Royale, Fred and I sit in the dinning table eating our breakfast in total silence.
The only sound heard is our cutleries hitting our plates.
I take a glance at Fred and notice he’s looking at me with narrow eyes, it’s as if he’s suspecting me of something.
He has been giving me this look since he saw Peter’s picture in my phone.
His looks are making me uncomfortable, it’s making me wanna tell him the truth but it’s not my truth to tell, I’d rather keep quiet.
I think I should look for a reasonable excuse to leave Royale with Fred.
And I have just the perfect excuse.
“So I’ve decided that today is gonna be uncle and nephew day” I said.
Fred and Royale drops their cutleries and raise their heads, eyes glued on me.
“Uncle and nephew day?” They both asked.
Oh, so they’re in sync now.
“Yeah”
“I’ve never heard of that before” Roy said. I smile.
“That’s because I just invented it, Roy’s gonna spend all of today with you Fred”
“But why… Uncle Fred is not fun to be with!!” Royale whine and I sniffles a laugh.
Royale is right in that aspect, Fred is always grumpy, I’m surprised how he’s gentle with me this period.
“If Roy spends today with me, what will you do? Are you going somewhere? If you’re why can’t you take him with you?”
I know Fred will interrogate me, that’s why I have already think of answers to give him.
“I’m going out with Bree and kids aren’t allowed”
Fred nods thoughtfully.
“Oh, I see” he pause. “So, where exactly are you guys going?”
Ok, I saw this question coming but I couldn’t find an appropriate response.
So I think I’m just gonna escape this one.
“Where I’m going is not important, just know you’re Roy today” I stand up.
“Erm, Eva are you done eating?” Fred asked me.
“Yes”
“But you barely touched your food”
I roll my eyes.
Well, that’s because you were staring at me the wh0le time, I wanted to say.
“Fred I’m late already. I have to go now”
“Wait, you made an appointment?”
Ugh! Is this what married woman go through?
Must their husbands ask series of questions like this?
Or is it my own husband’s character…
“Eva, why can’t I come with you?” Roy ask sadly.
I lean towards him and ruffle his hair.
“Don’t be sad, I promise your uncle will take good care of you and you guys will have lots of fun” I turn to Fred. “Right Fred?”
Fred eyes me for a few seconds before he reluctantly replies.
“Yeah”
Royale sighs.
“Fine! But you must play with me when you get back”
“Of course!” I k-ss his forehead.
I pick my purse and head for the door, but a clearing of throat stops me.
“Aren’t you forgetting something?” Fred asked.
I frown. I have no idea what he’s talking about.
Seeing my confused expression, he touch his l-ips.
“I just saw you give him a k-ss, I think I deserve one too” he said.
I laugh.
“Are you jealous of your nephew?”
“What if I am” he turns his cheek. “Come on I’m waiting”
I roll my eyes but walk towards him anyway.
I lean forward and place a k-ss on his…. l-ips?
That sly bastard turns his cheek at the last minute and my l-ips lands on his.
I quickly straighten up and glare at him, but he only smile and wink at me.
I huff.
“Trickster!!”
“Take care, sweetheart” he waves me. I shake my head and heads out.

Fred 💔
I look at the door Eva just walk through.
I don’t know why but I have this nagging feeling that Eva is hiding something from me.
“Roy, do you have any idea where your Mom went?”
“Yeah, she went back to London” he said.
Hmm. Something is not right.
“Why did your Mom come here with you?”
He drops his fork and pulls a long face.
“Because my dad cheat on her” he answered.
Really.
I knew Bianca’s visit is not normal, but why didn’t Bianca tell me the truth?.
Wait… that picture I saw on Eva’s phone, that’s Peter.
Why would she have Peter’s picture?
Is she going to Peter? Where is Bianca?
Oh no! This is bad, I need to do something….
