In all my years, I never thought that the day would come when I would be bested by a human. The thought of losing to a miserable Alailagbara makes my blood boil and my stomach hurt ; the worst part of it all is that this same human is busy enjoying the delicious nectar of the fruit nurtured to perfection. It hurts so much that I want to rip that human to shreds but as painful as it is for me to admit, there’s nothing that I can do to change the past.

However the human isn’t the reason behind my pain and misery, the one responsible for the pain I’m going through is that ungrateful whore called Rose. Thinking about all I’ve done for that b-tch just makes me want to explode. Her betrayal has caused me too much suffering and now it is time for me to give her a taste of her own medicine. At first, I thought getting my revenge would be easy but it seems like I was bravely mistaken. I should have never underestimated Rose in the first place, her magic had increased immensely in the last three centuries but I couldn’t help but sense something darker and sinister in her magic. However, if I’m to get my revenge on that b-tch, I have to use any means necessary. This time I’m going to be the one who laughs last.

After escaping from the clutches of Rose, I dragged myself back to Evlyn’s fortress where I was received by Iyunloye. At first, I thought I was going to die but it seems that my time isn’t yet up. As I was busy receiving treatment for my injuries, Iyunloye began to gloat about my failure but her words were nothing compared to the pain and humiliation I got hours ago.

Iyunloye ➡ This is what happens when you don’t learn from the past. I also forgot to mention that Rose is way stronger than you comprehend. She’s out of your league. You may control the dead, Mayé but she controls the darkness and witches thrive in darkness.

Mayé ➡ I would really appreciate it if you shut that mouth of yours! I may have lost this fight but I will get my revenge.
.

Iyunloye ➡ Rose will kill you. Next to Evlyn, she’s the most feared witch. Her name alone makes everyone tremble with fear.

Mayé ➡ She may be for now but once I get rid of her, I’ll be the one that will be feared.

Iyunloye ➡ (laughs)

Mayé ➡ What’s so funny?
.

Iyunloye ➡ Oh Mayé.. It seems your time in Apoti Esu has really closed your eyes. The world isn’t the same as it used be. Back in the old days, you were feared and powerful but now there are beings that are way powerful than you. For starters, Rose’s sister Christen is also a powerful witch, though she’s not feared like her sister but she’s a freak. Don’t let her quiet nature fool you. I’ve seen how dangerous she can be if she’s pushed into the corner. The next powerful beings on the list are the mermaid princess, Xeira and Zenti.

Mayé ➡ Mermaids!? Seriously?

Iyunloye ➡ These are not ordinary mermaids fool, they’re have royal blood running in their veins.. Royal mermaids are nearly as powerful as high ranking demons. I’ve seen and felt what a royal mermaid can do and it is terrifying.

Mayé ➡ It seems I’ve missed alot.

Iyunloye ➡ You certainly have, that is why you need to understand this changed world before you step into it.

Mayé ➡ So are there any more powerful beings?

Iyunloye ➡ Of course. The mistress Evlyn and Ebinoluwa are the only 2 most powerful supernatural beings in existence.

Mayé ➡ Ebinoluwa!? Who is she?

Iyunloye ➡ Rose’s niece and Christen’s daughter.
.

Mayé ➡ So she’s a hybrid?
.

Iyunloye ➡ Yes, the first of her kind.
.

Mayé ➡ What of her magic?
.

Iyunloye ➡ she can master any kind of magic just by mere glance of it.
.

Mayé ➡ So you’re saying she can copy my necromancy in mere seconds just by looking.
.

Iyunloye ➡ Exactly. So you see Mayé, in this era you’re nothing but a footnote.

Mayé ➡ WATCH YOUR TONGUE, B-TCH!!! I may have lost tonight but I will not lose again.
.

Evlyn ➡ For your own sake you better not.
.

Startled by the sinister voice of Evlyn behind them, Mayé and Iyunloye both freeze with fright and just as they were about to turn around, Evlyn appears before them with cold deadly looks in her eyes. Staring at Mayé mockingly, Evlyn uses her mind to strangle him in mid-air forcing him to choke.

Evlyn ➡ YOU FILTH!!! I had high hopes for you but you turned out to be a disappointment.
.

