{ First Mission}

“Eleven of us were at the party. If we put aside me and the RFR which are five in numbers then that will be five students from Wilmer high left” Beth said as she, Calvin and Raymond sat in his study going over their mission.

“From what I know they are two girls in the RFR. Katrina and Joseph or is it Jessica? ” Raymond trailed off getting the name wrong.

“It’s Josephine and I will check on them later on but we should focus on the five remaining students cause they are the hardest hurdle” she said.

“Care to explain on that?”Calvin asked and she did.

“Amongst the five remaining student, we have four girls,two from second year and two from our year. I will start my search with the second year students first” Beth said.

“Who are this two girls from the second year?” Calvin asked.

“Abigail Adams and Sandra Jenkins. I will start off with Abigail and then to Sandra ” Beth said.

“Will it be easy for you?” Raymond asked worriedly.

“It isn’t going to be easy cause I can’t just approach them and say ‘hey I wanna see if there’s a mole on shoulder’ but don’t worry, when I set my mind on something, I do it with utmost devotion” Beth said smiling slowly.

“Fine then. It’s settled first mission begins tomorrow” Raymond said.

“Doesn’t that call for a toast or some thing?” Raymond added starring at Calvin and Beth.

“Sorry, but have got to go and etch my plan so I don’t make a mistake. See you later ” she said leaving the room in a rush.

“Just what did you do to convince her?” Raymond asked.

“She needed my help on getting back at someone and also to protect her mom and so she agreed in exchange for me providing that for her” Calvin replied.

“Really? Don’t you think that it’s because she has fallen for you?” Raymond asked suddenly.

“What nonsense are you spewing?” Calvin asked getting out of his seat.

“I couldn’t help but to notice that she kept smiling your way and just the other day, she glared at you and also insulted you. You’ve got some charms up your sleeve” Raymond joke.

“I haven’t gotten any charm and I doubt if she likes me like you’ve said and besides the reason why we are doing this is to find my girl, so quit your nonsense and go find some thing to do” Calvin said.

“Never say Never Calvin, who knows Beth might make you forget your girl as you’ve put it”

“Beth is only a child so stop pairing us together” Calvin caution.

“And you are only twenty five, not too old for her” Raymond said making Calvin sigh out loudly.

“If you aren’t going to leave then I will, there are some times when you are annoying” Calvin said leaving his study while Raymond laughter kept coming after her.

~ WILMER HIGH ~ JUNIOR RESTROOM

“Am in the junior student rest room right now” Beth said into the reciever as she spoke to Calvin.

“Don’t worry, I will just have a look if Abigail have the mole then I will leave. Don’t worry, It won’t be a mess” Beth whispered even as she end the call.

She was about leaving the stall when she heard a loud bang.

“Where’s that ugly sea monster?” A girl said.

“We know you are in here” Another called out and Beth was startled when they hit her door.

She heard a door open and laughter of the two girls who were banging the door.

“You monster! What did I tell you about staying away from Philip” a girl said just as Beth heard another voice groan out.

“Are they bullying her?” Beth muttered as she open the door to her stall a little.

She saw two girls, one she recognized as Abigail and the other was a nobody but then the girl who was being bullied by Abigail and her friend got Beth feeling sad.

“You should tell that to Philip cause he keeps coming to me no matter how I send him away?” The girl said.

“Ugh! What do you think of yourself? You are ugly, without money, without friends and yet you want to be with someone like Philip, dream again cause he is already mine” Abigail said still clutching on the girl hair.

“Then tell that to him, tell that to him so he can leave me alone!” The girl yelled even as Abigail slapped her on the face.

“Seems like little sea monster doesn’t know her place, should I teach her a think or two?” Abigail friend asked.

“Do and make sure you leave her looking more ugly so Philip won’t look her way” Abigail said and just when her friend move towards the poor girl they were bullying.

Beth got out of the stall quickly moving towards Abigail friend to push her away.

“And who is this?” Abigail asked even as Beth help the girl in whom they referred to as sea monster up.

“And who are you to hit her?” Beth asked facing them.

“So you are playing hero? ” Abigail friend asked moving towards Beth but gave her a kick which got her sprawling on the floor.

“Wanna have some?” Beth asked Abigail who shrank back in fear.

“Common” Beth said pulling the bullied girl out of the rest room.

~ SCHOOL INFIRMARY ~

“That’s it” Beth said after putting the band aid on the girl cheek cause Abigail slap had cause a small injury on her cheek.

The girl stood up wanting to leave but Beth pulled her back.

“You should report them if they do it again” Beth said.

“Report? Abigail is the Principal niece and that’s why she can do whatever she wants, so tell me how a loser like myself can win against her?” The girl said yelling at Beth.

