? The guy who sat at the back asked them. “We don’t have a phone please, Linda replied but he searched them and saw They was empty. They silently sat down holding thier hands in fear not knowing where they was taken to until they branched a lonely street and horned at a gate. Soon it was open and they were commanded to get out, ” where are we! Rose shouted but the guy pushed her in and they saw a lady seated with some groups of boys, “beautiful girls, you’re welcome, Nora said to them. ” safe it! why are we here? Rose asked. Nora was excited with such boldness, “ok let’s start this way, how are you related to Clem? Nora asked and Linda looked at Rose. “Why the question? Rose asked. ” never you answer my question with question ok! Nora shouted. “It’s ok he’s my dad, what’s the problem? Linda replied and Nora got up looking at her, “‘your dad? What’s your name? Nora asked calmly. “Mirabel, can can we leave now? Linda asked as Nora looked shocked. “He found his daughter, nice one, she thought in her mind, ” take them away! She commanded her gangs and they quickly approached them, “what is this suppose to mean? What have we done! They shouted as the boys tied them up, ” you all will regret this! Rose shouted and Nora turned, “of course I know they will come for you, which I’ll be waiting, Nora said touching rose on her cheeks. ” I guess you must be the witch Nora, I wish you know what will be coming, rose said boldly and Nora looked at her for a while and Walked away. “Are they with any phones? She shouted lighting her pipe as Rose words touched her. ” they are with no phones, the guy replied. “You all should be prepared, there will be war! She said and left to Francis room.
