I immediately felt a surge of anger course through my body.
Who the heck sent this text?
What makes the person think that danny and I were a couple?
I saw the threat as useless.
Why would someone want to harm creamy?
Danny and I were not even a couple
So, the threat made no sense to me.
I texted back.

And then I quickly deleted the text.
My breathing had become heavy in anger.
I sipped my cold water, it was tasteless in my mouth.
Could the text have come from April?
I smiled, stupid, stupid!!

Creamy was looking up at me with sad, drooping eyes.
“Hey..” I bent down to pat his head. “…nobody is going to harm you, okay?” I smiled at him.
He gave a little whine, and I picked him up in my arms and limped back to the sitting room.

When Amber heard about it, she ran around the house twerking and shrieking at the top of her voice.
I didn’t tell anybody about the text, it would be useless telling them, because I saw the threat as impotent.
I was relaxing in my room, cool music streaming into my ears from my headset when a video call came in.

I connected the call….
💻Hey.” She smiled and waved at me. She was lying on her bed, the wallpaper in her room was bright pink. Her red hair were packed on top of her head, loose, curly red strands floated around her face.
“Hey too, what are you doing?” I smiled too, as I relaxed more comfortably on my bed.
“Nothing much,but I’m very upset with you…” She scowled at me.
“What did I do?”
“Why didn’t you tell me that April pushed you in the dance training, and why didn’t you even tell me that she was going to be your coach!”
“Who told you she pushed me?” She rolled her eyes.
“When I heard that she was your coach, then I deduced that she was the one responsible for your sprained ankle.”
“Ttch…never mind…I have a plan to deal with her…”
Liar.
“That’s the spirit girl, make sure you deal with her very well. Grab her hair and give it a violent tug, that’s her weak point…”
I smiled
“Thank you.”
“By the way…” She moved closer to the camera, her green eyes glittering conspiratorially. “…what’s going on between you and danny?” A mischievous smile was pasted on her face.
“Nothing.” I said, trying hærd not to smile.
“Liar..then why are you blushing?”
I touched my cheeks.
“I’m not blushing Kori?”
“Liar! I’m already sh¡pping you guys..you’ll make a good couple” she said giving me a wicked smile.
“Kori stop, I don’t like danny, he’s just my celebrity crush, I’m sure he also feels the same.”
“Liar..”
“Can we drop this topic…puh-leez?”
She sighed loudly.
“Ok, I’ll come to pick you up tomorrow, I want you to make pasta… I kinda enjoyed the one you made the other day.”
“No problem.” I smiled.
The call ended.
I lay back on the bed, a small smile hovering over my l-ips, as I recalled the incident earlier today.
What if I had let him k-ss me?

Mom came home, she no longer come back looking tired.

Derek grinned.
“I bet you taste better than the ice cream.” He licked his l-ips slowly, sed-ctively.
I blushed.
“You’ll have to find out yourself… Right?” I purred, as I slowly licked my finger that had ice cream dripping from it.
“Hot!” He moved closer to me, his eyes dark with lust.
Our l-ips brushed gently at first, then heatedly as our passion consumed us. His hands began to travel freely down my body, unrestrained…
His hands cupped my ass,as I dragged him into the bed with me. My hands found the buckle of his belt, and I tugged at it impatiently.
Just then my phone rang loudly…
Our k-ss was disrupted, we broke apart, breathing heavily…
“I’m sorry, I have to take this..” I picked up my phone, my eyes w¡dened when I saw the called ID.
Dominic…
My heartbeat quickened, what could he possibly want now.
“Excuse me.” I murmured to Derek and slipped into the bathroom.
I made sure the door was locked behind me before connecting cal.
“What do you want?!” I asked, trying not to make my fear noticeable in my voice.
I heard a low, throaty chuckle from the other end. I shivered involuntarily, goose bumps appeared on my skin, all the hairs on my body stood on end.
“What do you want Dominic…” My voice shook, shook with fear…
“You…” It was barely above a whisper.
“No…you ca..you can’t have me…” I whispered.
“Don’t let the bastard in your room touch you… You belong to me… Me alone…” He was taunting me, I know it.
“No! You don’t have a say in my life anymore! I can do what I want with my life!” I nearly scre-med at him.
“You think? Just wait till I show everyone who you really are…”
That confirmed my worst fear.
My lungs refused to take in air, my legs couldn’t take my weight anymore and I buckled down to the bathroom floor.
“I…I..destroyed…” I struggled to gasp for air.
A metallic laughter cut me off.
“Just so you know… I’ll be watching your every move, one wrong move…”
The call disconnected.
“Hello?” I whispered.

