CHAPTER 90.. ❣️

Kira was visibly shaking after hearing what the doctor said. She couldn’t believe her ears. The news was too much to bear.

“Ectopic…. Preg… Pregnancy?” Kira stammered as tears filled her eyes.

“Yes… I believe you know what it means. Your baby is not growing in your womb but outside your womb. This is quite dangerous… Am afraid, you have to abort the child …. ”

“What are you saying? ” Kira yelled interrupting the doctor.

” Am sorry but that’s the only option. You will lose your life if you don’t” the doctor said softly and Kira got up immediately.

“How can you say that??… Am not aborting this child … Do you get that? ” Kira grabbed her bag and walked out with tears pouring from her eyes.

Her sight was already blurry with tears that she couldn’t see where she was going properly but she didn’t stop walking till she bumped into somebody.

The person caught her before she could fall . She blinked and the tears in her eyes fell making her see properly. She looked at the person who caught her. It was Liam.

“Kira, your crying” he said helping her stand properly and wiped her tears.

Kira could feel more tears pouring from her eyes at his question.

“What Happened?” He asked concerned but she kept on crying.

“Am sorry” she muttered as she hugged him tightly.

Dylan became confused at why she was apologizing all of a sudden.

“Tell me what Happened. Is it about Mira? She’ll be fine stop crying ” he said trying to comfort her as she continued crying.

Anna quickly grabbed her bags and walked out angrily . She just heard the news about Damien being Mira’s kidnapper and she lost her sense of reasoning that moment.

How could Damien do that and why? ..

Nothing made sense to her. But she didn’t care anyway. She had already planned to confront him about it.

She soon arrived at his penthouse and met him Making a phone call so he didn’t notice her presence yet as he was standing and backing her

As soon as the call ended , Anna walked up to him and turned him roughly to face her .

He looked at her surprised to see her there.

But all Anna felt was anger that she didn’t know when her hand collided with his cheek.

His eyes w¡dened

He couldn’t control himself, he held her neck and pushed her to the wall angrily.

Anna was suffocating but acted like as if it wasn’t affecting her.

“How dare you hit me?? Who do you think you are?” He yelled at her and she smirk despite barely breathing.

“So you think just because your older than me that you can just do anything you want and I’ll sit quiet and watch you? ” She asked and his gripped tighten on her neck.

” Let go of me Damien… Am … Barely breathing….. Gosh…” She finally pleaded tapping his hand.

He smirked before releasing.

“So now you beg.. why did you hit me?” He asked immediately even though he knew the answer.

” Why did you kidnap her ? You guys were getting along. You were friends already… So why? ” Anna asked coughing.

” If that’s what you came to ask,then I suggest you leave” he said walking away from her and heading for his room.

“I give you twenty hours to release her Damien” Anna spoke up immediately and he froze.

“Or else? ”

” Or else, I’ll involve the cops” she threatened and he laughed

” Good night lil sis. Your threats won’t work” he said after laughing and entered his room.

Anna gritted her teeth in anger before stomping out.

Her phone beeped and she checked it to see a message.

:We need to talk. It’s urgent Anna…

Anna hissed loudly after reading the message before ignoring it.

Mira finally opened her eyes hearing murmurs from outside the door.

She was weak and hungry. She stared at the plate of food at the corner of the room. They had offered her food but she has been refusing to eat for the past two days. She looked lean already and tired.

But she was too stubborn to accept the food. What if it was poisoned by her kidnapper who she doesn’t know yet?

“Yes boss. She has refused to eat . She is quite stubborn” a female voice could be heard and soon the door opened.

Mira sat up immediately looking at the man in overall walked to her. She could tell he was a man cause of his walking step. He was the same person who came to her two days ago. She hasn’t seen him after that. It’s like he forgot that he had her as a hostage.

“Who are…you?” Mira asked but he ignored her question and went to grab the plate of food at the corner.

He came closer to her and squatted in front of her.

“Am not hungry. Take that thing away from me” Mira immediately said and looked away.

“You must eat..if not!!” His deep voice threatens and Mira found herself gulping at his words. He sounded scary and familiar at the same time.

She badly wanted to see his face. She was curious on who is was and why he was keeping her here.

She would have tried to escape but the room has no windows just fans and AC. And none of her tricks were walking on the guards outside too.

The masked man grabbed the spoon scooped the food and brought it to her mouth.

Mira refused to accept it. She turned her face away .

“Eat it” he said softly but she ignored him.

“I said eat it” he yelled now which frightened Mira and she ate the food.

He kept on feeding her till everything finished. He offered her water and was just about to leave when Mira pulled him back and swiftly took off his mask.

Her eyes w¡dened at who she saw.

CHAPTER 91 💜

He eyes w¡dened at who she saw. It was Damien.

She couldn’t believe that he was her kidnapper along. He was more than shocked at the fact. She trusted him and he kidnapped her.

“Mira I…” Before he could finish his statement, Mira slapped him and got up.

“How could you do this to me? I trusted you. Your the least person on Earth I expected to kidnap me” she yelled .

” Mira calm down and listen to me” Damien said getting up. He tried to touch her but she moved away.

