After Gwen concluded her story of how she and Arthur killed Omhigan, everyone in the room stared at the couple in shock, doubting if they were just making things up.

Xavier ➡ Wait.. You really expect us to believe that you killed Omhigan?

Derrick ➡ Just the 2 of you?

Arthur ➡ Absolutely but Gwen was the one that finished him off.

Everyone was a bit shaken as they saw Arthur drop a bag on the table, they all stare at it anxiously waiting to see what’s in,side.

Petra ➡ Are you sure it’s safe? What if he’s not completely dead? His head might breathe fire.

Getting fed up by everyone’s cowardice, Jake steps in and tear the bag open, displaying the battered head of the once formidable goblin. As soon as everyone sees the head, they all gasp in fright at the ugly and abominable sight. Petra who couldn’t bear to watch anymore feels nauseous and vomits on the head of Omhigan.

Immediately Lindsay steps away from the others, Gilgamesh activates his spacial spell and in a blink of an eye, everyone disappears out of house.

Child birth sure isn’t easy ; it’s life threatening and a experience of a lifetime but despite all that it’s a beautiful thing. I could remember back when Gwen gave birth to our daughter and I could remember how she cried through the child delivery but despite the pain she was going through, Gwen endured and pushed on hærd and with the help of our friendly witch neighbor, the delivery turned out to be a success.
After Gilgamesh teleported us to the hospital, Petra was quickly rushed labour room where Latnivia ; Xavier and Tyrese went into the labour rooms as well to give their women company.
Here in the reception room, I and the others sat patiently waiting for the outcome of the delivery. As Gwen and the other ladies sat on the left side of the reception room, We the men sat on the right hand side. Lisa was with me but I passed her along to Gilgamesh and Jake when they asked that they wanted to see her. Gwen’s father was sitting right across me and his gaze upon me wasn’t pleasant at all ; After realizing that Gil and Jake’s attention was on Lisa, he then began to speak to me.

Derrick ➡ I’m sure you know who I am.

Arthur ➡ Yes sir. Gwen has told me quite alot about you.

Derrick ➡ Good, then you must know how I despite your kind.

Arthur ➡ Yes sir.

Derrick ➡ Sigh.. Well, that was before until the wh0le truth came out. Honestly, I’d never thought that a day like this would come, where everyone kept aside their differences and finally lived as one.

Arthur ➡ That’s life for you sir.

Derrick ➡ Even so, things might have changed but I’m not quite thrilled about your relationsh¡p with Gwen. I wanted to give her a good and a comfortable life but she’s just too stubborn. What’s even worse is that you bred her and now she has your child.

I sensed the anger in Derrick’s voice and I knew he wasn’t pleased at all. I was hoping that I might get him to acknowledge me but it seems that won’t be happening.

Derrick ➡ I don’t know what Gwen sees in you but she made a worst decision of her life by being with you. Not only are you a stranger and an ancient being from another timeline, you’re also a nobody. You have no relations, no job, no house, you’re literally a wash out and how in the world are you going to take care of my daughter?

Arthur ➡ Look sir, I know you don’t like what you’re seeing but that’s the bitter reality of things. I love Gwen and she loves me. I too have asked the same question you’ve just asked but I can’t seem to get an answer.
I may be a stranger and a fossil but I’m no loser, as far as I’m concerned I’m just starting to know and see what life is like. I’ve spent thousands of years in hibernation and now that I’m awake, I feel like a new person and this isn’t the end for me. I’m going to work hærd and I’m going to make a living. If I could take care of your daughter during this months of hiding then I’m sure I can be able to do so in years to come.
Besides, shouldn’t be parents be supportive of their children’s happiness. Gwen is happy and I’m going to make sure she always feel that way. She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I’m not going to give her up. No way. I don’t care if you despise me or not but just to be clear if you dare try to sabotage my relationsh¡p with her in any way.. I’m coming for you.

Derrick ➡ You dare to threaten me?

Arthur ➡ No.. I just gave you a warning.

Derrick and I stared at each other intensely for some seconds as if we were about to have a brawl. I don’t care if he’s my father in law, I just won’t tolerate any disrespect from him and if he can’t be happy about his daughter’s happiness, then he can go to hell.
After a way, the old bat’s mean gaze changed into a smile and then he addressed me one more time.

Derrick ➡ It seems you’re not some soft Patsy and as much as I hate to admit this, you and Gwen have my full blessing. It’s too late to reverse this now and besides there’s a little bundle of joy in this twisted union of yours with my daughter and that’s your child.
Having a beautiful grand daughter isn’t that bad, at least I can’t be angry about that. But just so you know, if you dare to make Gwen sad or miserable in any way, I’ll make your life miserable, Understand?

In that moment, Xavier and Tyrese came out of the labor room with smiles on their faces, We all stood up and asked them of the outcome but they didn’t reply us immediately, they had to draw us in until they eventually told us the good news.

