Kathryn’s POV

After ignoring Kevin for days, Melissa finally told me to forgive him. He was looking skinny and unkempt and I reasoned with her that if I didn’t forgive him, things might get complicated and I won’t be able to handle the outcome.

I went outside and opened the gate to see him still seated on the floor. This time, he didn’t have the strength to stand up so he just sat there and stared at me helplessly.

The way he looked lifeless almost made me cry. Did I really make him this way? I hurriedly called on my staffs to take him in and attend to him which was done in about an hour.

He was placed on bed rest for a few hours before I finally went in to meet him. I wonder how I’ll be able to face him after what I’ve done though.

I sat slowly on the chair that was by the bed and bowed my head in embarrassment. He must be staring at me right?

“I’m….”
“I’m…” we said at the same time and a dead silence followed. It feels so awkward right now

“You go first” I finally summoned up the courage to speak

“What I’m going to say is just going to be like what I’ve been saying for the past few days.

I want you to know that I’m really sorry and that I regret my actions a lot. I swear on my life that I won’t ever be a playboy again and I’ll always treat ladies with respect” he said while I took a deep breath

“It’s fine! You’ve apologized countless times already so there’s no need for that anymore. Instead, I’m sorry for not listening to your apologies earlier and for making you go through a lot” I mumbled

“Don’t say that please! I deserve everything you did and I never expected you to forgive me so soon. What I did was something unforgivable and the fact that you forgave me alone is more than enough for me. Thank you Diana” he said with a smile

“Diana was my real name right?” I asked

“Yes. You were the reason why i was alive and the moment I heard you were dead, my soul died and I started misbehaving. I’m really sorry” he apologized again

“If you keep apologizing like this, I’m just going to withdraw my forgiveness” I threatened

“Fine, I won’t say sorry again”

“I prefer Diana to Kathryn. It’s so beautiful and cool, do you think I should change my name?” I asked blinking my eyes cutely

“Sure! I won’t even address you as Kathryn whether you change it or not. You will always be Diana to me” he said and I blushed hærd

“I think this is the reason why ladies are always around you. Every word you say sounds different” I giggled

Writer’s POV

*A month later*

It’s been a month since Mitchell became the heiress of the Campbells alongside Chris who made himself known to the public as the new heir of the Rodriguez.

They moved out of the mansion just a week after Mitchell became the heiress and ever since then, they’ve made so many profits and contributions and their businesses have continued to grow over the month.

Their companies are currently the top one and they won an award for world best couple just a few days back.

Mitchell’s father that was once the most hated son of the family became the most respected and loved child. They hated him for always being at the top but seeing his daughter also taking after him, they decided to start giving him the respect he deserves.

Mitchell and Chris announced their official wedding after explaining the circumstances surrounding their marriage to the public. The people seemed to like them even more for falling in love through a contract.

Robert found out everything about Kathryn and he pitied her for going through a lot from such a young age. He vowed to take care of her and love her for as long as he was alive.

They got engaged before Kathryn decided to take a short vacation after which their wedding was going to hold.

She just wanted to spend more time with her brother, Kevin and also use that opportunity to make time for herself.

The D-Day for Mitchell and Chris is finally here. Mitchell wore a beautiful sleeveless bridal ball gown. It had a sweetheart neckline and it fitted so perfectly, making her look like an angel.

Chris stood at the altar in his tuxedo, patiently waiting for her to get to him. He couldn’t control himself and didn’t wait for the priest before pulling her into a deep k×ss.

The wedding soon started in earnest but it was kept as short as possible because of Chris. Although, that wasn’t their first wedding but this particular wedding was different.

The first wedding was just based on paper but this was based on true feelings and emotions.

They had a r-mantic night and lived happily ever after.
