Chapter Ten
Ares
Gulping down the glass of blood I throw it away, this isn’t calming my nerves down, look like I will have to go and hunt for a human this night ” Ares” following the gaze I find Zoe walking down the stairs happily, her red hair lose down while she put on this brown pajamas ” I have another request ” she beam sitting next to me
” am not going to a cinema with you ” I said knowing that’s what will be in that silly head of hers, she pout her l-ips then shake her head
” fine but what about a beach ” furrowing my brows she purred ” it will be fun Ares….you and me in a sand ” resting my head on my hands I stare at this annoying creature
” No ”
” come one, pretty please ” she made her face look like a baby been denied of milk ” you left me for three days and you don’t want to go to a beach with me, you can still wear your suit you know ”
” still no ” my hands won’t stop trembling, am beginning to lose my shit around here, the room become awfully quite and I was thankful because I could use nice and…..
Someone sniff making me drag my gaze to meet a crying Zoe, she hug her knee to herself and cry silently, tears following down ” what’s wrong little mouse ”
” I just want to spend more time with you and since I don’t have school on Saturday I thought it will be nice to go a beach ” she sniff again, am actually feeling bad, for the first time in my life am feeling bad??
” fine ” my voice must lack enthusiasm right now” stop crying little mouse ” I watch her clean her eyes, her face light up immediately, this feels like am taking care of a kid, an annoying one
” you’re the best ” she k-ss my cheek before standing up, she lose a step and fall on the broken glass ” ouch!!!” Lifting her hands, blood drip down and I have to squeeze my hands to stay put ” it hurts ”
I could feel my fangs elongating, fresh blood, my wh0le body seem to be trembling now, worry fill her face as she look at me ” Ares…..”
” shut up ” bending down next to her I grab her shirt and tear it apart before covering her wounds, I can’t believe I stayed this close to blood and did nothing to her
” aren’t you the one that should have tear off your clothes ” she inch her brows ” isn’t that how it works ”
” I should have done that if this robe didn’t cost over fifty thousand dollars ” her eyes w¡den and I smile before I stare at the way I grip off her shirt ” since I helped you, you can give me some ice creams right ” her face heat up the moment the tip of my finger touch her n-pple, no b-ra huh
” am feeling sleepy Ares” she rise up and run upstairs as my l-ips curve into a smile but the moment my gaze land on the broken glass my smile vanish
Some blood got stored on a glass, lifting the glass close to my mouth I lick it off it. My eyes w¡den, what blood is this, cleaning off the glass completely I couldn’t get enough that too I have never tasted such an amazing blood before
I did choose the right person to be my pet after all
……
Stepping out of my room a weird scent caught my nose, frowning at that I entered the elevator to the fourth floor straight to the kitchen. Getting off the elevator I stare at Zoe wearing an apron and turning on the heater
When her gaze met mine she beam up, why do she always look happy after seeing me even when I don’t usually smile back at her ” good morning ” she hold my hands and pull me before tieing an apron around my body
” what are you doing ” I furrow my brows as she push me to a table ” we are gonna cook, you will cut the onions, cuc-mber and carrot ”
” why will I want to do that ”
” because it will be fun ” holding the knife I stare at the three vegetables on the table, using the corner of my eyes I watch Zoe tie her hair in a messy bum, she pick some white substance then pour in the pot
Moving my gaze back to my task I don’t know how to start, holding the cuc-mber I chop it like chopping off a human body then the onions and the carrot
Zoe
” how did I do ” I stare at what Ares cut, it looks too perfect, just like what a machine will do, into tiny pieces ” I ruin it didn’t ” I stare at Ares then shook my head
” its perfect” smiling I watch him exhale, he is actually sweating from such a small task ” are you okay ” I tried touching his cheek but he grab my wrist stopping me as tears drop from his eyes
” why am I crying ??” He asked me like a baby confused with what’s happening around him ” my eyes are also itching badly ”
” I was told that when you cut the onions without care you will turn blind ” his eyes w¡den at that and I fight the urge of laughing
” what do I do to cure myself ” he asked eagerly while I place my hands on my chin to think for awhile ” I think the onions lord will forgive you when you behave like a good boy” he furrow his brows
” a good boy ” I nod ” how??”
” first of all you chop the cabbage help me with some water and….”
” what happened to my maids ”
” they are sleeping, I asked them to rest ”
The room fall quite and the only noise you will hear is that of Ares chopping the cabbage carefully, pulling my phone out of my jeans I move to the camera section
” Ares..lets take a picture” Putting my hands around his neck, he looked at me why I brought my tongue out before taking the picture, he looked so surprise and cute
“A… Ares” Zar and Xar voice echo in the room, turning to face them, I saw their mouth wide open, they look shocked and surprise but why???