There’s truly no place like home and it sure feels good to be back. A week passed since Arthur and I came back to New-york 🗽 but still everything feels so different. There was no more conflicts between the vamps and the werewolves, everyone lived in harmony and life was better than ever.
Shortly after return, Arthur and I received a warm homecoming party 🎉 and thanks to Lindsay’s broadcast about Omhigan’s defeat, Arthur and I were seen as heroes.
The tales of our battle with Omhigan spread like wild fire and as a appreciation for our bravery a statue was built for the both of us.
After that, Arthur and I decided to settle down and start over from the scratch.
My father was generous enough to buy us a big house but he refused to get Arthur a job but thanks to Xavier’s connections, he was able to get him a job as the NYPD’s tracker. I on the other hand was to repeat my senior year at the SOS.
Thanks to Omhigan’s attack, prom was ruined but it was further scheduled to take place after a couple of weeks but this time around it wasn’t done in the school. So on the day of the prom, Arthur and I were invited to come which we gladly did.
The prom was held in one of the exclusive dancing clubs in Manhattan and it was quite a gathering cause quite a number of influential guests were there as well, their reason for coming was to see Arthur who was a blast from past.
Arthur and I sure took our time to dress properly for the occasion, I wore a black s€×y short gown embroidered all over with tiny black gems ; as for Arthur, he wore a nice black tux and trimmed his moustache a little making him look so attractive and as soon as we were ready, we headed straight to the prom.
The occasion had already started by the time we got there and as we made our grand entrance, all eyes were soon on us. Within a matter of seconds, there were camera flashes of IPhones flashing at us and we were surrounded by almost half of the crowd. Eventually, everyone dispersed and Arthur and I finally got the chance to have a dance.
The music was soft and slow not to mention rom-ntic. The band played smooth jazz 🎷 and it felt really great. Arthur and I danced slowly staring into each other’s eyes dreamily, we even had a share a couple of k-sses while we were at it.

Gwen ➡ Isn’t this great, Honey?

Arthur ➡ It sure is.

Gwen ➡ I wish we could have had our wedding 👰 like this.

Arthur ➡ We could get married again if you want.

Unfortunately, our rom-ntic dance session was ruined thanks to Leona’s rude interruption. She and Adrian approached us but unlike his date, Adrian was calm and nice.

Leona ➡ Hey babe.. Look who it is.. It’s the Detention queen. (laughs)

Adrian ➡ Hey Gwen, long time no see.. You look good.

Gwen ➡ Thanks Adrian, at least you’re civilized unlike some people.

Leona ➡ I’m here to see the legendary goblin killer. It’s sickening to hear people calling your name as if you’re some kind of goddess. You may fool everyone but you and I both know that your dashing husband killed Omhigan.

Leona ➡ I heard you gave birth to a child.

Leona ➡ It’s sad really. You could have been something else but now you’re stuck as a housewife and what’s even worst you’re repeating senior year. How awful.

Gwen ➡ Look b–tch! I’m happy with my life and I don’t regret it. Also, I’m also a hero. I’m famous and I’m still rich. I have a hot husband and a beautiful daughter. What more could I possibly ask for? You however are nothing. You might be rich but you’ll never be the person that I am. I’ll go down in the history book and I’ll be remembered till the end of time and as for you.. Well, your future is a mystery.
Statistically speaking, I’m way ahead of your level b–tch and If you keep poking your nose into my life, I’m going to remove your fangs once again.

Leona kept quiet after I washed her all up, She was angry and embarrassed of course but she couldn’t do anything. After that, Arthur and I left the dance floor and headed towards the door ; we soon left the prom and headed straight to the central park were we had our first date.
As we strolled within the park, Arthur and I talked about what had happened at the prom.

Arthur ➡ You were a bit hærd on Leona.
.

Gwen ➡ Oh, the b–tch deserved it.

Arthur ➡ Still as tough as steel. That’s my wife.

Gwen ➡ And you’re the hammer that bends the steel 😏.

Arthur ➡ Because I don’t want to. There’s no time like the present and I wouldn’t trade this moment with you for a better one.

Gwen ➡ Oh honey.. You know how to say the sweetest things.. I’m glad that I found you.

Arthur ➡ No, I’m glad that I found you. You were the first to accept me despite knowing who I was. You stood by me when I was alone and that is something I’ll never forget. I love you.

Gwen ➡ I love you too.

After that, Arthur and I shared a rom-ntic k-ss underneath the moonlight. It was s-nsational and I’m sure glad that my life turned out to be like this.
It was a tough journey, lives were lost and everything seems hopeless but finally things got better and a bright new future awaits us. No more rivalry, no more conflicts, and most importantly no more goblins. Omhigan is dead and all is well with the world. I can’t guarantee that there won’t be any threat in the future but until then, the present is all that matters and there is no time like the present.
