Anne’s POV
“Anne how was it possible that you are a hawker? How?? Explain to me?” Drake started up a discussion immediately as we drove off to school,
I sighed and glances at his face and could see it full of compassion and care,
“You will not understand okay?” I said with a shrug,
“There is no how complicated it would be that would be hærd for me to understand, tell me, I can be of help” he said and I arched my brow to him,
“Why are you suddenly concerned about me, we hasn’t known each other anywhere, just once, so how are you now treating me like I am your girlfriend” I said with a squeezed face and he let out a lopsided smile and kept quiet looking straight to the road, he was just smiling sheepishly,
“You haven’t reply my question?” I coaxed and his smile deepened
“I’ll tell you later, but is there anything going on between you and Jeremy?” He asked and I threw a straight stare at him,
“Why do you want to know?” I asked with a squeezed face
“For some reason best known to me.. so is Jeremy…”
“I can’t reply you that question because I’m confused, I’m not yet sure of anything but it is likely that I don’t have anything to do with Jeremy” I said and his smile went w¡der..
“I pray there is nothing going on” he mused to himself smiling sweetly
“What are you thinking?” I questioned and he shook his head
“I’ll tell you later but for now try to know your stand with Jeremy” he said and I exhaled heavily,
My heart became heavy again, what is my stand with Jeremy???
We both drove in straight to the car park and halted,
“Wait here, let me get you a new uniform or would you like to take a bath?” He asked
“I’ve taken my bath, just go and get the cloth” I said and rest my head backward on the head rest..
He hopped out and ran off to get the cloth..
“Why was he running to get the cloth for me??” I shrugged and shut my eyes in thought,
“Why can’t I just hate Jeremy, loving him hurts me”
“Take it and wear” I heard Drake’s voice and I opened my eyes and saw him stretching out a new uniform to me with his sweet smile which made his dimple visible, I peered at his face and saw vividly how handsome and hot he looks, I smiled and took it from him,
I shut the door and whinned up the glass, I quickly changed and opened the door, I was looking so great with the uniform, it really fit me well, immediately I walked out, Drake fixed his eyes on me with an expression I couldn’t even ascertain,
“You look stunning?” He muttered gazing at me
“Thanks, let’s go” I mumbled and started heading to the class without waiting for him, I’m just so anxious to see Jeremy..
I had just taken up to ten pace forward when I felt someone hold my palm softly, I turned and found Drake,
“Why are you holding me?” I questioned and he smiled
“Because I feel like” he replied and I breathed heavily
“Can you please leave me, I’ll not like Jeremy to see us this way” I croaked and he nodded then left to his knows where
I felt my body shiver a little as I head to the class, I was afraid of what I would see or what I would come across, Jeremy is no longer my man,
I reached the door post and took a deep sigh before opening the door, just immediately, everyone eyes fell on me, there were a lot of murmuring, I looked around and saw Lisa and David seating together chatting happily like a newly married couple, I turned my gaze and saw Jeremy with Sophia, they are both staring at me and I could see the hatred in Sophia’s eyes, but deep in,side Jeremy’s eyes there was pure love and passion,
I took a step forward and went straight to where Lisa and Dave was,
“Hello Anne what’s going on?” They both threw their question at me on unison
I just kept quiet and bend my head on the desk.
“Has Jeremy left you for that bitch?” Lisa huffed and I shook my head,
“I know this is what would happen? Sophia and Jeremy are betrothed” Dave said slowly and I raised my head
“If Jeremy love me won’t he stand by me, why is he hurting me? Is it a crime that we met? What did I do to deserve this from him?” I muffled
“If he is too weak to fight why not take it up and show him your strength, there is no doubt he loves you but he is weak and tied down” Dave said and I glanced at Jeremy and saw him staring at me ignoring Sophia who was saying some incoherent.
I looked away and turned back to Dave,
“What do you want me to do?” I asked.
“Go and seat at the other side of Jeremy, he still needs you, give him the morale to stand by you” Dave said and I nodded and stood up,
As I walked forward to Jeremy, Sophia kept a straight glare at me,
“Hello Jeremy, you look pale, what’s troubling you?” I asked in a cheerful voice as I took a seat beside him
He stared at me with surprise and amazement before letting out a huge smile
“Thanks for seating with me” he muttered and pecked my cheek,
The while class was staring at us waiting for what Sophia would do, I was very ready for anything,
“Hello Sophia how are you doing?” I greeted with a smile, she stared ate and huffed
“Who gave you the right to seat there?” She questioned and I giggled
“I guess you are still a newbie here, this place is my seat before you came to this school” I replied
“I don’t allow anyone seat with my boyfriend so can you leave?” She snapped and I scoffed,
“That is your own trouble..the only thing that would make me leave here is if Jeremy ask me to” I said and she glanced at Jeremy
“Tell her to leave” she said in a commanding voice and Jeremy chuckle,
“That is something I can never dream of doing, I would rather tell you to leave than her, she is more important to me than you” Jeremy rasped and smirked
“What does that mean?” She howled
“It means that if you aren’t comfortable with me staying here, you should finds another place which would be better because I need some secrecy with Jeremy” I said and she burned in rage, my word struck her badly
“Jeremy!!” She called out
“Stop shouting my name like that, you are a lunatic” Jeremy gruffed
With anger Sophia jerked up and walked away from the class,
“Ooow, I love that!!” I shouted in glee,
“Anne thanks for coming” he said and k-ssed my cheek
“You are meant for me, no one can stop it” I said and k-ssed his cheek
“Come” Jeremy said and drew me carefully to the front of the class..
“Hello everyone, it is quite clear that you all are confused in who I love so well now I want to clear your thoughts, the only lady who I love and cherish is Anne, Sophia is just a desperate lady, I love Anne alone” Jeremy purred and plunged his l-ips into mine deeply…
There was a loud uproar, I felt my heart feel free…
