I rested back on my chair bored. Detention is totally boring everyday. I would know about it since this is like my second home.
I looked sideways at the Nerd and noticed she was reading her books.
Really? Reading?. In detention? How much of a nerd can she be? Probably more.
Shit!! I have detention. I sat down next to Bailey trying to get her attention for hours now.
I drummed on the table totally bored. All students in this school think is that I’m a bad boy but thats the exactly the opposite.
The only people who knows my true self is my best friend, Tyler. And maybe the others too since they are kind of close to me as well.
I only portray this bad boy version so as to keep everyone away from me, i don’t want anyone close to me at all especially girls.
Then came Bailey seated next to me right now, absolutely angry at me. I like the way i can get on her nerves all the time.
I checked the time and noticed it was like few minutes to detention over. Thankfully, i really need to get home to check on my Mum.
As soon as we are dismissed to go, i stand up and stayed in front of Bailey. She seems nice, hot and sassy though a nerd but still.
“Move, Ryder, i have some place to go to right now”.
“Is my Nerd angry at me?”. I teased her playfully.
I watched as her eyeglasses fall to the bridge of her nose and her s×xy cute l-ips scrunch up in a pout.
Damn!! She’s so cute. I don’t think I might be able to continue with this bet at all.

😘😘Bailey’s POV😘😘
Two hours were finally over which means detention finished. I still can’t believe that I got my first detention on my first day of school.
I walked past Ryder ignoring him then went out of the classroom.
I stopped annoyed. Gosh!! I have to take the bus home alone since Katie already left and obviously, i have no other friends.
Ryder poked me. “What you thinking?”.
“What else is there to think other than you got me detention and now I have to take the bus alone all by myself”. I said to him irritated.
“Oh, no one to fetch you .. ?”.
“Like I said, I’m taking the bus”. I told him off walking away.
“We can drive together if you want”.
I stop and turn to him. “Huh?”.
“If you want, I can drive you home”.
“What makes you think that I would wanna go with you?”. I retorted.
“Look, Bailey. I just wanna use it to say that I’m sorry for getting you detention”.
I crossed my arms. “Ryder apologized to me. Thats a first”.
“So .. You going with me?”.
“Okay fine. Sure”. I agreed.
He seemed so sincere so I decided to go with him.
“Ryder .. “. I started up the conversation. “I just wanna know why you always get in trouble?”.
He shrugged. “I don’t know, Nerd. I guess its kinda my lifestyle”.
I didn’t know what else to say to him but luckily we had reached the parking lot but there were no cars just a motorbike.
I’m guessing he owns that. Typical bad boy, i should have known that.
“I’m not driving in that”. I said backing away.
“Come on, Nerd”.
“I’d rather take a bus”.
“Well just so you know, you can’t catch the bus either because it already passed”. He told me hopping on his motorbike.
“Won’t I get a helmet first? For safety?”.
He stood up and grabbed a black helmet from his bag walking towards me.
He wore it on my head strapping the buckles under my chin, his fingers slightly brushing me making feel all tingly.
He was so close. I could see his dark eyes clearly, filled with coldness. I wonder if he has anyone with him.
“You good?”. He asked.
“Yeah”.
He hopped on his motorbike and I took a deep breath before hopping on it with him.
“You might wanna hold me if you don’t want to fall off”. He warned.
I didn’t want to but I realized but I might not have any other choice. So I better do it.
I put my hands around his chest slowly and immediately, he started the engine speeding off.
As soon as he sped off the parking lot, i laid my head on his back. I felt him stiffen up a little bit before relaxing.
I sniffed in his scent. A mixture of cologne and aftershave. Feels good. I got lost in my thoughts thinking about him.
Maybe this Ryder Tatum isn’t the guy he portrays himself to be. Maybe he’s different from what he shows.
“So where should I drop you off?”. He says snapping me out of my thoughts.
Maybe my place. Or no, not yet. I still have to go check out that babysitting job that I was called for.
“Nerd?”.
“Connor Close”. I quickly told him, the breeze making my hair to move around my face.
“Thats where you live?”.
“No. I just have something to do there, that is all”.
After a while, like minutes later, he stopped at exactly, Connor Close.
I made to get down but my legs were like so wobbly. Ryder hopped down and helped me off his motorbike.
“Thanks”. I said giving him his helmet.
“You welcome”.
“And also thanks for the ride, i’m grateful”.
