Bella’s POV

“Today marks 3 years that’s she’s gone now.” I heard that familiar voice said near me.

Standing upright to look for the person who owns that same voice.

Unknown to me that someone was actually standing in front of me, I bumped my head into the person making both of us give this sound of pain.

That same tone came out of her mouth making me forget the pain coming from my head.

“You….” I said surprised and shocked while pointing at her.

“Good afternoon ma’am.” She greeted bowing making me realize that am a new form and shape of someone else.

Goodness, damn this stupid brain of mine. I thought face palming myself internally.

“I can’t believe such a person like you could know me, can I get a autograph? “She asked getting all excited.

Common girl friend, it’s me Alicia don’t be like this. I scre-med loudly in my mind.

Only if I could scre-m it out for her to hear, I thought staring at my friend getting excited because of my autograph.

“Who wouldn’t know the famous Reporter?” I asked and she smiled giving me her identity card to sign on it.

” Mom am hungry.” Desmond said making me drop my eyes down to his level.

“Mom is coming, don’t be at rush.” I said before signing the autograph.

“Wow, your son looks like Kyle Adams in New York City. I mean that famous, single and devilish business man in New York City. “She said.

My mind quickly went to him as she said those words.

“My dad isn’t devilish, mom tell her.” Desmond said giving my friend a dirty eye.

” That’s not his dad, they only look alike but they aren’t from the same place. “I said.

” Oh, thanks ma’am. “She said collecting the identity card from me before walking off.

Taking hold of Desmond hand, I make my way to the VIP section.

That place is secured with a glass door which you can’t see who is in it until you enter but you can see who is coming from in,side.

After settling, the waitress came for order and we gave out different choice but my son made sure we have two or three things in common with his.

We started chatting between ourselves although, my mind was still on her (my bestie that I just met not long.

When the food came, we eat silently without saying a word to each. Letting our minds wander around.

What a small world, my friend turn out to be a news reporter instead of the dream we were both chasing before.

Although, I don’t listen to news aside if it’s about where I deal my business. Most especially, I don’t listen to news that comes from that place.

Why? Cause I don’t want to see or read new concerning them.

If not for her identity card that I owe in some hours ago, I wouldn’t know how to get out of the mess I created…

Episode 57

Bella’s POV

Although, I don’t listen to news aside if it’s about where I deal my business. Most especially, I don’t listen to news that comes from that place.

Why? Cause I don’t want to see or read new concerning them.

If not for her identity card that I owe in some hours ago, I wouldn’t know how to get out of the mess I created.

By creating the awareness of knowing her when she haven’t even been able to see me physically before.

I had to check her identity card for her job even though I know her name.

Once we were done eating, I used my card to pay then check out of the restaurant.

Asking my son where else he wants to go to, he chose the mall saying he has two things to pick up there.

Even I myself am already doubting my son’s skills cause he just acted like a ten year old boy where as, he is just two.

Getting to the mall of his choice, we both step out of the car then make our way into the mall.

Although, before I entered I have given the security guards something like I always dose once I go out.

Getting to the necklaces section, I son pick out things and I did also.

Although, that not the thing we bought in,side but I wonder why my son decides his own should be in a different place.

I didn’t challenge him, I accepted then pay our bills carrying it, leo place it in the car.

Driving to cold stone, we got ice cream for everyone including the gate man at home. That is, we bought five ice cream.

On our way back home, I restock my house with food and drinks Which aren’t at home again.

Once we get home, I bathe Desmond and myself before coming down to share out what we got for our driver, gateman and leo.

Arranging the dress I got for Desmond and I, my son walk up to me.

“Mom.” He called making me squat to his level.

“Yes honey.” I answered.

“Can you please close your eyes?” He asked making me wonder what’s going on.

” Mom please. “He added begging.

“Okay, fine but don’t do anything funny.” I warned before closing my eyes.

” Okay Mom he replied.

Still with my eyes closed, I waited for some minutes until I felt something cold on my neck.

I jumped up instantly making my son fall on his butt. turning around, I attended to him.

“Dose it hurt? Am sorry.” I said trying to figure out where hurt.

“No Mom, am okay. Just check out yourself infront of the mirror.” He said.

I did as he said and Christ, I was shocked at what am staring at. He got me a necklace with best mom as the pendant.

“Oh my goodness!” I scre-med with one of my hand on my mouth and the other one on my neck keeping myself from crying and my mouth from scre-ming…

“No Mom, am okay. Just check out yourself infront of the mirror.” He said.

I did as he said and Christ, I was shocked at what am staring at. He got me a necklace with best mom as the pendant.

“Oh my goodness!” I scre-med with one of my hand on my mouth and the other one on my neck keeping myself from crying and my mouth from scre-ming.

I can’t believe this,I thought pinching myself in the cheek. No wonder he asked them not to pack it together.

He doesn’t want me to know what he bought for me,he wants it to be a surprise.

God this son is a way nicer than my own sin,why did you give me such a nice sin who only put smile on my face with all my sin,I thought thanking God for giving him to me.

Only if our family is completed,I thought looking very sad but still covered it by the happiness.

Making my way back to my son,I bent down and picked him up. Throwing him up because he love me doing that to him.

He started laughing telling me to drop him while I didn’t answer until he started scre-ming for Leo while laughing.

Putting him down,he hugged me to himself and I did so while k-ssing his head.

“You are everything I wish for,I love you Desmond.” I said still hugging him.

” I love you too mom. “He said placing his head on my neck.

After sometimes, I bring him down only to realize he is already asleep.

I took him to the bed because we both sleep on the same bed then cover him up.

Looking at his face, he is also in my memory, he looks like his father only if he could be gentle that day, we might have something to hold unto forever.

Yes, the moment I sighted him, I fell in love with him even after what he did that night, my heart still beat for him.

Especially when I we met in my father’s house, I couldn’t stop the handsome comment u have him.

More wanted to come out that day also but I have no choice but to cut it off by imagining the pain he made me go through.

So instead of the sweet comment, I gave him a hurtful advice before walking away.

Not to lie, it’s the love I have for him that’s holding me back from telling my dad about the card.

I couldn’t because I was waiting patiently for him to come by and apologize.

Even though he didn’t, I had to jump into the river that day so that I won’t have to tell Dad who he is.

Enough about him lover girl before it g t out of hand, my inner mind warned and I rolled my eyes.

Stepping into the bathroom, I stripped myself then showered again.

With my bath robe on my body, I changed to my nightie in the closet then placed the necklaces my son bought in it’s box putting it on the heart shaped table.

Climbing up on my bed, I prayed and slept off…