Mayé ➡ (gagging and coughing)
.

Evlyn ➡ I wasted my precious time releasing you dogs from your captivity and this is what I get.
.

Iyunloye ➡ Your eminence, may I speak in his defense?
.

Evlyn ➡ Sure but I hope you say something very convincing if not, you will join him as well.
.

Iyunloye ➡ Mayé’s defeat was expected, he went into the fight unprepared and outmatched.
.

Evlyn ➡ So who was it that humiliated him?
.

Iyunloye ➡ The shadow witch Rose.
.

Evlyn ➡ Ebinoluwa’s aunt… My, my.. Something tells me I should have recruited her first. She always seem to get the job done. Very well Mayé, I will spare you but mark my words, if you fail me next time, your skull will be my drink cup. Understand?

Mayé ➡ (nods)

Evlyn ➡ Iyunloye!
.

Iyunloye ➡ Yes your eminence?
.

Evlyn ➡ Hasten our plans for the gathering, send out a message of every witch, wizard and other supernatural being. Let them know that where the gathering will be.

After her statement, Evlyn releases Mayé and disappears out of sight leaving the wizard in an uncomfortable state. Iyunloye who was busy studying Mayé’s reaction laughed casually and then tapped the wizard on his shoulder.
.

Iyunloye ➡ If I were you, I’d calculate my next move cause if you mess up again, death will surely await you.
.

Mayé ➡ I AM DEATH! I AM IT’S NAVIGATOR!! I will not threatened by some old witch.
.

Iyunloye ➡ (laughs) That’s where you’re wrong Mayé. Evlyn isn’t some old witch. She is the most powerful witch that has ever walked this earth and the depths of magics is at her disposal. Your necromancy is nothing but child play’s to her. Her own necromancy is god-like compared to yours. If you think that you’re useful here then you’re fooling yourself. You’re nothing more than a pawn in Evlyn’s game of world domination and you want to be part of that world, I suggest you play your part well. You may be free but your life is hanging on a thread, your life could be snuffed out in a blink of an eye and it will be like you never existed. Am I making sense?

Mayé ➡…… Yes. Anything else?
.

Iyunloye ➡ No. If you’ll excuse me, I need to go relay her eminence’s message. You stay here and relax while your wounds get healed. You should be ready for what’s to come in the few upcoming days.

After making her statement, Iyunloye disappears instantly leaving Mayé to wonder if he was blessed or cursed to have been freed from his confinement. The wizard knew that Iyunloye wasn’t kidding about what he said, Evlyn’s tremendous dark aura and magical energy was enough to let him know that the ancient witch was out of his league. Whilst Mayé was busy thinking over his condition, Xeira emerges into the room coming face to face with the wizard who had also fixed his eyes directly into hers. Without wasting anymore time, Xeira voices her thoughts to the Mayé and offers him an interesting proposal.

Xeira ➡ So you’re the infamous Mayé? Rose’s Ex? You surely didn’t meet my expectations.

Xeira ➡ Your ex! She has both humiliated us and some needs to teach that witch a lesson. I was hoping we could partner up and take her out.

Mayé ➡ Why should I waste my time aligning myself with you?

Xeira ➡ Because I’m stronger than you and I know where to strike that b-tch Ex of yours where it hurts.

Mayé ➡ I’m listening. What do you have in mind?

🎀 LIONEL 🎀

Driving around Ibadan at 2:00am after a gruesome fight with my wife’s Ex is nothing but sheer torture. Apart from the pain I was feeling from my injuries, I was also feeling very exhausted and sleepy that my body felt that it could collapse at any moment. That b-stard Mayé may have ruined the night for Rose and I but I’m also angry at the witch wife of mine who still treats me like her dog.
As much as I hate to admit it, Mayé was right. I’m just a patsy being pushed around and as the man of the house, I don’t get any respect. Why can’t I be on the same level with my brother Riley? Christen treats him with respect and she doesn’t toy him around some puppet. I thought I could live like this but I just can’t. Dangerous or not, Rose must understand where her position is, I’m her husband and I demand some respect.
After driving around the city without seeing any milkmaid on the streets, I decided to drive to my brother’s place to see if he had some to help me with. It’s been a while since I came to my old neighborhood and now that everything has changed, I barely recognize it anymore. The neighborhood that was once common is now an estate, this surely proves that nothing lasts forever. After arriving at the neighborhood, I drove straight to the path that led to Riley’s house but upon getting there, I realized there was no passage. Trees had blocked the place and there was no other way for me to pass through. Just as I was about to step out of the car, a big hawk landed on my windshield and stared directly at my face. It’s yellow eyes was bright and shiny and it had this mean gaze as if it had it’s prey. In that moment, I wanted to turn on my window wipers to scare it away but before I could do that, it began to speak to me.