I woke up, a happy smile on my face. But then the smile disappeared when I remembered last night’s dream.
I had a dream where danny was k-ssing me😞
And I punched him.
I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to shower.
Mom was already making breakfast downstairs.
I sat down patiently to wait for breakfast to be ready.
Amber slowly trudged to the dining room.
Her face was all puffy and sullen.
“What’s up sis?” I asked with concern.
“I’m fine.” She answered, avoiding my eyes.
“Did you have a quarrel with Derek yesterday honey?” Mom asked with a sympathetic smile.
“Yes mom.” She faked a smile. I frowned as I stared into her face. Something was fishy here.
“Awww sweetie, you guys should try to settle your differences amicably, alright?”
“Yes mom.” She smiled again, that forced smile.
“What exactly was the cause of your fight?” I asked slowly, still looking intently into her face.
“Uhmm…” Her l-ips twitched. “Nothing much…we just had an argument… Nothing much..”
“Really?” My frown deepened.
“Hmm-hmmm” she still avoided looking into my eyes.
She stood up quickly and walked to mom, putting her hands around her wa-ist.

“What are we having for breakfast mom?”
I sighed inwardly.
My sister was hiding something, I’ll find out what it is.. I’ll definitely find out…
◀Thirty minutes later▶
I burst into her room without knocking. She was applying her makeup, trying to conceal her bloated eyes.
“Kelly! Don’t you have enough decorum to knock before entering my room?” She asked, somewhat heatedly.
“What are you afraid of me finding out?” I shot back too.
She sighed.
“Just knock next time.” She turned back to the mirror.
“You didn’t have a fight with Derek.” I stated, crossing my hands under my br-asts.
“I did Kelly.” She still kept her face hidden.
“No you didn’t Amber, what are you hiding? From me?” I moved to stand directly in front of her.
“I’m not hiding anything from you Kelly.” She mumbled quietly.
“Look me in the eyes and tell me that Amber.” I said sternly.
“Kelly, that is totally unnecessary..” She put the mirror away, and began to examine her nails.
“Amber, tell me what this is about? I’m your sister goddamit!” I snapped impatiently.
“And there is nothing to talk about too!!” She lost her cool and stood up to glare at me.
“Is this about Dominic? What did he do this time?” I looked intently at her face to see any change, her face remained placid.
“Kelly, I wonder where you’re getting all this strange random thoughts from. I’ve not heard from Dominic since after that night.” She told me calmly.
Why do I have a feeling she’s lying?
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, don’t you trust me?”
I sighed loudly.
“I do..it’s just that I’m worried…”
“No need to be worried, everything is fine.” She hugged me, I hugged her too, my brows knitted in a frown.
“OK…” I forced a smile.
“Where are you headed to?” She asked pointing at my casual clothes.
“To see Kori of course.”
“More like to see danny.” She smiled mischievously.
I blushed, remembering my dream.
“So, have fun sister.”she said with a big smile.
“I will.” I walked out of her room. My fake smile was replaced by a frown.
I turned to stare at her door.
You may have fooled mom, but you can’t fool me Amber. I’m your sister, I know you more than you know yourself. And right now, you’re hiding something, something really bad…and as your sister, it’s my duty to investigate and find out…

