I just want my normal life back. Is it too much to ask? I was just fine being a nerdy girl with only one friend and no parents.

“Hey, Cutie”.

I turned seeing him. “S-Seven?!!”.

“Good morning”.

Immediately, all what he did yesterday flash through my mind and I walked towards him giving him a fierce slap.

He frowned. “Are you crazy?”.

“Really? Am I?”. I let out a scoff. “Or its you who’s supposed to be mental?”.

“Feisty, huh? I like it”.

I hit him again. “I hate you so much”.

“Look, Bailey, what the hell is wrong with you?”.

“You really want to know?”. I sniffed back tears. “My life was normal before you came into it and I regret the day I met you”.

“Oh wow. That is so touching”.

“Can’t you even feel remorse for what you did?”. Tears rolled down my eyes. “Seven, that video you uploaded of me was the worst thing anyone has ever done to me”.

“I guess I did that, I need an award”.

“Don’t you get it?”. I began crying. “You have ruined any chance of me getting a scholarsh¡p like I wanted”.

“What?”.

“My life isn’t rosy like you or your friends, if you don’t know, I have no parents and its my brother who pays my fees. I wanted to save him the money”.

“Bailey”. He stepped back. “I didn’t know”.

“My grades helped me and I’m suppose to get a scholarsh¡p for college but you ruined all that. If the principal sees the video you uploaded then its all gone”.

“I’ll take it down immediately”.

I thought he was joking but he brought out his tablet and tapped some stuffs before showing it to me. He deleted it already.

“It still doesn’t change the fact that many students has saved the video”. I reminded him.

“Bailey, I was, I mean, I didn’t think it would hurt you that way. I just wanted to show you that no girl rejects me and go scot free”.

I wiped my tears. “Thank you, Seven for ruining my life totally, for ruining any damn chance I had before in getting a grant”.

“Bailey”.

He made to touch but I slapped his hand away then pushed him. I hit him repeatedly.

“I hate you”. I yelled at him tearfully. “I hate the fact that I ever liked you, I hate the day you walked into my life”.

“Really? Thats it, you hate only me, what about the others who were also part of the bet? Won’t you hate them too?”.

“What?”. I was taken aback. “What are you talking about?”.

“It was all a f×¢king bet, do you really think that one day, all of a sudden, five guys will show up and then decide to get closer to you?”.

I stared at him surprised. “What?”.

“Should I jog your memory? Sean has been in the same Geometry class with you since freshmen but he decided to talk to you only now, do you think its because he liked you, Bailey, it was all a damn bet”.

I froze remembering how I met all of them, how Sean was nice to me. How Tyler tried to talk me whenever I babysit his brother.

Even when Alvin asked me out on a date, he did it for a bet. And then Ryder, Oh My, he probably wanted me to stay away from Seven so that he could have me for himself.

I glanced at Seven. He was the worst, he made me think he was in love with me. He played my feelings. And the five of them all wanted me just for a bet, just to sleep with me.

I bursted into tears immediately walking past Seven as I ran out of the class. I didn’t know where I was going but I just went off the school hallway.

I stopped by a random locker and went on crying. And here I was thinking I was loved not knowing it was just fake. None of them cared for me to let me know the truth, not even one of them.

“If its isn’t the nerd”.

I looked up immediately to see two guys walk towards me. They seem like they were part of the football team, maybe though. I stepped backwards as they grinned at me.

“You wanted to see how it tasted like, isn’t that so?”. The first one grinned. “You just wanted to have s××”.

Oh Gosh!! What has Seven gotten me into now? Its all because of that fake video.

I made to run away but they quickly pushed me back to the the floor. I tried to get out of their grip but it was too firm.

The other guy held me with his two hands as the first one unbuckled his belt. I yelled immediately trying to attract attention.

Then the guy was hit on the head with a rod making him to fall on the floor while the other one holding me ran off.

I stood up from the floor to see Ryder, he held my hand taking me far across lockers getting me away. I stopped and shrugged out of his hold.

“Bailey?”.

“You never liked me, did you?”.

He turned to me. “What are you talking about?”.

“Why didn’t you tell me it was just a bet? I should have stayed away from him, from all of you”.

“Bailey, I__”.

“Don’t”. I cut him off. “The five of you all ruined my life, I was better off not knowing you all at all”.

“Bailey, I like you, I’m not__”.

“Enough!! I don’t want to hear any more lies in my ears, I think I’ve had enough”.

I removed the glasses and handed it over to him. There’s no way I’m wearing it.

“Here. I don’t want this”.