Chapter Eleven:
Zoe
” oh ” putting on aprons around their necks I push them into the kitchen ” chop more onions and carrots, we are having a feast ” laughing my evil laugh I slap my hands together ” hahaha”
This will be fun so fun ” are you guys interested in coming to a beach with us ” Xar gaze met mine immediately looking surprise as always
” is Ares going to a beach ” he asked and I nod my head smiling happily at him but Ares glare made me a little confuse ” come here little mouse ” walking towards Ares he lean down and whisper ” new rule, you are not allowed to look at other men or smile at them when you’re my pet ” I look around, Xar and Zar concentrating fully in their task
” are you jealous Ares” I asked and watch him furrow his brows then purred ” what if I am and what if am not ” that grin is back on his face ” rules are rules Zoe ”
” yes Sir ” saluting I watch him bit his lip then look elsewhere back to his task, pulling out a chair I watch the boys work, they all put on an particular face expression, like they are in war, lines forming on their forehead
Suppressing my laughter I chew my apples but what Ares said next made me burst out ” chop the onions carefully Zar or else the onions lord will be furious “laughing I hold my stomach didn’t even notice when I fall off the chair ” ouch!!!!!”

” oh my Zoe, this beach is awesome ” may beam the moment she arrived, her biking look so perfect while I wore a silver coloured bikini just for Ares ” where is your boyfriend anyway ” may eyed me and I chuckle
” I don’t know, I left him for some ice creams and he escaped ” looking around I s₱0t him under a particular tree, sitting down and looking at the sky, what is he thinking about ” found him, have fun may. Zar is over there ” her face grow red as she s₱0t him starring at her ” go on, get your man before those ladies steal him ” pushing may I hurried towards Ares
I didn’t sit next to him but stayed between his legs, my hands on either side of him gaining his attention ” hi” he title his head to his left still didn’t respond to me ” wanna build a castle with me ”
” No ”
” can you at least smile ”
” No ”
” Will you k-ss me ”
“N….” He looked at me and I chuckle ” I don’t mind k-ssing you little mouse but tonight I plan on showing you the stars ”
” showing me the stars??” He bit his l-ips and look elsewhere, is that what he has been thinking about ” can you rob this lotion on my body before we build a castle ” I hand him the lotion and turn around
He lose the straps of the b-ra, his hands touch my body and I shiver ” are you cold little mouse ” he whisper his hands robbing them before he pulled back, tieing my b-ra properly I drag him close to the ocean
Gathering some sands Ares watch me carefully like someone who is eager to learn new things ” you’re putting it wrong little mouse ” shoving my hands away I watch him build the castle and I was surprise ” there ” using his hands he clean the sweat on his forehead mistakenly robbing some sands on it
Leaning close to him I use my hands and wipe them off while my gaze land on some group of girls who are drooling on Ares ” I want to k-ss you ” Ares face turn to a c*cky grin the moment the words left my mouth ” close your eyes ” he didn’t complain as he close his eyes gently
Starring at his face I forget what I goal was, he look so perfect, calm and so handsome. How could someone like this be so scary when he open his eyes
His eyes flung open and he title his head to his left, I didn’t blink nor did he ” what’s wrong little mouse…. You don’t like it here??” Sitting down I smile
” I love it here, look its the sunset” pointing we both turn around and stare at the, the water made it look more alive, the atmosphere change and the colours looks so perfect
Turning my gaze back to Ares I notice he is spacing out again, that same gaze I saw when we were in the park is back again, his face looks so lonely and sad and those eyes keep trying to tell me something but I just don’t get it
When his gaze met mine those barriers are back on his face, what is he hiding ” stop starring little mouse ” he muttered then relax on the sand his head on his head while he look up ” for some reason I think am having fun little mouse ”
My face beam up ” really….I mean Xar and Zar are no where to be found, doesn’t that worry you. May isn’t around too ” he shook his head and close his eyes
” Zar will take care of may and Xar isn’t someone who should worry about ” he muttered so confidently then I nod before resting my head on his chest and relaxing, his heart beat seem to be slowly down just like how his face is pale
” Ares”
” Mmmmmm”
” why is your face pale???” I watch him open his eyes, he look disant, like he is thinking
” because I want to die Zoe ” I notice that whenever he is serious he call my name ” I don’t feel bad about dieing now, I have lived long ”
Ares
For some reason am tired of living and if this will kill me why not, its not like someone out there will miss me instead they will be sad that their killing machine is dead
Hot water touch my skin and I look at a crying Zoe ” why will you say that” sitting up I watch her sniff ” why will you want to die and leave me when you know I love you so much ” my hands squeeze in the sand the moment the words left her mouth, her gaze met mine and I know she didn’t mean to spill the beans
She looked panicked like she said something she shouldn’t have said and she is right to panic ” that doesn’t mean you have to love me back, I know you don’t do love just be alive and let me love you ” she wrap her hands around my wa-ist and bury her head in my chest ” please ”
” do what ever you want ”