I limped out of my car. Oops I forgot to tell you guys, I now have a car😊
A Maid collected my bag. I smiled at her, as I remembered that she was the same maid that always attend to me whenever I come there.
“Hey!” Kori shrieked and ran out to hug me. I nearly fell.
“Easy please, I’ve got only one good leg here.” I said, still giggling.
“Come in…I’ve prepared the kitchen for you..”
“Maybe you should learn how to make the paste instead of inviting me over.” I grumbled.
She laughed and said nothing.
As usual, Danny and Damian were sitting in the dining room, nursing a box of pizza.
“Hey pretties…” Damian drawled. I smiled and waved at them.
Danny glanced up at me, and turned back to his phone.
I scoffed.
Rude jerk😒
But he was so nice to me yesterday and he even k-ssed me in my dreams😒
“Kelly is here to make us some delicious pasta, just like the last time.”
She took my arms.
“Come this way sweetie.” She led me to the kitchen.
She had already set everything ready for me.
I set to work immediately, frying, chopping, deboning, sizzling😋
“Wow…this smells nice…can I taste the fish again?”
I frowned as I silently passed a piece of fish to her.
“Kori, the idea is to cook, and not eat up your food condiments!” I said admonishingly.
She grinned.
“Who cares? After all they all end up in my tummy.” She licked her l¡psl¡ps.
Silly girl.
Her phone rang loudly.
“Sorry, I have to go take this..” She smiled apologetically.
She left the kitchen, her phone pressed to her ears.
Damian strolled into the kitchen, his hands tucked neatly into his pockets.
“Hey..” He said.
“Hey yourself.” I said, as I stirred the gravy.
“This smells nice…” He closed his eyes and sniffed loudly. I smiled as I watched him. He needed a hair cut, his black cropped hair was now long, and fell over his face, almost hiding the left eyes.
“Why are you in Danny’s house? Don’t you have a house?” I asked.
He laughed.
“We are best friends, his house is same as mine.”
“Hmm-hmm.” I said wondering. Jenny and I were best friends, but I’ve not really been to her house. She never let me.
“Really? Does he visit you too, or only you do the visiting?”
“Of course. He visits me, but I visit more frequently now because Kori is around.” I wrinkled my nose.
Jenny and I were still close friends, it doesn’t matter if I visit her or not, but she visits regularly.
“Can I have a piece of fish?” He leaned closer to me, smiling, flirting with me.
I rolled my eyes.
“Here.” I picked up the fish to give him. He seized my wrist, and slowly ate the fish from my hands, his l-ips brushing my hands.
I blushed and bent my head, biting my l-ips.
“When will you ever repent? Don’t you get tired of flirting?” I asked, turning to the pot.
“I do,,sometimes…what happened to your legs?”
“Oh. .I tripped over and fell during my dance training.” I said airily.
He bent down to examine my leg.
He touched it gently.
“Sorry.”
“Thanks.” He stood up and looked into my face, I turned my face away.
He moved closer to me.
“Hey look!” He said suddenly, and I turned to look at him.
It happened too quickly, in a microsecond.
He moved forward suddenly and the next thing I felt was his l-ips on mine…

I was too stunned to react immediately, he pulled back, away from me. My eyes w¡dened, I placed salty hands on my l-ips, looking at him.
He looked away, running his hands through his hair.
“W..w..what w..was that…” I stammered immediately I found my voice.
“Look, it’s nothing… I..I was just curious…”
“Curious?” Does that even make sense at all? He just freaking k-ssed me!!
My hands smacked his face hærd. He staggered backwards
“No strings attached.. It’s just a k-ss…”His voice was raspy.
I looked into his face.
Did he just k-ss me now? Or did I imagine it?
“A k-ss?” I whispered, blinking repeatedly. My cheeks heated up.

Damian k-ssed me!!
“Why…did you…” He looked flustered.
I turned around, danny had entered the kitchen.
“What’s going on?” He looked at my face, I turned to the gas cooker,, in a bid to hide my reddened face.
“Damian… We need to talk.” He said sternly to him.
“Can’t it wait..”
“No, we need to talk now!” I watched as danny dragged him out of the kitchen.
Immediately they left, I took a long,heavy breath.

