The Faith of the Breed

As Lord Lastor looked down at Sena, he noticed that the Breed of the Halos no longer looked terrified. If anything, he rather looked extremely blissful and relieved.

Sena’s eyes were fixed at a s₱0t behind Lord Lastor, and he appeared to be in deep concentration, then, slowly, a smile of triumph began to spread across the boy’s spiritual face.

“You will cower before me!” Lord Lastor scre-med with mounting fury. “You will beg for mercy again, or I will obliterate you where you lie!”

Sena finally looked up at the demon and smiled again.

“You can’t do shit,” he said calmly. “All that begging for mercy and scre-ming and wailing and my terror were aimed at getting you out of Hades and making you follow me to the neutral ground of Rest. Look at the Doorway behind you!”

And finally, it dawned on Lord Lastor that all that he had witnessed had indeed been an act by the Halo Breed. With an enraged grunt, he spun around and saw, much to his horror that the middle of the doorway had risen so high that it was almost closed!

Hades could barely be seen through the remaining crack!

“You evil Breed!” Lord Lastor cried and made a frantic dash for the doorway, but it slid closed just then, and the demon crashed against it and bounced back.

Sena slowly floated up and hovered in the air as he looked at Lord Lastor smashing into the doorway repeatedly with furious wails. He aimed his staff at the door and tried to blast it with fireballs, but nothing came out of his staff.

“Actually, the Rest is a tranquil celestial palace for goodness, Lord Lastor,” Sena said calmly. “And all evil entities are rendered ineffectual. You can’t use your staff here. You’ve become just an ordinary little cunt in here!”

Lord Lastor turned an enraged face towards Sena.

“I will break you to bits if you don’t get me out of here!” he hissed ominously.

“You can’t do shit,” Sena replied.

Lord Lastor began to roar, but just then the tall, narrow door began to vibrate so hærd and so violently that Lord Lastor was thrown off his feet to smash down hærd below Sena!

The door continued to hum and tremble and shake the ground, then as suddenly as it had appeared, it shot down below the ground, and was gone.

“You’re pretty f-cked now, Lastorman!” Sena said calmly. “You’re trapped here for eternity!”

With a bellow of rage, the Keeper of Hades got to his feet, and his human-like mask cracked open, and the horrible real demon came out of the mask with its horrible face and multi-jointed limbs.

It breathed fire at Sena… but nothing came out!

It struck heavily at the Halo Breed with its knife-edged talons, but they just passed harmlessly through the spiritual body of Sena!

“I now know why it was imperative to lose my body and fight you as a spirit,” Sena said with awe. “May the infinite wisdom of the Spirits be praised!”

The Lord Lastor beast went into frenzy mode!

With ear-splitting bellows, it attacked fiercely, weaving through the spirit of Sena, slashing wildly with deadly intent, but the Halo Breed stood still, and all the attacks went harmlessly through his body until the beast realized how futile its efforts were, and it finally stopped moving.

It huffed and puffed, breathing with rage and maddened by its futile efforts.

“Then you will stay here with me too!” Lord Lastor said. “Because you cannot do anything to me either! The only thing that can harm me is the Axe of the Executioners, and you left that on Earth!”

Sena smiled.

“You’re pathetic, and thick of skull!” he said softly. “If I had been in your place, I could have escaped this place even without the door, because I have something that you don’t have.”

“You don’t have anything, you puny little stinking cunt!” the beast said furiously.

“What I have is called faith, Lord Lastor,” Sena said and dropped into a crouch with his right hand extended behind him. “It is written in the ancient scrolls; with faith, the size of a pea, we can move wh0le mountains!”

Lord Lastor breathed heavily with confusion, and slowly a look of dread entered his beastly eyes.

“What are you talking about?”

“Something you know nothing about,” Sena said and closed his eyes. “I have faith, a great amount of faith. So, even as I stand here, in my spiritual entity, without my physical body, separated from my axe in another multiverse, I do have faith in the Spirits, and the Creator of All Things, that my axe will find my hand, so that I can complete the destiny I live to achieve!”

He opened his eyes!

And the expression on his face was cold and deadly.

But Lord Lastor laughed gleefully.

“You lost your head, Breed of the Halos, and now wallow in the rivers of foolishness! What you ask for, is not possible!”

“With faith, impossible is nothing!” Sena growled.

Lord Lastor opened his mouth to laugh again, but he stopped abruptly when the ground began to shake below them and a high-pitched humming sound reached their ears.

Sena smiled coldly.

“Faith is a very powerful virtue, Lord Lastor! Try it, in the afterlife, if you’re lucky enough to wake up in one!”

The ground exploded in a shower of breaking crystals, and the Axe of the Executioners blasted out, sailed in the air, and landed snugly into Sena’s outstretched hand!

