Chapter 115 :- Next episode ➡ Beginning of the Cataclysm ( Alliance)

Fueled by her thirst of more power and her own cruel and selfish agendas, Evlyn agrees to follow Eligos to see his master in hell but in order to do that, she had to separate her spirit from her body. No living being could ever enter hell alive, not even a witch as powerful as Evlyn. Only demonic beings and those condemned to damnation after death were the only ones who had direct access into the everlasting pit of flames. Here inside the steamy hot atmosphere of Hell, Evlyn watches in silence as the condemned souls of humans and other beings screaming with pain and agony. Their echoing cries emerging from the burning pits made her spine tingle that she began to wonder if she had made the right choice coming here. Before long, Evlyn and Eligos arrive at Belial’s chamber and as soon as they made their way in, the latter soon informs his master of their arrival.

Eligos ➡ Greetings master, your request has been fulfilled. Your guest humbly seeks an audience with you.

Feeling displeased and irritated by Eligos’s words, Evlyn tries to lash out at him but just as she was about to open her lips, she feels an insanely powerful and sinister aura around the doom. The aura felt so dark and intense that for the first time since her last meeting with Satan she was afraid. In that moment, Belial’s pet hisses loudly in the chamber and then shows itself by slithering around Evlyn slowly. Shortly after that, Belial appears into the chamber within a blink of an eye, his huge and massive stature adds more intensifying pressure around the chamber that even those burning inside the pit of hell screamed even more louder than ever.
Taking her time to measure devil in front of her, Evlyn knew that Belial was nothing like Satan if not more terrifying and sinister. Satan’s terrifying nature was hidden behind his calm face but Belial’s own was open. Seeing that she had no footing here, Evlyn decides to behave herself and see what offer Belial has for her.

Belial ➡ (growling) Well, well, well. Looks who’s here. Just the witch I wanted to see.
.

Evlyn ➡ Belial! It’s been so long.
.

Belial ➡ YOU DARE SAY MY NAME, CUNT?

Evlyn ➡ Please, there’s no need for formalities. It’s not we haven’t heard about each other.

Belial ➡ Don’t forget that you’re in my domain and in here I am the only thing that matters. Count yourself lucky that I’m not a foul mood, I would have made sure you’re stuck here with me for all eternity.

Evlyn ➡ My…(coughs)…apologies. Why am I here?

Belial ➡ Let’s just say that you’re becoming too popular. Even in hell, there are whispers of your vicious schemes and the result has been very promising. Take a look around, it’s been long since the pits of hell have filled with the souls of the damned. I know you’re trying to take over the world.

Evlyn ➡ Correction. I’m going to burn it down. The world has been long infested by humans and it makes my stomach turn. I want things to be as they are and it’s time for humans to know their place because they’re nothing but works.

Belial ➡ Magnificent. You’re the only witch who has a back bone. The rest are nothing but disappointments.
.

Evlyn ➡ Since you know what I’m up to, what now? I’m sure you didn’t have me come all the way here to praise my efforts.

Belial ➡ (chuckles viciously) You’re right. I want us to burn the world together. Let’s partner up and unleash hell into the world.
.

Evlyn ➡ And why would I do that? I already have Satan’s help.
.

Belial ➡ (growls angrily) Listen to me Evlyn, you’re being used. Satan doesn’t want the world to burn, if he did he would have done that eons ago.

Evlyn ➡ He gave me some of his powers to back my cause.

Belial ➡ (laughs) It doesn’t matter. He’s using you and I’m sure he hasn’t told you what he wants in return.

Evlyn ➡ No.
.

Belial ➡ You see! you’re leading yourself into a trap and once you get caught in Satan’s trap, there’s no escape. Even if you succeed in taking over the world, you won’t live long enough to enjoy it.

Evlyn ➡ What’s to say you won’t use me as well if we partner up?

Belial ➡ I’m not like that sneaky bastard Satan. In return for me helping you, all I need is to get access to the human world.

Evlyn ➡ I see. That is why you sent your servant. You’re trapped in this place.

Belial ➡ Satan and the others get to roam the earth whenever they want but I can’t. It pisses me off. Find me a way to get out of here and you won’t have any issues in your quest.

Evlyn ➡ Issues!? I don’t have any issues.
.

Belial ➡ Are you telling me you aren’t facing any resistance or problems hindering your quest?

Evlyn ➡ I do but I can’t be stopped. Those fools are no match for me.

Belial ➡ Don’t be so sure Evlyn. Never overestimate your enemies no matter how weak they are. I learnt that the hard way when my plans was foiled twice by a certain human who goes by the name of Riley femi, the father of the half breed witch that might defeat you if you’re not too cautious.

Evlyn ➡ (laughs) Ebinoluwa, the girl with all gifts! She’s no threat to me. She tried to challenge me and the result was humiliating for her.

Belial ➡ Maybe but what about now? You may have beaten her once but what makes you think that you can beat her again? From what I’m hearing, she’s the only with that is on par with you. The only way to ensure an enemies defeat is to kill them.

