🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀

Okay, what’s happening, why’s Jade suddenly hugging me, this girl is full of surprises

She finally disengaged from the hug and went back to Sophie’s room

I walked to my room and met James still sleeping, I mean I just woke this boy before going outside but he’s sleeping again, am beginning to wonder how he manages to come early to school

“James” I called as I patted him “James get up” but he just changed his sleeping position but he didn’t stand

Okay, I know what to do

I brought my face close to his ear

“James get up there’s a snake beside you!!” I yelled and he jumped up

“Ahhh!!!!, Where is it, where is it” he scre-med as he stood up and I burst into laughter

“You tricked me Ethan” he said gritting his teeth and I nodded

“Go and take your bath, we are late for school” I said

“So you’ve changed your mind, you are coming back to school?” He asked and I nodded

“Wow, I love you man” he said hugging me

“Are you sure you aren’t g-y?” I asked and he quickly withdrew from the hug

“I hate you man” he said as he took a towel and walked out of the room and I just continued laughing

I looked at the time, it’s already past 8
I took my uniform and started getting dressed and James came in

“You’ve bathed already?” I asked and I stared at him in surprise

“Of course, did you expect me to spend hours in bathing, and stop staring at me like that, I know am hot but sorry bro I ain’t g-y” he said with a smirk and I scoffed

“Neither am I” I said

James began to get dressed and I took my phone, I met 11 missed calls from Addisson, she must have called while we were sleeping

“Oh no” I said and James looked at me as he buttoned up his shirt

“What is it” He asked

“Addisson, she called last night, I just met 11 missed calls on my phone”

“Ooh, she was really worried about you yesterday, when we get to school you’ll talk to her” James said and I nodded

He wore his jacket and we took our backpacks and left the room

We met Josh and Jade in the sitting room

“Let’s go” I said and Jade stood up

“Goodbye Josh” Jade said

“Goodbye milady, do visit us again soon” he said and I scoffed, there’s no way Jade is coming back to this house

We went out of the house and walked to the bus stop

“Aren’t we taking a cab?” She asked

“No let’s just take the bus” James said

“What!, No, I’ve never taken the bus in my life and am definitely not taking it now, it’s filled with lots of filthy people and I can’t stand them so we are taking the cab” she said and quickly stopped a cab

I shook my head in silence, here I thought she was starting to change but there’s still a lot of the spoilt brat within her

We entered the cab and the driver drove off

Minutes later we were in front of the school gate and we entered in,side the school

“Let’s go to the principal’s office first Ethan” Jade said and I nodded

“I’ll meet you guys later in class then” James said and went off to the class

We walked to the principal office and knocked

“Come in” Jade’s Mom said and we opened the door

“Jade where the hell have you been, do you know how worried I was” she said immediately we came in and I felt a stab of guilt

It’s because of me Jade wasn’t able to go home and her Mom got worried

“Sorry Mom, I would have called but you seized my phone remember” Jade said

“Where were you?” She asked

“I went to get Ethan and we in school ma’am, you are my principal now” Jade said and her Mom nodded slowly

“So Ethan, did you steal Finn’s money?” Jade’s Mom asked

“No, ma’am” I said

“Then how did the money end up in your bag?” She asked

“I don’t know” I replied

“Is there any time you left your backpack in the class yesterday?”

“Actually, there was a time, Jade’s friends called me out of the class and warned me to stay away from Jade and to stop getting on her nerves”

“That must be when Cole and Finn slipped the money into your bag” Jade said

“You can go and bring your friends now Jade” Jade’s Mom said

“Okay” she said and went out of the office

🌀 Jade’s POV 🌀

I quickly walked to there classroom and I met them, the 3 of them were actually together

Daisy saw me first and called my name

“Jade” she called and the rest turned to look at me

“Where were you Jade?” Emma asked “we came to your class to apologise to you but we couldn’t find you”

“Yeah and we even came to your house but even your Mom didn’t know your whereabouts” Daisy said

“Okay, if you really want me to forgive you, then come with me to the principal office and admit you framed Ethan” I said

“No way, I might be expelled” Cole said

“What about you guys” I said turning to Emma and Daisy

“We… we’ll come with you” Emma stuttered and Daisy nodded

“Okay” I said then I looked at Cole “you see it doesn’t really matter if you admit it or not, you’ll definitely be punished since I already have 3 witnesses against you; Finn, Emma and Daisy”

“Why are you doing this Jade, what is wrong with you, are you doing all this cause of that stupid jerk?, You even broke up with me Jade, was all that because of him?” Cole asked

“You almost got an innocent person expelled Cole, I think my anger for you is justified”

“But that’s what you do too, you’ve got lots of people who got you angry or stood up against you expelled. Why are getting so hyped over Ethan’s case now?” He asked

“I guess am changing then, let’s go girls” I said and I walked out of the class with Emma and Daisy leaving Cole astonished

I went to my class and got Finn

We went to the principal office together and Mrs Logan was already seated there

Emma, Daisy and Finn agreed that Cole was the mastermind behind everything and the principal sent for Cole

“I’ll go bring him, Principal” Mrs Logan said and stood up

Few minutes later, Mrs Logan was back with Cole

“Cole, are you the one that framed Ethan” Mom asked and he kept silent

“It’s obvious he’s the one” Mrs Logan said

“Well, you know that RHS is the best high school in the country, we are not only known for our academic excellence but we are also known for impacting good morals into the students but today Cole, you’ve tarnished our image, an image we’ve worked hærd to built. Some might think the punishment am about giving you is harsh but RHS doesn’t tolerate nonsense, so Cole, you are hereby expelled from RHS” Mom said handing him an expulsion letter and Cole gasped

