I looked to Brian and the rest and they were panicking as well.

One could see the huge smirk plastered on Mr George’s face.

I hope they haven’t done anything to Dora.

“the…. ” the Buenevistas lawyer was saying but trailed off when Dora and doc Steve walked in.

I heaved a sigh of relief and smiled broadly.

I couldn’t loose this chanced sending them to jail.

Fernando isn’t even here.

Dora was called out and she confessed everything on helping she poisoned my mom.

She said the Buenevistas had threatened her and that was why she was forced to do it.

“if you don’t mind, the doctor who treated Mrs Grande is even here ” Dora blurted out and that was when I knew why doc Steve came.

Does walked out and doc Steve was called out.

He said the truth and how the Buenevistas bribed him to lie it was heart attack instead of poison.

After the case, we were the one with the upper hand and the Buenevistas were sentence to life in prison.

I smiled at a job well done and got up to my team.

Fernando was at the verge of crying just looking at his parents.

He rushed to his grandpa and hugged him.

He did same to his mother as well.

The cops stood behind me George and Beatrice like the criminal they were so they wouldn’t try anything stupid.

Mr George turned and smirked at me.

So he’s still got the heart to smirk Huh?

“there’s something behind you ” he told one of the cops and when he cop looked back, Mr George snatched the gun from his wa-ist line where he had pocket it and shot it at me.

I felt the bullet hit me in my stomach and fell on the floor.

“Lanna ” Brian and the rest called, shaking me.

“drop the gun ” I heard the cops say.

My vision was blurry but I could still see them.

~ Brian ~

That bastard snatched the cops gun and shot Lanna in the stomach.

She collapsed to the floor still conscious, slowly loosing air.

“drop the gun ” the cops told Mr George as the remaining cops pointed their guns at him.

Mr George laughed, still pointing the gun at our direction.

This old man as gone bonkers.

“grandpa please drop the gun” Rinaldo begged.

Mr George cracked the gun again and just when he wanted to pull the trigger, the cops shot him in the chest.

“no! ” Rinaldo yelled and ran to his grandpa in tears.

“grandpa please don’t die ” he cried and laid Mr George’s head on his laps.

“no son, I can’t afford to spend my life in prison and I just hope that Tatiana die ” he blurted out and I looked at Tatiana.

Her eyes were closed and her breathing was slowing down.

“already called the ambulance ” Leo said.

We all watched as Mr George gave up the ghost.

Rinaldo cried and hugged him.

Beatrice was crying too as she stared at her father’s lifeless body.

She gently squatted and before we could make out her move, she picked up the gun.

Leo and I shielded Lanna and we heard the gun shot.

We have each other a look cause we didn’t feel anything.

We looked back to see her on true floor.

She had shot herself in the head.

Good for them, they killed themselves and now there would be freedom on Manila.

No more Buenevistas, no more fear.

I touched Lanna’s neck to feel her pulse but it wasn’t there and I jerked up.

“the ambulance is taking too long, we have to get her to the hospital ” I said and Leo nodded.

Leo carried her to the car and we drove to the hospital.

She was laid on the stretcher and taken to the ICU.

Faye and Fernando came rushing in and I wondered how they knew cause they weren’t present in the court.

“where’s Tatiana ” he asked.

“in the ICU ” I replied and he ran his hands through his hair.

“Rinaldo told me ” he said as if he was reading our thoughts.

Faye just stood there like a statue who was fighting an inner battle.

She wanted to break down but Leo caught her in time.

He said women irritates him but I’ve seen how he looks at Faye and how he wants to protect her especially when Melanie kidnapped her.

He loves her but he thinks he’s betraying Lanna so he doesn’t wanna admit it.

He just needs someone to convince him that falling in love again isn’t a sin.

Leo made Faye sit down and he turned to leave but Faye held his hand.

Just then I sighted the doc so Fernando and I rushed to him.

“how’s she doc ” I asked.

“we don’t know for now, the bullet went deep and it’s very dangerous, the surgery is still on and we just hope she survives” He said and left.

Fernando broke down in tears and I sat beside him.

“I just got her back” he whispered and hugged him.

~ Faye ~

As Leo turned to leave, I held his and he stopped.

“why do you hate me ” I asked and he sighed.

“I don’t hate you ” he said softly.

“then why do you always avoid me like I smell or something ” I asked.

“you don’t smell bad okay? You smell good ” He said.

“but why do you act like you hate me sometimes and then sometimes look at me with so much love and care in your eyes ” I asked.

He closed his eyes and looked away.

“it’s OK of you don’t wanna tell me but just know that I love you. If you don’t love me back, it’s OK too cause I can’t force love ” I said and let go of his hand.

He still stood there, looking at me though I had let go of his hand.

He stared at me without blinking and it was starting to get awkward.

He sighed again and walked away.

I looked to Fernando and saw him on the floor with Brian.

I just hope and pray my dear Lanna survives.

Just then all the doc who were in the ICU, came out and the last one brought Laban out.

She was laid on the stretcher, unconscious as she was moved to a ward.

The doc said we couldn’t see her.

We’ve lost two people today and I don’t want Lanna to join.

Mr George which is my grandpa is gone and Beatrice, my mom too.

Why did they have to kill themselves?

I just hope they rest in peace this time.

Hours passed by and finally the doc said we could see Lanna.

~ Leo ~

We all went in after the doc told us we could see her.

“Tatiana ” Fernando called softly and sat beside her.

He took her hand and k-ssed it.

Tears were in her eyes as they pour down from the corner of her eyes.

She gently removed the oxygen from her mouth and sighed.

“Leo ” she called softly.

“remember our discussion ” she asked and we all nodded.

When I mean all, I meant Johanna, Brian and I.

Tatiana had told is that after the revenge, all the funds that we’ve taken from the Buenevistas would be returned back to their rightful owners.

We’ll give Sasha balcony her funds and we’ll give Faye the land back.

All the funds that we collected on Rinaldo’s treatment will be donated out as charity to homeless kids and everyone who needs help.

The Buenevistas company which had closed down, Lanna will help them rebuild it and they would all handle it.

Sasha, Faye, Rinaldo, Debbie and if Fernando wants to join too.

Tatiana’s sole aim was to bring down Mr George and Beatrice and she did but I just hope she’s doesn’t go with them.

“I want you to do it, return everything and do it as we had planned cause I don’t think I can ” she whispered.

“no Tatiana, you have to live cause you won, we won ” I said.

I didn’t know when tears slid down my cheeks.

It’s been years I’ve spent with Tatiana and I need no one to tell me how kindhearted she is.

Someone like her is to be cherished and I can’t bear to loose her.

“Fernando ” she called softly, her breathing coming out in p-nts.

~ Fernando ~

I held Tatiana’s hand and let the tears pour freely.

“Tatiana please stay for me, for all of us and for your dad ” I begged.

“and for your son too ” the girl, Johanna said.

Son?

She has a son? Does that mean she’s remarried?

Her breathing calm a little at the mention of her son.

“Fernando I… Our… ” she stuttered as she struggled to breathe again.

I fixed the oxygen back but it worsened.

Her chest popped in and put as she struggled to breathe.

“no Tatiana, please stay for me ” I begged.

I pressed the red button and waited for the doc to come in.

Please stay for me.
