~ Faye ~

I looked to Leo to see him staring at me but when our eyes met, he looked away.

“we’ve given the Buenevistas a lot of time and now is time for them to face the law ” Lanna said and I sighed.

“yeah your right ” I said.

“Lanna, they’re are my family and I can’t go against them neither am I gonna support them nor am I gonna go against them. I won’t support them but I won’t cover their sins. You can bring them them to law but I won’t help you, I’m sorry ” I said.

“it’s OK Faye, the only thing that matters is that you understand and you’re on the right track “Lanna said and I smiled.

She pulled me into a hug and I held her tight.

I pulled away, waved then bye and before leaving.

~ Tatiana ~

After Faye left, we went to the meeting room.

“I’m gonna fly my dad to USA for better treatment ” I said as I took my seat.

“Johanna book my dad’s ticket to USA and Leo get our lawyer ready ” I said and they nodded.

“I’ll file a case against the Buenevistas so Brian, get well our evidences ready ” I said and he nodded.

Johanna walked out to book the ticket, Leo went out to get the lawyer ready while Brian and I set the proves we had.

After setting everything, Brian and I walked out, boarded our car and drove to the station.

Time to file a case against them.

~ Fernando ~

I woke up the next day and felt Myer beside me.

I cussed and laid back down on the bed.

I forgot we didn’t go home last night, I brought Myer here to the farm house.

This was where I first had Tatiana.

I closed my eyes as those memories refreshed in my head.

I wanted to stay in bed all day but I had to get Myer to school and I had to see Tatiana.

I miss her already and I have to protect her from my family.

I got out of bed, woke Myer up and bathed her.

I dressed her up in the same clothe and I went to freshen up.

I dressed up and we boarded the car then drove home.

We arrived and alighted.

We met everyone in the sitting room and they seemed tensed.

Faye was with a crush and her leg was bandaged.

What hell happened? Melanie seemed tensed as well.

I wonder what happened.

I wanted to ask but I had to get Myer to school.

I took Myer upstairs and dressed her up for school.

I combed her hair and styled.

I took her to the dining and had the maid prepare her breakfast.

After she was down eating, I wiped the food again off her l-ips and we turned to leave.

The doorbell rang and Melanie got it.

Two police men walked in and I arched an eyebrow.

What’s going on?

The cops walked in and stood in the middle.

“this is a case against Mr George and Beatrice Buenevista. They’re under arrest for the murder of Teresa Grande, attempted murder of Tatiana, Mr Gustavo and Mr Juan and also for embezzling the shares of Mr Juan in business ” the cop said.

“you have the right to an attorney ” he added.

“shall we ” he asked.

Grandpa and mom stood up then walked out with the cops.

I looked to Melanie and saw her shaking.

She was trembling real bad like someone who was caught in a bad act.

“honey, the driver would take you to school today okay ” I said and Myer nodded.

I called one of the drivers and he took Myer out.

I held Melanie’s hand and dragged her up to our room.

“do you have anything to say ” I asked sternly.

“talk ” I yelled and she flinched.

“I.. I” she stuttered, still trembling.

“what did you do ” I asked.

I know why she’s like this.

She’s afraid a case would be filed against her for killing the real father of Myer cause the video is with Lanna.

“you know you’re not the father of Myer right ” she asked and I closed my eyes in pain.

“you don’t have to remind me how foolish I was for believing a liar like you “I seethed.

“I.. I kil…I killed Ken, the real father for Myer ” she blurted out and started crying.

“I didn’t want to but he forced me, he wouldn’t stop blackmailing me ” she cried.

“you took away his right to father Myer and then you killed him ” I said as she cried.

“I wonder why Lanna didn’t file a case against you cause you’re not a human as well” I said.

“I really don’t want to, trust me I’m regretting it. I can’t believe I killed a human. I know I’ve not been the best wife nor mother nor a good human but I’ve never killed before and now I’m feeling guilty ” she cried.

I didn’t wanna believe her but the truth was clearly visible in her eyes.

She regrets it all.

“I wanted to stay with you forever ” she cried.

“but now I know you aren’t meant for me and I’m ready to let you go ” she said and I felt kinda happy.

It means she’ll let Tatiana and I be.

I pulled her into a hug and she cried more in my arms.

“I’m sorry ” she kept repeating.

Though Melanie had done lots of wrong things in her life, she’s still my best friend and I still love her.

“it’s OK, what matters is that you recognise your mistakes ” I said.

I pulled away and wiped her tears.

“I’ll sign the divorce papers ” she blurted out.

I slowly nodded with a small smile.

“and Myer ” I asked.

The thought of letting Myer go is really killing me.

