💙CHAPTER 23💙.

“They seem to really care about you ?” Mandy murmured as she drove me home.

I frowned at her and her strange behavior.

“What’s up with you lately?”I grimaced.”Is like you can’t say no to them.”

Mandy sighed and rubbed her forehead wearily.”I can’t really explain, but their family kinda owns everything in town.so its not like you can just say no to them.”

I ignored her flimsy excuse and choose not to comment.

“Are you coming to school tomorrow?”Mandy frowned.

“Probably not”I gave her a weak smile.”I think am just gonna take it easy tomorrow,maybe get some homework done.”

“And you’ll be at work on Sunday?”Mandy raised her eyebrow at me,daring me to flake out.

“Yes ma’am”I nodded chuckling as she grinned back at me.

Mandy dropped me off at home and I sighed in relief as Charles was passes out cold on the recliner.I grabbed some cold leftovers from the fridge and wobbled up to my room.

The first thing I did when we moved here was install a new lock at my room.so you’ll need a key in order to access to my room.and it made things easier for me so that Lydia and Charles won’t mess with my stuff when I was not around.

I unlocked my door quickly and stepped in.I picked at my food whilst that lay in the bed staring up at the ceiling.

I went early to bed that night, determined to sleep through as much of the days as possible.Sleep was a peaceful break from the conflicting emotions that haunted my every move.

I slept my Friday well.

Lydia had left for work early and the tipsy Charles was sleeping.I woke in my bed my heart hammering so damn fast.

A deafening crash awakened me from my dream.

A dream that featured Alec and Ethan. and I saw a girl o didn’t know her but she seemed to know me.

She was yelling at me but I didn’t feel any danger from her.”Clean your damn ears and start listening to me’, she yelled and followed by ‘Quit fighting Alec and Ethan, stupid, they belong to you.’

While it wasn’t an interesting dream I couldn’t see it changing.All I found was that this storm sounded beautiful to me.

I had lived in desert and dry area so this one was a really cool weather to me.I shuffled out of bed and went to the window ledge looking towards the forest.

A part of me was expecting to see those two black wolves looking up at me.Admittedly I was disappointed when I didn’t see their dark eyes.

I wasn’t sure how long I had sat on the window ledge but the rain had faded away.
Leaving behind the w-t afterglow on the grass and forest .

I moved from the window to my bed and I could feel my leg was stiff.

I slept till afternoon.I woke up and took a shower.
As I was about to go out I heard Lydia’s voice and that meant she’s back from work early.

I needed to be careful while heading out of the house.I went back to my room and applied a concealer on the fading marks on my neck..

Time passed while I sat quietly on my bed..I dug into my pocket and texted Autumn to come and pick me , cos I didn’t want to disappoint her by not going to her party.

I checked my closet and wore a jeans and a short sleeved shirt, and some sneakers, which were big due to the boot I had.

I grabbed my leftover dinner. I crept down the stairs hopping to find Charles and Lydia asleep.
I planned on jumping through the window but o didn’t want to be like a crippled so I chose to go with the flow.

when I was downstairs I met Charles and Lydia still watching the TV, I passed slowly to the front door, but Lydia saw me , she just raises her eyebrow at me and turned her attention back on watching the TV.

Lydia said nothing about me leaving late at night.

I met Autumn and in a few minutes she was driving down the cool night.

Her gaze fell to the giant boot on my leg.”What hapenned to you ?”

“Fell down from the stairs”I frowned. I had been telling this lie too much.

“My clumsiness will be the death of me ” I said and she chuckled pulling down a driveway.

“We’ll have to wrap you in a bubble to keep you safe.” she chuckled.

Though I didnt know who was hosting the party, and she didn’t leave that far from my home. she then pulled over at my neighborhood, the house was big but not that big like Alec and Ethan’s.

I hobbled out of the car and Autumn waited for me patiently.

There were not many people though but they didn’t notice is as we passed in between them.

The girls wore flashy dresses like Autumn’s.

I looked around for Mandy but I didn’t see her.
Then my phone rang from my pocket.
Its Mandy,.