“I get that, Nerd”. He got back on his motor bike.
“Bye”.
“Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow”. He winked at me and sped off.
I waved at him slightly and turned around smiling to myself. Maybe Ryder isn’t just all he is.
Well time to go for my babysitting job, i went ahead into the Connor Close looking for the number in which I was told.
Then I got there and knocked on the gates, it opened seconds later by a security who showed up.
“Hello Sir. I’m here for Miss Celine”. I told him politely.
He looked at me before paving way for me to pass through. I went in and Oh My Wow, this place is damn awesome.
“You must be the new nanny?”.
I nodded in response. “Yes Sir”.
“You can go on to the entrance”.
I walked to the main door and stepped in, the sitting room was just wow, spacious and well organized.
It was really so beautiful compared to the Apartment I live in with my brother.
“Hi Miss”.
I looked up to see Celine approaching me already dressed up.
“Hello Ma’am”. I greeted politely.
“Call me Celine, sweetheart”.
“Umm, okay. Celine … “.
“So i know we talked over the phone by the weekend but whats your name again?”.
“Bailey Hadid”.
“Okay. Now you know everything and all the instructions I gave to you, the pay will be sent to the account details you gave me”.
“I’m grateful, Celine”.
“Please my son is troublesome and thats why I need a calm young person to take care of him. I would have told my elder son to do that but he’s busy preparing for his games”.
“Okay Ma’am”.
“But if you need some help in taking care of Charlie, I’m sure Tyler would help you”.
I paused hearing that name. Tyler?
“Oh”.
“Mum, Charlie is giving me a hærd time so where’s the new babysitter for … “. He trailed off seeing me.
This is definitely not my lucky day. So here i am babysitting Tyler’s younger brother.
“Tyler, meet Bailey. And Bailey, my elder son”. She introduced us.
He smirks staring at me. “Kitten, how nice of you to come see me at my place”.

“Tyler was being such a baby yesterday”. I complained to Katie as we walked to the lockers.
“So what you are saying right now that you spent the whole of yesterday evening with Tyler?”.
“Apparently, I babysat his brother, Charles and him. He was so … Gosh”.
“So, did anything else happen?”.
“Is anything else supposed to happen?”. I asked her confused.
“You know all that stuff”. She wiggled her eyebrows at me. “Did you both … ?”.
I faked a gag. “Yuck, Katie. No, no way”.
“What?”. She shrugged. “I’m just asking”.
“Well you better ask no more because that is disgusting, having it with Tyler?”. I faked a shudder.
She rolled her eyes. “Your whole life is just so boring”.
“If me not wanting to sleep with boys at my age is boring then I’m happy with it”.
She stopped by her locker. “All I’m saying is that you should live the life, Bestie”.
“I am living the life. My books, my grades”.
She tapped her head frustratingly. “Not that kind of life really? Bestie, i don’t even know how we are the damn friends”.
I wanted to reply her when someone sling an arm over my shoulder. I looked up at him surprised.
“Hey Babe”. He grinned.
Katie gaped at us. “Babe?”.
“Didn’t she tell you that we are dating?”.
“What?!!”. Katie shrieked. “Bailey, why didn’t you tell me that you had a boyfriend already?”.
He smirked at me. “Yeah Freak. Why didn’t you tell her?”.
“He’s not my boyfriend”. I retorted.
He removes his arm around me and tucks it in his pockets. “But we are still going on that date, right?”.
“With the stunt you just pulled here?”.
“Umm .. “. He shrugged. “Sorry .. ?”.
I sighed a little. “Lets just talk after school”.
“Be sure about that, Freak”. He winked at me before going off.
Katie squealed excitedly. “Bailey?!!”.
“Katie, keep it low. We are in the school hallway, remember?”.
“Did you just see that?”.
“See what?”.
She hit me playfully. “You didn’t tell me that Alvin asked you out”.
“So? Its not like its a big deal”.
“Come on, girl. What are you saying? You just scored a date with the Alvin Norman”.
“Katie, lets get to class already”. I say to her bored.
“So you’ve decided on what to wear for the date already?”.
I looked at her. “Do you want to dress me up?”.
“Yes please”.
“Okay fine”. I agreed. “But i mean it when I say no extreme makeup”.
“Deal. You can count on me on that one”.
“Good”.
“You know, Bailey. I think that you and one of the STARS would make a great couple”.
I let out a scoff. “Oh really? Then which of those jerks actually?”.
