📞 ” What ” Natalie gasped.

📞 ” Relax sis mum is fine now. I urge her to have some rest ” Judy assured.

At hearing that Natalie was relief a bit, but the tension was still there. A moment ago she almost had an heart attack when Judy told her her mum collapsed.

📞 ” And you just called me now ” Natalie frowned.

📞 ” Please sis am sorry but mum insisted I shouldn’t inform you about this. She’d knew that you’ll panic and feel tense. I just decided to inform you, I won’t have inform you if i myself am feeling scared ” Judy said fearfully.

📞 ” A… Am scared ” Judy flounder coz tears was stuck on her throat.

📞” Please sis don’t be, you’ve to be strong for the sake of mum. How I wish am there, you won’t have to be the one responsible for this big responsibility ” Natalie said woefully, she was about to break down but she was taking and effort for it not to show.

📞 ” Take care of mum ” Natalie concluded sadly.

📞 ” Bye Nat ” Judy said sniffing.

Natalie heart ache and she let the tears pour down. She was a bit afraid, but been afraid is the least thing she should feel now. She have to be courageous and put behind all negative thought of loosing her mum. All she need to do is to concentrate on this job.

” in Eight months time I’ll be able to bring money for mum’s operation” she assured herself without much conviction.

How’ll she be able to have four million in eight month when other things need to be considered. Like how’ll she sustain her mum’s drug if it got finish, sure Judy’s per time work might be of little help, but the income is too small, even if Judy gets paid per week the Money isn’t what to write home about. That why Natalie can’t rely on that. Before she’ll be able to pay for her mum’s operation she needs drug to sustain her till she gets the complete money. And there is the foodstuff aspect, she’d have to also considered that. However everything is about planning. She had plan how to budget the money for each necessary things.

Natalie couldn’t sleep, she try as much as possible to put the fear behind her. But it won’t go away.

Sooner Natalie drift to sleep. After a lot of trouble mind her eyes became heavy and she yawned and finally slept.

#Morning_time 🌄

Natalie yawn while her eyes flick opened. The sudden fear and tension as left her. She woke feeling courageous. She’d wonder how she got this new feeling after a restless night she had. But she’d like the new feeling it and hope it remains so.

She sprung up from bed and glance at the walk clock it reads 6:00. She still had a long time before her work will commence. By 7:00 the family will sit for breakfast and can go wash the dishes after they were done. if Amber have some dirty clothes. Amber will instruct her after the breakfast that’s how she always does

They eat that early coz of the nature of their various place they have to be after breakfast. The maids in the house always have their breakfast after the bosses in the house

She went to brush her teeth and after that she took a shower. She apply her body cream and her powder. Other female maid she encounter in the mansion have makeup on, but Natalie haven no time for this, she got a lot on her mind than to care for makeups. She put on her maid’s wear. Natalie glance at herself in the mirror she notice she had reduce some weight.

” Oh gosh ” She muttered angry at her figure. She glance at the wall clock it now reads 7:15.

She assume they will be done now. She scurried to the door and went out.

Natalie met them rounding up with their breakfast. Darrell was on the dinning too, including Amber, the twins, Mrs Olivia and Mr Tyler, and he s₱0t her coming and then his heart beat could be heard by only him alone. He had hoped to see her before going for his business this morning. And was glad and felt relief when he saw her coming.

” Oh gosh she beautiful those enchanting hazel eyes ” Darrell day dream in his mind. He was lost in thought staring at Natalie as she was coming closer.

” Son are you alright ” Mrs Olivia ask. She arched a brow and saw that he was lost in thought, she stare at the direction his eyes were on.

He jolted back to from his wonderland to reality. Mrs Olivia thought he was just lost in thought that why his eyes was on that direction. It happens sometimes, when one was lost in thought he tend to look at one direction, of course she dare not think her son was beginning to like the maid. She was sure of that.

” I’ll be going now ” he said cleaning his mouth with the napkin before leaving.

Mrs Olivia just shook her head and leave including the rest present. Natalie was clearing the dishes took them to the kitchen and washed them.

