CHAPTER 63 AND 64…

❣️She sat near her window staring at the outside world while she was stuck here in her home. She cleaned the tears that dropped from her eyes. Then she heard the door unlocking. But she didn’t turn to see who it was.

Her dad walked in and touch her on the shoulder. But she wiggled her shoulder to remove his hand. He sighed.

“Kira….”He called out softly

“I want my phone dad” she said instead and wiped her tears.

“Am afraid I won’t give you your phone back” he said and sat down near her.

“But… Why??” She looked at her dad. Why was he doing this?

“It’s not going to be for a long time. It’s just till you get engaged.” He said and joined her to look outside.

” I want to talk to my friends”

“That’s why you won’t receive your phone. I don’t want you to scheme ways of stop this with them. Till after your engagement Kira” he said getting up.

” Dad… Why are you doing this? I promise to get married no matter what” Kira tried pleading.

” Am not going to change my mind Kira. ” He said instead.

” Dad.. ” she yelled. But he ignored her and went towards the door.
“What about school?” She asked and he stopped.

“Don’t worry. I have that covered to. Someone will impersonate you for the time you will be aware. So your attendance in school won’t be affected. And your exams too” he said .

“and and one more thing,we will be leaving the country soon to meet your husband to be family. Engagement party willl take place by December as it’s a festive period. Prepare yourself young lady” and he left the room..

*********A FEW WEEKS AFTER********
……★DECEMBER ★……
“Hurry up Kira or we’ll miss the flight” her mom shouted as she went down with her luggage. Her dad had already left with a few guards to the airport to fix everything for their flight and Kira and her mom were to arrive later on.

But right now, that was like an hour ago, they were running late.

“On my way” she carried her thickest coat and left. They were heading to Spain. And right now, it’s was winter season. And everywhere was going to be seriously cold.

Here in America,the season came o Abit late though.

Hurrying to the car with her luggage which the driver took and fixed into the car.

Entering the car, she sat at the back seat with her mom but faced the window. She felt hurt deep in,side. She was going to marry someone else against her wish. Someone she didn’t know not love. How could her dad do this to her?

Well , she had no other option, she was going to face everything bravely. Who knows maybe she can talk to her husband to be and if he agrees, they can divorce after marriage. Yes.. that was the only way out.

After 7hours of flight, they finally landed in Spain. It was already night time anyway. They lodged in a hotel and her father announced that tomorrow, they would be going to meet him.

Kira had trouble sleeping all night, she was waiting for the dreaded daylight to come.

…… MORNING…….
SHE stirred till the curtains were opened and the sun shine bright on her face.
She covered her face with her arm and gr–ned.

“You better wake up before your father’s gets here.” She heard her mom’s voice and gr–ned louder. It was the D-day.

” Your water is ready and I and your dad are waiting for you in the hotel lounge. Be there in thirty minutes Kira” her mom said and left. She got down from the bed with a frown. A big one. She walked to the dressing mirror and looked at herself.

She could drool on her face and her hair was like a bird nest.

“I pity the guy who’s gonna marry me” Kira said to herself with a chuckle. Imagine her husband waking up and seeing his wife that looks like a witch. An ugly one for that matter.

With a smile, she walked into the bathroom.

After a quick shower, she came out to find a dress already placed properly on her bed. It was pink.

Blah…..

Kira’s worst color. She was going to look girly in it and that’s one look she hates.. she was certain it was her dad that had picked the color. Afterall her mom knew she didn’t like pink and would certainly not pick it. Her dad was just getting on her nerves…. REALLY!!

SHE grabbed the dress and examined it before putting it on. God, she looked like Cinderella. Only that her gown was pink not blue and she didn’t wear a tiara and of course, her gown was very much fitted. It hugged her body very much. She looked cute and hot at the same time.

Putting on her makeup lightly, she went out to meet her dad. Other people that lodged in the hotel stared at her as she passed. It was so embarrassing. They were looking too much at her but that didn’t stop Kira from keeping her head up high.

