Chapter 58

FREDERICK

“Am I too heavy?”

“Huh? No, Why?”

“Then why are you making such faces.”She said sadly.

” No it is just I am tired.” I said touching our forehead together.

“Let’s sit on the grass and watch sun set.” She said pointing towards the garden in front.

I nodded and started walking towards it.

I made her sit on a bench carefully and sat beside her .

“I also want to know how to play guitar.” She said thinking.

“Come into my arms” I said teasing her while she looked at me with wide eyes.

“I mean so that I can teach you.”

She nodded and turned around in such a way that her back was facing my chest.

She put the guitar on her lap and encircled my arms around her pulling her closer.

We played two or three tunes which got very quickly.

“Hey look at there Such a cutie she is!!”
She squealed pointing in front of us where a baby girl was sitting in her mother’s lap but continuously looking and smiling at Ivy.

“Feddy, I want to hold her.” She pouted.

Just then, the lady came towards us smiling.

“Can you please hold her for a while? I want to call my husband but she is continuously snatching my phone away.” She said and Ivy looked at me shocked.

Look how God fulfills our wishes without us knowing.

Ivy grinned brightly.

“What is her name?”

“Ivy” Her mother said and Ivy again looked at me shocked.

Ivy smiled spreading her arms and little Ivy jumped into her lap.

Her mother smiled and went on side to call.

“Aww!! Look how cute she is feddy. I guess I wasn’t that much cute in my childhood.” She said k-ssing her cheeks.

“Yeah you were not cute but cuter.” I said and smiled genuinely.

” How do you know?”

“I know everything.”
I shrugged.

“Yeah yeah Mr. I am perfect can you please take a picture of us? Ivy and Ivy?”
She said smiling brightly.

“Smile” I said opening camera and that little Ivy too looked towards the camera smiling and I clicked their picture.

“I must say that this little Ivy is also a photofreak like you.”I pinched her tiny nose showing the pictures to Ivy.

We played with little Ivy for some more time and her mother came.

“I can see how familiar she got with you in just a little time. She is likes you alot or else she doesn’t go in everyone’s lap.”
Her mother smiled looking at how little Ivy was hugging Ivy.

“Can you take a picture of us?” Ivy asked that lady and she nodded.

“Come closer” She said glaring at me.

I sighed and put my arms around her shoulders and she put Ivy on her lap k-ssing her and that lady clicked the picture.

” You both are looking so beautiful together. Don’t worry your lap will be filled with a cute baby like you.” She pinched Ivy’s cheek.

“Thank you” Ivy smiled brightly.

I felt a ping in my heart.

After that she took baby Ivy and went away.

“Byeeee!!!”

I shoke my head on Ivy who was still shouting at their back.

“Ivy they have gone” I said.

“Frederick” She said almost laying on me with her back touching my chest.

I hummed playing with her knuckles.

“You know I will love our kids too too too much. I will play with them the wh0le day. I will sing with them. I will buy them lot of teddy bears.” She was saying enthusiastically and I will feeling as if someone was shattering my heart into tiny tiny pieces.

Unknowingly I pulled her more closer and hide my face in the crook of her neck.

She was taken aback but still didn’t pull back.

I wanted to console her to make her peaceful and strong enough to overcome the upcoming storm.

My heart was crying because I was the reason that her dreams will shatter.

Pulling back I blinked my tears away and she smiled car-ssing my cheek with her palm.

I smiled and took her palm in my hand and k-ssed it.

I was about to k-ss her cheek when she turned her head sideways and my l-ips landed directly on her neck.

I pulled back with apologetic look.

She looked at me blankly.

“I am sorry. I was just..” My words died on my l-ips when she leaned closer k-ssing the tip of my nose.

I smiled.

“Let’s go!” She said and I nodded.

The sun had almost set and we started our journey towards her room.

” Come on Frederick, you are stinking man. I am here with Ivy. You can go” Ronald said making faces.

” You and your exaggeration levels.” I said rolling my eyes.

” You can go. Ronald is here with me.” Ivy said smiling.

” Will you be okay?”

“Yeah I will. And yeah also sleep for some hours. Your sleep have been too much disturbed.” She smiled.

“Alright!” I took her hand in mine and brought it to my l-ips.

“O my innocent eyes” Ronald said dramatically.

“Shut up” I and Ivy shouted simultaneously.

We looked at each other and then burst into laughter.

“Take care”

I hugged her one last time and went out.

I didn’t know why I didn’t want to leave.

Something was stopping me but I shrug it off and went towards my car.

After taking a long calming shower I laid on my bed sighing.

” my dearest bed. Did you missed me? I missed you too!” I smiled hugging my pillow.

“Lets call and check on her.” I sat up and dialled Ronald’s number.

📞”Hello Ronald”

📞”Hello Romeo!!”

📞”Where is Ivy? How is She? What is she doing? Did she feel pain again?” I asked rolling my eyes ignoring Ronald’s idiotic compliment.

📞”Woah!! Hold on bro. Yeah she is all okay. The Doctor took her for tests just now.” Ronald said.