“Bailey, you need it to see”.

“I don’t need this”. I gave it back to him. “I don’t want a reminder of the fact that you only talked to me because of some stupid bet”.

He didn’t take it so I dropped it on the floor for him. I’m never wearing that again.

“I don’t care if I can’t see now”. I said tearfully. “I don’t want to see you ever”.

I wiped my tears and walked off. My sight was blurry but I didn’t care. I expected a normal senior year but I got the opposite.

I regret ever meeting any of them, I should have just avoided them. I stopped and sat on the floor drawing my knees up to my chest as I cried all over again.

I pull my hoodie over my head and walked as yet another student start talks about the video uploaded by Seven two days ago.

I’m Bailey’s best friend but sometimes I can hærdly understand her. I know that she liked Seven but she acted too vulnerable.

I seriously hated what she did. I know that I once had a crush on Seven but not before I realized what kind of jerk he is, the others are way much more better than him.

“Katie!!”.

I walk faster knowing its probably Ryder, he probably wants to know where Bailey is but I can’t tell him, not at all. I promised her I wouldn’t tell anyone.

“Katie”.

I stopped and turned. “Oh hey, I didn’t hear you call my name”.

“Thats alright”. He panted heavily.

“Do you need anything?”.

“Bailey, have you seen her? The problem is I haven’t seen her all morning and__”.

“I haven’t too”. I cut him off lying.

“Are you sure?”. He stares at me keenly. “I just need to know where she is, please”.

“Sorry, got no clue”.

“But come on, you are her only friend”. He persisted.

“Ryder, seriously, I have no idea where she is and you caused all this along with those your so called friends”.

“I tried to explain to her but she didn’t listen to me”.

“Of course, she wouldn’t listen. And do you want to know something? Bailey can’t go to school here anymore because her scholarsh¡p has been taken away”.

“What?”.

I crossed her arms. “Now do you see why she said you all ruined her life? Seriously, why did you have to place a bet on her?”.

“Please Katie, if you know where she__”.

“Even if I did, I wouldn’t tell you”. I told him off and walked out on him.

I breathed out a sigh of relief. Gosh!! I hope I did the right thing but I didn’t like the way Ryder was. He has been like that for the past few days.

“A penny for your thoughts”.

“Go away”. I walked faster not glancing at him.

“Seriously? Katherine, what happened?”.

I stopped immediately. “What did you just say?”.

“What happened between both of us? We were really bonding”.

“Really?”. I let out a scoff. “You seriously asked me that question? After what five of you did to my best friend”.

“Katie, I like you and__”.

“How do I know you are not lying now, Tyler. Tell me, if you really liked me then why didn’t you tell me what was going on”.

“I couldn’t, okay? Yes, I’m supposed to tell you but its some kind of bro code”.

“Code my foot!! You hurt my best friend and if you could do that to her, who knows what you are capable of?”.

“Katie, come on, I dropped out of the bet once I realized I liked you”. He said.

“I’m sorry, Tyler but I can’t date you”.

I walked off immediately. Gosh!! Why does it hurts so much? He’s the first guy that has ever confessed his love for me and this had to happen.

This is all their fault, the so called STARS, if they hadn’t shown interest in Bailey then all this wouldn’t have happened. I blame her though since she was warned at first.

The bell rang signaling school over and I heaved a sigh of relief. Finally, time to go. I need to go check up on Bailey at home.

I walked through the school hallways and finally went out through one of the entrance heading towards the parking lot but stop seeing.

I crossed my arms. “What do you want?”.

“I need to__”.

“If its about Bailey then f×¢k off. You take away what she dreamt off and now you want to see her?”.

“I didn’t know, I was just, I wanted to have fun, nothing else”.

“I said f×¢k off. You edited a video and made her look a s×× craved slut”.

“Katie, please”. He stopped me. “I’m sorry, I just want Bailey to forgive me for what I did to her”.

“You cost her an all round scholarsh¡p to the Manchester University in the U.K. And now you want to seek forgiveness, does she look like an Angel to you?”.

“I never knew the video would cost her that scholarsh¡p”.

“Well now you know. Seven, the principal watched the video of her begging you for s×× which you uploaded on the school website”. I reminded him. “Do you think any college would accept someone like that?”.

“So did you try talking to her?”. I asked Tyler hopefully.

“I did but she didn’t give me any audience, man, I’m sorry”.

I sighed. “I need to see Bailey, talk things out with her”.

“Katie wouldn’t tell me anything”.

I rested on a locker. “I know that. I’ve been trying to get her to talk but she didn’t”.

