I tried to pull out from Ben’s hug but his grip was too tight,

“can…can you let go of me now?” I sutter and he quickly let’s go of me of me and said “I’m sorry”

“so I’m really, sorry about your mom, I shouldn’t have blame all this on you, the only person I need to blame is my dad, he’s the crazy one, i should have known you know nothing about all this I’m sorry” I said and he placed his hand on my shoulder

“It’s okay, you don’t really have to keep apologizing, well it is sad that my mom’s dead but seriously I don’t know her that much, it like she didn’t want me, she just took me to my aunts place to stay and I didn’t think she was ready to take me back… He paused and sighed and let go of me.. And then continued

“and then the night of my ninth birthday, she told me I’m going to my aunt’s place to stay, and when I asked her why she got angry and didn’t reply me.. But when we got to the bus station she told me I was a mistake, that she giving birth to me was a mistake, I didn’t take the word in me that night or the next day, but as I start to grow up and understand things better, I realise my mom never liked me, not even from the start it was only dad who actually liked me, my mom made the people around me hate me so much that I just felt like a loner until I went to my aunts, she liked me but her two kids didn’t so it just felt the same.. Well but after all she’s done I can’t do anything, I can’t actually find the gut to hate her because she’s my mom..” he said and and sat down gently on his bed, while I stood like a statue staring at him,, oh goodness I didn’t know what he had gone through and I was treating him badly,

*** you’re just like everyone else treating me like I’m this basterd son**** I remembered his words and I felt like crying, how can someone’s mother abandon her own child, and I have been treating him badly too.. I feel so bad for him.. He has gone through a lot and

“Daisy, are you okay” Ben asked standing up.. J

“what.. I asked but my voice comes out low .. And I realise that there’s tears on my face, dammit.

“why are you cr—

“Oh nothing, it just.. Well it’s nothing” I cut him off and immediately clean my tears.

“look, Ben I’m sorry, for eve for treating you badly and you know.. I’m really sorry” I apologized and he smiled

“it’s okay, it’s actually okay” he said and I nod.. “okay well want me to help you set up” I asked,

“no thanks, I can manage, just go rest, or you can eat dinner” he gro-ned and I nod… And walked out of his room, I met my dad in front of the door grimacing at me, I looked away and walked passed him.

Wow Ben is really something else, after all he’s mom had done he still loves her, he is one nice guy.. How would i even feel if all that happened to him happen to me..!!

I ate a small part of the pasta he made and went back to my room.. I opened another of my novel and starts to read..

It was 8:30pm I was still reading my novel when my mom walked in my room..

“hey mom welcome back,” I said and sit up

“how are you sweetie, have your day been good?” she asked and I nod. ..

“so have you eaten dinner, or should I just order a pizza for you” she asked “it’s okay I’ve eaten dinner” I tell her and she nods

“so.. Is he here?” my mom asked quietly referring to Ben..

“yeah, he actually made dinner” I tell her and, she suddenly wore a confuse look ..

“oh you two have gotten along already?” she asked, and I nod…

“..Noelle’s dead” I tell my mom and she suddenly Turned to me, she only knows that Noelle had an accident but didn’t know she’s gone

“oh my God” my mom said, sympathy filled her voice, she is emotional “poor lady” she said and held my chest

“poor lady? She tries to screw you and dad’s marriage” I tell her in a loud whisper

“well but still I still feel bad for her, and to talk of Ben, he’ll be so sad” my mom said

“actually ben didn’t even know about all this, he just found out actually, from me?” I said

“Huh?” my mom tilts her head, and I sighed and began to tell her everything and by everything I mean everything

 

“oh my God Noelle’s a monster how can she say that to a poor little boy, how can she just abandon her own child, what kind of mother abandon their own child” she said and I sighed

“Ben must be going through a lot, I can’t believe he was treated like an outcast his wh0le life, Daisy in here make sure he gets the best treatment make sure you act polite around him okay!” my mom said, she’s being the over caring mother today, oh well I can learn to leave with that

“yeah, sure” I said and laid on my bed

“I’ll go see if I can have a conversation with him” my mom said, tapped my leg and walked away, I sighed and went straight to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and then changed into my pajamas and finally fell asleep peacefully with no shouting and yelling from my mom..

