” No ma’am please ma’am ” she said going down on her kneels in front of Mrs Olivia.
” Didn’t you hear me, you’re fired. Take your things and leave ” She yelled at her.
” Ma’am please, my mum’s life………
Olivia didn’t wait till she was done, she interrupted her with her loud uproar.
” If you don’t get your f-cking ass away from my home. I’ll have the securities dragging you out of here ” Mrs Olivia warned fiercely.
Hot tears gush down her eyes. She can’t loose this job. No how will she get money for her mum’s operation.
Natalie was still on her kneels, begging.
” Securities ” Amber yelled out loud.
After a minute the securities appeared.
” Ma’am you called for us ” the two securities who had emerged from the outside chorus together.
” Take this incompetent maid out of here ” She ordered, pointing at Natalie who was still on her kneels.
They lean forward and picked her up by the arms aggressively.
” Hey stop it ” Darrell command could be heard.
Everyone present including Natalie arched a brow at Darrell, all attention was on him.
Darrell came in and saw the way they held Natalie. He was annoyed in the way they were mishandling Natalie.
” What as he done, why do you want to get ride of her ” he asked, he was slowly suppressing is sudden anger with a supreme effort.
“Darrell ” Mrs Olivia called with a startled raised brow.
” Mum what her offence ” he asked.
” She’s clumpsy and incompetent, that why mum have to fire her ” Amber ch¡pped in.
The anger rekindled, but Darrell was putting an effort to control it.
” Let her go, give her another chance ” he demanded, noticing her watery eyes, the anger in him was replace with a sudden pain. He was feeling hurt seeing her in such a state.
” But brother I had gave many chances. I told her to bring a simple glass of water. But she couldn’t do it. The glass and tray are on the floor now. So incompetent. She should be fired ” Amber snarl, slanting her a grimace glance.
” That the way I want it, I insist on her to stay ” Darrell said firmly.
Amber rolled her eyes disgustedly. She’d knew her elder brother could be nice sometimes. What irritated her was that he would be this nice to a maid. Mrs Olivia felt the same too. She wonder why her son was too nice, little did she or anyone know that he was slowly falling in love. Darrell himself will tend to slowly acknowledge the fact he has already fall fully for the lady he just met hours ago and for whom he hadn’t ask for a name.
It said that ‘ Love grows more rapid in time and the bearer rarely acknowledge for the first encounter, it takes them period of time or even years to know what they feel towards their opposite s€×, some might know but them might refuse to act on it earlier , but in the case of Darrell it took him a day to realize he was already falling in love with beautiful Natalie. And the love was already waxing stronger than expected’.
” Son you’re………. ” Mrs Olivia cut her statement short.
Mrs Olivia sighed deeply. She notices maids are out. She’s yelled at them and the securities to get back to their respective places. They scurried away one by one. Manuel and Markus were there all the wh0le time. They just roll their eyes and went away too.
Amber gave her brother a disapproval look before leaving too.
Mrs Olivia, Natalie and Darrell reminded.
” You are lucky today, I have much time on better things than invest such a time with a nobody like you, better clean those mess ” she said gave her son a disapproval glance before living.
The word ‘ NOBODY ‘ echo in Natalie’s ears. She felt hurt by that word, a tear came out as she bend to pick up the mess.
Darrell was right behind her, he squat downward and help her to pick the broken glass in the tray.
Natalie lifted her teary and startled eye balls at Darrell, meeting with those lovely, enchanting sky blue eyes of his.
She was startled at he was helping her out. But why, haven’t in be nice enough.
” Si… sir ” she stuttered and then glance at everywhere if someone was seeing this. But no one was watching. She wipe her teary eyes with the back of her palm.
” what’s your name ” he asked with a broadly smile making him look more handsome than he regular appear to be all the time.
He was curious to know her name, he couldn’t wait for her to say it.
” Natalie ” she said.
” Sir please stop helping me with this. I can take care of it ” she added, but Darrell choose to smile at her. The way he stare at her made her little embrass, she was close to blushing.
” Natalie ” he said inwardly to himself. The name sound so amazing and sweet.
” Sir thanks for not getting me fired ” She stated.
” It alright now, just take me as your friend. Whenever you need me I’ll be there for you just as a friend is there of his friend. ” he said and wink at her. He got up to his feet and left for his room.
Natalie was stunned by his ways. She remember Beth’s words. But she didn’t know he’ll be this nice to the extend he will become a friend with a maid like her. She wasn’t even up to his standard but he just saved her.
However she was happy that she won’t loose the job again. That was her main happiness right now. She quickly pick tuck all the broken glass back in the tray and carried it away. There was still particles of the glass on the floor so she took a brush to clean the place up properly.

🌌 Nighttime 🌌
It was night already. Beth was in Natalie room. They sat on the bed discussing and Natalie was telling her of the what had happened earlier. Beth wasn’t present when it all happened. She was doing her own work at that time, she didn’t even heard the loud noise. The people who heard it was close by that why they could hear it.
” But Natalie you’ve to avoid this things. Who knows sir Darrell might not be there to save you again ” Beth warned.
” It wasn’t my fault ” Natalie confessed.
” It was that maid fault, she was the one who pushed me and the tray fell from my hands on that process ” Natalie explained.
” Fiona ” Beth muttered feeling annoyed.
” That girl is on every maids neck here. She just like intimidating her fellow maid for nothing. I hate her she’s a bitch ” Beth murmured.
” Well have met her kinds before ” Natalie said woefully. She was afraid that Fiona might make her loose this job.
” It a good thing that sir Darrell was here to save you. He so nice ” Beth said with a smile.
Natalie let at a long sigh, she recalled the last words he mentioned.
‘ It alright now, just take me as your friend. Whenever you need me I’ll be there for you just as a friend is there of his friend ‘ she counted the words weighing them with each contemplation, but could only arrive with one meaning, he was just been nice.
She’d told Beth the last statement of Darrell.
” Wow, he went are head to make you his friend ” she said exclaimed with bewilderment and surprise.
” Yes, am surprise as you’re . He’s just like one of the rare rich guys ” Natalie said.
” Whoa ” Beth sighed.

It was already 9’00clock pm, Beth as left the room to hers.
Natalie lay down in her bed and then pick her phone. She decided to give Judy a call and also here her mum’s voice before she fall asleep.
Judy answered the call at the second calling.
📞 ” Hello Judy ”
📞 ” Hi Nat ”
Natalie notice the dull sound of her sister voice. And not had to it, she only calls her Nat when something troubles her.
📞 ” What’s wrong Judy ” Natalie asked tensely.
What she heard made next made her heart beat fast, she was trying to assimilate everything.