Evlyn ➡ She will die if she doesn’t accept my terms. She and I will cross paths soon enough.
.

Belial ➡ I don’t care about the girl. I care about getting back at her father. That wretch will pay for foiling my plans.

Evlyn ➡ He shouldn’t be hard to kill. He’s no threat.

Belial ➡ Yes but the Witches he’s living with are. You need to eliminate them all or else, you won’t get far.

Evlyn ➡ I have my own forces as well and I also have a mole in the council letting me know about their every move.

Belial ➡ Impressive. Instead of fighting your enemies then, how about destroy them from the inside?

Evlyn ➡ Already way ahead of you. Everything will be set in motion soon.

Meanwhile here inside Evlyn’s new lair, Iyunloye and the others who were keeping an eye on Evlyn’s body whilst her spirit was in hell began to discuss amongst themselves. They were all wondering to know what Evlyn was discussing with Belial and what might be the outcome of it.

Azrel ➡ What do you think is going on?

Iyunloye ➡ What do you mean?

Azrel ➡ Evlyn going to hell.. What do you think she’s talking to?

Xeira ➡ It might be a devil or worse. I’m sick and tired for waiting doing nothing. We should be at war.

Azrel ➡ Relax lover, we’ll go to war soon but in the meantime, we need to wait and see what Evlyn has planned.

Xeira ➡ Once she gives the green light, I will slaughter that half breed cunt, Ebinoluwa.

Mimi ➡ Ebinoluwa!!? I want her dead as well.

Iyunloye ➡ Just remember that she’s powerful than you Xeira. You’re no match for her, what you should be worried about his your sister.

Suddenly in that moment, Evlyn wakes up abruptly and pants steadily as she tries to catch her breath. Iyunloye and the other stare at each other with confusion wondering what Evlyn had went through whilst her spirit form was in hell but it didn’t take long before they found out.

Iyunloye ➡ Your eminence, are you alright?

Evlyn ➡ So that’s how hell looks like? I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s truly a place of woe. (laughs)

Xeira ➡ Are you okay?
.

Evlyn ➡ The world is doomed. I will do whatever I can to make sure that I transform this infested world into a version of hell.

Xeira ➡ So what now?

Evlyn ➡ Ready our forces. It’s time to take the world.

Xeira ➡ FINALLY!!!

Iyunloye ➡ Your eminence, I thought you said we should wait until the world is on it’s knees.

Evlyn ➡ We’ll strike in a few days time. Right now, I want you to execute the plan we discussed about.

Iyunloye ➡ Are you certain?

Evlyn ➡ Yes, those foolish witches won’t know what hit them.

Xeira ➡ I don’t know what plans you’re talking about but I want in.

Iyunloye ➡ No. This plan won’t work if you’re part of it.

Evlyn ➡ On a second thought, let’s use Xeira. She could be the perfect ace in the hole.

First came the global plague and hunger that caused plenty of uprising violence and now, the situation is worst than before cause the world’s climate change is now out of balance. Having a snowfall in Ibadan and other states in nigeria plus some other countries who had never experience snow before threw the world in a state of shock. The best scientists all over the world thought that the world might be going through some climatic change but little did they realize, this was just the beginning of a reckoning yet to come.
With the streets and atmosphere of Ibadan filled with thick snow and cold zero temperature, lots of people suffered the consequences. Many rushed to stores, drift markets and okrika joints to buy sweaters and outfits that would keep them warm. Some that didn’t have the money to buy sweaters or couldn’t get one began buying firewoods to keep themselves warm. Despite all of this, many lives were lost. Before long, Ibadan was soon covered in a blizzard which made it impossible for anyone to move around. The blizzard kept almost everyone in their homes, nobody went to work or school. Everyone in Ibadan was locked behind closed doors.
Presently inside my parent’s house, here I was in the living room with the rest of the family talking about how to deal with the current situation affecting the world. Evlyn is steps away from world domination and so far so good, it seems that all we’ve been doing is wasting our time an effort. Stopping the weather storms won’t change anything, the only way to end all of this is by taking out Evlyn.

Aunt Titi ➡ This is getting out of hand. If this keeps up, Evlyn might destroy the world without throwing a punch.

Jezebel ➡ Well, where can we find her? Neither she or her followers have been seen since the night of the invasion.

Constance ➡ I don’t see why we should be engaging in this fight. Evlyn wants the world she can have it. After all, she’s targeting the humans.

Akinbilege ➡ Maybe but who’s to live you’ll live long enough to keep enjoying yourself. If Evlyn succeeds in her plans, it will be the survival of the fittest. The strong preying over the weak.

Aunt Titi ➡ Your grandson is right Constance and your magic won’t be able to keep you safe for long.

Riley ➡ There has to be a way we can find Evlyn. She can’t hide forever.

Rose ➡ Aren’t you all forgetting one small detail? Even if we find that bitch, how are we going to defeat her. Ebinoluwa stood toe to toe with her once and she lost miserably.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Was it necessary for you to say that last part?

