Chapter 49 :- Christen Vs Xeira

After witnessing the brutal state of Riley, Christen boils with rage as she prepares to battle with the mermaid in front of her. In a twinkle of an eye, Christen rushes head on unleashing powerful bursts of wind and lightening at the mermaid. Seeing that the witch before her had already made her move, Xeira quickly dodges as she runs around tje forest with great speed. Unfortunately for the mermaid, she was soon intercepted by the giant roots that had suddenly emerged from the ground. The roots then descended on Xeira trying to crush her to death. Despite how fast she was moving, Xeira couldn’t avoid all the roots, one of them managed to land a terrible blow and coil around her but before Christen could crush her to pieces, Xeira soon summons her water rings around her doing the exact same thing she had done earlier.
Riley who was watching from the sidelines as the battle was going on knew what was coming next. In that moment, he gathers all his strength and hurls himself at his wife pulling her down and in that same moment, Xeira unleashes her water rings all around making it to cut down all the roots that had risen up from the ground. Shortly after that, Xeira then uses her magic to scatter the water rings into tiny dots around the forest and as soon as she does that, she unleashes them all around the forest. As the tiny dots of water whizz around like bullets, the forest was soon decimated and destroyed and while this was going on, Christen uses the tree roots to shield Riley while she charges head on towards Xeira. Thanks to her young agile body and teleportation techniques , Christen was able to dodge the tiny dots of water gracefully but she couldn’t do that for long. Seeing that the mermaid was hærd to get close to, Christen launches herself into the air and quickly casts a spell on the ground that the mermaid stood on. In a blink of an eye, giant mutated worms erupt from the ground trying to feed on the mermaid but before that could happen, Xeira jumps in the sky to avoid them but unfortunately for her she had fallen right into Christen’s trap. Seizing the opportunity granted in her Favour, Christen teleports herself toward Xeira smooching her with a powerful kick on her face, the mermaid too attacks Christen but she only managed to scratch her leg. After a series of punches and kicks, Christen nails the mermaid hærd onto the ground with a powerful lightening blast that shook the forest like an earthquake. After the devastating impact, all was quiet.

Thinking that the mermaid was dead, Christen lands on the ground heading towards Riley but before she could get to him, something strange begins to happen to her. All of a sudden, Christen collapses on the ground sweating all over. Her breathing becomes heavy and senses becomes unstable. Within a matter of seconds, Christen’s body had become numb and temporarily paralyzed. Suddenly in that very moment, a small pool of water popped up beneath the ground where the lightening had struck. Once the water had fully emerged from the ground, it began to take a feminine shape and as it turns out the small pool of water was the mermaid Xeira, it was one of her special abilities which she had used on Riley earlier and had now used it once more just as she was close to being struck by lightening. After regaining her true form, the sly mermaid laughs as she approaches Christen and as soon as gets to her place, mockery and assaults follow.

Xeira ➡ My, that was close. You were not as weak as I thought you’d be. It was my fault for underestimating you but that will not happen again. Now then, how’s the venom?…. That’s right, you witches very well know that we mermaids never fight fair and we always like to carry a little venom with us. It won’t kill you but it will give me all the time I need to inflict some pain on you like this.

Flickering her sharp claws, Xeira instantly slashes it on Christen’s back slashing her, she then proceeds to prick her with it brutally. Meanwhile, Riley who was enraged by this, instantly teleports to Christen’s place and smooches Xeira with a devastating blow in her midsection. The mermaid pulls back for a minute but then suddenly charges towards Riley with razor sharp wh¡ps made of water.
Seeing that Christen was in a critical condition, Riley charges on towards the mermaid determining to fight her off at all cost. After witnessing Christen’s fight with Xeira, Riley too decides to change his fighting style by using combo attacks and teleportation. After summoning a pistol in his hand, Riley begins to unleash hell on the mermaid.
The second round of fight between Riley and Xeira happened so fast that it was impossible for any normal man to see or witness. The forest was shook to it’s core as the 2 fought bitterly and this time around Xeira was the one on the receiving end. Riley who was motivated by rage went all out giving the mermaid a beating she would never forget but unfortunately for him, his rage had consumed him to the extent that he wasn’t thinking clearly. Meanwhile, Xeira who was maddened by the turn of events quickly studied Riley’s pattern of fighting and immediately prepared for a counter attack.
Suddenly, Xeira attacks Riley with her water wh¡ps creating an opening for herself and as soon as she does that, she unleashes her powerful s¢ræm blowing away Riley and anything that stood in front of her. The sound waves of Xeira s¢ræms echoes the forest to the extent she was creating vibrations. Riley who was tremendously affected by the sound waves falls on his knees covering his ears painfully. Before long, his ears began to bleed and his ear drums began to ache putting him in a very uncomfortable state.
Seeing that her victims were incapacitated by her attack, Xeira cancels her s¢ræm and then approaches Riley and Christen staring down at both of them with mockery.

Xeira ➡ That was one interesting fight but I’m afraid I’m going to wrap this up. Time to die, witch.

