IT CAN’T BE HIM
Virgil grabbed Reed’s collar
“Tell me what the f**k happened to her!!” He yelled angrily but then his face softens immediately
“Please” he muttered and let go of Reed’s collar
Terence sighed and run his fingers through his hair
“Lotus somehow lost her consciousness,that’s what I was told” Reed said
“Let me come with you,I want to see her….at least” Virgil said in a pleading voice and Reed frowned
“Come on dude,your sister obviously miss him,he’s been avoiding her calls….” Terence said
“After this,break up with her. My last warning” Reed said and walked out
Virgil swallowed
“What are you waiting for? Follow him” Terence said and Virgil immediately ran after Reed.
Terence checked the time and his eyes widened
“Sh*t I’m late” he grabbed his car key and rushed out of the house.

“Heartbeat” Valentino called Vanessa as she entered the room
Vanessa smiled and ran to hug him,he lifted her up in the process and she clung unto him like a child.
“I missed you” She pouted
“That’s why I returned early” Valentino said and kissed her neck
Vanessa smiled
“I love you” She said
“I love you more” Valentino replied
“You’re not going to leave me right?”
“Why would I?” Valentino asked
“I just….want to know” She replied
Valentino dropped her on the bed and came on top,his two hands placed by her sides
“I’m never going to leave you okay? Never” he said
Vanessa grabbed his shirt and locked their lips
“Do you love my lips that much?” Valentino asked with a smirk
“Alot” Vanessa said and Valentino kissed her again
“I love yours more than you love mine” He said and Vanessa smiled
“So..where did you went to?” She asked and Valentino sat down
“A family dinner” he said and Vanessa nodded
“Actually….it was with Moon’s family” he confessed and Vanessa looked at him
“What?”
“But trust me…I didnt wait until the end of the dinner,coz I couldn’t stop thinking about you and I just couldn’t sit down there when I have a girlfriend. I don’t care about what will happen anymore,I love you not someone else” Valentino said
“I’m scared” Vanessa muttered
Valentino cupped her cheeks
‘Just trust me okay? I will take care of everything” He said and Vanessa nodded
“I trust you” she muttered and Valentino pecked her lips
“You said you have some questions to ask me” Vanessa said after the short kiss
“Do you wanna tell me about your nightmare?” Valentino asked and Vanessa’s face fell
“Please,I’m just worried about you. I don’t want you to be scared,I just….want you to tell me everything,please” Valentino said and Vanessa nodded.
“Go on” Valentino said
“When I was a kid….I think I got lost” Vanessa said
“Think?”
“I haven’t gotten my full memory back” Vanessa said
“Oh” Valentino muttered
“I can remember seeing a man,murdering a lady right in front of me,it was inside a heavy rain. He threatened me never to tell anyone about what I saw,that’s all I remember and strangely,I can’t remember his face either. But his voice….”
“You know his voice?” Valentino asked curiously and Vanessa nodded
“Have you heard the voice anywhere since then?” He asked
“The voice of the murderer we heard” Vanessa said and Valentino’s eyes widened
“Are you trying to say it’s the same man?” He asked
“I’m very sure of that,the voice is exactly the same. He’s the one” Vanessa replied
“Is that why you are scared of thunder and fall sick when it rains?” Valentino asked and Vanessa nodded
“Everything is fine now,I will stay beside you every time,so you don’t have to be scared” Valentino said
Vanessa smiled and hugged him tightly
“I love you Valentine” She mumbled
“I love you more” Valentino said and kissed her hair.