“I like Seven but I don’t think if you would since__”.
I cut her off. “I won’t like him at all, he’s so pompous and immoral”.
“And then there is Tyler, nice, sporty and also__”.
“Behaves childish”. I say interrupting her.
“Next is Alvin, the casanova and__”.
“Katie, Alvin and I can never be a couple not at all. We both have lot of differences, remember?”.
“What about Ryder and Sean?”. She asks finally.
“Well Sean is really nice and I like him but also I want to know whats up with Ryder and what he’s hiding”.
“I know who you will fall in love with if you get to spend more time with them”.
“Who?”. I asked curious.
“Its of course__”.
The school bell rings signaling first period as it interrupts what Katie is trying to say to me.
“Bye Bestie, see you Lunch Time”.
I waved at her. “Bye Katie”.
She walked off and I sighed worried. What if I do fall in love with one of the STARS?
I quickly shook my head getting out all of the thoughts away. Don’t think about it at all. Bailey Hadid.
I held on to my backpack tightly going to my next class. Algebra again.
I walked in the class and looked around the class for empty seats. I walked towards an empty seat and sat down placing my bag on my laps.
I unzipped my backpack so as to bring out my notes when someone sat beside me. I looked at him surprised, you all gotta be kidding me right now.
“Good morning, Princess”.
“Sean?!!”.
He grinned at me. “At your service”.
“You are sitting next to me?”.
He shrugged lightly. “So? Its not a big deal, besides i’d love to sit with any day”.
“Oh”.
“So .. Fan of Algebra?”.
“Well … “. I trailed off.
“Let me guess, you hate the subject but you have no choice than to study unless you wanna get a bad grade and you don’t want that”.
“Exactly”.
He chuckled lightly. “Smooth move there, Princess”.
“I just wanna get out of this high school the normal way and with normal grade, thats all”.
“I can give you some pointers in Algebra if you want”. He offered.
My eyes lightened up. “Really? You would do that for me?”.
“Sure, when I see a Princess in distress, i come along and save her like her Knight in Shining Armor”.
“You do know its Damsel in distress”. I corrected him.
“Either way, you are still the Princess that needs saving”.
“Oh really? I’m the princess?”.
“And a beautiful one at that”. He added.
My cheeks flushed with color as I blushed at what he just said right now. I quickly turn to my books trying to dispute the fact that he’s staring at me.
“So you would let me give you some pointers?”. He asked again.
“Thats so sweet of you, thanks”.
“How about Lunch time?”.
“I usually have my Lunch with my best friend, Katie”. I told him.
“Oh”. He mouthed. “Or the both of you could have lunch with me and my friends”.
“You mean Seven, Tyler, Alvin and Ryder?”.
He nodded in response. “Precisely”.
“No way. I’m not meeting Sever ever again not when I’m still here”.
“And why is that?”.
“Do you know what I caught him doing?”. I faked a gag. “He was with a girl in the girls restroom”.
“Thats Seven Marshall, for you alright”.
“Yeah but doesn’t he stops at all?”.
Sean smiled a little. “So you don’t like him at all?”.
“Yuck. No, Katie’s the one crushing on him not me”.
“Wow”.
“Anything wrong?”. I asked confused.
“Nothing of that sort that you should worry about, Princess”.
The teacher came in and I faced my desk flipping through my notes.
“It looks like Seven is gonna lose after all”. I heard him faintly.
What is that all about? Seven is gonna lose what? I’m getting confused here right now.

I walked through the school hallways going to my next class as the bell had been rung.
I stopped in my tracks to see Seven, he was also coming through the hallways.
Come on, just breathe, Bailey. Nothing is gonna happen at all, just walk past him.
He wore a plain white round shirt under an unzipped designer jacket which was black and his trousers were also black.
This is it. Bailey Hadid, walk past him and just ignore him like he’s nothing. You can do this.
I held my backpack tightly and walked past him but he set out his leg for me making to trip.
I wanted to land on the floor right away but he caught me pulling me close to him. This guy is crazy, he made me trip intentionally just to play the hero.
“Hey. Small ass”. He grinned at me.
Gosh!! Him being so close to me now, i could clearly see his sharp green eyes and the tip of his gold hair dyed blue.
He smirked. “Take a picture, it will last longer”.
I didn’t realize that I was staring at me so I stepped backwards feeling my cheeks getting all red from embarassment. Gosh!! I’m blushing for Seven.