Jezebel ➡ So how do we stop her then?

Ebinoluwa ➡ We seal her.

Rose ➡ Come again?

Ebinoluwa ➡ I said we should seal her and this time it will be permanent.

Titi ➡ Sealing magic is our grandma’s speciality. She was so good at it to the extend that she sealed off powerful demons like the one in her necklace.

Christen ➡ Solomon.

Titi ➡ What makes you think you can pull it off?

Ebinoluwa ➡ It’s not going to be easy but it’s going to work. I may have lost a fight with Evlyn but I did learn some things about her. Fighting her with magic is pointless cause all she does is absorb it, so the only way we can get close to her is by nullifying her powers. That’s where Junior comes in.

Junior ➡ Me!?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Yes. Your anti magic is the only shot we have against Evlyn.
.

Oliver ➡ OK but if we’re to get close to her, we need to separate her from Xeira and the others. Those ones are very troublesome.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Don’t worry Uncle, Aunt Rose will handle them with her shadow magic. When it comes to numbers, they can’t win.

Esther ➡ So if we seal her, then what?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I’ll take her somewhere where nobody will be able to reach her.

Akinbilege ➡ That’s a good plan.

Bimpe ➡ I don’t see what can go wrong.

Riley ➡ But I do. Let’s not all get excited just yet. This plan is a good one but let’s not forget this is Evlyn we’re talking about. It’s not like we’re just going to make a move on her without her retaliating. Whether we like it or not, we have to face the fact that some of us won’t make it back alive.

Immediately my dad said that, the whole room became so quiet that you could hear a hairpin drop. Nobody like what my dad said but he was right, there’s a probability that some of us might not be alive when this is all over. Mom who had been silent this whole time, adjusted herself on the sofa looking very disturbed. She leaned over to my dad’s shoulder and held his hand trying to assure him and everything would be okay but he wouldn’t buy any of it.

Christen ➡ Just relax honey, we will make it through this. We always have.
.

Riley ➡ Christen, this is different. We’ve never faced a threat like Evlyn before. Look at what she’s doing to the world. She’s not an enemy we can easily defeat and it would be a miracle if some of us make it through this. This isn’t just a fight between good and evil, this is about the fate of the world.

Christen ➡ So are you saying we should give up?
.

Riley ➡ No, we will fight but not all of us. Some of us have to stay out of this fight.
.

Christen ➡ I hope I’m not one of those you’re asking to stay because I don’t want to.
.

Riley ➡ Christen! you’re carrying our child in you. You’re nearly halfway through your pregnancy. I can’t let you be a part of this and this isn’t an option.

Christen ➡ So I’m just supposed to sit by and watch you die?
.

Riley ➡ We’ll all die someday Christen. Whether you like it or not, death is coming for all of us. Evlyn needs to be stopped if there’s hope for our kids to live a better life. As always I’m always willing to die to keep my family safe.

Christen ➡ Don’t say that. I’d rather watch the whole world burn than to let you die.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Mom, you can’t be serious.
.

Rose ➡ That’s a witch talking right there. Always protect what’s yours. Who cares about the world anyway?

Lionel ➡ Rose, stop it.
.

Rose ➡ Shut up! Who said you can talk to me like that?

Jezebel ➡ ENOUGH!!! This is no time to be arguing amongst ourselves. We need to do something about Evlyn now. Christen, your husband is right. You’re pregnant and your top priority is to deliver the child in you safely.

Christen ➡ How many times do we have to save the world? Haven’t we lost enough already because I’m tired.
.

Riley ➡ Honey If Evlyn wins, there’ll be no place for us and our kids. Think about it. We can’t let her win. I don’t want to live in a world without hope, a world filled with misery and suffering. I know you don’t like this but we need to take Evlyn out. She’s in the way of our happiness.

One of the things I like about my father is that he knows how to sway and handle mom. He knows fully well that she’d do anything to be with him. Fortunately enough, my dad loves my mom so much cause cause if he wasn’t so into her, he might have used her to his own advantage. As soon as my mom heard the words from my dad’s mouth, she eventually changed her mind.

Christen ➡ Alright then. I will stay but promise me that you’ll come back to me cause I don’t know what I’ll do if you don’t.

Riley ➡ I can’t promise you that honey but I’ll try.

Christen ➡ You better.

Lionel ➡ My wife should stay out of this too.

Rose ➡ LIONEL!!!

Titi ➡ Rose, listen to your husband. I’ll decide who’ll take the bull by the horn. In the meantime, this meeting is dismissed.

After that, I left the living room and went straight to my room to avoid the noise that would soon follow after. As soon as I got into my room, I opened the window and balanced myself on it staring at the thick snow that was falling. In that moment, I though about what my dad said and it got me thinking. Fighting Evlyn would definitely cost lives but if that’s what it takes to win, then so be it. Seeing as the cold atmosphere was starting to enter my room, I decided to close the window but just as I was about to do that, I spotted Rotimi in the snow standing outside my window.