“Because her face was bright red when I walked into the kitchen, Now spill!” I wa already getting more angry.

I was getting more angry as his rambling continued.
“Then why did you k-ss her?” I demanded,, not masking my anger anymore.
“Hey, dude, you’re jealous or something? It’s not as though I really k-ssed her, it was just a peck on the l-ips, no tongues used…” He tucked his hands into his pocket.
“But you k-ssed her! Without her consent?!” My voice had risen, I was almost shouting at him.
“She was perfectly okay with it.” He countered.
“She’s naïve… You said that yourself!”
“Listen, I don’t know why you’re making a fuss about it…I mean it’s just a k-ss…” He frowned suddenly and turned his narrowed eyes to me.
“Heeey…wait…. Don’t tell me…you like her…”
“No I don’t.” I snapped.
“Then why all the noise… It’s just a simple k-ss…what will you now do if I should take her to bed?” A leering smile was on his face, my anger doubled, trippled… I lost my cool.
My fist lashed out, caught him in the face,

I quickly dished out the food. Nobody else was in the dining room.
Then danny and Damian came in.
Damian had a white plaster on his nose, danny had a white plaster on his knuckle😒 I hope it’s not what I’m thinking.
“Hmmmm…” Damian sniffed. “Smells good…”
I glared at him. We still needed to talk about the… The k-ss
“What happened to your nose?” I deliberately ignored danny, he acted like I was not even in the dining room.
“A terrible accident happened.” He smiled and then turned to look at danny, and then at me.
Kori came in, with a big happy smile on her face.
“Hey guys! I’m so happy today.. ” she sat down on her chair. I silently passed her a plate of pasta. She licked her l-ips.
“I’ll be giving you guys a treat. We are all going to the park, to have fun.” She squealed excitedly.
“Hmmm.” Damian grunted out. And then the eating commenced, spoons clinking on plates, ‘hmm’s and ‘wow’s
“Nice one Kelly… Seems like I’ll invite you over again… Your meals are so delicious… Don’t you think so danny?” She nudged him on the ribs.
“Huh?…” He looked up from his food. I cleared my .
“I said, Kelly’s food taste delicious… Right?”
“Uhmm…yeah.. It’s fine?”
“Fine?” She questioned.

