“Good Morning Eva! I hope you slept well?
Fred asked with smiles.

“Oh yes! I had a nice sleep”
She replied back with smiles.

“I hope you didn’t have a nightmare again?
He asked being so concerned.

“Not at all! What of Boboy?
She asked looking for Boboy around the room.

“Boboy doesn’t play with food so he has gone to the dinning table already to grab a big quantity of food”
He sounded with smiles.

Eva laughed and said,
“I see! No wonder he got a big tummy at his age”

Fred laughed out and said,
“At his twenty’ s his tummy will be like a heavy pregnant woman”

Eva laughed so uncontrollably,
“You are so funny Fred!
She sounded still laughing.

He smiled and said,
“I will always be here to put smiles on this your beautiful face”
He said and dragged her cheeks.

“Ouch! that’s hurt Fred!
She sounded touching her cheeks.

“But I dragged your cheeks softly”
He sounded and touched her cheek.

“Yeah! it’s still hurt”

He apologized and said,
“Okay,Am sorry,can we now go and have our breakfast”

“For sure,let’s go!
She said and held his hand as they walked out from the room to the dinning.

“Eva and Fred come over here”
Boboy shouted to them.

They saw him and went over,

“See i got three plates for us”
He said and started eating his food hungrily.

“And you took the big one”
Fred sounded.

“Hahahahaha! You know I don’t joke nor play when it comes to food”
He sounded with laughs.

They laughed out,
“I know you are a foodies type”
Fred sounded while laughing.

“Eva will the food be enough for you?
Fred asked staring at her food.

“Oh yes! beside i won’t even finish it”
She sounded and took a spoonful of the Burritos.

“Are you seriously! You can give me some of it”
Boboy speedily said giving her his plate to dish small of her food.

“Boboy don’t be a speedier! Is okay Eva did you want to give him all of your food?
Fred sounded as she was dishing the food to Boboy.

“I can now have this amount”
She said and started eating the food.

He shooked his head with an excitement,
“Thank you so much Eva,Fred if you know you can’t finish the food am here to help you out”
He said devouring the food like someone who have not eaten for the past one week.

Fred tapped his forehead with his hand and sounded,
“Oh mine! Boboy take it easy before the food will choke you”

Eva stops eating and watches Boboy devouring the food.

“You know how much I love Burritos,it’s my best food ever”
He sounded with the food filled in his mouth.

Fred placed his hand on his left cheek staring at him,
“The cook doesn’t know to make Burritos that’s why I don’t like the taste at all,if prepare this Burritos for you I swear Fred you will like me to be preparing it all the time and you Boboy you will finish everything use your tongue to wash the plate”
Eva sounded with smiles as they mopped at her.

“You can cook?
They both asked surprisingly.

“Oh yes! I can cook very well and also bringing up a new recipes you know what I have passion for cooking and my dreams in life is to have my own restaurant and be a well known chef”
She sounded with smiles.

“I can’t believe this that you Eva of eight years can cook”
Boboy sounded.

“I started cooking when I was six years had it been the cook will give me the privilege to cook I will show you all what this my hands are made of”
She said with so much confidence in her.

Fred smiled to her and said,
“I believe you Eva,one day I will taste your food”

She replied back to him with smiles,
“Thank you for believing in me”

“Am still on wondering how a girl of eight years will know how to cook”
Boboy sounded.

“I know that Eva is not lying to us so keep on doubting Mr Thomas”
Fred said.

“I did not say she is lying but I only want to see and believe”
He said.

“Don’t worry Boboy one day I gonna clear off your doubt then you will now believe me”
Eva said.

After the breakfast,the children gathered in a hall for their morning prayer service since it’s Sunday,the service lasted for about an two hours before dismissing,some went to the room to have a nap while some went to play or do any other thing they feel like.

Eva went to meet the cook at the kitchen,
“Good Morning Mrs Matthew”
She greeted her.

“Morning,what are you doing here? You know children are not allow to be in the kitchen”
She said washing out the dishes.

“I know Mrs Mathew!
She replied.

“Then what are you doing in this kitchen?
She asked.

“It just that I love the things of kitchen,I love to help around in the kitchen,I can i help you out in washing the dishes?
She asked going closer to her.