The next day I woke up and stretched lightly, I walked straight to my bathroom and brushed my teeth, then take my bath and picked an outfit, I wore a tight blue short, and a long sleeved elastic white top..

I brushed my hair and grabbed my backpack.. Just as I open my door to walk out, I. Bumped into Ben

“oh hey goodmorning” he said

“good morning” I replied

“so.. I made breakfast and I was just wondering if you’d like to have some before going to school” he said

“I wish I could but I’ll be late, I’m sorry and my ride is going to be here soon” I tell him and walked passed him.. He trailed behind me as I walk down the stairs,..

“so ..dad says I’m starting your school tomorrow” he announces as we both stood in the living room

“well that’s great news, you’re in your final year right?” I asked

“of course, do I look a twelve year old to you?” he teased and smiled, my stomach grumbled and he heard it..

“sure you don’t want to try out breakfast” he asked with an arch eyebrow, well.. I sure do.. I walked to the dining table and grabbed two slice of bread and shoved them in my mouth and diluted it with a mug of tea and water..

“you have really big appetite for a girl” Ben tells me

“yeah I take after my mother” I tell him and he smiled

“your mom’s nice” he said as he walk me to the door..

I heard the sound of Lucas motorcycle and a small smile formed on my face.. Thank goodness

“so my ride is here, and I gotta go see you after school” I said and before I could open the door the door he already did and I smiled at him.. I walked out and so did he, Lucas waved at me and starts to unbuckle his helmet..

“whoa, so you ride in that?” he asked referring to the bike

“yeah, what’s wrong” I asked

“nothing but that is sick, sick in a good way.. But who is he anyway, your boyfriend?” he asked and smiled ..

“Lucas is just a friend” I tell him and scoffed.. “so let’s hit the road Daisy” Lucas said as he walked close to Ben and I

“hey Lucas” Ben greeted like he’s known Lucas for ages..

“uhm.. Hi.. I guess” Lucas replied and then turned to me, he smiled and grabbed my hand “come-on we’re going to be late” he said and I nod..

We both started to walk away and I turned and waved to Ben

“bye.. See you in school” he said and waved back..

I got on the motorcycle with Lucas and he drove me to school,

School was busy as the usual way I know and we both head to AP English together that morning..

 

“so who was that dude from this morning at your house” Lucas asked as we both went back to our homeroom (class)

“well he’s someone” I replied vividly

“I know he’s someone, like who is he to you and why is he staying at your house” he asked

I mean duh, can’t he tell we’re almost siblings couldn’t he see the resemblance somehow

“well Ben is.. Well he’s my step brother” I said

“so wait, now you’re a living with your step mom or step dad?” he asked

“well I’m actually living with my real parents” I tell him

“what? I understand then how did he beca..

“can you just stick to the fact that he’s just my stepbrother because its actually long story and I’m not In for long talks” I cut him off and he nods.. And suddenly kept quiet

“okay well he’s quite a charm” Lucas said with a smile..

“eww what are you a g-y now? Are you inlove with him or what!” I said sarcastically and he burst into laughter.. “no daisy I just said that to make you feel better.. ” he said and I shrugged

“yeah he’s charming I admit” I said and he nods..

Just then three girls ran past us immediately and one of them hit me and she didn’t even turn back to apologize

“lawd knows what the hell they’re running for I bet it’s something stupid” I said angrily and picked my book that fell down..

“sorry” Lucas said, and I looked at him “why are you apologizing to me when you didn’t do anything” I asked and he shrugs..

Suddenly we start to hear scre-ming and murmuring from outside..

What the hell is going on.. I thought

“hey guys” we heard John’s voice from behind and turned

“hey” Lucas and I said at the same time.. “dude do you know whats going on outside?” Lucas asked

“yeah, just a senior who started school today and all the girls are going nuts for him” John explained and my eyebrows arched

“that’s crazy” Lucas laughed

“yeah he just overshadowed my handsomeness” John said and Lucas rolled his eyes.. “come see for yourself” John said and we all moved to the window in the hallway and looked outside and there was Ben entering the building with everyone staring at him…

“you’ve got to be kidding me” I said.