Riley ➡ Stay away from Christen, you b-tch.
.

Xeira ➡ Christen…. Hold on.. It can’t be… CHRISTEN!? THE CHRISTEN!? The shadow witch’s sister? The first witch b-tch that mated with a human….. And you.. You must be…. HA, HA, HA, HA, HA…. UNBELIEVABLE!! You’re Riley?! I heard you were dead! By the sea gods.. This night just got more interesting.

In that moment, Riley tries to get back to his feet but he was pinned down by Xeira’s vicious stomp at the back of his head. She glares at the human wickedly pressing her foot h-rder on his head.

Xeira ➡ STAY DOWN DOG! The mistress wants you in one piece but I don’t mind hurting you before I do that. What I’d like to know is, what are you? You lack the scent that humans have. Something about you isn’t right.
.

Riley ➡ Go… to….hell.
.

Xeira ➡ (kicks Riley’s head) BETTER WATCH YOUR MOUTH OR I’LL…..
.

Suddenly before Xeira could finish her statement, a powerful gush of wind hits her hærd like a bullet sweeping her off her feet and straight into the air. Before the mermaid could react, she was nailed hærd onto the ground by triple lighting bolts within a matter of seconds. Feeling hurt and bruised, Xeira staggers back to her feet and yells in anger but before she could realize what was going on, Rotimi appears with incredible speed creaming the mermaid with devastating punches all over her body. However, Xeira manages to turn things around pretty quick by using her ferocious hand to hand combat.
Rotimi who was no where near the mermaid’s caliber was soon dealt with but before things could look pretty bad for the half demon, Ebinoluwa appears on the scene blasting away Xeira with a huge flame blast which sent the mermaid flying like a stone from a catapult. Enraged by this unexpected attack, Xeira summons her water rings and charges towards Ebinoluwa with the intent to kill but before she could get close, the young witch vaporizes her water rings transforming it into steam. Despite that, Xeira charges on and physically attacks Ebinoluwa but it had no effect. In a twinkle of an eye, Xeira’s attacks backfires on her thanks to Ebinoluwa’s rebounce spell which was in full effect.
Feeling the taste of her own bitter medicine made the Xeira repulse the young witch before her, she immediately pulls back and tries to figure out a sneaky way to counter attack. Meanwhile, Ebinoluwa who was getting warmed up tries to chase Xeira but Riley calls out to her and persuades her not to follow the mermaid.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Coward! Don’t think that I’ll you escape.
.

Riley ➡ Ebinoluwa, don’t follow her. She’s full of tricks and cunning. Stand your ground.
.

Xeira ➡ EBINOLUWA!? So you’re the one? You’re the one the mistress has been looking for. The hybrid witch.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Which mistress are you talking about? What’s her deal with me?
.

Xeira ➡ Don’t worry little one, you’re going to find out soon enough but in the mean time, that man there is mine.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Come on then, I dare you to step closer. I’ll make sure that I’ll be the last thing you see.
.

Xeira ➡ COCKY B-TCH, I’M GOING TO MAKE YOU REGRET EVER SAYING THOSE WORDS.

After clearing out her lungs, Xeira tries to use her powerful s¢ræm on Ebinoluwa but before she could do that, the young witch had already made her move. In a twinkle of an eye, Ebinoluwa casts a powerful illusion spell around Xeira by making her to see her worst fears. Xeira struggles for a while but thanks to her unshakable willpower, she was able to free herself from the illusion but all of this was just a trap to lure her into the real attack. Just as Xeira was about to attack Ebinoluwa, she notices a big bright red circle surrounding the ground she stood on. She stares at Ebinoluwa who’s face was marked with a vicious smile.

Xeira ➡ What are you up to, you little b-tch?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I just want to find out if you’ll have the same delicious aroma as the regular fish once I’m done roasting you alive.
.

Xeira ➡ ARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Angered by Ebinoluwa’s words, Xeira tries to get out of the bright circle but before that could happen, Ebinoluwa snaps her fingers and activates the spell. In an instant, the very s₱0t that Xeira stood on exploded sky high engulfing the forest with flames. Thinking that Xeira was dead, Ebinoluwa tries to extinguish the flames but something unbelievable occurs.
Surprised and shock by what she was seeing, Ebinoluwa watches as Xeira emerges out of the flames protecting herself with a huge ball of water that surrounded her. After she had stepped out of the flames, Xeira creates a vortex in,side the ball of water she’s in and then stares back at Ebinoluwa with a vicious gaze.

Xeira ➡ This isn’t over, witch. We’ll meet again and I promise you, you won’t be victorious. Enjoy the remaining peaceful days you have cause mark my words, the storm is fast approaching.

After uttering that unpleasant statement, Xeira disappears into the vortex along with her ball of water. As soon as the mermaid was gone, Ebinoluwa quickly extinguishes the flames and rushes towards her parents to see if they’re okay. Seeing that Christen was in a critical position, Ebinoluwa casts a healing spell on her and as soon as she did that, she grabs both her parents and teleport them home along with Rotimi.

