★ CHAPTER 19&20 ★

“Please, tell her to come see me” he muttered, and Jazzy looked at him again, wondering if he’s fine

“Why would you stay in the rain? Do you wanna get sick that badly?”

“Where’s Bae?” Vee asked.

“She’s got cramps” Jazzy replied, and his eyes widened.

“She should have told me! I’d have come to…

“But I took care of her already, and she’s currently asleep” Jazzy cut in.

“Took care of her? Warm water doesn’t work for her so…

“Yeah it’s what you’re thinking, I gave her a massage” Jazzy cut in, and Vee held his own breath for a second immediately he heard that…

“You ok?” Jazzy asked.

“I’m fine, tell her to give me a call when the morning breaks” Vee replied and started leaving.

“You should take an umbrella with you!” Jazzy shouted after him, but he didn’t look back till he got to his car and entered.

He sat without minding his wet clothes, and the seat got wet too as he began driving home.

It was slow cos he was shivering with cold throughout, and when he got home, he met Krystal waiting with the old granny.

“Vee!” Krystal spranged up and ran to him.

“Vee why are you doing this? Why the f**k did you enter the rain? You’re all drenched and…oh no you’re shivering” she said, and he smiled lightly.

“I’m fine” he said, and she scoffed.

“Do you know you rarely lie? But at the same time you lie almost all the time, saying you’re fine even when you’re not close to it”

“Jun-ho” the old maid said, and he gave her a weak smile before starting to climb the stairs, but his legs were even shaking as he climbed.

He barely climbed three when he lost balance, and his eyes closed as he began falling.

“Vee!!” Krystal and the maid screamed at a time, rushing to him.

He landed in Krystal’s arms, and her eyes stayed wide when she felt his temperature on her skin, it’s burning!

“Let’s get him to the hospital” she told the maid.

“You surely won’t like his reaction when he wakes up, he hates hospitals” the maid replied.

“Then let’s get him to his room, I’ll take care of him” Krystal said, and they jointly carried unconscious Vee.

They got him to his room and placed him in bed.

“We need to change his wet clothes first, I’ll do it” Krystal said.

“What!” The old maid blinked.

“Don’t worry” Krystal smiled, and she turned her back on them.

Krystal digged out a sweatshirt and pullover from his closet, then black joggers.

She pulled off his wet clothes and changed the sheets before wearing him the new clothes.

She dried his hair and wore him socks before starting to bring down his temperature with a lukewarm handkerchief.

“He grew up here alone, so it must have been tough” the old maid said.

“He has I and Myles, but he rarely relates with us, he prefers spending all the time in the world with his bestie” Krystal replied.

“Diva?” The maid said, and Krystal blinked.

“You know her too?”

“He told me a lot about her, and she came here to visit him a number of times when you and Myles were still in Cali” the maid replied, and Krystal sighed.

“He’s really so proud of his dear bestie”

“Are you ok with?” The maid asked, and Krystal faced her.

“Why?”

“I know you like him”

“I do, but maybe I don’t care. Love is about patience, I’m ready to wait more years till he notices me” Krystal replied.

“You think that day is gonna come? He has been crushing on Diva throughout the fifteen years of their friendship, I’ve never seen him showing interest in any other” the maid said, and Krystal smiled again.

“I really don’t care too, if I’ll wait fifteen more years to win his heart over, I’ll do it for real”

TRUE LOVE DORM**

Jazzy settled down in the living room after Vee left earlier, and he has been there since then, thinking about how Vee looked when he opened the door the other time, insanely wet from the rain.

His expression when he told him about the massage, everything explains it, he saw it clearly.

“He’s got feelings for Diva” he muttered, looking back at Diva who’s still fast asleep on the couch.

He stood and squatted in front of her, staring at her cute sleepy face deeply.

Slowly, he brought an hand to her hair and touched it gently, taking a tendril away from her face.

He was staring so hard at her face as he did that, and he felt the urge to touch her face like before.

He did, but immediately he touched, she squeezed her face, changing position by turning to the other side of the couch.

He folded his hand and stood immediately, carrying her up from the couch.

He took her into the bedroom and lay her in bed, walking out of the room immediately.

Lyric lowered the duvet from her face and blinked thrice before getting her phone.

She was actually chatting with her secret friend before Jazzy came in, so she resumed.

Lyric: Sorry I went off suddenly, Jazzy came in

Daniel: Why?”

Lyric: He carried Diva in and left

Daniel: Are you feeling asleep already?