“Have you tried going over to her place to explain everything to her, maybe that would work”.

“That was the first thing I did when she didn’t show up in school yesterday”.

He arched his eyebrows. “And?”.

“A guy named Owen answered the door and he kicked me out saying he doesn’t know any Bailey Hadid”. I explained to him.

“Wait, Owen?”.

I nodded in response. “Yeah”.

“You mean, brown hair, got the muscles, built chest, brown eyes as well and__”.

“And a birthmark on the top of his head, his hair covered a part tho. He said his name was Owen”.

“Owen? He’s Bailey’s older brother, you dimwit”.

“Huh?”. I asked confusedly.

“Back in Junior High, Owen was a senior, I had seen him a couple of times playing at the basketball court”.

“That Owen whom the cheerleaders flock about? He’s Bailey’s brother? I didn’t know that”.

“Neither did I, I just remembered him by your description”.

I breathed out. “Wow”.

“Umm, Ryder. That thing about Bailey in a scholarsh¡p stuff, I think its true because Owen got a scholarsh¡p as well”.

“Oh Gosh!! We destroyed Bailey’s chance of going to college for free”.

“Her parents can’t afford it?”.

“Her parents are dead, Tyler”. I informed him.

“What? We really messed up big time, she has been going through stuffs but we then added to it with some stupid bet”.

“Yeah”. I whispered wistfully.

“Maybe we should go to her house one more time?”.

I shrugged. “It wouldn’t hurt to give it a try”.

🌟🌟Later. At Bailey’s Apartment🌟
“Ryder. Your sister just came out of coma and we are here, why?”. Alvin asked me confused.

“I can go visit Riley later but for now, I need to see Bailey. Its important”.

“She hasn’t still forgiven you?”.

“She hasn’t even talked to me yet”.

“Okay, why am I here?”. Katie spoke up.

“To help up”. Tyler answered her. “Owen will open the door if he sees you not us”.

She huffed angrily. “Okay fine”.

I heaved a sigh of relief and we walked off to Bailey’s apartment. We got there and Katie knocked on the door repeatedly.

“Is it that she’s not home or she chose not to answer us?”. Alvin asked.

Katie crouched and lifted a doormat taking a key then she unlocked it. I quickly step in looking around for Bailey but expected the more.

“She’s gone”. Katie said.

I step into the apartment further, everything is empty. The couches are gone, its just like a newly rented place, she moved out.

“She didn’t tell me she was leaving”. Katie whispered holding on to Tyler.

I rested on the wall. I got no more chances, Bailey’s gone. She didn’t even tell anyone, by the way Katie was crying, I’m sure she didn’t tell her too.

I ran my hands through my hair nervously, why did she have to leave? I couldn’t get the chance to talk to her, to explain things and now she left. My nerdy nerd.

“They’ll get heartbroken if they don’t see you”. Owen said.

I ignored it. “Just drive”.

He sighed and started the car driving off, we are leaving Springfield. Luckily for me, Owen didn’t get annoyed when he heard my scholarsh¡p was withdrawn.

I told him about everything. He has a job offer in Australia to be part of a basketball team and at my urging, he took it.

Now we are relocating over there. We got our plane tickets ready, no more leaving in Springfield. I really don’t want to be reminded of the fact that my feelings got played.

I look down at my phone to see Katie calling already. I guess she now knows I no longer leave there anymore. I just can’t, I don’t even have a choice.

My scholarsh¡p was withdrawn and I can’t go to school unless I pay my fees and its too expensive for Owen. I hate the fact that five guys all ruined my life the same time.

Owen glanced at me. “You gonna answer that or what?”.

I look down at my phone and throw it out the window almost immediately. I don’t want to be reminded of anything and I mean it.

“Are you crazy?”.

“Don’t lecture me, I won’t listen”.

“Sis, I understand that you are still pained by what happened but you can’t just lose contact with them like that”.

“Its my choice, Owen”. I replied coldly.

He kept on talking as he drove but I rested my head on the window not even listening to him. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I remembered everything.

I might be leaving for now but I’ll come back, not for love for revenge. He made me lose something so close to me, I’ll make sure he loses something as well.

I don’t care if none of them had their way with me. Its sad to know that other girls too have fallen prey of a bet as well.

But for the so-called STARS, they should just watch for me. More tears rolled down my cheeks as I cried freely, they will all pay.

And Boom!!. The End. Well for Season 1. I think I’ll do Season 2 since I’m not a fan of tragedy or sad endings. The story continues next week Monday