Meanwhile somewhere in quiet deserted streets of Osogbo, a young couple enjoy their moment making hot steamy love to one another. Ignorant by the quietness of their surroundings, the couple began to express their enjoyment by m0-ning out loud especially the female lover who was savouring the balls deep thr-sts of her male companion.

Female lover ➡ (speaking Yoruba) Ahhh, Ahhhh, iwo lo n se mi were Wale.. Yeeeeh.
.

Unfortunately for the couple, their intimate moment was ruined by the apperance of Xeira who had instantly popped out of a stagnant pool of water that was few meters away from the couple. Upon seeing the dreadful mermaid behind them, the couple s¢ræmed out fearfully trying to make their escape but before they could move a muscle, Xeira instantly murders them brutally tearing their bodies apart.
After unleashing her brutality, Xeira proceeds to Evlyn’s fortress and finally arrives there minutes later. As Xeira makes her was into the fortress, she meets Evlyn in a pool of boiling blood bathing along side Iyunloye and the other generals.

Iyunloye ➡ Well, look who has finally returned.
.

Ujo ➡ You look messy, Xeira.
.

Oba ➡ Something tells me you had a rough time.
.

Evlyn ➡ Xeira, I hope you have some good news for me?
.

Xeira ➡ (silence)
.

Bakin Maye ➡ HEY! Her eminence is talking to you.
.

Angered by the ghoul’s words, Xeira uses her water wh¡ps to pull him out of the pool and as soon as she draws him closer to her feet, She stomps on his head hærd pulling out one of his eyes in the process. Feeling the immense pain and the loss of his left eye, Bakin Maye s¢ræms painfully and struggles feebly underneath Xeira’s heel.

Evlyn ➡ Calm down Princess.. I can feel your rage. What happened on your mission? Where’s Akin?
.

Xeira ➡ That useless pawn is dead. Everything was going smoothly but then… ARRGGGHHH!!!
.

Oba ➡ My….she’s losing her mind.
.

Evlyn ➡ XEIRA! CALM YOURSELF AND SPEAK! WHAT HAPPENED?
.

In that brief moment, Xeira surprises everyone by laughing out loud for some seconds. After she was done laughing, Xeira begins to narrate what had happened to her on her mission in Ibadan.

Xeira ➡ I found out the identity of the mysterious hunter. It turns out he’s the infamous Riley. The human that married a witch.
.

Iyunloye ➡ IMPOSSIBLE!!! THAT CAN’T BE! He died 10yrs ago. I even heard that resurrection won’t work on him due to some reasons.
.

Xeira ➡ Well, I was him. He’s alive and well but he’s not human anymore.
.

Evlyn ➡ What do you mean not human?
.

Xeira ➡ Well, he looks human but he’s not human. He does things like witches and wizards do except for magic. His dear wife came to his aid. She was strong but she lacks mischief and sinister intent. Her mingling with that human has made her soft. That kind of behavior is very bad for a witch.
.

Iyunloye ➡ So what happened?
.

Xeira ➡ I had them. I incapacitated them both but I was intercepted by an unexpected foe and you won’t who it was.
.

Evilyn ➡ Who was it? Tell me.
.

Xeira ➡ Ebinoluwa, their daughter. She’s a freak and unlike her mother, she has the knack for evil. We need to get her on our side. She could learn a lot from you, Mistress.
.

Evlyn ➡ HA, HA, HA, HA, HA. Oh Xeira, you’re a shrewd one. I wasn’t expecting this outcome but I’m glad it did. Your suggestion is not bad and besides it would be waste for me to kill a witch who untapped potential. Very well, I’ll love to check the little flower out but first, I need to test her and see if she’s worth my attention. Iyunloye, any news about the Anti magic user?

Iyunloye ➡ No, your eminence.

Evlyn ➡ Okay then, listen up my generals. Nobody should touch Ebinoluwa, she’s mine but her family and friends, they’re yours to do as you wish.

Iyunloye ➡ Your eminence, may I speak?

Evlyn ➡ What is it?
.

Iyunloye ➡ Doing that would be dangerous. By now, I’m sure the shadow witch is aware of Xeira’s attack on her sister and brother in law. It’s pretty obvious that she could be out for blood and I must say that none of your generals is powerful enough to take her head on. I know her and what she’s capable of. It’s best if we avoid Ebinoluwa and her family for now and carry out our plans.

Xeira ➡ I hate to admit it but she’s right. That Christen was tough, Rose will be a much tougher opponent for me to handle on land. If it were at sea, I’d easily defeat her.

Evlyn. ➡ I DON’T CARE!! let the gates of hell open for all I care. Just remember not to touch the young witch. She’s mine. In the meantime, there is something I would like to add. Iyunloye.

Iyunloye ➡ Yes, your eminence?
.

Evlyn ➡ Summon all those monsters we created and destroy them. It’s time for me to unleash the real horror into the world.
