As the smokes clears after the explosion, The demon lord observes the surrounding to see if Rotimi and the others had been caught up in his attack. Seeing that there was no sign or trace of them, the demon lord laughs out mischievously into the night. At the moment, Xeira appears out of nowhere standing before Oba staring at him with disgust and defiance. After realizing the mess that the demon lord had made, Xeira confronts him viciously with harsh words.

Xeira ➡ You stupid fool. Have you lost your mind?

Oba ➡ My…. If it isn’t the luscious Xeira? Why don’t you spread your legs for me and I promise to show you a good time.

Xeira ➡ You worthless dog. Do you have any idea what you’ve done?

Oba ➡ Get off my back, mermaid wh-re! The dark witch said we could do anything we wanted.

Xeira ➡ Yes but you’re over extending your boundaries . Your stupidity is going to bring us unwanted attention and the last thing we need is for us get unnecessary opposition. Pull yourself together and focus.

Oba ➡ Your words are nothing but shit to me. I’m a demon lord and I can do whatever I please. The lion never bows to the hunter.

Xeira ➡ A fool will always be a fool. Keep acting like a wild beast cause mark my words, you’ll get the same fate like all wild beasts which is death in the most brutal way. The shark may be seen as the most fearsome predator in sea but it’s smart enough to know it’s never a match for a jellyfish. Enjoy the rest of your night. (leaves)

[ CHRISTEN ]

Having that 3some with Riley and Bimpe was totally unexpected but I’ll admit that it was incredible and it sure brought back fond memories. For the first time in days, I had the most wonderful sleep and waking up that morning beside my husband felt great. It would have been a great morning if my sister Rose hadn’t appeared and ruined it.

So presently, here I was with Riley and Bimpe in,side Aunt Jezebel’s house. The 3 of us couldn’t help but wonder why we were brought here cause we weren’t the only ones that were present in Aunt Jezebel’s house. Oliver, Adejumo were also present as well . As I stood next to Riley locking hands with him, my brother Oliver approached me.
Ever since I unleashed my fury at him for offering Riley that dangerous job, Oliver and I haven’t spoke since then. He had tried to patch up things with me but I didn’t give him a chance to do so not even when his wife and my best friend Esther had gotten involved and tried to talk on his behalf.

Oliver ➡ Christen.
.

Christen ➡ Oliver.

Oliver ➡ Look, I want to know that I’m sorry for what I did. I know you’re still angry but find it in your heart to forgive me.

Christen ➡ (silence)

Riley ➡ Christen.

Christen ➡ (sighs) Okay, I forgive you but I’m still angry at you. Thanks to you, Riley and I nearly got killed.

Oliver ➡ I’m sorry.

Christen ➡ It’s okay. Where’s Esther?

Oliver ➡ She’s in Rivers but she’ll be back soon.

In that moment, Aunt Jezebel, my father and Rose appeared in the room. Their presence gave me some kind of relief cause ever since Riley and I came here, I was busy wondering why Rose brought us here and now I can do that without hesitation but before I could say anything, Aunt Jezebel addressed us going straight to the point.

Jezebel ➡ Riley… Christen, I’m sorry for bringing asking for your presence here on such short notice but I’ll get straight to the point. Initially, I told your sister to bring you both here to settle your disputes but it seems you’ve already done that. Now it’s time for you both to proceed to the next plan.

Riley ➡ What next plan?

Eli ➡ You too are going to take some time off and trained.

Christen ➡ Trained? What for?
.

Rose ➡ Have you forgotten about your crushing defeat already in the hands of the mermaid?

It hurts to be reminded of that but in all honesty, it wasn’t a crushing defeat. That b-tch was jus full of tricks and cunning and if she had fought fairly, I would have been the victor. Going through training wasn’t necessary for me and even though I was against it, Aunt Jezebel wouldn’t hear of it.

Christen ➡ I don’t need to train. I’m strong enough as it is.
.

Aunt Jezebel ➡ NO! you must train. I have no doubt about your strength but in this kind of fight you need more than that. You lack that dubiousness and deceptive instinct that we witches possess. Do you know the first lesson that witches and wizards learn first above all else?

Rose ➡ How could she? She was busy clinging to mom like a puppy in her childhood days.

Christen ➡ What’s the first lesson?

Jezebel ➡ A witch/wizard must be full of deception, viciousness and cruelty.

Rose ➡ That’s right. The more darker you are, the more powerful you become.

Riley ➡ That’s ridiculous. I don’t believe that. Christen achieved her strength without being any of these things. The power of love always conquers all.

Rose ➡ (laughs) LOVE!? look at this fool? Did love give you a chance to defeat Xeira?… NO, IT DIDN’T.

