Arthur stood up and glared and Alyssa folded her hand and also glared, they knew he was their father. Now they have get to meet their father the one who put their mother through a lot of hærdsh¡p.
Grace never thought this day will come, she have never thought she will finally meet her husband. She descended the stairs slowly.
Jesse observe Grace, she looks lavishing coz her elegant tell the story. Jesse also never knew he will one day meet the woman he had made to taste Affliction. He had repented a long time ago.
” So you’re the man, who made my mum go through misery ” Arthur spat out Ardently.
He was enrage and feel like punching him on the face, his fist were clenched and his teeth were clenched too and is face was slowly turning red and you can see the vain line in his head that shows he was enraged.
Grace just couldn’t say anything, she felt her agony rekindled.
” Am trying so hærd to control myself from hitting you, just get lost ” Arthur yelled.
Jesse was surprised, how did Grace gave birth to a son, is not possible coz she was sentence to twenty years in imprisonment, so how come the she even have a grown up son, he was confused.
” You heard him old man, the door is over there, just get lost ” Alyssa said with grimace expression.
Jesse notices that Alyssa look like Grace back then when she was young, the same resemblance.
He breathed heavily, looking at Arthur and Alyssa, wondering how Grace was able to give birth to this children and who’s their father.
” Let me clear your confusion, they are you children, ours. ” Grace release the bombshell to him sobbingly.
He face went white.
” Ho…. How “he stuttered.
” I was pregnant for you, I found out after some days in prison that I was one month pregnant” Grace narrated.
Jesse couldn’t believe it, he never knew, buy how will he, when he never even paid visit to her. He stare at the woman he made life hell for her in the past is now living a Lavishing life, why he is suffering.
” Grace please forgive me, I know I don’t deserve it coz am not worth forgiving but please am begging…..
He was cut short by Arthur outburst.
” Don’t even dare beg my mother for forgiveness, you didn’t only ruined my mother’s life, you derive us from her for twenty years. I have harboured only hatred for you after getting to knowing. I we never even address you as my father” Arthur foamed with his clenched fist. Alyssa hiss.
” I forgive you ” Grace utter, shocking the twins.
” Mum, what are you saying ” Alyssa marveled.
She ignored their shocking expression and face Jesse with serious look, even Jesse was marveled at Grace suddenly forgiveness, he expect her to give him a slap or spar on his face and then order him out..
” Mum” Arthur exclaimed shockingly.
” Jesse I forgive you first for torturing me, when I was living with you as you wife. I forgive you for cheating on me. I also forgive you for accusing me of Luna’s murder misleading the court that day. I forgive you for making me to be away from my children for twenty years and lastly I forgive you because you’re their father ” Grace yelled in Agony, and broke out into a uncontrollable tears, she let out a sharp cry that was stuck in her throat.
Arthur and Alyssa came closer to her and soothing their mum.
Jesse let our his tears too, he feel so remorseful and he knew his children won’t even care to call a beast like him a father. Well he was right, the twins didn’t care about his so called tears they had scowl in their face.
“Grace after that day you were sentence to prison I never knew life was gonna make me pay for all my sins… Jesse began his tale and Grace arched a brow.
He sighed deeply and continue.
Two month later, I dated a lady named Katelyn Richærdo. I found her Ina bar and he didn’t take long before I married her afterwards. I never knew much about her all she told me that her parents died and her brother left her when she was fifteen that she never saw him again that why she works in a bar. I was so madly in love with her, we consult a test and she was anyway free from disease.
Well marrying her I never knew that was beginning of my downfall.
Few months later, she drugged me into sighing a paper that contains a transfer of ownersh¡p of properties and that was how she took all my money, my land and ran away. Well not only that, the mobile company I worked for, they were dropping workers and i was among those they dropped. The little money the company gave me I use it in starting a little mechanic business. One day a man came and ask me to repair a car, after repairing it, I took it for a ride to test it, a man stopped me in the road and claimed the car belonged to him that I had stolen it. I tried my best to explain to him that the car was giving to me to repair by a man. But he got me arrested, there was no evidence to prove what I was saying coz I don’t have information about the man. After three months behind bars they find out that i was innocent.
I went back to my business with fear in my heart that more things will happen to me. Well I was right, I started owning dept, huge dept and my business also collapsed, I couldn’t pay back my dept . Sooner I joined a gang of armed robber and started stealing cars, robbing banks. My gang and I moved to new York, we traveled illegally. But didn’t get caught. We continue our stealing stuff , I was into drugs, drinking smoking heavy weeds. We also sell drugs and I was becoming wealthy. For five years we weren’t caught by the cops. in our last operation, it wasn’t successful, he got caught by the cops two of our men were shut dead. i was giving ten years in imprisonment.
When I was in prison that was when I realize that I was paying for the misery I put my wife in not coz I was arrest for my bad ways.
Thereafter I came out of prison and was sent back to my country here. I was so poor and nothing was with me, no hope. For the last five years, I just did some decent little jobs as a cleaner in a bakery, but I got fired two months ago accuse of stealing, they wanted to arrest me, but saw I was a old man so they just fired me ” Jesse narrated, all this time he had his head bow, Arthur and Alyssa show no face of pity, but Grace felt sorry for Jesse.
” We don’t care of your pathetic story, you got what you deserve and it suit you perfectly well” Arthur scoffed.
Suddenly Jesse felt a pain in his heart. He held his chest and then he collapse to the ground and fell unconscious.
Grace rushed to him panicking.
“Hurry, let’s take him to the hospital ” Grace said.
“Am not taking him anywhere ” Arthur replied.
” He is your father for crying out loud ” Grace yelled.
He decided to do because of Grace he pick him up with one shoulder and Grace supported him with the other shoulder.

” The patient request to see you’ll” the doctor said coming out of the room.
Grace hurried into the ward, the twins reluctantly followed their mother.
They saw Jesse awoke.
” The doctor said you’ve heart failure is it true ” Grace said sobbingly.
” Yes” he replied.
” Grace, I don’t have much time to live, I know I will die eventually. But I prayed I will first meet you and beg for your forgiveness, please am sorry for not being the idea husband ” Jesse said weakly.
“You won’t die okay, I and your children still want you ” Grace replied.
Arthur and Alyssa throw Grace and arched brow. What was their mother talking about coz they never would acknowledge him as their father.
” Thanks for forgiving me, I can now die in peace ” he said.
Soon, his chest went up and down,he breathed heavily and Grace panicked calling the doctor. His then his heart stopped.
The doctor came and examine him, after a second the doctor shook his head and announce that he was dead.

Grace decided she should at least give her husband a befitting funeral. Arthur and Alyssa don’t care, but they agreed to come to his funeral anyway.

Grace stare at his grave.
” Don’t worry, Jesse, I’ll take care of our kids ” Grace said.
“Mum let’s us go ” Arthur and Alyssa half yell from afar.
Grace turn and and followed them..

Grace continued with writing her books for over the years.
Arthur got married to Luna, Alyssa was also engaged. She married after a year her twin brother got married.
Mandy and Grace lived happily.