Lyric: No! I want to continue chatting with you

Daniel: 🥰 You enjoy my company too?

Lyric: So much! You won’t know how happy I was when I saw your message for the first time, you’ve been my crush since you debuted, and I’ve been a fan of H. O. T since then, I only see your face in your music videos, others are invisible to me, Kang Daniel… you’re really cool.

Daniel: Wait! You have a crush on me?

Her eyes widened immediately, and that was when she reread her message to see she really said it.

“Ssi-Bal!” She bit her lip hard and dropped her phone, heaping the duvet over herself while throwing her legs in the air.

“Why did i type that!… Lyric!!!”

****** When fate strikes episode 23 – 24

NEXT MORNING, HWANG MANSION**

Vee woke up to a cold morning, maybe cos of the rain last night.

He closed his eyes and held his forehead before sitting up, then he opened his eyes slowly to see Krystal.

She’s sitting on the ground beside the bed, and her head is on the bed, she’s still asleep.

“When did she get here?” he muttered, and that was when he took a look at himself.

His eyes widened when he saw new clothes on himself.

“Who changed them?” He asked himself, and Krystal’s eyes opened immediately.

“Vee… you’re awake?” She muttered, looking at him with drowsy eyes.

“Who changed my clothes?” He asked straight, and she blinked.

“I did”

“What! You did?” His eyes widened again.

“Why? I can’t?” She replied.

“How could you change my clothes? You could have called Myles or…

“Or what? Leave you till you shiver till death? Now I’m the one at fault for taking care of my friend? Can’t you just appreciate me for once? I know you have no feelings for me but can you please treat me better? Vee…

“Krystal listen, I’m not…

“I don’t wanna listen, you’re probably gonna tell me another thing to make me cry again” she sniffed, and he came down from the bed.

He walked to her and hugged her gently, calming her down.

“I’m sorry ok? Goodmorning, and thanks” he said, and she hugged him back immediately, tightening it a lot.

“Don’t enter the rain anymore, don’t try it again, promise me” she whispered.

“I promise” he smiled, and she smiled too, rubbing his back.

“Why did you enter though?” She asked.

“I was…

“Yunno what? Don’t bother explaining, I understand” she suddenly said, breaking the hug.

She got her bag from the table and faced him.

“See you at the agency” she said.

“I’ll be there” he replied, and she pecked his right cheek.

“Bye!” She rubbed his arm slightly, and he nodded as she left the room.

Mr. Hwang is not around, so the house is peaceful.

He got his phone quickly, expecting to see a text from Diva, but he saw none.

“Is she still asleep?” He muttered, dropping the phone.

He got his jacket from last night and brought out the box of cigar.

He walked to the bin and threw it in, but immediately he took two steps away from it, he came back to take it.

“Young master, breakfast is ready” the old maid said from the door.

“I’ll be out in three minutes” he replied, getting his phone to check for Diva’s message again, but there’s still none.

“Is she still in pains?” He muttered worriedly.

TRUE LOVE DORM**

“Eonni!” Lyric hugged Diva immediately she came out of her room.

She’s the last to come out cos everyone is already in the living room, preparing to go brush.

“Are you ok? You’re always the first to wake” Freddy asked.

“I got cramps last night” she replied.

“What!” Lyric and Piper chorused.

“You should have told us! How could you bear the pain alone?” Piper said again.

“Jazzy helped, so I’m fine now” she replied, facing him.

“Thanks, leader, I’ll pay you back” she smiled.

“With what?” He replied.

“Anything you want” she said, and he nodded.

“Let’s keep that till another day, we’re entering the streets today again, and also… Manager Kim wants to see us so we’re visiting the agency” he said.

“Let’s go brush!” Lyric said excitedly, leading the way into the brushing room.

Piper and Freddy followed, and when Diva made to go in…

“Vee came by last night” Jazzy suddenly said, and she looked at him.

“What!”

“Yeah, he said you should call him” he said.

“I’ll do that, thanks” she smiled and entered the room.

Jazzy sighed, biting softly on his lip.

He knowingly didn’t tell her about the fact that Vee waited in the rain, and he began regretting immediately.

GALAXY LABELS, 10:20AM**

Rhapsody was led into a room by lady, and immediately she saw the panel in front of her, she held her breath.

The CEO himself plus ten other popular soloists in the agency, then Vodka himself.

She’s gonna be singing in front of all of them? Gawd!