She smiled.

“I can’t let her stay with you but I’ll still come take her to live with me. We’ll be sharing the month, she’ll live with you for a while then with me then with you and when she’s old enough, I’d tell her everything ” she said and I nodded.

“thank you so much ” I said and she smiled.

“I’ll get the divorce papers ready myself ” she said and I chuckled.

“OK ” I said and walked out.

I have to go see Tatiana.

I picked up my car keys and walked out.

~ George ~

We called out lawyer and everything would be settled I hope.

Though Lanna is suing us to court but I know we’d win cause she doesn’t have witnesses.

The court hearing would be the day after tomorrow.

I can see Lanna is in haste to lock us up but she won’t succeed.

I really miss Rinaldo a lot and before anything happens, I want to see him.

We are already bankrupt but I trust Steve would treat my grandson.

We were locked up and I just sat at a corner.

Beatrice was locked up in the females cell.

Just few days and we’d be out.

~ Tatiana ~

We already filed a case against them.

I only filed a case against Beatrice and Mr George cause they’re the root to all the evils.

I know Rinaldo is involved in all their bad deeds but once the root is gone, he’d change.

His grandpa and mom are the one behind his bad behavior and once they’re behind bars, he’d see life differently.

The doorbell rang and when Johanna got it, Fernando came in.

I smiled and ran into his arms.

Since the day he knew Myer wasn’t his, he didn’t come back and I’ve missed him.

Early tomorrow morning, dad would leave for USA.

Fernando almost jumped out of his skin when he saw dad alive.

He knelt beside dad and held his hand.

He was so happy.

I sat beside dad and decided to ask him how he survived the bomb blast.

He was clearly in the house when the bomb blew and I don’t think it’s possible to survive that.

“dad, how did you survive the bomb blast cause you were still in the house when it blew ” I said.

He gently sat up while Fernando and I opened our ears.

“I wasn’t in the house ” he said and Fernando and I have each other a look.

“when I went in to take Teresa’s photo, I saw a guy in the house. I think he was the one who planned the bomb. He tried running out but I locked the door.

I could hear the bomb beeping.

It remained few secs for us to get out of the house. He tried escaping but I wouldn’t let him. Just when the bomb was 4 seconds, I pushed him and tried jumping out from the window but the bomb exploded and flew me put through the window but the guy never came out ” he explained.

“how was the guy ” Fernando asked.

“he was huge and bulky, kinda dark with black hair ” dad said.

“it’s Philip, he’s one of grandpa’s bodyguard though he want missing for years. Now I know, he was the one I buried thinking it was you ” Fernando said.

“I’ll have to set everything right and remove your name ” he said.

The day flew by very fast and it was now time for dad to leave for USA.

I drove him to the airport and after exchanging goodbyes, he boarded the plane and left.

Dad Enrique would handle him cause either already informed him.

Dad couldn’t wait to see his grandson when I told him.

I wonder if I should tell Fernando about his son now.

I would but not now.

I went home and we spent the day planning on the hearing tomorrow.

Fernando was getting his divorce with Melanie who willingly let him go.

I knew Melanie would regret her deeds.

The day finally went by and it was time for the hearing at court.

I told doctor Steve to give Rinaldo an injection to wear off the sedation.

He has to be present in court.

At least he should see his parents before they rot in jail.

Brian, Johanna, Leo, Mr Juan and I boarded the car and headed to the court.

we had the video with us too.

We arrived and I alighted from the car.

“Lanna” I heard my name.

I knew right away it was Rinaldo cause that was his tone.

I’ve missed him too.

He truly loves me but I just used him.

He doesn’t love the real me, he loves Lanna Delacruz.

He walked up to me and hugged me.

“it’s good to see you alive and healthy ” I said and he smiled.

“but why did you file a case against my parents ” he asked.

“cause they’ve done a lot of bad deeds and they need to face the law ” I replied.

I’d tell him everything but now isn’t the time.

He had a mixed expression but I smile at him and we walked in,side the court.

The criminals were brought into the court and it started.

My lawyer presented the video when they wanted to kill Mr Juan and how they confessed to their deeds with their own mouth.

I showed them the DNA and my finger print which shows I’m truly Tatiana Grande.

Rinaldo was shocked and guilt was etched all over his face.

Mr Juan testified against them and the part of attempted murder of Mr Juan was accepted.

Though they confessed to their crimes with their mouth, the court still demanded a witness to testify against them on Teresa Grande murder.

I was staring to get scared cause we did have a witness which is Dora.

We agreed to meet here but she isn’t here yet and I wonder why.

Did she change her mind to testify against them or did something happen to her?