“Hello” she said.

“Hi”.

“Where, the hell are you?” .

“A party ofcourse” I replied.

“Party, what kind of party?” she asked making me daze.

“Autumn, invited me over to her place for a party.”

“But, I didn’t hear anything like Autumn hosting a party”.

“Mandy….” The phone call cut off making things get suspicious for me.

Autumn looked at me .

“Who are you looking for?”.She asked.

“Mandy”.

“ooh. my bad, I didn’t invite her, are you perhaps, uncomfortable I can take you back.”,

“No am okay” I faked a smile at her but I was getting scared.

Why did Mandy say she never heard Autumn was hosting a party.

A Guy with brown hair walked over to our way.

“Hi”.he greeted smiling at me.

“Hey” I replied casually.

“Am Carson”he gave me a hand to shake.
“Anatalia”.

“Nice to Meet, you perhaps do you mind grabbing a drink with me?”He asked.

Since I didn’t want to turn his offer down and Maybe offend Autumn I accepted.

“sure”I said faking a smile.

He walked over to a small table and came back after a few minutes with Two glasses of Wine

he gave one to me and I took it as I thanked him.
I gulped it down in one go and gave him the glass. he smiled at me weirdly but I shrugged it off.

I felt like using a bathroom and Asked Autumn and she gave me the direction.
.As I was Walking down a corridor I felt my body getting weak.

‘What’s happening to me,’ I was sweating so much, I clutched on My neck, my breathing was getting difficult.

That guy Carson. probably added something in my drink.I gave out and fell on the floor.
My vision was getting blurry and my head throbbed so much.

I could hear My phone buzzing in my pockets but I didn’t have the strength to pick it up.
I just struggled and got up and held myself with the wall.

As I was about to try and pick my ringing phone I heard a voice behind me That made me to get weak even more.

“I GOT YOU”.

“Carson” I said weakly while I held my head.

“Yeah, its me “I heard him reply in a cold voice that made me feel danger from him.

I started to hear so many voices in my head as his footsteps were getting near me , i could hear them so clear in my head.

‘Alec, Ethan, help me’ I thought as I moved my hands to cover my ears and stop this noises

“I GOT YOU”.He said lifting me from the ground.

I felt weightless in Carson’s arms.My mind was swimming numbly, trying to form any coherent thoughts.All I knew was something was definitely wrong with me.My limbs refused to respond , and if they did it was incredibly slow.

Carson carried me somewhere.Sights and sounds I had experienced Multiple times. were now completely foreign.

I was thrown on something soft.My mind couldn’t comprehend what it was.My fingers twisted in the soft material slowly, winding and unwinding.

“She didn’t even notice.”Carson’s voice rang out., but I couldn’t understand what he was saying.I could hear the words clearly, but I couldn’t understand the meanings.

In the midst of the absolute cloudiness of my brain,Something else was happening in,side of me.At first it felt like pinpricks.Like something was hitting a brick wall.The feeling was like an itch in,side my head.It was the only thing I could focus on at the moment.

‘Quit ignoring me, stupid’

‘Ugh, what have you gotten yourself into’

Some part of my brain was having it’s own running dialogue..

‘Should’ve listened earlier, damn it’

‘Gotta do everything around here’

A giggle left my l-ips. I was having an argument with myself.
The itching feeling grew stronger ,while the brick wall grew weaker.

Something began rushing through me Something warm and potent coursing through my veins.Like a gulp of hot chocolate after playing out in the snow all day.

My mind became clearer and the details around me became much sharper .

I was laying on a bed.Carson stood not far away from the bed.He was talking very animatedly over the phone.

“Carson” I mumbled ,”What happened?”

“Shit” Carson hissed under his breathe and I wasn’t sure how I was able to hear it.

I could hear someone coming up the stairs, walking down the hall.My mind was beginning to clear, but it was taking longer for my body to get the message.

The bedroom door opened and two people walked in.
My Stomach clenched and anger swarmed through me.The anger felt misplaced like it wasn’t coming from me.