Instantly, Sena’s spiritual form burst into flames of fire, and so did the axe!

There was terror on Lord Lastor’s beastly face, and he wailed with terror and tried to flee by flying into the expanse of space above, but Sena leapt high with a loud scre-m of rage, pivoted in the air, wrapped both his arms around the handle of the axe, and swung savagely!

The burning edge of the axe sliced through the knees of the beast and cut them off cleanly!

Lord Lastor scre-med with fear and terror, but Sena was still spinning, and the axe severed the thighs off the beast, and Sena still spun in the air with a prolonged cry of rage, and the axe smashed through the chest of Lord Lastor, cut cleanly through it, and finally with his last spin, the axe sank through the neck of the beast!

The terrified eyes of Lord Lastor were the last thing Sena saw as the head of the beast came off!

The body parts of the Keeper of Hades fell on the ground of Rest, and burst into flames!

FINAL EPISODE

The Scrolls Never Lie

In the Underworld, all the spiritual entities that had trained Sena broke into spontaneous smiles of happiness!

Within the Halos, a serene music was heard in the sky, and King Gus Kukah and his wife Derbie Gyeshie looked up with wonder on their faces.

“My son!” Gus Kukah whispered in reverential tones. “He did it. He fulfilled his destiny!”

And, within Densua, the red mist fled through the Tenements door, and the door slammed shut and sealed up for eternity!

The sky cleared, and the brightest sun shone at the same time that it began to drizzle!

The Sage of the Spirits, Prosper Freeman, floated above the palace and scre-med with laughter.

“He did it! The Halo Breed saved Earth, forever!”

The statue that King Baffour Koduah was trapped in slowly melted, and the king fell to the ground weakly and began to weep!

The people of Densua poured out into the streets with yells of happiness and triumph! Finally, the curse was lifted, and the threat of Lord Lastor and his Hadesians was gone forever!

Grace of the Skits and Kharisa Nyantie rushed out of the palace hand in hand and looked at the jubilant Prosper Freeman spinning in circles in the sky.

“Come down, Sage!” Grace scre-med impatiently.

“Come down!” Kharisa echoed. “Where’s our Sena? What happened to him? Did he survive his destiny?”

Prosper disappeared from the sky and appeared in front of them.

He looked at them mischievously.

“Have you stubborn witches decided who gets to warm the bed of your new king?”

Kharisa and Grace looked at each other, then smiled happily.

“Yes, Sage. We have decided that a king as brave as Sena deserves two women as beautiful as us. We will marry him and be his queens,” Kharisa said shyly.

Prosper smiled.

“Ah, good decision, seeing you’re now friends. But tell me, on the first day of the wedding, who gets to be with him first?”

“There’s not going to be a first, for we do everything together from now,” Grace of the Skits said, and Prosper chuckled.

“Indeed, the Holy Scrolls never lie!” the Sage said gently. “For it is written, a time of peace and prosperity will dwell on Earth, on Halo, and on all multiverses when the Breed of the Halos comes into his kingsh¡p! For his reign will be made beautiful by the Spirits, for he is cherished of the Spirits! And his delight in his Queens, two, for the loins of the Skit descendant shall birth the noble princes, breeds of the Skits, who will make the earth strong, for they will be warriors first, and rulers in the stead of their brave father. And the loins of the dark one, the Densu queen, shall birth noble princesses, their beauties never seen, and they shall be noble women who will bring peace to each corner of the Earth.”

Grace and Kharisa looked at each other with shock.

“And that is in the Holy Scrolls?” Kharisa asked.

“Then it means our decision was…”

“Long ordained, my beauties, long ordained!” Prosper said with a laugh. “And that is why your show of pride at the early stages only filled me with mirth!”

He began to laugh uproariously, then disappeared from sight.

The two beautiful ladies scre-med with desperation.

“Prosper, curse be on you!” Kharisa scre-med. “Where’s Sena!”

“May you never know happiness, Prosper!” Grace shouted.

The voice of Prosper came then, but he remained invisible.

“Witches! Damn witches! The ancient scrolls said he would reappear in his new room, on his bed, when his destiny is fulfilled!”

The two girls held hands and began to run furiously into the palace.

They met Mavis Tease, Sarai, and Dawn, who followed them up the steps!

They threw the door of the king’s chamber open… and Sena was lying on the bed, asleep, and he was unclad!

The girls screeched with happiness and leapt onto the bed, and fell on him.

Sena opened his eyes tiredly and gro-ned.

“I want to sleep!” he said drowsily.

Mavis, Sarai and Dawn also entered and rushed towards the bed with scre-ms of happiness.

Sena sighed and pulled a part of the bedsheet off to cover his uncladness as the three women also jumped on the bed and struggled over who would hug him first.

“You witches, I want to sleep!” he said.

They did not mind him.

They smothered him.
