★ The Accident★

JUPITER HIGH

“Erm…Its best I leave you two alone” Johnathan said as he fled the scene leaving Brianna and Kelvin alone.

Not having a thing to say to him, she turned to leave but Kelvin took hold of her arm and pulled her to the roof top shutting the door behind him.

“Let me out you piece of thrash!” Brianna yelled when he bolt the door.

“Brianna give me a chance to explain to….”

“What’s there to say. I heard it all, I heard your discussion, every freaking one of it!” She yelled at him.

“It’s true that I did made the bet but that was months ago. I will admit that I did approach you due to the bet but along the line, you captured my heart and made me fall madly in love with you” He admitted.

“Tch! I will be a fool if I believed you after what I heard” she snapped at him.

“You need to believe me! Am a changed person, your love changed me, it made me who I am today. I love you Brianna and that’s the truth” Kelvin said as he held onto her arm.

“Let go of me!” Brianna yelled as she push off his hand.

“I told you…I made it clear to you that am not the type to be played with, I told you numerous times to leave me alone but instead you kept pursuing me and made me fall for you only to break me in pieces ”

“If you had had this in mind then you should have found some one else to play with but instead you chose the gullible me”

“And I stupidly fell for your charms thinking you to be sincere, how much of a fool you must have think me of” she said hitting her head.

“I don’t think you to be a fool? You are the most loveliest girl have ever met, you are the one I fell for, the one who completes me, the one my heart beats for amongst numerous….”

“Stop it with your lies! Have had enough okay. Just let me leave. Let me get out of here before breaking down in front of you!” She screamed out her annoyance.

The tears began to fall and though she tried to stop it, she didn’t succeed.

“Am sorry Brianna. I never meant to hurt you” Kelvin said as he pulled her sobbing body to him.

“Just let me leave, please” she begged as he let her go.

Pulling out his handkerchief, he gave it to her and left her at the roof top, giving her the time she need to pull herself together.

HOTEL

Sophia got to the hotel where Lucas stayed and she manage to get the key pass to his room after much persuasion.

She went up to his room and luckily for her, he was not In his room.

She knew he would still be at work and so she still had enough time to prepare some thing as a way of apologising.

The urge to see him had got her coming to the hotel with out bringing a thing and so she decided to cook.

She went to his kitchen and used what was there to prepare some thing eatable for him.

She patiently waited for him to arrive and when he kept taking time, she fell asleep on the sofa.

The soft feminine voice she heard got her waking up.

She sat up when she saw a girl dressed in a yellow flay gown starring at her and standing beside her was Lucas.

“Who is she babe?” The girl asked and on hearing that Sophia sat up.

“What are you doing here?” Lucas asked instead of giving the girl beside him a answer.

“Well…I came to talk to you but since you have company, Its best I leave” she said moving towards her bag.

“And who’s going to eat that?” The girl asked starring at the food Sophia had prepared.

“I prepared it for ….” Sophia stopped what she was going to say when she saw the cold way Lucas was starring at her.

“I better throw it all away” she said before moving towards the food.

She emptied the whole thing she cooked into the bin and after washing the dish, she head for the door.

“How did you do it?” Lucas asked and that got her starring at him.

“Ugh!”

“How on earth did you get them to give you the keys to my room? How did you convince them?” Lucas asked.

“I….I told them that am your fiancee” she answered truthfully.

“Fiancee? Just so you know am his fiancee ” The girl by his side said.

Sophia stared at Lucas hoping he would deny it and when he didn’t, she felt her heart breaking into tiny pieces.

” Am sorry. I won’t bother you again”

“How sure can I be about that? You came here after telling me to get lost and now you are saying you won’t bother me again? How am I so sure that tomorrow you won’t do this same thing?” Lucas asked.

“You can be rest assured. I won’t ever bother you again and I mean it” she said turning to leave but he took hold of her hand.

“You came here to tell me some thing right? Well am giving you the grace to do so before you….”

“It doesn’t matter! What I came here to say isn’t important. Just keep on doing whatever you are doing with her, am sorry I ruined your day” she said as she pulled her hand out of his before running out of his room in tears.

As soon as she got into the elevator, she began to cry her eyes out not caring about the people watching her.

All she could think of is that she lost him, due to her stupid fear and insecurities, she lost the man she love.

HOSPITAL

Tiffany sat on the bed watching Frederick with their little girl in his arms.

While he held her with so much love and protectiveness, he couldn’t stop taking pictures.

“Do you plan to take a hundred picture?” She asked jokingly.

“If possible I will. Just look at how cute she is” Frederick said starring at his cute little girl.

“Do you believe that we haven’t think of a name for her yet?” Tiffany asked.