I kicked her legs from under the table.
He sighed heavily, and looked at me. I gave a half shrug.
“It’s delicious… Are you happy now?” He asked, glaring at Kori.
“Hmmph…took you so long enough to admit it.”
I covered my face with my palms.
The meal went on without another hitch.
after the meal, Damian got a call.
“Sorry guys.” He told us after the call ended. ” I have a very important meeting now. So I can’t come to the park with you. ”
“Tchh…I don’t remember inviting you to come with us…shuuu…go along.”
I laughed.
“Danny!!” Kori scre-med. I winced and closed my ears. “Why are you not dressed yet?!”
“Kori, I can’t come to the…”
“Yes you’re coming!! Or else I’ll tell mom about it!” She stood with her hands akimbo, glaring at him and also challenging him to refuse.
“Arghh! Fine! I’ll go get dressed.” He stood up and walked away.
“Now Kelly.” She gave me a sweet smile, I gulped audibly. “..come let’s make you pretty…” She held out her hands to me. I took it. She led me to her room.
She applied make-up on me, then she sprayed this expensive smelling perfume on me that left me light headed.
“Now…you look hot. You have hot l-ips you know.” She bent down and applied glitter lip gloss on my l-ips.
“There…” She brought out her phone and before I could even understand what she was about to do, she had already taken a picture of me, the flash light blinding me momentarily.
Whoops!!
“Hot pics…I have a better plan for it.”
“What plan?” I asked, still dazed from the flash light.
“Personal plan. Come on, let’s go.”
She walked out of the room, I followed her.
Danny was standing at the foot of the stairs, his eyes glued to his phone, a black headset on his ear.
He turned when he heard us arrive.
Gosh, is it must imagination, or does he suddenly look handsome now😌
His pale blue eyes contrasted with the gray T-shirt he wore, his tiny diamond earrings glittered.
I gulped, quite forcefully when his stare on me lingered longer than was necessary. I forced a smile, he finally looked away. I held my chest and took a long breath.
“Hope you guys don’t mind, I’m bringing coco with us…I can’t leave her here on her own.” She picked up her whining dog and stroked her furs affectionately. I smiled, wishing that creamy was here.
“We are using my car.” She said to danny,,who was already heading to his own car. He gro-ned loudly.
“I just wonder what you’re up to Kori/” he said before entering Kori’s bright pink convertible.
I turned to glare at her.
“What are you up to Kori?” I asked, frowning.
She gave me a sweet innocent charming smile, and heaved her shoulders in a shrug.
“Nothing harmful.”
I slapped my forehead.
“Shuu, get in,side the car.” She pointed to the backseat.
“Can’t I stay in front with you?” I don’t like the idea of sitting in the back with danny.
“No, the front seat is for coco and I… Right coco?” She bent down to rub the dog’s head again.
Hissing loudly I entered the car, slamming the door.
“Geeez Kelly, easy with my baby.. ‘
Danny and I both looked at each other, then he shifted to the far end of the car, almost squashing himself to the window.
I felt bad, am I so despicable that he couldn’t even bear touching me?
I thought I passed his test yesterday?
Why is he then treating me like dirt?
I also shifted too, I kept my face to the window, my heart suddenly heavy.
” what park are we going to? ” I asked April. Trying to reduce the tension that had suddenly acc-mulated.
“Primrose park.’ I could see her smiling from the rear mirror.
The drive was made in silence, Kori kept talking to her dog. I suddenly wished that I had brought creamy along with me, at least I’ll have someone to talk with, instead of being stuck here with the jerk😒
We soon arrived at the park.
“Guys, we’re here.” Kori announced cheerily, bouncing out of the car.
“Yeah, we know that.” I said drily as I got out of the car too. I was wearing a yellow velvety blouse, and bright green shorts that stopped a few inches above my knees,,leaving much of my legs exposed.
“You’ve got hot legs Kelly!” Kori said suddenly.
I cleared my throat.
“Don’t you think so danny?” She elbowed him playfully in the ribs.
“Don’t I think what?” He asked with a frown.
What is Kori up to?
“That Kelly has hot legs?” She gave me a slight wink. I prayed desperately for the earth to open up and swallow me.
I could feel his gaze, as it traveled through the length of my legs, I felt blood rush to my cheeks.
I’m going to murder this girl😔
“I…er…guess so.”
“You guess so? It’s either a yes or a no!” She ‘hmmp-ed’

“Uhmm..yeah?”

I grew hot all of a sudden, I fanned my face with my hands.
“Good. This way guys, let’s go get some ice cream.”
She skipped merrily through the park, coco trotted after her, while danny and I struggled to keep up, as we grudgingly dragged our foot.
She by bought ice cream and doughnuts and we found an empty table.
We sat down.
“Good, let’s enjoy.”
I hesitated, then took one spoon and began to lick my ice cream.

I knew that something was fishy from the beginning. I mean Kori does not just give random treats. My sister was acting matchmaker for Kelly and I. Her tactics were so pathetic, but amusing.
I spooned the frozen chocolate flavored ice cream to my mouth. Kori was patting Coco’s head.
A text buzzed in my phone.

I opened the message.

I frowned, who’s the ‘her’ she was referring to?
I glanced at Kori, she avoided my gaze. I then looked at Kori, she was scooping up ice cream from her plate. Her brown eyes locked with mine for a few seconds before she looked away.
My eyes instinctively fell to her l-ips.
I watched, quite enthralled as her l-ips closed around the little plastic spoon, her lip gloss glittering tantalizingly.