EPISODE 8

“that’s ben” Lucas said and I glance at him and nod.. I mean yeah I sure can see that.. Why is everyone suddenly blown off by Ben he’s not that handsome to me

“you guys know him?” John asked us and we both nod

“he’s my stepbrother” I said and Lucas nod

“wow beauty does run in your family” John said, tapped my shoulder twice and walked away..

“this is so not good” I said

“what, you should be glad your brother’s popular on his first day of school” Lucas said and I looked at him and walked to class, he walked in after me and we both sat down on our seats

“so did you see the group chat” Lucas asked

“yeah I did.. ” I replied and he nods, peoples start to enter the class and voices filled the wh0le classroom, *did you see the new guy?* *he’s charming and he’s a senior* *there’s a new guy he’s a senior* *he’s breathtaking* *i love him already* *i bet his girlfriend must be pretty* *he’s a heartthrob* *what’s even his name*

“oh yeah, I almost forgot my parents are out of town and I’m having a party this weekend and you’re invited” Lucas said with a small smile and his blue eyes sparkled

“oh a party?” I said timidly

“yeah just a small party for me John, Dylan Sly, Esme and Lorna” he replied

“well okay,” I said and he smiled

“it’s this Friday, let me forward the news to everyone” he said, grabbed his phone and texted the others,

A teacher walked in our class and starts to teach, and this time I payed like serious attention because I have like nothing to worry about , well there’s a fifty percent chance that shows that I’m happy Noelle’s dead, and well Ben’s not as bad as he seems and my mom well she loves him and the only one who’s going to sit back and regret all this is my dad.. Good for him..

After the teacher finish teaching we all heard the bell and some people start to go out to eat lunch, “so… Let’s go eat lunch” Lucas said and I nod.. I was about to stand up when I suddenly lost balance and was about to fall but luckily Lucas caught me.. By my wa-ist

“oh my God thanks you’re a real life saver” I said and stood properly by the help of his shoulder, he smiles warmly and said.. “I sure am.. I’m your lifesaver” tells me

Huh? What is that suppose to mean ‘my lifesaver?’

We were both about to walk out of class when Ben walked in the class and bumped into us

“oh hey, I was just looking for you guys” Ben said happily,

*omy god that’s him* *look at the new guy* *he’s more charming when he’s close* *he is a beauty* people starts to murmur in class and I was sure Ben could hear it too..

The three of us walked out of the class and Ben said “so this is your homeroom right?”

“yeah” I said feeling kind of uncomfortable because all the girls in the class are totally trailing behind us.. Are they going to follow us to the cafeteria or what?… “so your mom was right, this school is great I love it already,” Ben said and I nod.. Lucas who was at my right side sighed and then turned back and yelled

“Would you guys just go back to your classes” Lucas yelled at the girls following us and they all giggled and left,

“thanks” I mouthed to Lucas and he smiled and nod his head

“I had to idea they were following us” Ben said

“well it’s kind of your fault” I said lowly and moved my hair back..

“what?” he asked

“what?” I throw back

“what did you say” he asked

“oh.. Nothing actually” I said.. As the three of us walked downstairs people made way for us and it was all because of Ben, Benjamin Norman.. Really?

Coming down the last part of the stairs, I slipped and almost fell and this time Lucas caught me again. “seriously Daisy, again?” he laughed and I joined him..

“I’m sorry I just don’t get what’s wrong with me today, but well thanks” I said and he just chuckled, while Ben stared at us strangely.. As the three of us walked in the cafeteria everyone stopped just to look at us.. Okay I was wrong to look at Ben.. I mean what the hell he’s not even that cute.. I’d totally pick Lucas or Sylvester over him.. Or even John..

We ordered our food and went to sit in an empty table, I sat down beside Lucas while Ben sat down opposite us, some senior guys passed us and waved to Ben who waved back.. I started to eat not really paying attention to the number of eyes gazing at our table.. “hey Daisy” I heard my name and looked up,and I saw an unfamiliar face.. Who is she? I asked myself

“who is she?” Lucas whispered to me , “I have no idea who she is” I replied back, the girl walked up to us and I think she’s a senior, she sat down beside Ben with a smile on her face, she had blonde hair and all she wore was just pink.. I don’t like girls like this..

