CHAPTER 65…. 🤑

“no” he eventually replied after moments of silence.

“What?.. why?..”. Kira asked surprised that he refused her request immediately.

Tristan smiled and turn around backing her.

“Because that’s my choice ” his voice sounded soft but the smirk on his face was saying others. He didn’t want Kira to see his face.

He can’t cut off the marriage especially when he knows that it will be quite beneficial to him and his family.

And thankfully, Kira didn’t recognize him. Yep, that’s right. He knew Kira but Kira didn’t know who he was. And that was just luck on his side because if she did, then she will definitely refuse getting married to him and that’s something he didn’t want to happen.

“Well am sorry I can’t marry you” Kira said since he didn’t want to tell her his reason for going with the marriage.

Kira was about walking out when Tristan turned and held her hand swiftly. He pulled her to himself and looked straight into her eyes.

“You will go ahead with this marriage whether you like it or not” he threatened.

From the top of the mansion, Mr Howard and Kira’s dad stood discussing. They saw the way Tristan held Kira in his arms. Kira’s dad heart rejoiced. He thought maybe his daughter was gradually liking Tristan but Mr Howard knew that wasn’t the case. But he smiled nevertheless. Kira’s dad mustn’t find out what was really going on there.

“They’re already falling in love” Mrs Howard said as she and Kira’s mom walked towards their husbands.

“Yes they are” Mr Howard replied with a smile

“What did she say?” Mr Howard asked his son. They went to his study room the moment Kira’s family had gone.

“She doesn’t want the marriage. She wants us to divorce after the wedding” his son said and he chuckled.

” And you agreed? ” His dad asked.

“Of course not. Even though she begged me to” Tristan replied immediately.

” Good. I wouldn’t want anything to destroy our plan. I worked so hærd to convince Mr Reinhart that you’ll be the perfect husband for his daughter. Don’t do anything that will make him change his mind” his Dad warned and he nodded with a smile.

He wouldn’t be so stupid to do anything that will make him and his family lose this big deal. Afterall, he would be benefitting from it.

She took off her dress and immediately got into her joggers. Today didn’t go as planned. The guy refused her deal without any hesitation.

This angered Kira very much. She was hoping that things will go according to her plan. But nope, she was wrong. Now, she needed a walk to clear her mind. She wore a jacket to protect her from the cold and Putting her headphone around her neck, She walked out of the hotel room.

She passed the lounge where her mom and dad were having a drink and told them she was going out for a stroll.

“Take a guard with you” her dad suggested.

“No dad. I’ll be fine.. am not going far. ” Kira said.

” But.. ”

” Please” she pleaded and her dad sighed. She needed to clear her head alone.

Putting her headphones around her head, she went out and turned on the music to her favorite song by black pink title pink venom.

Humming the song to herself, she walked down the street. She stuck her he’d in her pocket cause they were freezing. She ignored all the stares she was getting and jsut moved on that she forgot to lay landmarks that will help her back home.

A commotion could be heard behind Kira but Kira’s ears were blocked to hear it. She was passing a dark alley when someone pushed her to the ground with force. She tumbled to the floor and was partly in the alley and partly on the street.

Her legs had already twisted from the fall but Kira wasn’t aware yet. She tried standing but the sharp pain vibrated throughout her body. She was about to s¢ræm out of pain when a masculine hand covered her mouth and drawed her deeper into the alley

CHAPTER 66…. ❣️

Kira’s eyes w¡dened in fear as she was pulled deeper into the alley. Then everywhere went silent and still including Kira.

She saw some men run pass the alley like as if they were chasing someone or something.

As soon as they were done passing. Kira realized that the person who held her mouth grip has soften and she quickly grabbed the opportunity and bite him in the hand.

“Urgggggh” he gr–ned in pain. Kira quickly crawled away from him quickly since her legs won’t let her run.

“What the heck is wrong with you?” He yelled in pain and Kira laughed. Even though she couldn’t see his face properly, it was funny the way he voice sounded. Like a man baby about to cry.

Then she paused. That voice. She had heard that voice somewhere. That one voice she could never forget . She had thought about that voice for a long and she heard searched for him for months to no avail. Now he was right in front of her. Kira wished that there was some light in here to help her see properly.

Just then her prayers were answered. The street light came on.

“Arggg… My eyes” he gr–ned when the street light shone directly on his face. The lights also blinded Kira but it was for a while before she was able to see properly.

Her mouth opened when she saw him. Yep, he was the one . That one that she couldn’t get out of her mind.

Finally, his eyes cleared and he looked at her and his mouth dropped.

“You!!” He exclaimed. Kira was surprised he could still recognize her.

“Wait, you remember me?” She asked to be sure.

” Why won’t i? They lady who thought I was a kidnapper” he said and got up dusting his cloth. Then he looked at his hand that she bit.

“Seems like she’s also loves biting people” he glared at her and was heading to the street to leave.

” Wait.. don’t go…. I can’t…” She tried to get back but fell back to the floor cause of her ankle that was in twist. “Walk” Kira finally completed her statement.

He rushed back to help her .

“What’s happened?” He asked with a hint of concern and care in his voice.

‘why does he sound caring? ‘ Kira asked herself confused.

