“what??”,Michael shouted.

“what happened?”,I asked, confused.

“i thought your dad in prison?”,he asked.

“well yea….why?”,I asked, totally lost.

“well your dad is behind all this”,he replied.

“what! No, that’s not possible, my dad is in prison remember?”,I asked.

‘will I joke about something do serious?’,he asked.

I can’t put myself to believing…how is that even possible?

Except……he Is out of prison!

I stood transfixed, geez! I must get to the root of this…

I ran out …‘Richie, where are you going?’,Michael called out, but I ignored.

I got home….. (Lisa’s parents house) and ran in!

The lights were off….before I could locate the switch…someone gripped me from behind

“wh….who ade you?”,I asked, frightened

Wait….I know that cologne…that’s my dad’s cologne.

“dad, why are you doing this?”,I asked.

“richie, Richie, Richie. My naive daughter Richie, it seems you don’t know who you are messing with…well lemme tell you…I kill anyone who stands in my way, regardless of whom the person might be, and you seem to be my obstacle, so you have to die like your mother”,he said.

“mother is dead?”,I asked and he chuckled.

“yes! I killed her coz she wanted to support you guys”,he replied and I smirked.

“kill mW then, go ahead”,I said and he was shocked and confused.

“hold it! Mr Clifford adner, you are under arrest for escaping from prison, killing your wife and attempted murder”,the police said.

Wait! You guys thought I would go there empty handed? Well, am not so dumb! I got some police officers who came and stood by. I knew he was gonna make a confession!

“stay back or i’ll kill her”,he threatened, moving back slowly.

The cops were unable to do anything at that point…he moved backwards slowly, and pushed me away, running through the back door.

Luckily, some cops were outside, they shot aimlessly at him, and hr fell down, lifeless!

Geez!

I got back to the hospital, and told Michael and Nora everything!

Lisa hasn’t still regained consciousness!

I am missing her voice already!

I let the fake nurse go…lisa pls get better, there is something I want to tell you!

I sat by her and held her hands, she seemed so lifeless!.

I looked at my brother and I could see pain written all over his face.

I sat at the other side of the bed, and suddenly, lisa’s necklace fell off….

I bent to pick it, but Jackson took it instead..
“oh my gosh, I can’t believe this, my sister is right here with me”,he said, as tears of joy flowed down.

He brought out his own necklace, and joining it together formed love.

I went back home to freshen up, blake was in the sitting room.

I passed sullenly

“Where are you coming from?”,he asked, not looking at me.

“the hospital”,I replied, not looking at him too.

“you are there solving other people’s problems and risking your life, but you haven’t talk about your personal family”,he replied.

I ignored him and ran upstairs!

I freshen up and walked back downstairs.

As I stepped put of the door, he pulled me back.

“i said am sorry, pls forgive me, hwy are you treating me this way?”,he asked.

“leave me! My sister is in the hospital, unconscious, you haven’t even thought of coming to see, and you are talking about forgiveness, you sulk”,I said, spitting out derisively.

I forced my way out and got to the hospital.

Its been five months now and lisa is till unconscious! I have been going to the hospital to see her.

Hmm! I really miss her and worse still, my parents are on my neck.

The want me to get married! Geez!

I went to the hospital as usual, and sat close to lisa.

According to the doctor, Lisa’s condition has improved a bit!

I hope so too! I held her hands.

”lisa, pls wake up, am missing you too much”,I said, sobbing.

Her fingers moved…..this is my illusion right?

I looked at her face, her eyes were closed…I knew it was just mere illusion.

I stood up, about to leave, when her hands gripped my fingers firmly.

I quickly sat down back!

“lisa!”,I called out excitedly

Her eyes slowly opened, as she forced out a smile.

“ohhh lisa, I missed you”,I said happily, bent down and hugged her.

All these months it was Michael and a strange guy who came often to see me. Then sometimes Richie and nora.

That strange kept muttering things like “my long list sister”.

Hmm! I am so glad to finally see Michael.

His eyes were swollen, and he wasn’t dressing properly…it must have been tough for him.

I touched his checks, as he brought down my hands and kissed it.

He made some phone calls and in a jiffy, Nora, Richie and I think that strange guy came in!

They all looked happy, Nora and Richie hugged me, and as that strange guy bent to hug me, I saw something round his neck.

“how did you get that?”,I asked slowly and weakly.

“oh, its mine, I know! Its a long story, but all you need to know is, am your brother, Jackson”,he replied.

I touched my neck to find my necklace, but it was gone! As if he knew, he brought it out, and joined it with his!

Yea…..he is actually my brother!

“so what really happened?”,I asked Jackson.

“well, on that fateful day, I watched as dad and mum were killed in cold blood. I tried to escape, but he sent assassin to get me, which they did”,he replied.

“so how come you are still alive?”,Michael asked.

“well, when the assassins got me, they let me go coz they felt I didn’t deserve to die, but I had to promise them that I will never come back to this country”,he replied.

“whoah, so you went through all that? How did you survive?”,I asked.

“well, I wandered around for two days, then a woman picked me, and decided to take care of me. She was a widow with no children”,he replied.

“am glad you are safe”,I muttered.

“me too”,I replied and we hugged.

I looked at Michael…he was so happy, but now I think what he needs is some alone time with lisa!

I whispered to Richie and she agreed, now we need to get Jackson out.

“hey…Jackson, come, there is something I will like to tell you!”,I said, winking at him.

”flirt”,he blurted out and I chuckled.

We all left the ward…..

I sat three, this is an awkward moment.

“uhmn…..so how long have I been here?”,she asked.

”close to six months”,I replied and her jaws dropped.

“oh my gosh! Its such a long time, this hospital sulks”,she said.

“don’t worry, after I get your medication, we will go home”,I replied.

“we? Well, I thought maybe uhmn…..now that uhmn everything is ok….I will go back to my home”,she replied, and my mood changed.

“uhmn……who will take care of you?”,I asked.

“my brother”,she replied.

It seems she noticed my mood, and she brought my face closer.

“dont worry, I understand how you feel, you are in love with me, don’t be surprised, I know, you blurted it out when I was unconscious”,she replied, and my jaws dropped.

“uhmn…well..uhmn….so?”,I asked.

“i love you too”,she replied smoking.

I was so happy, I kissed her, then stared at her face! She had no expression!

“am. .am sor…”.

“don’t be”,she replied, pulled me close and crashed her lips on mine.