LAKES MANSION
Reed and Virgil rushed into Lotus’s room at a time,the doctor who came to attend to her was just about going out with Mrs Lake
“Where’s Lotus?” Reed asked
“She’s sleeping” Mrs Lakes replied before going out with the Doctor
“Lotus” Reed held Lotus’s hand on the bed
Virgil was standing at the back staring at Lotus
Reed let out a relief sigh
“Gosh,she almost made me go crazy” He muttered
Virgil moved closer too
He held her hand softly and kissed the back,Reed looked at him but he didn’t care.
“I’m sorry for ignoring you,I’m such a fool” Virgil muttered sadly in a regretting tone
Almost immediately,Lotus’s eyes opened
“Baby bear?” She called softly
“I’m here” Virgil said
Reed raised his brows up as he watched them
Lotus sat up and immediately hugged Virgil
“I missed you” She said in tears
“I missed you too” Virgil said,hugging her even tighter
The door burst open and Mrs Lakes came in,she was shocked to see Lotus awake
“What’s going on here?” She asked
Reed sighed and kept quiet
Virgil gently pulled back from the hug
“Lotus,what happened? Are you okay?” Mrs Lakes asked
“Don’t let him go,please” Lotus muttered
“What?” Mrs Lakes turned to Virgil and he looked down
“What’s going on?? Between you and my daughter?” She asked
“Isn’t it obvious that they are dating?” Reed asked and Mrs Lakes eyes widened
“How come I don’t know?” She asked
“I’m sorry ma’am” Virgil said
“I love him mom” Lotus said
“Shut the f**k up!!” Reed yelled at her angrily and Lotus broke into tears
“Reed….”
“Can you please tell her she’s still a kid? She’s sixteen for heaven sake” Reed cut his mom off
“But at least Virgil is someone I know,he’s like a son to me” Mrs Lakes said and Reed scoffed
“Indeed” He mumbled
“I love her so much,please trust me….”
“If you love her then wait for her to become an adult” Mrs Lakes said
“Mom….”
“Quiet” Mrs Lakes snapped at Lotus and faced Virgil
“I will trust you to wait until my daughter is eighteen,she’s too young for that right now,I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. I don’t mind you being together,but let there be limits” She said
“I don’t mind,I’m going to wait. I promise” Virgil said
“I don’t want to wait” Lotus said in tears
Mrs Lakes grabbed Reed’s hand and dragged him out of the room
Virgil walked closer to Lotus
“Why did you promise her that? Are you going to break up with me?” Lotus asked
“No,I won’t break up with you. Let’s just keep our relationship on a low key okay?” Virgil said
“Low key? What’s that?” Lotus asked
“We can’t do anything crazy,if I want to gain your mom’s trust” Virgil replied and Lotus nodded
“I love you baby” Virgil kissed her hair
“I love you too bear” Lotus said.

Terence and Gigi ate in silence for the first twenty minutes until Gigi broke the silence
“It’s my first time here” She said
“I know” Terence replied and she frowned
“Are you for real?”
“Yeah” Terence smiled and she chuckled
“You’ve been ignoring me for a week” Terence said and Gigi dropped her cutlery
“I’m sorry” She mouthed
Terence held her hand on the table,while staring into her eyes
“I’m going to tell you again Gigi” He said and Gigi looked up
“I love you” Terence said and kissed her hand
“I love you too” Gigi said and Terence smiled
“You do?” He asked again
“I’m sorry for keeping you waiting,I’m just scared of losing you again,if we start dating….I don’t want to leave you” Gihi said
“That’s never going to happen Gigi,I promise. I love you okay? Just trust me” Terence said and she nodded
“I love you too” She muttered
Terence smiled
“I wish I can kiss you here crazily” he said
“I’m not that Patient too” Gigi smirked
Terence smiled and kissed her hand which made her blush.

A WEEK AFTER
Valentino and Vanessa rushed out of the car,Giovanni and Becky also came out of another girl together with Gigi,they came to the Cops station after getting the news that the real culprit has been caught.
“How sure are we that it’s real this time around?” Becky rolled her eyes
“Everything about you is negative,you should stop it” Gigi hissed
Valentino held Vanessa’s hand,she was so nervous
“Are you sure you want to see him?” He asked
“I can do this” Vanessa mumbled
“Don’t let go of my hand no matter what” Vanessa added and Valentino nodded
“I won’t” he said
Giovanni looked at them and then away from them
“Let’s go in” he said and they all walked in
As they got there,they were surprised to see Mrs Tucker there,with a man handcuffed looking hefty and cold
Vanessa’s eyes widened
“Its him” She whispers and Valentino held her more tightly.
But he was concerned
“Mom?” He called and Mrs Tucker turned
The man in handcuff also turned
“Why are you here?” Valentino asked
“Oh…you should appreciate Mrs Tucker,she gave us some information about him” One of the cops said
“What?” Becky and Gigi said in shock
‘How?? How?” Valentino asked,looking totally confused,he was still holding Vanessa until Mrs Tucker threw the bomb
“He’s your father” She said and everyone gasped
Vanessa’s eyes widened
Valentino dropped Vanessa’s hand,his head banging heavily.
“What….what….what did you…just said?” He stammered
“He’s your father….Edward” Mrs Tucker repeated and once again,it was as if a stone hit him on his head.
He turned and immediately ran out of the station
Vanessa’s eyes were filled up with tears too
“It’s you” Edward said to her and she looked up
“Do…do you remember me?” She asked
“You remember me too” He said and Vanessa shifted back
“No……that’s not true. You’re not his dad,you’re not Valentino’s dad” she shook her head and ran out
Giovanni immediately ran after her
“Vanessa!” He grabbed her hand and made her face him
“He’s lying right?? He can’t be his dad….”
Giovanni pulled her into a tight hug
“Stop crying,it doesn’t suit you” he muttered while Vanessa kept crying in his chest.