Grace and a dark haired girl came into the room.A malicious look was on their face.
“Grace”My voice was clear, confusion swirling in my words.

The smug look on Grace’s face slipped just an inch as she turned to Carson..
“I told you to give her enough.”Grace spat angrily.”Can’t do a simple f–king job?”.

” I gave her exactly,what you told me to.”Carson snapped.”I don’t know it’s f–king wearing off already.”

It took up all my energy to sit up on the bed..My movements were slow and groggy..It felt like my mind was wide awake.while my body was asleep.

Their words had a cold feeling rushing through me.

“Mandy ” Her name left my l-ips, feeling like a lifeline.
Mandy had sent me multiple texts, she could be probably on her way.

“Mandy” Grace spat.”Don’t tell that bitch is here?”
Grace turned to her dark haired friend.
“Go get the other one”

Grace’s friend left without a word as Grace’s attention was now fixed on me.

Her blue eyes were glinting maliciously.I had never looked into the eyes of a psychopath before, but I assumed this is what they’ll look like.There was no light behind her ocean blue eyes.Just an emptiness that made me to shake in fear.

“Poor little Anatalia.”Grace spat.”You moved to the wrong town and f–ked with the wrong girl.”

“I’ve never done anything to you.” I pointed out my voice shaking.

“Oh_ but you have.”Grace’s smile was serpent like.”You think they see something in you.They see a silly little bitch who can’t say no.”

“They?”I paused.”The Twins?.”
“Who else Anatalia.”Grace’s voice was soft her eyes murderous.”I’m going to make sure no one wants you after this, No one at all.”

“Got her.”Grace’s friend said walking into the room.
a familiar face in tow.

“Autumn?” My mouth dropped.

“Sorry Anatalia.” she replied with a straight face.Any familiarity was wiped clean.

“Shut the f–k up.” Grace hissed.”Did Mandy come with her.?”

“No.”Autumn shook her head.”I did as you said.Mandy never knew about the party.”

“Good.”Grace turned her reptilian smile at me.”So that means we won’t be interrupted.”

Carson leaned against the dresser.A silent player in Grace’s twisted game..

“You’re going to stay away from the twin’s Anatalia.”Grace spoke her voice crystal clear.”Hell, drop out of school if you have to.I don’t really care.”

Before I could bite back a reply.something hærd slammed at the side of my face.I was knocked back onto the bes with a thud.Black s₱0ts danced across my vision.My face pounded ruefully.

I looked up to see Grace her fist already cocked up for another blow. I couldn’t understand how she was strong.Grace was thin.little muscles on her body, but that couldn’t mean she is this strong.

Another blow slammed into me ,across my lip following a spurt of something warm and metallic tasting in my mouth.

“Stop” the words were barely a whisper.
My eye throbbed and I could feel the skin around it swelling.Autumn stood there watching anywhere other than me.

Grace on the other hand grinned at her handiwork.
“You won’t yell them about this Anatalia.”Grace murmured getting close to my busted face.”Trust me ,I have no problem of getting rid of you permanently.”

“I’ll stay away.”I whimpered.
Nothing was worth this.Nothing was worth this pain.
“Good.am glad we have an understanding Anatalia.”

A gasp left my l-ips when Grace turned around to leave the room with her dark haired friend and Autumn following behind.

Grace turned and said something to Carson, She really wasn’t jocking when she said she’d ruin me.

“Have fun with her.Carson.”Grace murmured as she patted Carson’s shoulder and smiled at me evily before she walked out of the room closing the door.

Carson stared at me as something flashed in his eyes.LUST.

He walked closer to me.
“She f–ked up your face pretty bad”Carson murmured a smirk forming on his l-ips.
“But I can look away, cos to me it doesn’t bother.”

“Carson don’t_”I opened my mouth to plead and beg him.
“Shh” Carson cooed evilly ” It’ll be easier for you if you don’t struggle.”

Carson knelt on the bed and grabbed my legs, tugging me towards him.

Carson started to open the zipper to My jeans.
so this is it. I thought.
And the itching feeling grew.

‘Let me through, Anatalia.’
