“Hold on a minute” Anita said slowly as she tried to feel her way in a conversation that had suddenly become funny to her. ” I agree to come” she said finally.

“Nice beside I will tell my husband to allow you work in his company beside you can leave Mira with your parent because of the change of school and environment so it wouldn’t affect her, you can be coming to check on her, what do you think?”

Nope that won’t be possible She don’t think she can ever relocate without her daughter when knowing fully well that she would not he out of Carlos sight.

She would just have to think about it later “Okay, have got to hang up now to attend to something but hope you’re getting better” she asked flatly.

“Yeah, thanks” she said as the call disconnect.

“What ” Mrs lucky said pretending she didn’t know why she called her.

“I think you relocating is a good idea. I was the one who came out with this idea so I told your mom to talk to her about it and luckily she agreed when your mom talked to her” Mr lucky said coughing slightly.

“Dad you should have told me before concluding on this with mom beside am not a little child anymore, you guys still need to get that fact” Anita said as she felt her head spin.

She was obviously talking too much with her strength, making the headache worst.

“We know but you’re still my little child beside I want a better life for you. do you think am happy seeing my only child in such a messy condition, no of course not. that’s the more reason you need to relocate, to forget everything happened between you and Carlos then start another dimension of life” Mrs lucky said.

That’s right but the pregnancy she’s carrying, she haven’t tell them.

“Mom am carrying another baby for Carlos” she said expecting to see shock written allover their face but she saw none.

They sure of course knew she was pregnant and she lost the baby. Mrs lucky look at her husband through the eyes asking a question if she should go on and tell her.

Mr lucky titled his eyes away. she could tell her if she wants to, she has every right to know.

“Mom, dad you’re not saying anything”. she expected them to yell why or maybe some other things but they’re mute like they know about it or are they hiding something from me?.

“Is there something you’re not telling me about? Mrs lucky stepped forward and held Anita hand patting it lightly.” you lost the baby, you had miscarriage” she said, Anita looked at her mom with her eyes w¡dening that she lost her baby.

Even though she never wanted the baby when she heard she was pregnant but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t happy.

She was even looking forward to the s€× of the child.

No, Carlos made her lose her own flesh and blood.

“Carlos you will pay for the death of my baby.you’ve done other things to me and went Scot free but not this time” she said determinedly as she lay down resting her head on the soft pillows as she felt her tummy.

“Kelvin do you think its right arresting Carlos without letting your family know about it” Clara asked as she placed the food on the plates. she felt like this was the best time to discuss with him beside Mira was already asleep in her room.

The poor girl had slept off as soon as she got into bed especially when she had an adventurous day.

“Hmm I don’t think am wrong in this” he said coming closer to her.
Clara becoming aware of the right weight of Kelvin’s arm across her shoulders,as he tightened his grip. bringing her into the circle of his arm and pushing her chin with his other hand.

Clara drew in sharp breath. her breath w¡dening before they closed as his l-ips came down on hers, compelling.

She knows kelvin was a great sed-cer and fond of using this whenever he doesn’t want to reply her but not now.

She won’t give in to his sed-ction.

She stepped away, saying breathlessly.”kelvin answer my question”

He laughed down at her flushed face.” why not?”

Turning away and clutching the edge of the dinning table with one hand. she put the other to her temples for a moment and silently shook her head, trying to formulate a sensible speech from the incoherence of her thoughts.

Kelvin touched her arm,coaxing running his fingers from her elbow to the sleeve of her dress.

“Clara I know what am doing, you don’t have to get yourself worried about it?”.

“Really but you can’t keep him in the cell, you don’t have the right to. am not supporting him for what he did but let your family know about it so you don’t get blamed for locking him up” she said vehemently, swinging round to face him.

“Okay I will do that later maybe in the morning cause now I’m so tired” he said.

“Oh kelvin” she snapped just resisting the desire to stamp her fist with temper. ” can you be serious”.

“Okay am serious” he said looking at her stormy face, he stopped smiling when he saw how seriously she really is. just then his phone rang.

Taking it out from his pocket as he picked it. it was his father and he seemed to be annoyed.
“Kelvin what the hell have you done” his father yelled through the phone.

“I can’t remember doing anything foolish” he said already knowing it was about Carlos.

“Why would you arrest carlos. I never expected you to take that step on your own without allowing anyone know about it, have you forgotten that Carlos is your cousin or what the hell were you think when you did that.”

“You don’t have to call me and start yelling at me like am a kid. I locked him up cause he’s behaving like an animal and need to be dealt with. what if that young lady had died, this isn’t what we’re gonna be saying. you aren’t after the reason why I did it but you’re just after why I locked him up without permission beside do I have to take the so called permission before something that warrant me doing it” kelvin snapped back firmly as Clara tried to hold his arm but he jerked it off.

“We would have settled this matter privately without bringing the Montana name out. now its allover the news word line and now the family reputation is at risk, its all because of you. you love doing things you own way and end up destroying things”.

“What’s more important is the family reputation” kelvin asked, surprised to hear this coming out from his father.

“Carlos has already been released and his father is very mad at you and…..” kelvin didn’t wait to hear the last of this bullshit as he hang up the call angrily and immediately snapped his phone off.

He didn’t do anything bad but they were making him feel like he did.
So Carlos has been released.
He know he was going to be released.

“What happened” Clara asked but kelvin ignored him heading straight into his room.

He wasn’t ready to talk to anyone.