“By not giving up,by showing those bitches that you are more stronger and powerful. I know how you feel cause I went through the same thing and that’s only because I gave them the opportunity but if you stand up against them then surely they will stay away” Beth said while she stared at her.

“You can do it ” Beth said gently squeezing her hand.

“As long as Abigail have the upper hand then I can’t do a thing” the girl said even as she pulled her hand out of Beth.

She open the door only to see Eric at the door way.

“I went to your class only to be told that you are here and…..” Eric stop talking when the girl walk past him, ignoring him.

Eric stared at her for a second or two before coming into the infirmary.

“What happen to her?” Eric asked.

“I don’t owe you an explanation ” Beth said wanting to walk past him but he pulled her back.

“What the f*ck happen to my sister?” He yelled startling Beth.

“Your sister? She is your sister?” Beth asked.

“She is and so tell me what happen to her?” Eric demanded which got her angry.

“You should know afterall you are also a bully just like those girls ” Beth returned.

“What do you mean by bully? Is Jenny being bullied?” Eric asked referring to her.

“I suggest you ask her yourself and besides you amongst the RFR use your supposed power for some thing good for once” Beth said pulling her arm out of his before leaving him standing there.

~ LATER THAT DAY~

Eric was waiting for his sister to arrive when he saw Beth leaving the school premises like every other student.

He still haven’t got the chance to ask Jenny what that incident was from earlier.

His gaze was still on Beth whose hair was busy swinging around due to the wind.

He watched her pull out a ribbon and slowly pack her hair which got Eric starring intently.

She continued her journey and Eric found himself stretching in the car just so he would keep on looking at her and what he saw next ruined his mood.

She got into a car which Eric recognize as that of Calvin.

“If you are done looking, then we can leave” Jenny who had gotten into the car said startling him.

“When did you get in?” He asked.

“Since I caught you starring at senior Beth. Don’t tell me you like her?” Jenny asked teasingly.

“That isn’t important. Tell me what happened between you and her?” Eric asked.

“Well she help me with some bullies and…..”

“What! You are being bullied? By who? What class are they and…..”

“Don’t do a thing! It will be embarrassing if they know am related to you” Jenny said.

“What?”

“Don’t you remember what happened in high school? Those girls kept bugging me to give them your number because they found out you are my brother, I don’t want the same thing happening so don’t do anything” she said

“What are you going to do about it then?” Eric asked.

“By not giving up”Jenny said suddenly.

“Uh?”.

“Senior Beth told me not to give up and to stand against them which is what I will do. I feel bad for yelling at her when she was only trying to help” She said while Eric thought about her.

“She said she went through the same thing and got out of it. She’s so cool” Jenny said while Eric echoed the same thing in his mind even as a smile left his lips.

~ NEXT DAY ~ CAFETERIA

Eric has spent his lunch time searching for Beth and when he saw her she was on her way to the cafeteria while he stood at the school roof top watching her.

A smile appeared on his lips and when he turned to go after her, he stopped when he saw someone going to her.

His smile changed into a frown when he saw Calvin going to her.

He watch them talk for a while before they drifted on different path.

Deciding not to go after Beth who continued her journey to cafeteria, he went after Calvin who went to the library.

He found him going through the business books and approached him.

“Fancy seeing you here Eric” Calvin said.

“I know right ” Eric murmured.

“Interested in business books?” Calvin asked.

“Not really, I came to speak to you” Eric said now starring at him.

“Fire away” Calvin replied.

“Why are you always around Beth?” Eric asked.

“Pardon?”

“What’s your deal with her?” Eric asked again.

“Let me ask you also, do you like Beth?” Calvin asked waiting for a reply.

~WILMER HIGH~ LIBRARY

“Not gonna talk?” Calvin asked waiting for Eric’s reply.

“I asked you first ” Eric countered.

“Well, Beth and I are working on a project ” Calvin said.

“What project?”

“Sorry, I can’t tell you the details but what I can tell you is that Beth works in my house. Since have given you a reply, I suggest you give me an answer to my question” Calvin said folding his arms on his chest while waiting for Eric to speak.

“Why do you think I will be attracted to someone like Beth?” Eric found himself reply.

“Your action says it all” Calvin replied.

“Sorry to burst your bubble but am not interested in Beth” Eric said wondering why he didn’t give him the proper answer.

“Then why are you curious about the relationship I have with Beth?”

“You are part of the RFR and Beth to the RFR is an enemy and that got me wondering why you chose to be around her knowing it pisses them off” Eric asked.

“So your saying that I shouldn’t be friends with Beth because am part of the RFR ?” Calvin asked in return and Eric reply was to give a nonchalant shrug.