She froze immediately, but she gathered the scanty confidence and entered the booth where she used headphones and stood in front of a standing microphone.

It was Sweetheart who played the tubes in the piano, and she took a deep breath before starting to sing.

She was singing so wholeheartedly that even the ones who hold a grudge would probably let it go at the sound.

She’s got a tiny voice to crown it all, so it was easy with no single mistake till the end.

She stopped with the piano at once, and she released a light exhale before opening her eyes.

It was the CEO who clapped first, then the soloists behind him.

Vodka smiled, resting back on his chair.

“Now why haven’t we found you till now? Where have you been?” The CEO said, and she smiled.

“You mastered this classic song within a night? Bravissimo!” One of the soloists said too.

Comments kept coming from all of them, sweet ones which made her blush throughout.

“No further talks, you’re ours from now on, prepare to debut next week” the CEO said, and her eyes widened.

“What!”

“Yeah, Sweetheart” He called, and the shinny dude looked up from the piano.

“Write more lines for the song before tommorow, she needs to start her photoshoot tommorow too” the CEO said, and Rhapsody gasped again, covering her mouth.

“Welcome to Galaxy” the CEO smiled brightly and left the room.

“Congratulations”

“Congrats Rhapsody”

The other soloists began hugging her one by one as they left, but the last one stayed and tried introducing herself.

“I’m…

“Yoo Rita, who wouldn’t know you? I’ve been your fan since the onset” Rhapsody interrupted, and she smiled.

“Welcome to Galaxy, you’re one lucky chic though. I can still remember struggling for one year to get here as a soloist, but you did it within two days, and you even got a good songwriter, I’m jealous” Rita said.

“All thanks to Vodka, I really owe him a lot. All these still feels like a dream seriously” Rhapsody replied.

“Connections helps a lot now I know, I’ll see you tommorow” Rita said.

“Sure” Rhapsody hugged her again, and she left the room

Now it’s her and Vodka in the room, and he stood immediately she faced him.

“I owe you everything from now on, thanks so much!” She went on her knees, and he smiled cockily without replying as he walked out of the room.

Almost immediately, her phone buzzed, definitely a message from him.

•My place tonight, the usual time.

She smiled after reading it, and she stood as she typed a reply.

•Sure boss, I can’t wait!

RAINBOW ENTERTAINMENT, 12PM**

TRUE LOVE stepped in together at once, and they met Manager Kim waiting by the door surprisingly.

“Is it that urgent for you to wait here? Mr. Kim” Jazzy said.

“Come with me, y’all” he replied impatiently and led the way to a room.

“Whoa” Lyric said, looking around the beautiful white room.

“You guys need to do a dance here one by one, I’m sending the record to the CEO” he said.

“Why is that?” Diva asked.

“Another show is coming up next week, and there’s one more space for a band to participate, if you guys do well, then you can get on” Mr. Kim replied.

“Now I get why you told us to dress nicely” Piper said.

“Let’s do it” Freddy said, and Diva smiled.

“Was just about to say that, let’s do it” she said, and they exchanged glances before forming a line.

There’s a camera in the room already, so it captures as they dance.

Mr. Kim set it to three minutes, and they debated who’d go first among them all.

A free plain beat was already playing fast.

As the main dancer, Piper went first, and as she danced, the others hailed her loudly, calling her name and screaming so loud till she was done.

Lyric went next, and they screamed , chanting her name too till she was done.

As usual, she twerked before stepping aside for Jazzy, his dance moves making Diva smile.

“Jazzy!!!!” She screamed, and that only made him dance more.

He did three handstands before leaving for Freddy.

Freddy did a drunk dance, looking so s*xy as he dangled around the stage till he left for Diva.

Immediately she stepped on stage to dance, Vee came in with his band.

They actually came to see their manager since they’re also under the agency, but he’s not in.

He’s a friend to Mr. Kim, so they came to ask of him.

“Vee? Wait aside I’m still busy for now” manager Kim said, and he nodded.

He wasn’t even concentrating before cos immediately he came in, his attention got stolen by dancing Diva.

He stood still on his tracks and watched with wide open mouth as she did her dance.

Jazzy swallowed hard on his spot, feeling heat suddenly.

She ruined it all when she turned her back on them and placed her hands on her head, then she began twerking like that, shaking it bad while biting her lip softly.

Vee’s eyes widened, and his mouth opened same time either Jazzy’s.

“What the f**k!” They gasped loudly at once
