Chapter 2…☀

I arrived at the school, paid the chauffeur and headed towards the school gate.

I was in such a hurry that I bumped into a woman exiting the school gate.

“I’m so sorry, so sorry ” I told her as I ran in,side.

I ran straight to the principal’s office and when I got there, there was a mini crowd in there.

Cody and Caden, their teacher, a boy the same age as Cody and Caden, the principal and a furious woman.

I rushed straight to Cody and picked him up.

“What happened to you? Did you hurt yourself? Did anything happen? ” I asked him, scanning through his body.

I gasped when I saw a tiny bruise on his forehead.

“OMG! ” I gasped, tears filling my eyes.

“What happened baby?” I asked him but he was quiet.

I dropped him down and faced the principal.

“What happened to my son? ” I asked furiously.

“Calm down Miss Amy, it was a minor accident ” the principal said in a calm voice.

“A minor accident? You call that bruise on my son’s forehead a minor accident? ” I snapped at him.

“So she’s the mother of these two brats? ” the woman who was in the office with us, blurted out.

“Excuse you? ” I said cause she better take back her words cause I’m finna beat the hell outta her if she doesn’t.

How dare she call my little angels, brats?

“Amy, Cody had a fight with Ian here ” Cody’s teacher said, pointing at the little boy who stood in front of the woman.

I looked at Cody cause he’s not the one to fight, he’s the calmest and Caden is the most stubborn though they’re both stubborn.

“He started it, he pushed me first and I pushed him back then he pushed me so hærd I fell and hit my head against the floor ” Cody narrated and my jaw dropped in shock.

He pushed my Cody so hærd he hit his head against the floor?

“Did…did…did y’all hear that? ” I asked everyone in the office.

“I’m sure your son must have started, how dare he push my son?” the woman blurted out again.

How arrogant!

I was boiling, so furious I had to push the woman so hærd making her stumble backward.

I was rushing over to her to give her the beating of her life but I was held down by the principal and Cody’s teacher.

“No lemme go! Lemme pull her hair so hærd! Lemme make sure that ugly face of hers needs surgery ” I snarled, trying to free myself from their grips.

“Let’s go Ian, she’s a crazy woman ” the arrogant woman said and exited the room.

“Come back here, I’m not done with ya! ” I yelled.

She exited the office and I faced the teacher and the principal.

“Mr principal! This is your school and you’re solely responsible for everything that happens in this school so, how can you be so careless to have let my Cody get hurt like this? ” I yelled at him.

“Calm down Miss Amy, we’re sorry for this and we assure you it won’t happen again ” he said.

“Don’t make me go drop a complaint against this school, you hear me? No one should hurt my babies, no one at all! ” I seethed.

“Yes ma’am, we’re very sorry for this “the teacher replied.

“we already treated his bruise, it just have to be plastered since he lost consciousness at first and that’s why we called you ” the teacher blurted out.

“He what? He lost consciousness? And you both didn’t let me pull of that woman’s hair? God! ” I snarled through gritted teeth.

“We are sorry Miss Amy ” the principal said.

“Ah! Enough with these sorrys, I’m taking my babies home ” I stated.

“But school isn’t closed yet ” the teacher said.

“I don’t care! I don’t f*cking care! My Cody needs proper treatment so I’m taking them home to give him that and you’re filling his register as ‘present in school today’ cause all these happened right under y’all noses and it’s y’all fault!

I held my two kids and we matched outta the office.

Wish I saw that arrogant bitch, I’d have scattered that ugly face of hers.

I took their backpacks and we went to the bus station.

A bus arrived and we boarded it.

Mins later, we arrived home and we went in.

I didn’t bother taking the spare key from our neighbor cause I’m home with Cody and Caden and they only need the spare key when I’m not around.

I took them up to their room and bathed them.

I dressed them up in shorts and singlet and made them wear their flip flops.

They always wear the same thing, they’re twins after all.

I made Cody sit on the couch downstairs, while I went to get the first aid kit.

I came down with it and tended to Cody’s bruise.

I put a cartoon plaster on his bruise and kept the first aid kit back where I got it.

“Are you going back to the resto? ” Caden asked and my eyes popped out.

Gosh! I left Bryan at the resto with the customers.

“Can we come with you? ” Cody asked.

They already know the answer to that which is no!

“Please” they both chorused with puppy eyes.

“No, you both stay home, take a nap or watch TV as usual ” I told them.

“No please! ” I told them just before they could chorus it as always.

“No coming out from the house as usual, I’ve got a Cam at the doorstep and if anyone disobeys me, you both know how crazy I can get ” I told them.

“Off to the resto now, love you both ” I blew them k-sses and walked out, slamming the door behind me.

I went to Mrs Morg-n and asked her to please check up on my babies time to time.

I boarded a bus and headed to the resto.

I’m for real sure that Bryan has turned my resto into another thing and chase away my customers.

I got to the resto, went in and my jaw dropped at the sight in front of me.

“Hey! You’re back ” Bryan said but I was still shocked with a dropped jaw.

“Uhh.. You’d like to close your mouth ” Bryan said and I closed my mouth and swallowed up the saliva.