“Well you can forget that ever happening. Have got a class dude, see you later” Calvin said leaving the Library while Eric watch him leave and unknown to them both Josephine had been listening in on their conversation from the other side of the book shelf.

~ CAFETERIA ~

“Am sorry it’s not much” Jenny said even as Beth sip the juice in enjoyment.

“This is more than enough though I still don’t think your thanking me is necessary. I just did what I did cause I hate seeing those kinds of stuff” Jenny said.

“No matter what I feel grateful and I will keep saying thank you” Jenny replied eating her burger.

“So what do you intend to do about them?” Beth asked.

“Stand up against them, I know it wont be easy but I will follow your advice and set their @ss straight” Jenny said which got giving her a high five.

“That’s what I want. Don’t ever give them a chance to bully you again” Beth said bitting into her burger.

“There’s some thing else have got to tell you” Jenny said which got her Beth full attention.

“Abigail doesn’t have the mole”

“Uh!”

“I heard you talking about it yesterday. You were waiting for her to confirm it right?” Jenny asked and Beth nodded slowly.

“She doesn’t have the mole, have a look at her Instagram photo. She took this last year at the students camp out” Jenny said showing Beth some bikini pictures of Abigail in which she has no mole on her shoulder.

“Thanks for telling me” Beth said.

“My pleasure and it’s my way of paying you back” Jenny replied while Beth gave her a gentle smile.

~ RFR LOUNGE ~

“Guys have got a juicy gossip” Josephine said walking into their private lounge in school.

“What have you been eavesdropping on again?” Willow asked.

“Turns out Beth is working at Calvin home” Josephine said.

“Seriously?” Katrina asked while Josephine nodded.

“Is that why he has been going around with her while he ignore us” Dexter muttered.

“And that’s not all, Eric had confronted him about why he was close to Beth and his reply had been that he and Beth were working on a project” Josephine added.

“Project! What sort of project will they be working on?” Willow asked.

“Probably a maid and boss Project?” Josephine said earning a angry look from Katrina.

“Or are they in a relationship?” Dexter suggested.

“What? Calvin and Beth. I don’t think that is ever possible” Katrina said out.

“Why do you think so? From what I know Beth is pretty and will be more pretty if she dresses up and…..” Dexter let his words trail off when he saw the angry look on Katrina’s face.

“Beth isn’t capable of capturing a guy’s heart and even if she does, they end up getting bored and dump her eventually” Katrina stated.

“But I doubt that Calvin will dump Beth for you just like Jason did” Josephine said even as Katrina threw a book on her.

“Stop pissing Katrina, she’s not interested in Calvin,Jason is the only guy for her right?” Willow asked which got Katrina glaring at him too.

“Of course. Jason is the only one for me and he will be the only one, so stop making silly assumption that I am interested in Calvin, he is not that handsome” Katrina huff out in anger.

“I don’t think so” Dexter muttered.

“Whatever. Let’s just focus on Beth, just because she has Calvin backing her, she thinks she is superior now. Teaching her a few lessons might get her back to her senses, don’t you think?'” Katrina said having a evil smirk on her face.

“I don’t think it will be a good idea to mess with her again” Dexter said.

“Dex is right, just let her be she’s not worth your….”

“Shut up! Beth is an enemy and have got to get rid of her which am going to do” Katrina said cutting Willow off.

“So if you aren’t going to help, I suggest you f**k off” Katrina said while Willow and Dexter stared at each other knowing it’s hopeless trying to convince her.

“I will definitely help, it’s been long since we bullied some one” Josephine said which got Katrina smiling at her.

“There are some times when you speak with out sense and some times that you speak with one which is now” Katrina murmured softly.

~ SCHOOL ROOF TOP ~

“So Abigail isn’t the one ?” Calvin asked looking deflated.

“She isn’t and some how am glad” Beth said which earn her a look from him.

“Well to be sincere, her personality isn’t that great” Beth added when he kept starring at her.

“I don’t care” Calvin muttered in reply.

“You don’t care? But you should” Beth yelled out suddenly which got him starring.

“Haven’t you ever wonder how her personality will be when you do meet her? What if she turns out to be a complete opposite of you?” Beth added calmly.

“I still won’t care. She’s the girl I love and no matter who or what she is, I will accept her” Calvin replied which got Beth nodding gently.

Some how she didn’t know why hearing him tell her that he love some one else made her feel strange.

“I need to go back to class, I will…..” She stop what she was saying when she got a call.

“Hello” she answered and on hearing the caller name her brow quirk up in question.

“Eric” she called and that got Calvin gaze on her.

“Am less busy as of now. Yes,I will be there” she said ending the call.

