I was preparing some fishes for lunch when I heard the door crack open.

Pempem you’re back,hope you got the flour? I asked

Mum am back but I brou-ght the flour with me. She said as she entered the kitchen and have me a peek on my cheeks.

Joan you’re back early. I uttered

Yes mum,I couldn’t go to the libr@ry today because I’ve a little headache. She explained

Have you taken any pills dear? I asked worriedly

Yes I’ve mum. She replied

Mum isn’t Jeff back yet? She asked

Oh yes he dropped by with a beautiful girl,her name’s Emily and he was given the scholarsh!pinto college. I said smiling

Really! Am so happy.. I wish to congratulate him right now.. mum can I go to Jeffrey’s workplace plea-se? She asked smiling

Joan that doesn’t sound like a good idea,that would only distract Jeff from his work. I said defiantly

Well with my qualifications,I can only be a receptionist or task carrier in a company. He said

You shouldn’t belittle yourself,I believe you can do more than just being a task carrier or receptionist. I said smiling

I was seated outside waiting patiently for Jeffrey to get to work but surprisingly I saw him get down from a car and a girl c@m£ down as well.. she’s beautiful.
Did Jeff get himself a girlfriend without even telling me.

Jeffrey. I called out as the girl drove off.

Aaron sir,what are you doing out here alone? Jeffrey asked as he walked to me.

Just enjoying the lovely atmosphere. I said smiling as I stood up from the bench I was sitting and we both walked into the cafe.

‘ Jeffrey’s my best friend, we’ve been friends for two years now. The workers here in the cafe gets jealous of him because he’s the only one who I listen and talk to even the manager of the cafe is jealous of Jeff because he couldn’t make friends with me although he’s my dad’s personal maid’

Aaron sir you were waiting for me right? I think you have something you want to share with me? Jeffrey asked with a silly smile.

Why do you keep calling me sir,you make me look old, don’t forget you’re older than me. Well I wanna share my encounter with a girl with you. I said smiling

I’m sorry Aaron,our trip has been postponed, we’re no longer coming to Manila this year but I have an idea. Why don’t you join us here in the states? He asked

No dad,I don’t wanna go to the states. I love it here in Manila. I said defiantly.

The next day I went looking for her at the sp©t I met her the other day but no sign of her so I went back home but the next day I decided to go to her school when I got there no sign of her so I walked into the school with great struggle but suddenly the security allowed me after knowing am Mr Delma’s only son. Now this is the situation where I would say been rich is good. I walked around the school for awhile and I noticed her from afar then I walked to her.

Hello. I said softly and she turned to my direction.

In two hours time Joan and Patricia arrived at my place.
When they got in,I went behind them and blindfolded Joan. Patricia was about to s¢ræm but I signalled her it was a surprise and she smiled. We drove to the place the p@rty was holding.

My friends have arrived too and Jeff was there alre-ady.

Surprise.! We all shouted as I unblindfold her,she flung her mouth open.

It’s beautiful Aaron. She g@sped out in surprise as a big smile appeared on her face.

Ann meet my best friend Jeffrey. Jeffrey meet Ann. I introduced but they flung their mouth open.

Joan. Jeffrey called out staring her her.

Jeff. Ann called out as well.

Do you know each other? I asked curiously.

He’s my brother Jeffrey. Joan said in surprise.