“Please ma’am, don’t expell me, am in my last grade high school, please don’t expell me now” he pleaded

“You should have known that before framing someone for theft. Get out of my office or I’ll call the security to get you out” Mom said in a stern voice and Cole slowly turned around and walked out of the office

“Finn, Daisy and Emma, you guys helped Cole in his plot but I’ll be lenient with you cause you turned yourselves in, you guys are suspended for the next 3 weeks” Mom said

🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀

Jade and I walked out of the office after the principal expelled Cole and suspended Finn, Emma and Daisy

“Thanks” I said as we walked to the class

“No need to thank me Ethan, I only did what I did cause I felt guilty and now am relieved, am free of the guilt now” she said and walked to the class

I walked to the class too and the first person I saw was Addisson

“Why didn’t you pick up your phone when I called yesterday?” She asked

“Am sorry I was asleep” I replied

“I was very worried Ethan, I would have checked on you immediately after school but it was my Mom’s birthday and I couldn’t miss it. I was only able to get out of the house in the evening though it was pretty late, I came to your house and knocked but no one answered, I called you but you didn’t pick up, I waited outside for a long time Ethan” she said and I felt bad

“Am really sorry Addison, we were all asleep” I apologised

“Okay, why don’t you make it up to me” she said

“Okay, how should I make it up to you?” I asked

“Let’s get lunch together next weekend, I’d have said this weekend but I think I’ll be busy, my aunt has a wedding” she said and I nodded

The rest of the day was pretty boring

Jade didn’t say a word to me again, I guess she’s back to being the Jade I knew at first

The bell ranged for end of school and I stood up and walked out of the school with James

We bumped into the principal and we greeted

“You’ll be coming to tutor Jade today right?” She asked and I nodded

I actually forgot about that tutoring stuff

James and I walked to the bus station, and soon the bus arrived and we entered

🌀 Mrs Prescott’s POV 🌀

Jade came back home and she explained that she spent the night at Ethan’s house

Wow, I wonder why she was so bent on proving Ethan’s innocence, she even let her friends get expelled and suspended for Ethan

“Okay, eat your food and get ready, Ethan will be coming over for your tutoring lesson” I said

“Mom please, let’s just stop the tutoring lesson, I don’t want it” she said

“You need it Jade, your grades are really poor so better concentrate cause your exams will be coming up soon and I want a better grade than before” I said and she nodded and climbed up the stairs

About an hour later, Ethan came and I called Jade downstairs

“You guys will be having the lesson here in the sitting room” I said and they nodded

I still don’t trust Jade

I sat down on a couch facing them and pretended to be busy with my phone while I actually watched them

There’s no chemistry between this two, Jade is definitely not concentrating and Ethan doesn’t really speak like a tutor, that boy is just too quiet

Maybe they just need time to get along; I thought

Days passed by and it was still the same thing, Jade isn’t interested in studying at all and there’s no good communication between Ethan and her

I sat in my office as I thought of a way to improve the situation

I picked up the telephone and my desk and called Mrs Logan

“Can you send Ethan and Jade to my office please” I said

“Yes ma’am” she said and ended the call

Minutes later, both of them were in my office

“I’ll be talking to you guys both as Jade’s Mom and the principal” I said and they nodded

“Jade” I called “Since Ethan began teaching you have you learnt anything from him?” I asked

“No Mom, I already told you am not interested in any tutoring lesson” she said

“But you need it” I said

“You always make all the decisions in my life Mom but I think I should have a say this time, I don’t want a tutor” she said and I smiled

I turned to Ethan “Do you like being Jade’s seatmate?” I asked and he shook his head signifying no

“So if you have the chance to change seat you would?” I asked

“Yes” he said and I smiled okay

“Okay, let’s make things this way, I’ll org-nise a quiz for the two of you, if Ethan wins, he’ll be changed from being your seatmate but he’ll keep tutoring you Jade but if you win, Ethan will stop tutoring you but he’ll still be your seatmate. Is that ok with you Ethan?” I asked and he nodded “what about you Jade?”

“This is not fair Mom, Ethan will definitely win” she said

“I guess you are right, okay why don’t we make it 3 challenges, each of you get to choose anything you want to compete in but I get to choose the 3rd competition, is that okay?” I asked

“Yes” Jade said

“I assume you are still going with quiz Ethan or do you want to change?” I asked

“No” he said

“So what about you Jade, what competition are you going for”

“Race” she said and I smiled, Jade has always been the best racer right from when she was a kid

“Okay, we’ve got quiz and race, now remains the 3rd challenge, which I’ll choose” I said and kept silent for a bit

“Your 3rd challenge is to make friends with a pauper” I said

“What!” Jade said

“Yeah, who ever makes friend with a pauper first wins the 3rd challenge, you must show proves though, like pictures and videos of you and the pauper having fun and there should be no tricks cause I’ll hire someone to watch you guys” I said

“But Mom….”

“Don’t tell me it’s not fair Jade” I said cutting her short “You might really hate poor people alot and don’t want to associate with them but Ethan is also an extreme introvert, he doesn’t know how to make friends so this task is difficult for both of you” I said and she kept silent

“Since you guys don’t have any objections, lemme remind you of what’s at stake, If you win Jade, Ethan won’t be your tutor anymore but he’ll still be your seatmate but if Ethan wins, he’ll won’t be your seatmate again but he will continue to tutor you and you will concentrate with utmost attention, Agreed?” I asked and Ethan nodded “Jade?”

“Agreed” she said

“Great, the quiz will hold in the next 3 days, you guys can leave now” I said and they left

I smiled at myself, this is gonna be interesting