While washing she thought of the way Darrell was staring at her. Of course she notice the weird staring and felt embarrass by the way he stare, it looks awkward. She shave the thought away, she might just be imagining stuff, he might not be looking at her or maybe something else or was he serious about making her a friend is that why he stare at her like that, she never thought he was serious about that. She was a maid and he is comes from a billionaire’s family. How will he make friends with her when they’re thousands of people like him he could make friends with. What will he do with a nobody, she’d wondered.

But unknowingly she hasn’t realize that the billionaire was starting to fall head heels in love with her. Are mind trail back to when he helped her to pick that broken glasses and when she remembered the sky blue eyes of his, she felt a knot coiling in her stomach.

#Later_in_the_day.

Darrell was back home.

Natalie was heading for the kitchen to get some snacks for herself. At least in the mansion the maid are allowed to eat what they want. But not to be s₱0t eating the food right there in the kitchen, it kicks against their rules. She was hungry, but prefer eating some snack.

She was just at the stairs, when she s₱0t Tyler.

” Hey you, tell my son Darrell to come to my room ” he ordered and left.

Firstly she was feeling tense to see him, but why was beyond her explanation, ever since this morning she saw him she has been feeling tense to see him again. Secondly she don’t even know his room how’ll she be able to deliver the message to him.

She felt like the ground should open this instant and swallow her up this moment.

Luckily a maid was approaching she sigh in relief and stop the male maid.

” Please where is sir Darrell’s room I need to deliver a message to him ” she asked.

” Just take the elevator and stop at number 13. The brown door is his ” the maid replied.

” Thanks ” she said and walk towards the elevator. She did as the maid told her and arrived at the brown door.

Natalie swallowed hærd. The thought of him staring send some shiver down her spine. She felt the tension again. But she had to deliver the message.

She knock at the door, but no responds. She repeat it the second time still the same. She decided to open the door.

Her eyes w¡den as she study the room. Gosh this looks like a celebrity room. So elegant and very wide. She notice two door. She’d knew one door was for the bathroom so what was the other door for.

Natalie didn’t realize that her wonderment as force her legs in to the room, without realizing that she was close to his bed.

Darrell came out of the bathroom and the creaking sound of the door of the bathroom was what made Natalie to regain her senses that was knock out of her by her amusement.

She turn slowly and her eyes met Darrell’s. Darrell was both surprise and happy to see her in his room, but what he didn’t realize that the towel he wrap wasn’t properly wrapped. The towel feel off revealing his nudity and Natalie eyes almost budge out of the socket. She ran out of the room with goosebumps all over her.

She was running back to the elevator when it dawn on her that she haven’t deliver the message. Damn it, how’ll she go back there. She was scared of going back there, after what she saw she can’t go back. He might be angry at her. She don’t know what to do, she has never be this confused in her life before.

Natalie was still thinking of how to go back to the room. If she doesn’t deliver the message they might fire her this time around, who knows Darrell might not be there to save her, and damn why will he save her this time around when she evade his privacy.

She was contemplating on how to go back. How’ll she go back. She froze in a s₱0t like a statue.

Natalie decided to be bold. She move itch my itch to the door. When she get to the door her heart beat faster than before. She swallow hærd as she hesitated to knock on the door. She try gathering her courage, but anytime her hand come close to the door, she hesitated.

After what seems like eternity, she remove the negative thought and decided to knock. She knock at the door.

” Come in ” he said. Natalie shivered and the knot of uncertainty of what might transpired if she enters again coiled in her stomach.

However she opened up the door closely. And met Darrell fully dress. She shamefully shuffled into the room.

She quick look down not to meet his eyes.

” S…. sir am sorry for what I had done. I only came to deliver a message, your dad wants you in his room ” she stuttered nervously, still unable to meet his eyes.

She heard no responds from him, but heard the shuffling sound of his feet leaning closer.

” Raise your face please ” she heard his soft command.

It was the soft voice of his that made her straighten her head, but slowly. She met his eyes and tremble , not with fear, but something beyond her explanation.

Darrell had notice the tension in her. He knew somehow it was his fault. He would’ve wrap the towel properly , but he was so startled and lost that he didn’t sense his towel loosing from his wa-ist.

” Sorry for scaring you like that ” Darrell apologize with a wink.

Natalie was shocked, she blink rapidly . Did she hear him right, the he just tell her sorry. She is the one that’s suppose to apologize to him, not the other way round.

