{ Beth In Trouble }

~ CALVIN’S PARTY ~

“So you were at the party too?” Calvin asked Lily who was now with them in his study.

“I was. I needed the extra income and on learning that Mr Raymond was preparing a party, I decided to work that night as a maid” lily replied.

“So you saw her that night?” Calvin asked referring to his mystery girl.

“Yes. I found it odd that she was sneaking out in the mid hours of the morning and so I took her picture Incase she turned out to be a thief. I didn’t even realise I still had her picture until Beth saw it tonight ” Lily said.

“And your willing to help us search for her?” Calvin asked.

“If you would let me. To be sincere I knew from the start that you, Beth and Boss Raymond were working on some thing important and have always wanted to join cause its been my dream to become a detective” Lily confided which got Calvin smiling slightly.

“Fine then, let’s use your skill on this. I hope we all succeed ” Calvin said which got Lily grinding from ear to ear.

A while later she left leaving Calvin and Beth alone.

“Will she accept if I transfer her to our school?” Calvin asked as he went through a file.

“Why? You don’t have to do that” Beth said softly.

“I just want to and it would be good if she studies there and help with the search” he said.

Some how Beth felt touched by his thoughtfulness, he didn’t really have to send Lily to their school but he chose to help which makes him sweet.

“Don’t you want her helping you?” Calvin asked.

“Of course I do want her and am sure she’s gonna be thrilled about studying in Wilmer high, I will go give her the good news ” Beth said already out of his study before he could stop her.

It was a bit late when Beth made her way back to the maid quarters where her mom will be waiting.

She got into the room only to see some bag of clothe seated on the bed.

“Who owns that?” She asked nonchalantly.

“He bought it for us” her mom replied.

“Who?” She asked moving towards the bags which had expensive things in it.

“The boss”

“You mean Calvin bought all of this?” Beth asked mildly.

“He did, do you know why?” Her mom asked just as she found a card amongst the clothes.

Beth pulled it out and read its content, smiling when she was done.

“What’s that smile about? What exactly are you doing with the boss to get him to buy us some thing like this?” Her mother said walking towards her.

“Lets just say that it’s for a job well done” Beth replied just as her mom gave her a smack on the arm.

“I want you to quit whatever thing you are doing with him! Don’t you know that he’s not some one of your calibre?” Her mother asked.

“I do know that and you don’t have to remind me about him not being in my league. He isn’t some one I will fall for ” she said.

“I hope you keep remembering that” her mom added worriedly and that got Beth going to her.

“Don’t worry mom, I have too much to think of that I will get involved with the boss” Beth assured but her mom who was still feeling doubtful hope she will do as she says.

~ WILMER HIGH ~

“I can’t believe that am attending Wilmer high” Lily said in excitement even as they made their way into the school premises.

“I told you that the boss can be generous at times” Beth said thinking about Calvin and how he was quick in helping Lily with her enrollment.

” Well it’s now up to me to work hard at finding this mystery girl of his so I can repay him” Lily gush out in excitement.

“Not you alone but the two of us, keep that In mind” Beth said while Lily nodded.

Just at that moment a car drove past them and on seeing the car other students ran towards, all screaming in excitement.

“Who is that?” Lily asked.

“My biggest enemy but every one thinks of her as the school angel” Beth replied even as Katrina got out of her car.

They both watch as Dexter, Willow and Josephine came to join her.

“Are they part of a group or some thing” Lily asked memorizing each of their face.

“Yes. They are called the RFR, rich of the riches to be precise. They enjoy bullying the weak and poor and I suggest you stay away from them, It took a while before I could stay away from them” Beth told her.

“Were you bullied by them?” Lily asked.

“Let’s save that discussion for when we get home. As of now you still need to sign some document before you resume class”

“Will you come with me?” Lily asked.

“Of course” Beth replied as they both head for another building which housed the principal office.

Beth and Lily walk into the hall which led to their class only to see her class mates standing by the door way and not in class.

“What’s happening?” Lily muttered as they walk past some of the students and right to the door way.

Beth let out a gasp when she saw three guys ruining her chair and the things she kept in her locker were all spilled on the floor.

“What are you doing?” She yelled walking into the class.

“Just the girl we’ve been waiting for” the first guy said moving towards Beth and before she could say a thing, a slap was landed on her cheek which got her falling on the floor.

“Bitch! How dare you tell the teacher on us? Do you know what you’ve cause because of your gossip!” The second guy yelled at her.

And at that moment Lily ran into the room, going towards Beth.

“Are you okay?” Lily asked.

“And who is she? Did she also snitch on us?” The third guy who had been breaking Beth seat asked.

“She’s got nothing to do with this, so leave her alone” Beth said glaring at them.