Jezebel ➡ Listen to me Riley, everything in this life has it’s opposite and each one has it turns. Love doesn’t always win against evil. Sometimes it takes evil to fight evil.

Riley ➡ I stand on what I believe in.

Jezebel ➡ I don’t care what you believe in. All I want is for you and Christen to be strong for the fight that’s about to come. Fortunately, I know the perfect place for you 2 to train and you’ll have to drop your responsibilities and focus on your training.

Riley ➡ We can’t drop our responsibilities, what about our kids?
.

Jezebel ➡ Your kids will be fine. Didn’t you left them once and went for your second honeymoon? I’ll handle your kids while you’re away.

Christen ➡ How long will this training take?
.

Eli ➡ As long as it takes until you’re both strong and ready.

Riley ➡ When does the training start?

In that moment, Aunt Jezebel underneath our feet making Riley and I to fall in,side it. As we fell in,side the portal, we found ourselves falling from the sky, the clouds were dark and thick not to mention that it was sparkling with lightening. Just as we were about to hit the ground, Riley grabbed hold of my w–st and both teleported to the ground.
After reaching to the ground safely, Riley and I looked around observing the place we were in. The place was like an amazon jungle, there was no sign of life, just the rich smell trees and water. I also realized that the sky was filled with dark clouds which made it impossible for me to see what was happening in the sky. Before Riley and I could find out where we were, my father appeared instantly and told us about the kind of place we were in.

Eli ➡ Christen, Riley.
.

Christen ➡ Father, where are we?
.

Eli ➡ You’re in the dimension of the moving landscape. The landscape here changes location at night fall. In order to get out of this place, you need to fight your way to the shining pond which is in the middle of the forest. It’s your only way out.

Riley ➡ But we can’t know what time it is. The sky is covered with clouds and what are we supposed to eat?
.

Eli ➡ That’s all up to you. There are fruits in the forests but they’re not much. This is a survival test. Good luck.

[ ROSE ]

That Riley… As much as I respect the worm, there are moments where I just want to crush him. It’s sickening for me to hear him say that love conquers all. What utter nonsense. The only place that love ever gets to conquer is in the bedroom but outside that it’s null and void. The world is already rotten and people with such beliefs don’t last very long.
For too long Christen has been a soft touch, It’s time for her to start acting like a witch. The world is about to descend into chaos once again and it’s time for her to toughen up. After Christen and Riley were teleported to the shifting landscape dimension, Bimpe showed her displeasure by asking why she wasn’t part of the training.

Bimpe ➡ What’s going on here? Why wasn’t I partnered with Riley and Christen on the training? Wasn’t I summoned here for something else?

Jezebel ➡ Of course you were. But you don’t need training. You’ve mastered your magic excellently but you’re not really the combat type.

Bimpe ➡ So what am I to do?

Rose. ➡ I’ll find something for you to do but for now just stand by. If you’ll all excuse me, Oliver and I need to get to the council. We’ve been summoned.

Jezebel ➡ Well, you better get going.

Rose ➡ Oliver, let’s go.

In that moment, Oliver and I teleported out of Aunt Jezebel’s house and appeared at the council hall seconds later. Shortly after we appeared, we headed to the council chamber where we saw Iyunloye addressing the whole council. It’s been a while since I saw the lazy b-tch and I couldn’t help but wonder what brought her here. After stepping into the chamber, everyone turned at my direction staring at me scornfully. What a bunch of stupid old fools.

WC 1 ➡ Council lady Rose, you’re late.
.

Rose ➡ I’m aware of that. I had to handle some issues.

WC2 ➡ Your disregard for rules is getting out of hand.
.

Rose ➡ Get off my back, you old geezers. Being late isn’t a crime.

Orisaye ➡ Rose.
.

Rose. ➡ Greetings your eminence. (olosho)

Orisaye ➡ The council members are right. You have no respect for the rules and you’re not doing your job well.

Rose ➡ What is that supposed to mean?

Orisaye ➡ You were assigned to handle this uprising threat but you’ve done nothing so far.

Rose ➡ I have but getting information is not easy.
.

Orisaye ➡ I disagree with you. Iyunloye here has gotten adequate information about what’s going on.

Rose ➡ Really?

Iyunloye ➡ Yes, I have. According to the Intel I’ve gathered, there are four culprits responsible for what’s going on. Their ring leader is the rogue princess mermaid Xeira. As for the others, there’s a ghoul, a witch and a demon and together they’re quite formidable. I’ve also learnt that they came across a book which contains long and ancient magic lost to even us Witches. This explains why they’ve been able to transform people into monsters.