I looked away.
The gesture seemed so harmless, yet very, very er*t*c.
My eyes moved on their own accord to Kori, there was a little hidden smile on her face.

My eyes moved to Kelly again, to her l-ips.
As her l-ips closed around the spoon again, two tiny drops of sweetness escaped from the spoon and rolled slowly down her l-ips, down to the corner of her l-ips…
A pink tongue slithered out and caught the escaping drops of ice cream, slowly…almost sensually.
Her brown eyes litted, as she glared at me.
Freaking devil!
I cursed Kori in my mind.
“Uhm…guys…coco wants to ease herself…” She gave me a wicked smile. “…we’ll be right back..”
“But Kori..” Kelly began, but the she devil hastened away with coco.
Kelly sighed , and pushed her plate of ice cream away from her.
I watched her, forgetting my ice cream.
“Stop scaring me.” She said suddenly, without looking at me.
“Sorry.” I murmured and turned to my phone.
Her legs brushed my legs from under the table. I looked at her, expecting a ‘sorry’
She just looked at me, not saying anything.😏
I cleared my throat loudly.
She’s always tensed up around me…why?
She’s not like this with Damian..
“Excuse me?” Someone tapped our table. I looked up at the person.
A middle aged man with a goatee, sprinkled with gray. His dark curly hair also had the gray.
“Yes?” I asked unkindly… I didn’t want anybody asking for autograph now.
“Do you mind if I take a picture of you… You and your girlfriend?” He asked, giving me and Kelly bright smiles.
“What?!” Kelly and I chorused together.
“Hey sir!” We heard Kori’s voice.
Since when did Kori start addressing someone as ‘sir’?
The wh0le business looked so suspicious.
“You can go ahead and take a picture of them, they don’t mind, right Kelly?” She nudged Kelly’s shoulder.
“Huh?”
“Please sir, just a few pictures… You guys look amazing.” He said, quite pleadingly.
“Go on danny, go and take a picture with Kelly. Now!” She said, giving me a knowing look.
I gro-ned inwardly.
“Kelly sweetie, what are you waiting for?” She patted Kelly’s hair. “Go on. Now!” The way she said the ‘now’ it meant, ‘don’t disobey me’
I stood up.
“Make it snappy.” I put on my dark goggle, hiding half of my face.
“Come this way please.” He led us to a shrub of bougainvillea flowers.
“Stand beside him ma’am.” Hr said, smiling sweetly at Kelly. She stiffly moved closer to me, careful not to let our bodies touch.
“Danny,..” Kori smiled at me. A wicked smile. “Remove your goggles. Now!!”
I facepalmed myself and removed my goggles.
The man brought out a camera and put it to his face, then removed it again.

“Oh look…there’s a bug!” The man cried suddenly. I looked at my shoulders, nothing. Then at Danny’s shoulder… Nothing too.

“rom-ntic pose.’ He exclaimed, brining broadly.
” care to see? ”
“No.” Danny said.
‘Yes please. ” I said. The man showed me the picture, dannny and I were looking into each others face, like as though we were oblivious of our surrounding… The picture quality was fantastic.
“Kori, I’m bored now…can we go now?” It was danny and yes, I was getting bored by kori’s lame attempt at matchmaking.
“But we just got here!” She protested with a whine.
“Ouch!” I faked a pained expression.
“What is it Kelly?” She asked worriedly
“My leg.. They hurt… I want to go home now…”

“Come on, let’s go home, you need to rest.”
She said worriedly.
I smiled to myself.
“Danny what are you waiting for? Can’t you be a gentleman for once I’m your life? Can’t you see she needs help?”
My jaws dropped.

“Danny, carry Kelly now!” She told him sternly.

Danny picked me up, I tried hærd to steady my quickened heartbeat.
His hands clutching my bare thighs, the almost invisible smirk on his l-ips…I reddened immediately.
“Hope you had fun today?” He asked suddenly, his hot breath fanned my ears. I stiffened.
I blushed and turned my face away