Ovarkt ➡ Lionel Femi, what brings you here by this time of the night?
.

Lionel ➡ Jesus Christ.. Who are you and how do you know my name?
.

Ovarkt ➡ I am Christen’s demon servant. I know all about you, your brother and your late parents. So why are you here?
.

Lionel ➡ I’m sorry if I disturbed anyone’s night but my wife Rose is starving and I was hoping if my brother has something to help me with.
.

Ovarkt ➡ Rose? Your mean Christen’s sister?
.

Lionel. ➡ Yes.
.

Ovarkt ➡ Why didn’t you say so? I’ll go inform Christen to let you through.

Lionel ➡ Thanks, I’ll be waiting.
.

In that moment, the hawk flew straight into the air instantly and headed straight towards Riley’s house. I thought I was going to stay here for while but then to my surprise, it only took a few seconds. A few seconds after the hawk flew away, the big trees that blocked my path began to move sideways opening a straight path for me to get through. My eyes popped wide open as I saw this amazing phenomenon and as much as I would like to rewatch it again, I had no time to waste. After driving through the path opened for me, I arrived at Riley’s house where I saw Christen standing in front of the door wearing a long black silk robe. After alighting from the car, I went over to her place but as I got closer, I realized that Christen was a little bit pissed and it was obvious why she was feeling this way. Judging from her appearance, I could tell that she was busy with my brother and my unexpected appearance must have ruined that but I must say, she sure looks hot.
Ogling at my brother’s wife isn’t cool but what man can take his eyes after seeing her appearance. Her long natural hair was really messed up and her n-pples were pointing out through her robe, her smooth fair skin was wet with sweat not to mention one of her thighs which was out in the open.

Lionel ➡ Christen.. I’m sorry for coming at this ungodly hour.
.

Christen ➡ You should be. What do you want?
.

Lionel ➡ Your sister, she’s hungry and there’s no fura or honey left. Do you have some left to help me with?
.

Christen ➡ Let me check.
.

In a blink of an eye, Christen disappeared into thin air and seconds later, 2 jars of honey, a small leather filled with fura and 2 small gallons of milk appeared at my feet. Christen never came out to say goodbye but I didn’t mind since I got what I came for. Immediately I packed up everything, I entered my car and drove straight home.

🎃 Writer’s Pov 🎃

With his hands tightly lurched on the wheels, Lionel races through the quiet dark streets in Nancy’s car. The time was 2:30am and the night was still pretty dark not to mention dangerous for anyone to be out alone. Just as Lionel was about to reach home, he encounters something or someone unexpected on his path and that someone was his wife Rose.

Standing defiantly in the middle of the road with her arms folded across her full breasts, Rose fixes her gaze viciously at the incoming speeding car which is being driven by her husband. Before things could get really ugly, Lionel hits the brakes hard and grinds his teeth as the tyres screech loudly in the atmosphere leaving a black mark on the cold paved room. As soon as the car stops, Lionel steps out of the car fuming with anger but he quickly calms himself down and tries to talk to his wife without losing his mind but unfortunately, that doesn’t go smoothly.

Lionel ➡ WITCH…..What the hell are you doing?
.

Rose ➡ Is there something you want to get off your chest?
.

Lionel ➡ That’s not important..
.

Rose ➡ Don’t try and change the subject dog! Is there something you want to get off your chest? OUT WITH IT!
.

Lionel ➡ No.
.

Rose ➡ (laughs) What’s the matter? Afraid that I might hurt you, hmm? You may be amazing in bed but you’re nothing a yellow sheep.
.