Oliver ➡ If I may ask, how did you come about this information?
.

Iyunloye ➡ An act of betrayal. One of their members told me everything in exchange for confidentiality and reward.
.

Something wasn’t right about all of this. Iyunloye isn’t the kind of witch that involves herself in situations like this and what’s more her info was just far from the truth. According to what Riley had told me days after the vicious attack from Xeira, he said that she said something about a dark witch sending her to get him and from the info I’ve gotten from Oliver, there was also a mention of a dark witch. Xeira is strong but there’s no way in hell that she’s the ring leader. Iyunloye’s info sounded like a coverup and a distraction to steer our attention from something else. If only Riley’s safety wouldn’t be in jeopardy, I would have told the council what happened.

Rose ➡ So what are we going to do about these culprits?
.

Orisaye ➡ We’re going to deal with them as usual. Sent out our very best wizards and witches to handle them.

Rose ➡ Fine, I’ll lead the operation.
.

Orisaye ➡ That won’t be necessary. You’re a council lady and I don’t want to hear that you’ve participated in this. Am I clear?

Rose ➡ Very.
.

Orisaye ➡ Good. Iyunloye you may go.
.

Iyunloye ➡ Thank you your eminence. (teleports)

Oliver ➡ (whispering) Sis, what are we going to do?

Rose ➡ Nothing….for now. Let’s see how things will turn out.

[ MORENIKE ]

Crazy things have happened in the last 48 hours but that’s the price one pays when they involve themselves with strange and dangerous people. After Chris and I learnt each other’s secrets, our relationsh¡p has been a little bit awkward. Chris who now knew the existence of supernatural forces was now less composed than he once was and I couldn’t blame him. I felt the same way he once felt when I found out Ebinoluwa was a witch. I couldn’t help but wonder if bringing him into my world was a good idea cause the human mind is fragile and it can only handle so little.
Presently, here I was in the campus grounds with Ebinoluwa studying for our next exams which is in 2 days time. Although the course was simple, I couldn’t concentrate especially not when Ebinoluwa insisted that we were going to deal with the crisis together.
I’m human and this supernatural feud isn’t my thing. I would love to help as well but truth be told, I’ll be useless. As Ebinoluwa and I sat under a shade, Robin suddenly appeared before us. It was a surprise seeing him and his presence made me feel a little bit nervous. I can’t believe that he’s looking so good. What am I even saying?

Robin ➡ Ebinoluwa,… Morenike.
.

Morenike ➡ Hi.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Long time no see. I hope you have a good reason for jumping in on us like that.

Robin. ➡ Sorry but it’s an emergency.

Ebinoluwa ➡ What emergency?

Robin ➡ It’s Rotimi, he’s dying.

Ebinoluwa ➡ WHAT? where is he? What happened?

Robin ➡ He’s at the lounge, Lola is looking after him.

Ebinoluwa flinched as if she was being stabbed in the back. Robin made things even worse by mentioning Lola’s name. In a matter of seconds, Ebinoluwa teleported straight to the lounge leaving me behind, it was Robin who had to teleport us both. As soon as we arrived there seconds later, we entered Rotimi’s place and found Ebinoluwa frozen with shock as she saw her man twitching in pain. Meanwhile, Lola wasn’t the only one in the room, there were other people in there as well. After a while, Ebinoluwa approached and sat next to Rotimi checking him out and while she was doing that, I began to ask questions about what happened.

Morenike ➡ What happened to him?
.

Robin ➡ He was attacked by a demon yesterday.
.

Morenike ➡ A demon?
.

Robin ➡ Yes and that’s not even the worst thing. It turns out the demon is his father.

Morenike ➡ Blood of Jesus.
.

Lola ➡ Abeg shut your mouth. This place no be church.
.

Robin ➡ Lola, watch your mouth.
.

Morenike ➡ No its my fault. Haven’t you guys tried to cure him?

Robin ➡ We have but nothing seems to be working. His aunt even used demonic healing spells but it was useless.

Doris ➡ There’s something in,side him that making the healing spells not to work. If we don’t do something now, he’ll die.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ No he won’t.
.

Robin ➡ What?
.

Austin ➡ Is there something you can do?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ There is. The healing spells you used is not strong enough to work on Rotimi but I have one that will but in order to use it on him, you’ll all have to get out and leave us both alone for a while.

Lola ➡ And why should we do that?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Because I’m going to sleep with him.

Robin ➡ AH!
.

Lola ➡ Ashawo.
.

Morenike ➡ Are you serious right now?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Yes. In order for the healing spell to work, I need to sleep with him. So if you don’t want him to die, I suggest you all leave now.