“Is that Eric?” Calvin asked and she nodded in reply.

“He wants to see me though I don’t know why” she admitted.

“If he didn’t give you his reason for asking you to come see him then I suggest you don’t go” Calvin said.

“But he said its important and…..”

“Having a less free time doesn’t mean you can misuse it. You should be preparing on the next girl” Calvin said cutting her off.

“But I have it all planned and ……”

“Really? Tell me about it” he said as he began walking off while she followed.

“We can do that at home ”

“I want you to tell me about it now” he suggested as they descend the stairs and the naive Beth who didn’t know why he was acting that way, explained herself to him.

They were almost at class when some one suddenly took hold of her hand.

She look up to see Eric starring down at her.

“Have been waiting for you” Eric said.

“Me?” Beth question softly.

“She can’t make it cause she’s with me'” Calvin said holding onto her second hand.

“Why? Cause she’s working on an important project with you?” Eric asked pulling her back to him.

“Yes she is and don’t you think it’s far more safer for her to be with me than to be with some one who only wants to bully her?” Calvin asked pulling her to him.

“Uh, if you both can just…..”

“No!” Calvin and Eric yelled down at her without giving her a chance to complete her sentence.

“I have to talk to her” Eric growled glaring at Calvin.

“I suggest you choose another time cause am already talking to her” Calvin barked at him in return.

“So it’s first come, first serve?” Eric asked while Calvin gave him a forced smile.

“Am glad you understand” Calvin replied pulling Beth but Eric didn’t let go.

Getting tired of the both of them, Beth pulled her hand out of their grip.

“Instead of fighting, why not just ask me?” She yelled at the both of them even as she massage her wrist.

“Let’s continue our discussion at home” she said to Calvin before walking off expecting Eric to follow which he did after sending a triumphant look at Calvin.

~SCHOOL GARDEN~

“What do we have to talk about?” Beth asked.

“Well I…..I ” Eric grimaced wondering how he will say the words to her cause he has never said it to anyone. To him the word is a foreign language.

“You what?” Beth asked.

“Well I just want to…..I want to…” he stop scratching his hair nervously.

“If you won’t say it then am going to leave” Beth said but he stopped her.

“Am not used to saying the word that’s why I find it hard to say” he admitted.

“Then I suggest you tell me some other time, I have things to…..”

“Thank you” he said cutting her off abruptly.

“You said what?”

“I said thank you” he said again looking like some one who just admitted to doing some thing bad and that got her laughing.

Eric nervousness dissipate even as he watch Beth laughing.

“What’s funny?” He asked still entrance.

“It’s the way you said it but never mind that. Why are you thanking me?” She asked.

“For Jenny” he replied.

“Oh that! I didn’t help her to get anything in return, I just didn’t like them bullying her due to her looks” Beth said wistfully.

“You should watch over her cause I doubt if those girls will stop bullying her, you are part of the RFR after all” she added.

“And because of that, you hate me right?” He asked.

“If you are asking if I hate you because you are part of the RFR then my answer is no but I do hate the fact that you let Katrina have her way even when knowing that it’s bad. You all are friends and you should be able to stop yourself from going astray but instead you keep quiet and do nothing ” she said wearing a sad expression on her face.

“Beth I…….”

“It doesn’t matter, am free of the RFR now but I do hope you guys change. Help me thank Jenny for the meal she bought me earlier, see you!” Beth said running off while Eric kept watching her go.

~ CALVIN’S HOME ~

It was late in the evening when he drove into the mansion and while giving his car keys to the driver, Beth dashed out of the house looking eager and excited.

“Calvin! I have some thing to show you” she said her eyes alight with excitement.

“What?”

“Just come with me” she said pulling him into the house and straight to the study.

“What’s this about?” He asked.

“Have a look at this” she said giving him a picture which had his mystery girl on it but sadly she still had the mask on her face.

“Some one saw her when she was leaving in the wee hours of the morning and took this picture of her ” Beth explained.

“But her identity is still not known” Calvin replied.

“It is but with this picture, we can get to find her” Beth said.

“How? Do you intend to show everyone this picture?” Calvin asked.

“That’s what I plan on doing and with the help of some one else” Beth confirmed.

“This is meant to be kept between us”

“It is but then this someone saw her leaving that day and am sure that with her help, we can achieve our goal” Beth said trying to convince him.

“Who is this someone of yours?”

“Well it’s Lily” she said slowly.

“Lily, where have I heard that name ?”

“She’s working for you” Beth replied.

“Don’t tell me that the Lily you are talking about is the maid who works here?” Calvin asked.

“Turns out she was working at Raymond party and she’s the last person who saw your mystery girl that night” Beth informed him…..