” Bu… But am the one that is suppose to apologize to you ” she said solemnly.

” No am the one Natalie. My towel wasn’t properly wrap. Just forget about the wh0le thing. You think am angry, but am not. ” he said sincerely.

Natalie stare with awe. She couldn’t just believe it. How can a man be so nice to the extend he over look the fact she just saw his nudity.

” But sir….

He interrupted her.

” First you’ll start by stop calling me sir, call me by name ” he said with a board smile.

Natalie eyes w¡den with surprise and bewilderment. She couldn’t believe it.

” Why sir ” she was force to asked.

” Coz friends don’t call their friends that. And we’re friends , ain’t we ” he said.

” Friends ” she whispered silently to herself but Darrell heard it.

” Yes friends, you can call me that when we’re alone not when am with other ” he said.

” But sir ” she said and he frowned.

” Does the word Darrell sound difficult for you” he asked.

” Not that, but you’re my boss, how am I suppose to call you that ” she said solemnly.

” Remember you have to call me that only when am alone with you ” he said comparing her to agree.

” Okay si…she pause when the word sir was about coming out of her mouth.. And continue.
“Okay Darre…ll ” she amended nervously. He smiled.

” Stop been afraid of me ” Darrell stated.

She nodded forge a quick smile.

” Can I go now sir… Oops sorry Darrell ” she corrected.

” Yeah sure, we meet and discuss some other time ” he said.

Natalie left the room and was amazed on how wonderful Darrell was. He could become friends with a nobody like her.

She left happily to her room complete forgetting that she was hungry, later her stomach will remind her of the lack of food in her tummy, but as this moment she was having a mixes feeling of joy and something she can’t explain. She felt like she wanna be with him all the time. Hear his voice and see those sky blue eyes of his, the uncertain feeling came up this morning and as be taunting her ever since.

Darrell in the other hand was day dreaming about the love he had for her. He had fully and finally acknowledge what he felt. And he wants her. Darrell knew she was a genius type. first his instinct tells him that she was a very good woman met for him. And also he notice a good side in her, he knew behind those hazel brown eyes of Natalie there must be lively intelligence, tenderness and passion in them, and there was a little evidence to prove his claim. She soft spoken, shy and lastly she don’t wear makeups not that he dislike it, just that he want a simple lady. And she seems like a lady who will not care of all those coz the other maid in the house put on makeups.

A Lady who will care less of those things and focus on how to make their relationsh¡p grow, who will give him true love. He is starting to see all this in Natalie. And he was sure she was the right one.

He shake his head from the lost thought and decided to answer his dad’s calling.

He went to meet him and they only went about with their business relating stuff.

Darrell was the first heir and owns many of the properties Tyler owns. Manuel and Markus they also get inheritance to the property. They’re still in the university, but their ways are very bad. They engage in all sort of irrelevant things. Things not wanted in the society, like drinking, going to night clubs, sleeping around with women. Amber is not left out, she will also inherit some of the properties when she come of age. She is still a kid. Somehow proud.

#The_next_day

Darrell was in the restaurant with his friend Cole and one of his other friend Ryan.

” So who is the lucky lady ” Ryan asked Darrell.

” Her name is Natalie, she’s a maid in my house ” he replied.

” A maid, gosh Darrell of all the wh0le wealthy billionaire’s daughter, you finally wanna end up with a maid, are you serious ” he said shockingly.

Darrell sigh.

” But isn’t she off your class ” he asked.

” She might be I don’t care ” Darrell replied solemnly.

” You’re so unbelievable, a maid, seriously ” Ryan said more in a mocking tone and Darrell was angry now. But he control the anger in him with much effort.

” Sure, is your life, I can’t interfere ” Ryan said and sip the wine in table.

Ryan was not like Darrell or Cole, he was among those rich billionaire who see poor people as nothing, but he wasn’t evasive. He won’t pay any attention to ones personal business that is the only good in him.

” You should live mister lover boy for now or else you might receive punches ” Cole tease and Ryan just shook his head.

” Whatever ” he replied taking his wine.

” You may like to turn backward and see for yourself Darrell ” Ryan said.

Darrell arched a brow at him and then turn to see what he was talking about and what he saw made his eyes w¡den in shock.