Unable to bear the venomous words of his wife, Lionel flips with rage and bangs his fist on the hood of the car yelling at his wife. Rose who was surprised by the sudden turn of events tickled with joy on the inside admiring this side of her husband.
.

Lionel ➡ I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!! ALRIGHT!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! YOU WANT KNOW WHAT I WANT TO SAY TO YOU RIGHT? ALRIGHT, HERE IT IS. YOU ARE AN EVIL CRUEL AND SELFISH BITCH OF A WIFE!! I’M TIRED OF YOU PUSHING ME AROUND AND TREATING ME LIKE A DOG. I’M YOUR HUSBAND AND HUMAN OR NOT, I DEMAND RESPECT!!

Rose ➡ (chuckles) Wow, that was..
.

Before Rose could finish her statement, Lionel drops an unexpected slap across her cheek taking her completely by surprise. Stunned by her husband’s actions, Rose stares at him in disbelief as she sees the straight angry look on Lionel’s face. There was no sign of remorse or regret, all Rose could see was the looking of a man that has been pushed to the edge. Despite looking tough on the outside, Lionel’s heart raced with fear wondering what Rose might do to him but to his surprise, she only laughed at her face licking her lower lip.

Rose ➡ (laughs) Oh Mephistoph! Who would have thought that my husband has such fire in him. I’m truly surprised and turned on. Normally, I would kill you for slapping me but I’ll let it slide.
.

Lionel ➡ ENOUGH!! This isn’t funny. You’ve been a pest and now it’s time you to behave.
.

Rose ➡ Is that so? What are you doing to huh? Do you even have the balls to be man enough! (winks)
.

Lionel ➡ Enough of your sharp tongue, you flirting witch! You’re going to get what’s coming to you.
.

Like a man possessed, Lionel reaches out to Rose, grabs her and tosses her on the hood of Nancy’s car wildly. Surprised by her husband’s actions, Rose remains still and waits patiently to see what would happen next. In that moment, Lionel pulls down his trouser and joins Rose on the hood where he penetrates and ravishes her savagely and mercilessly. After feeling the swift and brutal thrusts of her husband’s d–k smashing her honey pot, Rose moans and yells out loud pleasurably into the silent night as she braces herself. Within a few minutes, the atmosphere was shattered screams of pleasure that seemed to be increasing gradually and as if that wasn’t noisy enough, the hood of Nancy’s car soon began to make metallic sounds thanks to the wild movements made by Lionel and Rose as they ravished each other like rabbits in heat. After spending minutes of ravishing and popping off each other’s org-sm, Rose and Lionel both collapse on the hood of the car breathing slowly. Despite being naked in the coolness of the night, both couple were covered in sweat as they each stare at the stars. After a brief moment of silence, Lionel sits up on the hood and grabs his trousers but before he could cover himself, Rose crawls up behind him and wraps herself behind him rubbing her hands on his chest.

Rose. ➡ Where are you going, hmm?
.

Lionel ➡ We should head home, pack our stuff and find someplace else to stay for the night.
.

Rose ➡ What’s the rush huh? Where’s that fiery commanding male that just f–ked my brains out minutes go?
.

Lionel ➡ Listen woman! We have to go. It’s not safe out here.
.

Just as Rose was about to say something, Aunt jezebel appears instantly creating a rather uncomfortable situation for herself and the couple. Lionel who was totally embarrassed jumps off the hood grabbing his clothes as he heads behind the car.

Lionel ➡ JESUS CHRIST!!
.

Aunt Jezebel ➡ OH MEPHISTOPH!!! (covers his face)
.

Rose ➡ Aunt, what’s the meaning of this?
.

Jezebel ➡ Seriously!? What has gotten into you? You’re 540yrs old and you’re behaving like a teenage girl? I can’t help but wonder where else you’ll spread your legs again. Besides what happened to your house?
.

Rose ➡ Long story. Why are you here Aunty?
.

Jezebel ➡ Don’t forget that Evlyn will make her public appearance in the next 24hrs. Bring your sister tomorrow to the council hall tomorrow. It’s time to go to war.