“You still got the mouth to talk right” the first guy who looked furious pulled Beth by her hair.

“Let her go!” Lily yelled at him.

“If you don’t want your friend to suffer along with you, it’s best she leaves” the first guy said.

“Leave Lily, go!” Beth yelled wanting her to leave so she would be safe and though she was reluctant, Lily left the class running off and leaving the scene.

“Now that she’s gone, calm down and tell me what I did wrong?” Beth asked.

“You are really pissing me off with your attitude” the first guy said letting go of her hair and pushing her on the floor.

“Fine then, I will tell you what you did but for every thing I say, you shall be tortured” the first guy said taking one of the student desk.

“Once I tell you what you did wrong, I’ll also use this on you” he said lifting up the desk.

“You think we wouldn’t know that you are the one who told the teacher about the drug we use and sell here in school, you must be a fool for thinking that we wouldn’t know!” He yelled even as made to hit her with the desk.

Beth shut her eyes,cowering against the wall while expecting the desk to hit her but it didn’t and on hearing some students gasp.

She opened her eyes to see Calvin over her and her eyes widened when she saw that the desk had hit him instead of her…….

{ Beth’s Heart }

Lily who had ran out of the building intent on going to the teachers for help ran straight into Calvin who had just gotten to school

“What’s wrong?” Calvin asked on seeing the shocked look on her face.

“Beth, Beth is being bullied” Lily manage to say.

“She’s in class right?” Calvin asked and immediately he ran off while Lily followed him.

“You think we wouldn’t know that you are the one who told the teacher about the drug we use and sell here in school, you must be a fool for thinking that we wouldn’t know!” that was what Calvin heard when he got there.

On seeing the bully lifting the desk up, Calvin ran in and covered Beth while the desk landed on him.

Everyone who had been watching let out a gasp and that including Katrina and Josephine who had been silently watching the whole thing.

The guy who had hit the desk on Calvin, let it slip off his hand while he stood in shock for hitting the wrong person.

“Calvin” Beth who was on the floor called and that got him starring at her.

Slowly he stood up right and help Beth off the floor before turning to the three boys.

“What exactly did she do?” Calvin asked slowly.

“Well she told on us to the teachers and that led to them rusticating us” The first student said.

“I don’t know who told you that but it isn’t me” Beth yelled at them.

“Heard that?” Calvin asked glaring at the three guys.

“Well, if you don’t mind I would like to pay you three back” Calvin added even as he walk Beth to the door.

“What do you plan on doing?” Beth asked.

“Just give me five minutes, I will be with you” He said shutting the door on her face.

Moment later they heard people scruffling and then a groan even as a fight ensued in the class.

Beth felt more worried and she would have gone in if it hadn’t been for Lily who held onto her.

The door open and Calvin came out unharmed which got Beth feeling relieved but on seeing the blood dripping from his forehead, she immediately went to him.

“You are hurt!” She yelled.

“It’s just a minor injury but those guys in there will be suffering for a while” he said smiling wistfully before turning his gaze on Katrina and Josephine who both look away quickly.

“I think they will know who to go to when they recover from their injury, let’s go” Calvin said taking hold of Beth hand while Lily followed suit.

~SCHOOL INFIRMARY~

Tears kept slipping down Beth cheeks even as she help Calvin clean off his wound.

And Calvin who had been busy with his phone failed to notice the tears until she sniffed bringing his attention to her.

“Why are you crying?” He asked.

“You got hurt because of me” she said wiping the blood off his fore head.

“I didn’t get hurt because of you, so don’t let it bother you” he said trying to assure her.

“But I do feel bothered. Just thinking about how that desk hit you has got me…..” She stopped, closing her eyes while trying to get rid of that moment when the desk hit Calvin but on feeling his hand on her cheek.

She open her closed her eyes starring into his black eyes.

“You are not at fault okay. And if that moment still bothers you then just think of it as me being your prince who came to rescue you” he said smiling down at her while still having both of his hands on her cheek.

Beth mind drifted off to that moment and this time she didn’t feel scared but instead her heart swelled with pride cause for the first time, some one came to help her and that person turn out to be Calvin.

Calvin who gave her his word on protecting her and he certainly fulfilled his word today.

Her prince who came to her rescue, that sounds awesome. She thought from within even as she suddenly felt her heart beating faster than normal coupled with some weird sensations which she couldn’t fathom.

Thinking she was ill, she pulled away from him abruptly and her racing heart went to back to its normal pace while the weird sensations in her dissipate.

She was still wondering what was wrong when Calvin pulled her jaw and that got her starring at him again.

“Are you okay?” Calvin asked even as her heart began thumping fast.

She is definitely not okay, she thought starring at him in silence…..
