The two female cops urge her to come along careful, she try controlling the pain, but the pain was so intense that she couldn’t help but scre-m. They met the doctor an a nurse on the way and they all support her to come into the ward were she is gonna deliver her baby.

Grace was breathing heavily. She lay on the bed about to deliver. The pain was intense and she kept on scre-ming.

” Okay, when I say push you push” the doc urge

” Now push ” the doc command.

“Arrrah ” she scre-med and pushed

” Push again the baby is almost out ” the doc said.

Soon the baby came out crying and just as she was about to sigh in relief, she felt another baby coming through. She scre-med again.

The doc handle over the baby to the nurse quickly and ask Grace to push.
Weakly, Grace push out with the left over strength she had.

The baby came out crying. Grace sigh in exhaustion.

” Congratulation, it’s a boy and a girl ” the doc announce with a smile.

Grace would’ve jump for joy, hadn’t been she was not exhausted. She manage to smile, but in,side her heart was full of ecstasy.
Not just one, but two, double happiness.

Dace and Mandy was watching a home movie when Mandy’s phone rang. The phone was lying on the next couch and she picked it up and saw it was the number from the prison and knew it might be Grace.

She answered the call and it wasn’t Grace’s voice, it was a cop.

” I call to inform you that your friend Grace Jesse as giving birth, she need you ” the cop informed and ended the call.

Mandy was so joyful, she squealed. Her husband arched a brow and stood up to meet her happy face.

” What good news do you’ve now. Lemme me guess have Grace giving birth already ” Dace shrug.

” Whoa , sweety how did you guess that ” she ask in surprise.

Dace shrugged and grinned a little.

” I knew coz the months have being completed, and you said it yourself yesterday, ‘ Grace is due, she is gonna deliver her baby very soon ‘ ” he replied.

“Oh wow, honey you’re a genius, let’s go now, I can’t wait to see the baby ” Mandy squealed excitedly again

They went to their car and drove off to the prison.

#The_station hospital

” oh my God ” Mandy exclaimed as her eyes w¡den with surprise.
She saw two cradle and saw a baby sleeping peacefully on one and another baby in Grace’s hand, when she enter the room with Dace.

She was unable to speak and mouth drop and eyes was w¡den.

Grace chuckled softly and smile at her.

” Yes, they are twins” Grace replied her surprised glance.

“I can’t believe it ” Mandy trilled and took the other baby lying on the cradle. She careful pick the baby,in other not to awake him.

She coo the baby and smile at the baby cuteness.

” The one in your hands is the female, and the one in my hands is a male ” Grace told Mandy.

” wow, a baby girl and a boy ” Mandy replied.

” So who’s older ” she ask.

” The male ” Grace replied

She sat closer to Grace.

” Congratulations to you Grace, and am happy you want to give us the privilege to become parents too as we can’t able to have children ” Dace spoke after being silent for awhile.

Grace smile faded into a forlorn face. She became unhappy, after hearing that. Mandy notice her sudden change mood.

” What wrong dear ” she pored.

” It’s nothing, just that I wouldn’t be able to be with my children always. I will be seeing them ones in awhile. How I wish I can be by their side, take good care of them. But that won’t happen. And worse of all is that am gonna be denied of being with them for twenty years. ” Grace said woefully, a tear came from her eye.

Mandy stood up and put the baby on the cradle. She came back and sat back. She suffer Grace hair, feeling pitiful for her friend.

” Don’t worry Grace will make sure that they will know that you’re their mother. I’ll always bring them to visit you okay ” Mandy solace.

Grace close her eyes and open up them. Pain clutched tighter to her heart.

” No Mandy, no” Grace rebuff.

Mandy glance at her confusedly.

“What do you mean ” Mandy ask

Grace sighed.

” I don’t want my children to identify me as their mum. I want to put them as far away from me, don’t get me wrong I just want them to have a happy life. They shouldn’t be free for me. I want my children to experience a good life, my life is full of suffering right from childhood. I don’t want my children to have a taste of such a life. You shouldn’t relieve to them that am their real mum ” Grace stated as tears roll from her eyes.

” What are you saying ” Mandy said with shock.

” Mandy please, this is what I want, I have made my decision” Grace pointed out.

” But they deserve to know” Mandy replied.

” I know they deserve to know. But letting them know their mother is in jail for a crime she never committed will affect them through out they grow. I want to free them from any pain as possible. I know you and Dace will take good care of them. You both her the nicest people I come across. I can’t regret giving both of you my children. Please respect my decision ” Grace said.

“Oh Grace ” Mandy embraced her, careful not to hurt the baby that was in Grace’s hand. Mandy sniffed. She wish she could free her friend from the pain as possible.

“But I want one thing from you”Grace requested.

” what’s that ” Mandy inquired.

” I want my children photos very year, any photo you take them I want it, you can send them to me. That is the only thing I demand from you ” Grace said look at Mandy eye ball to eye ball.

“Of course Mandy, we will” Mandy promised.

The baby in her arms was fast asleep. She smile at him.

“So what name have you decided to call them” Mandy enquired curiously.

” Arthur and Alsyaa ” she replied..

” Whoa dear, what a nice name you make up with” Mandy remarked.

” Arthur sounds perfect for the male and also Alsyaa sound perfect for the female too. What a lovely name for a lovely children ” Mandy trilled.

“God above will strength you, you just have to believe in him” Dace spoked to Grace.

“He as giving me a double blessing, I thought he as forgetting about me ” Grace said woefully.

” oh dear Grace, the lord above can never forget anyone. He loves everyone, he makes them go through difficult times coz he as install bigger things for those. Just continue to have fate in him ” Mandy said and Grace force a smile.

Fast forward.

Grace was allowed to spend time with her kids of two weeks. After two weeks, she handle over her babies to Mandy and Dace. It was very hærd for Grace, but there was no other option.

She cried when her kid left. She curse and blame herself for not living Jesse earlier. If only she would’ve listen to Lacey when she told her to go far away from her husband.

Maybe she will be happy with her children someone else. But now this is her fate.

#One_month_later.

A cop came to inform Grace that her friends are looking for her.
She came to the room were they will meet.

It was Mandy and Dace of course with the two babies. Mandy carried one and Dace carried the other.

The look on their face was like someone who wanted to deliver a bad news.

“Grace we have bad news ” Mandy announce tearfully.

Grace heart beat faster as she was anxious to know what the bad news is.