“My ankle. It’s hurts” she said and squeeze her eyes shut when she tried to move the leg.

“Let me help you” he offered and she yanked his hand away. “What now?!” He asked stunned.

“Why are you offering to help me now? If i hadn’t yelled in pain,you would have left me here helpless” she said and eyed him before hissing.

” What? How would I have known that you were hurt?” He defended but Kira just scoffed.

“Who sees a lady on the floor and just leaves her there. Huh??…tell me ?!! ” Kira asked upset.

” Lady?!! Ha…your not a lady. Your just a spoilt brat you doesn’t know how to ask for help” he snapped back at her. Kira gasped . No one has ever called her a spoilt brat before. Who does he think he is?!!

“Even if you asked I won’t help you. You just caused me pains by biting me just a few moments ago” he glared at her before leaving.

” Hey. Where are you going? Get back here and help me”she yelled but he kept on walking away till she couldn’t see him again.

” Please” she whispered close to tears. She couldn’t believe he actually left.

Kira was thinking of ways to get up and get out of the alley when she saw his silhouette walking back to the alley.

“Your just lucky I have a good heart” he said and Kira scoffed before he carried her in his arms bridal style.

“Won’t you say thank you?” He asked but Kira didn’t even hear what he was saying. She was just examining his features. He looked more matured that the last time she saw him.

‘and more handsome’ Kira said in her mind till she realized what she said. Her eyes w¡dened. They were in the street already. Was he going to carry her like that till she got home?

“Quit staring” he snapped at her and Kira glared at him.

“It’s not like your worth staring at” she rolled her eyes.

” Stay still” he said as he dropped her gently on the sofa while he went to lock the door.

“Why are you locking the door?” Kira asked surprised but he ignored her.

” Hey.. am talking to you” Kira yelled a little but he still ignored her and went into the room. Kira used the time being to examine the room. It was just plain. No pictures, the walls were plain white and the sitting room only had 2 sofas and a center table.

“What sort of a home is this?” Kira blurted out loud unknowingly.

” My kind of a home” he replied coming to her . He held something in a little container.

“Am sorry.. I didn’t mean….”

“Keep it” he stopped her immediately. He wasn’t smiling anymore. He looked annoyed or upset.

She didn’t mean to make him angry.

“What’s that?” Kira decided to ask after a few moments of silence.

“Balm. For your leg” he responded curtly. While he focused to open it.

Accomplishing that,he drew the center table closer and sat on it then set Kira twisted ankle on his laps. Them he used his hand to examine the area.

Kira bit her l-ips hærd when he touched her legs. His hand was cold but it wasn’t cold when he lifted her up. Rather she was warm in his arms. A warmth that she hasn’t experience before.

She jerked back a little when he pressed h-rder on the ankle part.

“Sorry” he said and looked at her and Kira nodded still biting her l-ips.
“Am going to twist the leg back to it’s normal position, are you ready?” He asked as he applied some balm on his hand.

“No. It’s gonna hurt” Kira whimpered. She wasn’t ready for the pain just yet.

“I know but that’s the only way” he said trying to sound confusing.

” You sure?”

“Yes”

“Okay” was all Kira could say even though she still wasn’t ready for the pain.

“Okay.. on the count of …1….2…..” He paused in his counting. That was because Kira eyes were shut so tight…and she was also biting down on her l-ips so hærd that he feared they’ll bleed.

“Stop that” he told her. Kira opened her eyes and stared at him.

“Stop what?”

“Hurting yourself”

“How am I hurting myself?” She asked and tilted her head a little.

“By biting your l-ips,you can make them bleed. Why do you want to destroy such perfect…….l-ips” his voice trailed off as soon as he realized that he called Kira’s l-ips perfect.

Kira was speechless for a while. When she finally found her voice…

“3….” He said his last count and twisted the ankle to it’s right shape.

“Ahhhh…you wicked soul” she yelled . He felt sorry for her. He didn’t mean to do it but he wanted her to forget that he called her l-ips “perfect” …he was just avoiding awkward moments.

“It’s back to shape now.” He said trying to console her but tears drop left her eyes as she sobbed quietly.

He sighed and moved closer to her before using his back hand to wipe her tears

“Her phone isn’t going through” Kira’s mom said with worries.

” Am sure she would be here soon ma’am. Calm down” the receptionist said.

” Shut up” Kira’s mom snapped back at her.

“My daughter is out there in a city she doesn’t know and you want me to calm down?” She yelled..

It’s been 2 hours and Kira wasn’t back yet. They were already scared that she must have lost her way. They sent guard to search for her. Soon enough,only the moon would be seen in the sky and it would be difficult to find their daughter.

” Please keep your voice low. Your not the only one here. Besides who sends their child out without protection?” A hotel guest said eying Mrs Reinhart.
” Such a mother you are!!” She rolled her eyes too.

“How dare you talk to my wife like that?” Mr Reinhart yelled at the woman who just insulted his wife.

” Oh…you must be the unfortunate husband of this careless woman. Tsk tsk…. Such a pity” the woman said and wore her shades and was walking away. Mr Reinhart was attack the lady when he heard her voice

“Dad” Kira soft voice called out