“I have” Frederick replied.

“Really? What name did you think of, I hope it’s not those….”

“Katie, I chose Katie for her just like your mom” he replied cutting her off abruptly.

“Frederick you….”

“Just the other day, I was talking to your dad and he mentioned your mom to me and I decided then and there to name her Katie. Hope you don’t mind?” He asked.

“Can I give you a hug?” She asked softly.

“Am not sure if that is possible with little Katie in my arms but we might as well give it a try” he answered as he walk towards her.

With Katie in his arms, he sat on her bed while she held onto him.

“You are the best man a woman can ever wish for, I love you so damn much” she whispered into his ear and that got him chuckling.

“And I love you too” he said as he gave her a kiss on the lips.

They pulled apart when little Katie began to cry.

“I think she’s jealous” Tiffany said bubbling with happiness.

“Why would she?”

“Just like you, she’s very possessive” Tiffany replied as she raised a brow at him.

Just then they heard a knock on the door and the two grandparents came in to see their grandchildren.

THREE WEEKS LATER

“Any progress?” Philip ask as soon as Yvonne came into the suite they both booked to stay in.

“It’s all been set. I will be going to Global Ad company as a new shareholder and…”

“That side of things concern you alone. What concerns me is Tiffany, any progress on that?” Philip asked as he cut her off abruptly.

“My guys are ready. Just say the word and it will begin” Yvonne said.

“Then lets work on it soon cause have been patient enough” Philip said feeling very angry.

“Then lets work on it now! “He said which got her nodding.

As soon as Sophia got to her apartment, she set her bag aside and layed on the sofa feeling drained.

She was about to doze off when she heard the door bell chime.

Reluctantly, she got off the sofa and went to open the door.

“Tiffany! What are you doing here?” Sophia asked.

“I came to see you or am I not allowed to?” Tiffany asked as she walk into the house.

“You are but you should be with little Katie instead of….”

“Frederick is taking care of her, I just slip away for a while to get you some where important ” Tiffany informed her.

“Where?”

“Just get dress and you will know” Tiffany told her and a while later, Tiffany led her into a park where there were other people walking about.

“You brought me to the park to get some air right?” Sophia asked enjoying the breeze wafting through them.

“I know right. I need to go and get some thing over there, I will be back soon” Tiffany said as she excuse herself.

Sophia stood alone watching other people in the park when suddenly a little boy approached her with a single rose.

“For me? I don’t think it is….” She stop talking when he pushed the rose into her hand.

“That’s weird” she murmured when suddenly another boy came to give her another single rose and another and another till it became much in her hand.

“What’s going on?” Sophia ask aloud as she stared at the roses in her hand.

“Can you help us take a picture?” A lady said as they approach her.

“Am sorry but I have my hand full and….”

“Don’t worry, we will hold onto it for you” the second lady said as she took the rose from her hand.

“Help us please!” The third girl said as she gave Sophia her phone.

“Fine then” Sophia took the phone from her and they quickly made a pose.

She took the first one and when she was about to take another, the three ladies turned revealing the words on their shirts.

“I love you” Sophia read out softly.

“He loves you!” The three ladies screamed suddenly which got her startled and Lucas chose that particular moment to show up.

Sophia stood watching him as he walk towards her.

“What’s all this?” She asked starring around and by now every one was watching them.

“A surprise proposal, that is if you still want me” he answered.

“But you….you told me ….that lady is your fiancee and….”

“I lied. Paula is just my cousin, she tend to act that way due to her childish streak” Lucas replied.

“So it was all a lie?” Sophia asked and he nodded.

“I was hurt when you told me to stay away and that’s why I stayed away and you have no idea how hard it was for me to let you go that day at the hotel. I was a jerk to you, will you forgive me my love?” He asked as she began to cry out tears of joy.

“I love you Sophia, will you accept me now and marry this lonely jerk of yours?” Lucas asked and that got her nodding in reply.

” She said yes! She said yes everyone! Am getting married” Lucas yelled out in excitement as he lifted her into his arms spinning her around.

Tiffany stood a distance away watching her two friends finally get together. They both deserve all the happiness, she thought as her phone began to ring.

Seeing that it is her doctor, she quickly answered the call.

NEXT DAY
“Are you sure you don’t want me to accompany you to the hospital?” Frederick asked.

“Yes I am sure. I will be back soon, I promise” Tiffany said as she gave him a kiss on the lips and with one last glance at their daughter, she left the room.

Willow had been sent on an errand and so Tiffany decided to drive herself to the hospital.

She was driving down the street thinking about how she will quickly return to Frederick and their daughter when a car came out of nowhere which made her lose control and got her driving down the hill.

A while later, the car in which Tiffany was blew up….