“Hold it there Kid! You have not tell me exactly what you are doing or what you want in this kitchen”
She sounded.

“As I said Mrs Matthew, I love the things of kitchen that’s why am here to help you out in washing the dishes”
She said and wanted to grab the plate.

“Don’t touch! I don’t need your help kid you may now leave the kitchen”
She sounded.

“You need my help Mrs Matthew, the dishes are much how are you going to finish them all?
She asked still insisting of her helping her out.

“Did i complain to you? I have been doing this for years so kid you may now use the door,Goodbye”
She said pointing at the door.

“I won’t go until I have help you out”
She sounded and started rising the plates for her.

“Oh mine! this kid you are so persisting!
She sounded.

“Oh yeah! so allow me to help,thank you”
She sounded with smiles,she was raising and arranging the plates in order.

“What’s your mission Kid? I know there’s a reason for being in this kitchen and this your helping hand”
Mrs Matthew asked knowing fully well there’s something she want.

“Mrs Matthew I want to ask for a favour for you to allow me to cook”
She said staring at her with smiles.

“Allow you to cook!
She sounded surprisingly.

“Yes Matthew,I want to prove to a friend that I can cook very well,please don’t say no”
She pleaded with her hands folded.

She laughed and laughed Eva stared at her and wonder what’s amusing her.

“Can you cook kid?
She asked while laughing.

“Yes,Mrs Matthew I can cook very well”
She said.

She laughed again and asked her,
“How old are you kid?

“Am eight years!
She replied as she laughed out.

“Eight years! You are telling me that you can cook at this age,Oh no Kid! You don’t know what you are saying kid,Did you even know how to boil water Kid?
She sounded finding it so difficult to believe that a girl of eight years will know how to cook.

“See Mrs Matthew I started cooking I was six years,if you give me the opportunity I will prove it to you that can cook very well”
She said trying to convince her.

“Did you want to prepare a purge food or what?
She asked still not convinced by her.

“No Mrs Matthew,is not a purge food,you gonna like what i will prepare, what am asking for is to give the go ahead order I will show you that am very good in cooking,please just say yes”
She pleaded.

She shooked her head and asked,
“Okay what did you want to cook?

“I want to prepare Burritos”
She replied with smiles.

“Burritos! And you think you can cook that food?
She asked.

“Yes Mrs Matthew,I can cook it perfectly well”

“Okay then let’s see the concoction you will make”
She said.

She laughed and said,
“Concoction! No Mrs Matthew it will not be a concoction rather a delicious food”

She laughed without saying other word to her,she wiped her hands with the napkin and said,
“Am done,thank you Mrs Matthew for allowing me to cook,I will be coming in the afternoon to prepare it”

She hugged feeling so excited and ran out from the kitchen.

Meanwhile Fred has been looking for her,they have searched her everywhere especially their favourite place they always stay,they don’t know where else to look for her since she didn’t tell them her whereabouts,They have asked and no one seems to have seen her.

“Boboy are you sure she didn’t tell you where she will be going?
Fred asked being so worried.

“No,she didn’t mention anything to me”
He replied being so worried too.

“What are we going to do now? Where are we going to look for her?
Fred asked with a worried face.

“What if she has been adopted by someone and we didn’t know?
Boboy asked not thinking straight.

“You don’t know what you are saying Boboy,Did you think that Eva will be adopting and she will not tell us?
He asked being so worried and confused.

“Then where could she has gone to? What of those bullies Mark and Gray have her to bully her?
Boboy asked.

“If they do,they have to face me this time,they will not go free from the last time”
He shouted angrily.

“Then let’s go and look for them”
Boboy sounded.

They went out to search for Mark and Gray since they concluded that they will be the one having Eva.

FLASH BACK
Three days ago,Mark and Gray bullied Eva twice,the first bully occurred at the dinning table,they walked in and noticed that Eva was not eating her food and she was alone waiting for her friends,they collected her food she shouted for them to realised the food but they laughed the hell out of her.

They poured the food on theirs, she went back to her chair crying,Fred and Boboy came and asked her the reason behind her cry,she told them everything.

