Venessa POV 💄
“Who the f**k do you think you are?” I asked knocking on the tinted window of the back car.
” It took you almost ten minutes to pull your shit together brick head.”
I said the moment I see the tinted window coming down slowly.
I came face to face with him, shiver ran through me and my hair stood on their own.
His pale skin and blood red kissable lips with those black eyes looking at me like anytime from now, I will be some else.
“Oh my God is this real?” I asked not knowing what to say.
I don’t even know the speed that carried me back to my car, I closed and locked it.
With full speed, I drove back to the street passing different Conner.
Only to reach my work place after one hour of driving.
I Walk briskly down to the elevator to meet people lined up just for the elevator.
It seems we will have to do some exercise, I said ty inner mind before using the staircase.
I was practically walking and practically jumping on the staircase just to get to the last floor.
Meaning I have to climb twenty four multiply by six to get to the last floor.

God, I thought rubbing my forehead before climbing the rest.
Cleaning my sweaty forehead, I settled down on my sit.
Meeting him real life brought back all my nightmare especially his pale skin.
If this is a dream, I wish to wake up before it’s too late.
Come to think of it, it looks too real for it be a dream.
“Miss Blackwell?” The direction questioned with one of his leg inside my office and the other one outside.
He was tapping his fingers impatiently on the glass made door which demarcate my office and the outside.
Just with those words, I know what exactly he was talking about.
“Mr Nam, I was caught up in a traffic. Am very sure it’s all over the news now.”
I said mentally rolling my eyes and scrolling at his stupid question.
“Oh well, about that…” He paused checking his wrist watch.
” We are having a visitor. When I say a visitor, he is someone you don’t want to mess with. ”
He said using his hands and facial expression to describe the person he is talking about.
“Secondly, we are having a meeting about your next mission in four hours time. ”
He said walking out of my office and I sigh in relieve before sitting back.
“Make sure you tell your crew about it. And please be quick about that file. ”
He said pointing to the one he had dropped on my table before he is finally gone for good.
That old man talks to much for his age, I thought huffing on my sit.
Signing up on my computer,I started doing what I was asked to look into.
Still with his face disturbing me,I wonder why he couldn’t turnt someone else.
Why me?the answer is what am yet to find out.

Leaving my home today, I have been having this strange vibes that something big is about to happen.
Something big and unexpected.
I wonder what that thing would be, I thought before entering my car.
With just a nod from me, the driver started driving while I just enjoy every view.

My personal phone started ringing disturbing my precious view in the process.
It’s either my sister, or my show off brother or my annoying father.
Maybe the whore of a woman who called herself a mother and a queen decided to call.
“Hello,” I said harshly after checking it was the annoying father of mine.
“Son, what am I hearing?” He asked making me roll my eyes.
“What ever you hear is what ever I did and the truth.”
I said not wanting to dig my head into rubbish or rumors he heard about me.
Because I have enough on my plate right now that I don’t even know where to start.
I wonder why they all except my little sister likes poking their nose into my business and private life.
“Your brother has found his own equal since 400 years ago. What are you waiting for? ”
He asked with authority laced in his voice.
“Well , you can actually save them the stress of looking for her by giving me yours. ”
I said smirking. Knowing well I have hit his weak spot. Silence played at the other side.
“I aren’t joking son!” He warned in his stupid dangerous voice.
The voice that can’t even move the hair on my body not to talk of me.
“Old man, I think you should make your son the crowned prince. ”
I said looking out the window again.
“You know that’s not possible, he can’t even dear sir on the thrown not to talk of been a crown prince.
You know what will happen if he should try. “He said sounding pissed off.
” He will only die and I think he is a vampire, he has much life span.”
I said mocking him even if I know it’s not possible. He only hissed.
“Then stop making it seems like a competition.” I snapped because all is life is based on competition.
And he can’t continue making my life competitive with my brother’s own.
Not when I have chosen the life I want to live. Suddenly, the urge came, that of my equal.
Looking around, I sighted the girl standing infront of my car.
“Don’t move.” I ordered my driver while he pressed on the break pad.
“Who the f**k do you think you are?” She asked knocking on the tinted window.
I hung up on him before he could ask or hear what she just said.
” It took you almost ten minutes to pull your shit together brick head.”
She said the moment the window started coming down automatically.
I came face to face with my equal. My eyes almost pop out of their socket when I realize that she is human.
Then the old bat words started coming back…
