It was his ex girlfriend Tanya. She sat at a table with another girl, probably her friend. She waved at Darrell.
Darrell have not seen her since, after the day the both of them separated, she left for the state. . Darrell had really loved Tanya a lot, imagine how heartbroken he felt when she cheated on him.
He was shocked because he just stumble on he after two years of separation. She stood up along with her friend and was heading towards Darrell’s table.
” Hello Darrell it as been a long time ” Tanya smiled, thr-sting her hand forward for a handshake.
Darrell place a smile on his lip. It will be ridiculous in his part for him to be bother about his past with Tanya, when he has found himself a new love already.
He return her smile and welcome her handshake.
” Ivy meet my ex Darrell and Darrell meet my friend Ivy ” Tanya introduce her friend and Darrell.
Her friend thr-st her hand forward for a handshake and Darrell shake her.
” Hi nice to meet you ” she said.
” Nice to meet you too ” Darrell shrug.
” Can we exchange numbers, don’t get me wrong. We can just be friends ” Tanya requested politely.
” huh ” Darrell sighed softly.
” Okay ” he agreed.
After all he don’t love her any more. Since it mutual friendsh¡p then there is nothing to worry about. They’d exchange numbers afterwards.

Darrell was heading home now. He only enjoy going home coz of Natalie. When ever is out somewhere he always get the urge to go back home to see his beloved Natalie.
He was home now working towards the stairs. Luck shine on him coz Natalie was heading towards his direction with tray of plate in her hands.
Darrell smiled at Natalie and Natalie arched a brow. She shivered a bit when she saw him.
” hi Natalie ” he wave at her a wide smile.
” Are you still busy ” he asked hopefully.
” Yes, just heading to the kitchen to drop this ” she replied, wondering where all this was leading to.
Darrell flick a smile of satisfaction, his eyes dance with mischief. He wanted her in his room at least to talk more. And eventually get to know her better.
” Okay, get me some non acholic wine, and bring it to my room, please ” he said politely and walked away.
Natalie wondering in awe, he even put please in his order. He was different from his mum, dad and siblings. She smiled as she went to the kitchen.
she did as he said, place the wine on a tray and head to his room. She knock on the door, but he didn’t respond.
She dare not enter his room, she don’t want the last episode to repeat itself. It not that Darrell would’ve a problem with that, it just that she don’t wanna evade his privacy. She had try to forget that episode, but it still fresh in her mind.
She knock again. Luckily he answered
” Come in ” Darrell said this time around.
She sighed in relief. She went and Darrell was walking torward that other door.
” Bring it here ” he said.
She followed him in, but hesitate as a thought came to her mind. What of if…. She cleared that negative thought away. Darrell will not do that to her, she’s sure. He’s a decent and kind man, he won’t take advantage of her. Why will he when he saved her from loosing the job.
She went in with much confident.

” whoa, Another room in a room ” she exclaimed with surprised in her mind. The room was almost like the room he had outside his other room.
” Is the room outside h not enough, why another room in the same room”
” Gosh the wh0le place will be someone’s apartment “she said inwardly”
Darrell coughed and she jerk back to reality.
” This is my working room ” he said coz he knew she must be wondering.
” Oh!! ” she exclaimed and look downwards sheepishly.
” Can’t you be free with me. We’re friends, aint we” he pointed out.
” Okay, but you’re still my boss. I can’t be too familiar with you, can I ” she bit out.
” Why not. Not as if I would remain your boss for long ” he said, deliberately silently his last statement.
Natalie couldn’t hear the last statement clearly.
” You said what ” she asked.
” Never mind ” he smiled at her.
And the next thing he was staring. Natalie felt uncomfortable about the way he was checking her out.
Darrell must admitt that Natalie was really a beautiful lady with hazel brown eyes. Her beautiful towny hair that was resting innocently on her shoulder. Natalie isn’t fat, not too slender either, she was caught in the middle.Darrell eyes move to her l-ips, they were small and his head spin as he imagined taking those l-ips in his.
” Your wine sir ” she said and he frowned. She was startled as she caught him frowning and she wonder where at it all gone wrong.
” You did it again ” he bit out wryly.
It was then it occur to her.
” Oh am sorry Darrell, i shouldn’t have call you ‘sir ‘ ” she said.
Darrell sighed.
” You will get use to it ” he shrug.
” So Darrell where should I put the wine ” she asked innocently.
Darrell bit his lower lip, he don’t want her to go. He isn’t even interested in the wine, just her.
” Drop it there ” he pointed to a table.
She went forward and drop it on the table. She arched a brow and saw Darrell’s fireplace.
” Wow ” she memorized. The fireplace looks so amazing. She had only come across it in the movies before.
She turn and smiled at Darrell. She was about leaving when Darrell caught her wrist. Natalie shivered at his touch coz it sent electric boly all over her body. She’d turn slowly, his hand was still on her wrist. She met his sky blue eyes pinning at her. For an instant both of them stare at each other in silent. Her knees crumbled.
” Darrell ” she was the first to break the silent. He regain his lost sense and quickly release her.
” Sorry about that, just that hum,I want you here. Ah hum just for us to get to know each other. We’re friends, ain’t we ” he said.
” But….
” No but ” he interrupted.
She wonder why he wanted know about her . Then she conclude he’s just been nice and caring, she owe him her friendsh¡p if that was what it takes to pay him for saving her job.
” Okay ” she agreed.
” You can sit over there ” he urge pointing at a chair.
She did has he said and Darrell sat at the table close to him.
Darrell took the wine she brought and pour it in the glass and then sip from it.
” Darrell why are you so nice ” she was force to ask in awe.
” Well that how I’m. Beinh nice is what humans are expected to be” he shrugged.
” But Darrell am not your class ” she bit out deliberately.
” Stop saying that, I don’t care if your not up to my class. Class and friendsh¡p don’t work together ” he frowned.
Natalie knew now that if she continue saying that it will get him upset.
” Am sorry to upset you ” she murmured.
Darrell flick another smile. He first wanted her to gain her self esteem and that will be a good start.
” So tell me more about yourself ” he said.
Natalie was quiet and stare downwards. She don’t want to began the sad tale of her life, neither do she want to be pity.
Darrell study her and feel remorseful for evading her life, but that is the only way he gets to no her.
” You don’t trust me yet to disclose anything to me, is alright ” he shrug.
” No, is not that ” she replied and sighed.
” I’m Natalie Ellison, I came from a average family” she began with lot of effort ” I just have my mom and my sister. My dad is no more. I came here coz….. She halted coz she don’t wish to disclose why she was here. But at a second thought what’s the big deal in hiding it. So she decided to continue.
” I came here coz I need to pay for my mum’s operation. She has a heart disease ” she said.
Darrell arched a brow and stare at her. He felt pity for her. And since he loves her he wants to help her out of any problem as soon as possible. He’ll do it whether she is object of not.
” How much is for your mum’s operation ” he inquired solemnly.
” But Darrell why did you wanna help me ” he asked.
” ᵇᵉᶜᵃᵘˢᵉ ⁱ ˡᵒᵛᵉ ʸᵒᵘ ” he stated inwardly to himself.
” I’m doing this coz…………