Fred confronted them with so much anger,he shouted at them and told them that if they bully Eva again he will not take it likely with them,Fred shared his food with her.

The second bully happened at their favourite place,They only bully her whenever she is alone and this time they took her necklace.

“They are here to bully me again!
Eva shouted be scared,she hates bullies and always scared of bully boys.

They approached to her,
“Who got this damn necklace?
Gray asked flickering the necklace on her face.

She touched her neck and the necklace is not there,
“That’s my necklace! How did you get it? Give it to me”
She shouted.

She rushed to get the necklace from him,Gray raised up his hand.

“Come and take it”
Mark shouted.

She tried to reach his hand but couldn’t due to Gray is bigger and taller than her,Gray threw the necklace to Mark she will rushed to get it from him,he will threw it back to Gray,they were laughing and using her to play.

“Please give me back my necklace!
She pleaded.

They were playing with her until Fred and Boboy rushed them.

“Gray!
Fred shouted angrily and gave him a punch on the cheek,the necklace fall off his hand,Eva rushed and picked it.

“Have I not warned you too to stay away from Eva and stop bullying her”
He shouted angrily.

“How dare you to punch me!
He shouted angrily and punched him back.

They started fighting,Boboy tried to separate them meanwhile Mark rushed out to infrom Mrs Santo Domingo who is a strict disciplinarian.

“Mrs Santo,Fred is beating up Gray!
He shouted at her.

“Where are they?
She asked.

“At the garden!
He shouted.

They rushed to the garden and were still fighting,
“What is going on here?
She shouted at them as they separated themselves form the fight.

“Is all this fault Mrs Santo I was on my own and he and his friend came to fight me”
Gray lied.

“Is a lie Mrs Santo,Gray was bullying my friend”
Fred shouted.

“You two should meet me in my office for a proper explanation”
She shouted at them.

They followed her to her office while Boboy,Eva and Mike wait outside the office.

They gave their own explanation on what happened,Gray said the opposite of it all and she believed him.

He was given punishment to wash all the toilets for three days since he break the rules and regulations of the Orphange of fighting.

“Am sorry look at what I made you to do,it’s all my fault that you have to wash all the toilets for three days”
Eva apologised feeling so sorry for him.

“Who said is your fault? Is those damn bastard fault and they must pay for this”
He shouted angrily.

“Dude you know fully well that fighting is against the rules and regulations of this place and those kids only want to put you into trouble”
Boboy said.

“Mark and Gray knows how to get people on their nerves,I hate it so much when they bully Eva”
He shouted angrily.

“Now you have to wash all the toilets for three days”
Boboy sounded.

“Don’t worry we will help you to wash it so it will be easy for you”
Eva said.

“Yeah we will help you okay”
Boboy added.

“Thank you Eva!
He hugged her with smiles.

“You won’t hug me? Is it because am not Eva?
Boboy sounded pretending to be jealous.

“Come here dude! Thank you nigga!
He hugged him too.

FLASH BACK END
“If anything happen to Eva they won’t go free this time,I don’t care the punishment I will get”
Fred shouted angrily as they walked to look for Gray and Mike.

“We must deal with them,show them a lesson so that they will stop bullying people”
Boboy shouted and grabbed a stick along.

As they were going Eva approached them,
“Where are they going with this angry faces?
She asked confusingly.

“Where is that bastard? Tell us where are they are we must deal with them”
Fred shouted angrily.

“What are you talking about? Which bastard?
She asked still confused.

“Gray and Mike, I know they are the ones that took you,we must deal with them this time”
Boboy shouted.

“Tell us where they are? Did they hurt you? Did they touch you in anywhere?
Fred shouted angrily checking all over her body to see if he will find any bruises.

“You guys should calm down,nobody took me”
She said.

“Nobody took you then where were you?
Fred asked.

“I was coming out from the kitchen”

Boboy sighed and threw the stick,
“I thought those bastard took you away”

“Why didn’t you tell us Eva? Did you know we were sick and worried about you?
Fred said sadly.

“Am sorry Guys,I don’t mean to get you people like this”
She apologized.

“You should have infrom us then making us to think that something bad has happen to you,Did you know how worried I was with this negative thoughts running over my mind?
Fred sadly said.