“Surprised, right? ” he asked and I nodded.

There were customers, eating and everywhere was neat and that’s what got me so shocked.

Like how can a dude, not just any dude but Bryan be so……so cool?

“Stop standing there like a statue now and come help me ” he told me and I went over to the credenza.

He pulled out the cash drawer and I smiled when I saw the money he had made.

The customers were so many today thanks to Bryan.

“Wow, how did you do it? I just left hours ago and you’ve just sold this much? ” I asked him and he chuckled.

“Well I stood at the door with a menu and whistled at passer bys to come taste the delicious food in here” he said.

I don’t think I need a sales girl if I’ve got Bryan.

I think I should just employ him since he’s just a kid too anyway.

“You did a good job, so what would you say if I employ you? ” I asked him and he smirked.

“Ain’t begging bruh, you in for it or not? ” I asked with raised brows.

“Sure! I’m in for it ” he replied.

“So uhm, Imma make a calculation and know how much I can pay ya every week or month? ” I asked.

“Week” he replied.

“Alright, you’ll start next week and through out this week you’re under observation so no payment ” I told him.

“What the f*ck? Who the hell does that? ” he asked.

“Me! ” I told him with a stern look.

“You’re impossible ” he cussed.

“I get that every time, now get to work ” I told him.

“There are no customers ” he said.

“Yeah and that’s why you should go to the door and do what you did to get these customers”

“Ugh.. Fine! “he sighed and went to get the customers.

I chuckled and sat down, I’ll take orders while he gets customers.

Twas 20:31 and we were already closing up.

“We could earn more money if we stayed and sold more food ” Bryan said as we packed up.

“I know but no”

“Why? ” He asked and I threw him a glare.

“Ugh.. If you don’t wanna stay any longer, I could stay and sell for ya” he suggested.

“Nice of you but no! ” I snapped at him.

“Not another word ” I told him before he could blurt out anything else.

“You’re so impossible ” he said but I just ignored him.

I packed up the left overs and gave some to Bryan.

“Thank you bish ” he said.

We went out, took the bus and headed home.

Bryan got down from the bus before me and mins later, I arrived home.

My door was as I left it, slammed like there was no one at home.

I got to the door and turned the knob to open it but it was locked.

WTF! Did these kids go out?!

I brought out my keys and tried opening it but it was locked from the in,side.

Seriously?

“Open up! ” I knocked on the door.

Moments later the door was opened and Cody jumped in my arms.

I carried him in and slammed the door behind us.

I dropped him and carried Caden up then dropped him later on.

“OK so why did you guys lock the door from in,side? ” I asked, looking at both of them.

“Well, we don’t want anyone barging into our house” Caden replied.

“Uhh… That’s true and smart of you guys ” I complimented them.

“So did anyone disobey me?” I asked and they nodded no.

“We’ll see about that ” I said and went to get my laptop.

The camera is connected to my laptop and though I knew very well that they didn’t disobey me cause they never lie, I still wanted to make sure of it.

They sat beside me as I played the video.

No one went out, no visitors, they didn’t even open the door.

Awww, how cute!

I dropped my laptop and opened my arms wide for them to come in.

They both hugged me and k-ssed them each.

“How sweet of you angels” I told them and they chuckled.

So, Imma go freshen up so we can eat and you both can go to bed.

I left them in the sitting room and I took my laptop up to my room.

I got into the shower and tidied up.

I put on my pajamas and took Cody and Caden up to wear them theirs.

We were done dressing up in our pajamas so we all went downstairs.

They sat in the dinning while I microwaved the food.

I was done so I brought the food to the dinning and served them.

We finished eating, I tidied up their mouths and took them upstairs to their room.

They’re just 4! They’re still babies hehehe and they still speak that baby language while talking.

They even call sandwich chenwich hehehe but they’re super smart thanks to me.

After putting them to sleep, I came back downstairs to count the money.

After minutes of calculating, I was done.

I went to keep the money in my drawer and went to check up on em.

They shut their eyes tight when they saw me enter their room and I smiled.

I switched on the lights and walked over to their bed.

“C’mon guys, I know you both aren’t sleeping so cut it ” I told them.

They opened their eyes and sat up.

“You both want me to read a bedtime story? ” I asked and they nodded yes.

“Aiit Caden join Cody on his bed ”

Caden went to Cody’s bed and I sat beside him while they laid down.

“Lemme fetch a story book” I said and went to the small book shelf in their room.

A small library for my two lil angels.

I took a story book and came back to sit beside them.

I opened the book and read it out to them in a cool soft voice.

After some minutes, they were off to dream land.

I kept the book where I got it from and carried Caden over to his bed.

I k-ssed them goodnight, turned off the lights and exited their room.

I went to my room and plumped down on my bed.

Another day is gon start tomorrow.

I yawned and slept off.

…………………..

“Aaahhhhhhhhh! ” I heard and jerked up on my bed.

What the hell?

I was drifting back to sleep when it hit me that I’ve got two little kids in the house and the scre-m seemed like it came from their room.

OMG! I got outta bed and ran to their room.