“hi.. ” I waved slowly not wanting to be impolite

“hi.. Daisy, Ben and..

“Lucas. ” Lucas helped her

“Lucas.. It’s so nice to meet you all” she continued

“I’m sorry do we know you?” Lucas asked speaking for both of us

“you don’t have to cause I already know you it’s no biggie, well I’m Veronica and I’m a senior” she said with a smile..

“yeah hell we can see that” l mutter to my self..

“anyway I’m having a party this Friday at my place, and you guys are invited including you.. Ben” she said with her l-ips in a small smile Lucas glanced at me and we both made eye contact and I could swear I read his eyes..

“I’m sorry but I won’t be coming” Lucas said

“yeah me too” I said and drank my water

“what, why?” she said frowning

“we have other plans” I said

“yeah” Lucas said, she huffed and then turned to Ben

“how about you? Are you coming?” she asked

Ben gazed at me looking for answers, well he should just answer his mind am not his mom, Veronica looked at me too and I suddenly face my food..”well.. ?” Veronica asked with anticipated

“I’m sorry I can’t go either” Ben said and Veronica sighed and stood up and walked away..

“why did you guys turn down her offer?, are you guys going on a date or what?” Ben asked and Lucas and I suddenly looked at him that he moved back a bit..

“we’re not going on a date, don’t jump into conclusions” I said

“okay well what are the plans you guys have, cause I really wanted to go to that party but because of you, I turned her down” Ben said and took a bite from his meal..

*oh he’s even handsome when he eats* I heard someone say behind me and I sighed..

“you shouldn’t have turn her down if you didn’t want to, well this Friday Lucas is having a party and I’m invited I just can’t turn that down just because some random girl wants to have a party” I said and Ben nods

“yeah, you’re right, so that means I’m going to Lucas party” Ben said happily

“yeah suit yourself man” Lucas said and smiled.. “it’s like you haven’t been to a party before” I tell Ben and he smiled at me..

Hell yeah, he haven’t..

The three of us ate our meal silently and when I looked up, I just didn’t know why I smiled seeing Sylvester walking in the cafeteria, gosh he’s cute..

I stared at him as John and Dylan walk behind him.. Ben looked at me and traced my eyes it landed on Sylvester and I could hear him laugh and I quickly turn to him..

“what’s funny” I asked

“oh nothing..nothing at all” he said with a smile ..

“hey guys” Sylvester waved to us as he passed us.. And I waved back but Lucas didn’t he just nod lightly to the three guys..

After lunch we all went back to class and so did Lucas and I after being impacted with two more subjects, it was time for recess… I mean I still don’t get why this school still have recess recess is for elementary school and, it’s freakingly amazing,..

“so wanna go to the gym?” Lucas asked me..

“the gym? Is that where the cheerleaders practice?” I asked

“yeah but today’s Wednesday so they’re not practicing today the basket ball club is” he replied

“well that’s worse, let’s go to the library instead” I said packing my books

“fantastic idea” he said.. And we both head to the library..

School was over and Lucas and I met Ben outside the school gate with girls clinging to him.. Ugh.. Kill me..

“hey ben” I called

He immediately pushed his way passed the girls and walked up to us.. “oh so Ben’s your name” one of the girls shouted behind him.. And I shook my head negatively..

“so I’m gonna head home,with Lucas, see you at home” I said and was about to walk away when he held my hand and Lucas flinched

“why don’t you take a ride with me some guys are begging to take me home in their car” he said and looked at the direction I looked at the guys and they’re were all seniors badboy senior with a brand new car..

“uhm.. No thanks I’ll ride with Lucas” I tell him and he frowns

“come-on Daisy” he begged

“uhm no thanks..” I said and pulled my hand from his.. “see you at home” I said and followed Lucas to his motorcycle, I turned and there was a sad frown on Ben’s face, I sighed and looked away, I just can’t ride with those guys.. No way