📞”Tests?” I sat up with a jolt.

📞” Yes they said they have to do some tests.”

📞”But all her tests have been done this morning. None was left. I also asked the doctor to not do any test in my absence.” I shouted.

📞”Relax may be that was important.”

📞”That is not funny Ronald. Not at all!! All of her tests were done. Where did they take her?”

📞”to the lab”

📞”Go and check there. I am not getting any good vibes from all this. Don’t hang up and go.”

📞” Ronald, what happened?” I asked after hearing a gasp.

📞”Frederick”

📞”Yeah?”

📞”No one is here. The Lab is empty. All the apparatus are scattered here and there.”

📞”What? I am coming.”

I hung up and ran towards the door like a mad man.

My heart was shaking badly.

Chapter 59

Frederick

I and Ronald along with Aaron checked the lab but there was not a sign of any human.

“Damm it” I gro-ned punching table.

” Look here” Ronald shouted looking at the door hidden behind the cupboard.

I fell on my knees.

I know that someone took her away from me.

One week passed by blur.

I was trying my best to find her but still I couldn’t find any clue about her.

“Frederick We have searched wh0le city but still there couldn’t get anything..” Micheal said sadly.

I nodded and went out.

I was somehow lossing hope.

My beard was grown up.

My hair were laying on my forehead messily.

Walking along the pavement I remembered the day when she asked me to take her to beach.

A sad smile made it’s way to my l-ips.

Following that smile a lone tear slipped down my cheek when I realized that it was just a memory.

A beautiful memory with her.

A time when she was near me.

With me..!

I sat on the pavement putting my jacket beside me.

I was looking on the busy road where vehicles were moving like there was no end.

I looked at the sky and my gaze glued there.

“Are you looking? Are you seeing how I look now? How I feel? I dont know but you do know where she is then why don’t you return her to Me? Life have become difficult. This heart cries day and night. No one deserve this kind of punishment. I don’t deserve this!” My voice broke at the end.

I was crying like a kid whose favourite toy had been snatched away.

Night was falling gradually but I was still sitting here talking to the sky.

I was looking here and there blankly when my eyes landed on a boy of almost two to four years who was crying in the middle of road looking here and there.

My eyes landed on the truck coming towards the boy.

Without wasting a moment I ran towards the boy and took him in my arms and at that moment all I cared about was the safety of the boy.

I shoved the boy to his mother’s lap and was about to run aside when the truck hit my arm.

“Ahh!!!” A scre-m left my mouth and I fell on the ground.

The lady quickly hugged her child running towards me.

” Are you okay, sir?”

“I am” I said whincing.

” No you are not. Come with me. My husband is doctor he will treat you. Please” She pleaded and I nodded.

With the help of her driver she made me sit on the backseat while she sat in the passenger seat.

After sometime the car stopped in front of a bungalow.

The gateman came and opened the car door and helped me out.

They then took me to a room.

Later a man, who I guessed his her husband came and bandaged me along with thanking me.

I was sitting leaning on headboard with my eyes closed.

Life is surely unpredictable.

Few hours ago I was roaming in the streets and now I was sitting at someone’s house who I didn’t even know.

I sighed heavily.

Just then, someone knocked on the door and it got opened revealing the lady.

“I brought food for you.” She smiled coming towards me with a tray.

” You shouldn’t have.” I said straightening back.

” My name is Rachel by the way. I can’t thank you enough for saving my son.”

“Its okay”

“Look sir, I don’t know what your problem is or what is bothering you but I want to say that don’t lose hope no matter what. Just be strong. You don’t know how many people are depending on you. If you loose hope then whom will they look upon? I am going. Please eat” she smiled and stood up placing glass of water on the side table.

I was listening to her.

My eyes were glued on the ear ring placed on it.

“Rachel?” I called upon her and she stopped.

” Yes” she turned around facing me.

“Is this your ear ring?” I asked pointing at the ear ring.

I remember that Ivy have the same ear rings.

” No ”

“Last week a man brought a girl who was injured. She was wearing this but forgot it here. So I kept it thinking if she comes then I will return her.”she shrugged.

I jumped.

” What injury did she have? Can you tell me how she looked like?” I asked standing in front of her.

“She was been shot in her stomach. Her hair were brown in colour same as her eyes. She was looking so much pale as if she was too damn sick. And yeah!! She was unconscious all the time.” She said thinking.

“Do you remember what the man said about the girl? Why did they come here?” I asked with hopes.

“The man introduced her as his wife. He said that they were attacked and his wife got shot. My husband treated her wound.”

“Damn!” I sat down shouting in teary voice.

“Sir?” Rachel sat beside me tensed.

“She is my wife. My Ivy. He kidnapped her from the hospital”
I said with tears rolling down my cheeks.

“Oh my…”

“Do your husband know about them? Where they went?”

“Yes! He goes there to check upon her every five days.”

“Great. Please call your husband.” I stood and she too ran out nodding.

I took my phone out and talked to Aaron, Michael and Aaron in a video call and narrated wh0le story.