“I said am sorry Fred,I won’t do it again,you know I don’t like when you are angry with me”
She apologized again.

Boboy stood there mopping at them talking like a husband and wife.

“Don’t try this next time!
He said without smiling.

“I promise I won’t do it again,please will you smile for me”
She said and softly dragged his cheek as he laughs.

“Yeah! That’s what I want from you”
She sounded with smiles.

Boboy shooked his head and said,
“Oh mine! Look at how you two are behaving like husband and wife”

They laughed out,Fred held her hand as they walked to their usual s₱0t.

“So tell me Eva what did you want to the kitchen to do?
Fred asked as they sat on the swing.

“I went to ask Mrs Matthew her permission to allow me to cook”
She said smiling.

“So did she grant you the permission?

“Yes,she did!
She shouted feeling so excited.

“So Eva you are serious when you said you want to cook?
Boboy asked her.

“Off course I was serious and I gonna prove it to you that can cook very well”
She said happily.

Boboy laughed and said,
“I can’t wait to see the purge food you will cook”

“Okay you gonna see the delicious food I will prepare”
She said.

At noon,Eva rushed down to the kitchen to prepare the food,she told Fred and Boboy to wait for her at the dinning.

“Good afternoon Mrs Matthew!
She greeted happily.

Mrs Mathew thought she won’t come back,
“So this kid you are very serious with this your cooking thing?
She asked.

She gave her a happily smile and brought out all the ingredients she need,Mrs Matthew sat down watching her as she begins with her cooking.

Twenty minutes later,She is done with the food,
“Am done you can have a taste of it Mrs Matthew”

“Done already!
She sounded so surprisingly.

“Yeah! Come and have a taste”

She stood up and checked the food,
“It’s looks delicious! I hope the way it’s looking will be the same way it will taste?
She asked.

“Have a taste and confirm!

She took a little of it,
“Oh mine this is so delicious Eva!
She sounded and took another spoonful of it.

“This is so unbelievable! How eight years old kid like you will cook so well like this”
She said enjoying the food.

“Thank you so much Mrs Matthew,Am glad you like it”
She sounded happily.

“It’s so yummy! I love it,who taught you how to cook at this your age?

“Nobody taught me,I can say I have talent of cooking”
She replied dishing out for Fred and Boboy.

“Are you serious! You must be a great chef if you pursue this your talent”
She said.

“Thank you so much Mrs Matthew,that’s my great dream of becoming a chef”
She said and took the food out to give her friends.

Mrs Matthew shooked her head and sounded,
“Wow! Wow and Wow! What a kid! She will indeed make a great chef”

“Am done with the food guys”
She said and passed the food to Boboy and Fred,she took her own.

Boboy stared at the food without rushing it,
“I hope this concoction food will not make me to purge”
He said.

“Taste and see!
She gave her a simple answer.

Fred took a spoonful of the burritos and shooked his food.

“How is the food?
Boboy asked.

“This is so yummy! Over delicious! Eva you can cook like this?
He shouted and took another spoonful of the burritos.

“Are you sure?
Boboy asked.

“See for yourself!
Fred said.

Boboy took a little of it and shouted,
“Oh mine! Oh mine! Eva where did you learn to cook so delicious like this?
He asked and started devouring the food.

“Nowhere! the cooking is in me!
She said and started eating her own.

“This is so superb! I will be having this everyday”
Fred said with smiles.

“Even me too Eva,this so delicious,sweeter than the one they prepare here”
Boboy said.

“As long as the cook grant me the permission I will be preparing it for you guys and even other delicious meal”
She happily said.

After the food,they couldn’t stop talking about the food Eva prepared.

A MONTH LATER
It has been a month now,nobody has come to adopt Eva nor Boboy even Mrs Sarah Perez have not come for Fred.

Aunt Cantu and her daughter always pay Eva a visit,they never miss visiting her once in a week with a lot of goodies.

On Monday morning,Mrs Sarah Perez came for Fred,to take him home.

Mrs Santo Domingo sent her worker to get Fred,She went to their usual s₱0t at the garden.

“Fred your mother is here!
She said to him.

“Your mother!
Eva and Boboy shouted being so astonished.