Finally, she reached the lounge and her dad smiled and came to hug her.

“You look beautiful angel” her dad said as he held her cheeks. Kira smiled but the smile faded when he mentioned him. “Am sure your husband won’t take his eyes off you the moment he meets you” her dad and said and Kira nodded alittle then forced a smile.

” Let’s go”

Finally they arrived at a huge mansion. It was bigger than their home though and it looked like a palace.

‘how boring” Kira said to herself.

Why did they have to make their house looked those palace in a fairytale. Sighing, she watched as the big black gates were opened for their car to drive it.

Kira remembered Anna and Mira. She was missing them so badly but what can she do? Her dad wasn’t joking when he said she won’t be able to contact them again till further notice. He had been cruel on that part.

Gosh, her girls don’t even know what is going on with her. She needed them now more than ever to comfort her and be with her. But… Unfortunately, that’s impossible. She was probably 3000miles or more away from America.

The car halted and they all got down. A Butler came and introduced his name as Moses and told them to follow him into the mansion as the family has been waiting for them.

They all entered the mansion and Kira was greeted by unfamiliar faces . She couldn’t recognize them at all.. she thought her dad would get her some one she knew but she was wrong.

“Oh Mr Reinhart, your here . Am so happy to see you” the man who Kira guessed to be the father hugged her dad while her mom hugged the woman whom must be the mother. Kira jsyt stood rooted to the ground.

“The pleasure is all mine Mr Howard. I apologise for our lateness” her dad said after breaking the hug.

” Oh no. Your not late. In fact,your just in time. Welcome. ” Mr Howard said and her dad smiled.

” Good day to you Mrs Howard” Kira’s dad greeted me Howard wife and she nodded with a smile.

Kira’s eye examined everywhere. The house was extremely big on the in,side than it looked on the outside.

Kira was already carried away with examining the house that she didn’t know when her name was brought up.

“Ahh. My future daughter in law. Come closer darling” Mrs Howard said with smiles and Kira came closer to her.

The old lady touched her face and smiled before hugging her. Everything felt awkward to Kira. She has never hugged any elderly woman except her mom and Mira’s mom.

“You have seen your daughter in-law. May I please see my son in-law now?” Kira’s dad said with a laugh and everyone else except Kira laughed and Mr Howard sent the butler to call their son when he showed up at the top of the stairs.

“Am here already” his deep voice could be heard.

“Ah yes … The man of the hour” his father exclaimed and he came into view properly coming down the stairs.

Yep, he looked exactly like his picture. He was tall and handsome and all but Kira wasn’t interested in him. In fact she found him boring to stair at.

But apart from that,she felt like she knew him from somewhere but where?.

After all the pleasantries, their parents had chased them away so that they could get to know each other. Kira rolled her eyes when they said that.

Now she was in the garden alone with him and he has been trying to bring up a conversation with Kira but Kira just answer with lack of interest. He told her that he’s name is Tristan Howard and asked of hers but she didn’t tell him. She wanted him to give up and tell his father that this won’t work out but he was so persistent.

” Won’t you just tell me more about yourself?” He pleaded again.

“That’s it” Kira said in her mind. She was tired of his endless questions. Can’t he clearly see that she not interested in him.

“That’s enough.. this ain’t going to work between us. Lets just call of the Marriage” Kira bargain.

” But why?” He asked innocently

“Why? Because we don’t love each of course. I can’t stand to look at your face now and certainly not for ever” Kira said.

” Neither can I” Kira’s mouth dropped when she heard this. ” But that doesn’t mean I will call off the wedding” he added.

” Ah I see. You must be afraid of disappointing our parents. Let’s strike a deal then. After the 3 months of the marriage,we apply for a divorce. That way we won’t disappoint our parents and we will go out separate ways. We will just tell them that it didn’t work out. What do you say?? Are you in or not?”
Kira asked and looked at him keenly waiting for his reply.

“No” he eventually said after moments of reply.