“Don’t touch me. Tell me , why? Why did you do this?” She asked but he didn’t say anything. Rather he just stared at her.

” Am talking to you. Tell me why?” She yelled getting grip of his collar.

” I couldn’t just stand and watch you accept Ezekiel and marry him Mira, I couldn’t” he yelled back yanking her hand off his shirt.

” Huh? What do you mean by that? How did you know that am going to get married to him?” She asked suddenly confused but he didn’t answer her questions.

“I love you Mira and I can’t let you marry my brother” he said calmly while Mira looked at him surprised before getting a hold of herself.

“Is this what you call love? You literally kidnapped me. To prove what exactly? Do you think I’ll accept you if you did this? ” She asked.

” Stop” he suddenly yelled.

” I won’t stop Damien. I love Kiel and I’ll get married to him and no one can stop me, do you get that? ”

” I said stop” he yelled even louder covering his ears.

” Kiel … Kiel… Kiel….” He suddenly grabbed Mira and pushed her to the wall before blocking her with his body. ” It’s always him. Is it because he’s older? What do y’all see in him? I don’t care if you love him, I’ll never let you two be together” he warned and Mira gulped.

” You can’t… Force me to be with you. Besides, I met him first” Mira whispered.

” I also met Isabella first. But what Happened?….she chose him instead of me” Damien revealed and released Mira who was looking confused .

“Isabella….?” She asked and he looked away. “Do you mean his late wife? ” She asked. Damien was still before nodding.

” I…. I don’t understand. What do you mean she chose Kiel over you? ” She asked hoping he would explained.

He sighed before facing her slightly.

“Isabella and I were school mates. We attended the same high school. That’s where we met and became friends. We also attended the same college. She liked me all those while and I guess I liked her too. She wanted us to be a relationsh¡p but I wasn’t ready for commitment” he paused taking a seat and Mira did the same. She wanted to understand everything.

“Then I introduced her to my family and right under my nose, she secretly became Kiel girlfriend. None of them told me. I was in the dark till Ezekiel proposed to her and announced their Wedding date. I was beyond shock. I really liked her. I told her to call it off. I was ready to be with her but she didn’t listen”

” She said i had missed my chance of being with her. She told me to forget her ..since I wasn’t ready for commitment she found some one who was ready. I allowed them . Then a few weeks late, she told us she’s pregnant. I was still trying to get over the shock of her marriage and then she drops pregnancy. I couldn’t take it anymore so I left the country. Even after her death, I couldn’t bring myself to come back till now”

” She chose Kiel over me and your about to do the same too”he concluded getting up.

” I won’t ever allow that Mira no matter what you say” he started walking towards the door but Mira rushed and held his hand.

“Wait… Listen to me”

“No you listen to me. I won’t change my mind about this and until you decide not to marry him well… You are going to remain here” he pushed her away slightly before rushing to the door. He opened it and close it immediately before Mira could get to it.

“Wait Damien. Don’t do this. Open this door” she yelled banging the door hærd but her yells fell on deaf ears.

“Don’t open this door for anyone” he announced before leaving while others were looking surprised to see him without his mask on.

“Damien!!”

Damien was in deep thoughts as he drove back to his penthouse.

“Am I doing the right thing?” He asked himself out loud as he was the only one in the car.

“I don’t care” he scoffed after much thought before getting down from the car.

He walked in and was shocked to see Mira’s mom standing in the sitting room and waiting impatiently

“How did you get in,side?” He asked surprised. He just unlocked the door himself so how did she get in?

“That doesn’t matter. I need to talk to you…. Damien.. I know your my daughter kidnapper” she said and his eyes w¡dened.

” How do you know that? ”

” I overheard when Anna said it. Have a seat , let’s talk” she said calmly

He stared at the ceiling while recalling everything he and Mira’s mom had discussed.

Maybe he wasn’t doing the right thing afterall. She just made him realize that.

*You can’t force my daughter to leave who she’s loves*

*If she loves you, she’ll come for you*

*Please give me back my daughter*

Her words kept repeating itself in his mind. He finally got up and walked to the mirror looking at himself.

His phone suddenly ranged and he picked it up without looking at the caller.

“I’ll do it. Just release Mira”

★★NEXT MORNING★★

She heard the door creaking open. She immediately got up , waiting for the worst to happen but rather someone else walked in.

“Boss has released you. Let’s go” he just said and walked out.

Mira was confused and it took her some time to understand what he said before she got up following him to the car.

“Where are you taking me to?” She asked

“Your apartment”

“No. Drive me to the Lockharts mansion” Mira requested instead. She needed to see Ezekiel and ask him everything first . Plus she missed him badly.

“I wonder what we’ll do about Damien” she muttered to herself.

Soon they arrived at the mansion and she rushed in immediately.

The mansion was slightly empty . She had to search for him. She found him in the garden.

“Ezekiel” she called out softly and ran to him

Kiel was more than happy to see her but remembering his bargain, he stopped her from hugging him

“What’s wrong?”

Rather than answering, he grabbed her right hand and attempted taking off the ring.

“What are you doing?” Mira asked withdrawing her hand from his.

“Am cancelling the engagement”
