“Isn’t that Lauren’s Porsche?”. I asked her to be sure.

“It seems like it and isn’t that your cheating ex boyfriend’s car? I recognized it from his garage when I went back to beat him up”.

I stared at it. That is Nick’s car but what is it doing here along with Lauren’s car? Are they both in,side right now? With Liam?!!.

I held Chloe’s hand nervously. “I don’t think I can go in there right now”.

“And why is that?”.

“Isn’t it obvious? Lauren and Nick are in there right now”.

She sighed. “Gosh!! Brie, don’t be dumb, you are here to meet Liam and not them”.

“I know but it will be so awkward meeting my ex boyfriend that I once loved and my good for nothing stepsister”.

“Brie, nothing is going to happen. Yes, you dated Nick but thats in the past not now”.

I fiddled with my shirt. “I’m not so sure if I should go in there, Chloe”.

“What?”.

“Maybe we should go back. I can always come back another time”.

“So what? You gonna postpone telling Liam you are pregnant just because there are some people there”.

“Yep, precisely”.

“Seriously? Can’t you just step up for once in your life?”.

“Lauren is in there”. I say frustrated. “How do you expect me to talk to him when she’s there?”.

“He invited you himself so I don’t see any reason why you should be afraid of Lauren besides this is not her place where she can boss you around”. She told me.

“You are right, I should go in regardless of anyone in there”.

“Thats what I’ve trying to tell you since”.

I faced her. “Thanks, Chloe. You are the best, you always know what to say”.

“I’m always the best but hey!! If this works out then you make me the godmother of that child”. She pointed to my stomach.

I chuckled quietly. “Always, it will be you”.

“Now lets get in there”.

I paused. “You are going in with me?”.

“Of course, who knows what that bitch is capable of doing?”.

I chuckled again and linked arms with her while walking over to the main entrance. I can’t believe Liam puts four bodyguards at the entrance.

They stepped aside for us to pass through and we did but stopped as I noticed that a heated conversation was going on.

Lauren was sort of arguing with Liam while Lucas watched. Nick eyes darted to me the moment I walked through the door.

“Should we come back later?”. Chloe spoke up. “I can see that we interrupted a family meeting here”.

Lauren turned to me immediately. “You are such a shameless bitch!!”.

“You watch the way you speak to my best friend”.

“After knowing that Liam was my boyfriend but still … “. Lauren continued. “You’ve got the nerves to come here”.

I crossed my arms. “Really? Says the girl who also slept with my boyfriend”.

She frowned and I glanced at Nick to see he was uncomfortable with what I said.

“I’m sure your dear Liam doesn’t know that, huh? You are the bitch here, Lauren because you knew how much I loved Nick but still you went on to bed with him”.

“Wait a minute”. Liam butted in. “You are the Brianna that he supposedly cheated on”.

“Of course”. I glanced at Nick. “I loved him but he threw that away for a night with my own step sister”.

“At least, it proved that he wanted me and not you so stop being an attention seeker”.

My eyes moistened. “And how did that work out for you?”.

“What are you even doing here anyways? I don’t want to see you here”.

“Mummy!!”.

I turned to the grand stairs to see the cute little Lilian running towards me. Wait? Did she just call me Mummy?

She ran into my arms and I had to embrace her though, it felt nice hugging her small body frame to mine.

She giggled pulling back. “You came”.

“Wait, what?”. Lauren let out a scoff. “Did she just call you … “.

“Yep, she did which means that you are the one not needed here. As you can see, Brie is important”. Chloe defended me.

She frowned again walking towards me which made me kind of panic that she was going to slap me.

“Whatever you have, Brianna. I just want you to remember this, you will never be better than me”.

“Your words won’t get to me this time”.

“I guess we’ll see about that”. She turned to Liam. “And maybe we’ll see who wants who?”.

As she said that, she left immediately and got me confused. What does she mean by that?

“Lauren!!”.

I watched as Liam went after her. Wow, he must really love her. My heart sinked at the thought of that, too bad, I don’t always get the good things.

“Oh dear”. A middle aged woman walked along. “Lili, come on, lets leave the adults here”.

“But I want to stay with Brianna”. She says clinging on to me.

Oh so now she calls me by my name? Why did she call me her mommy earlier before?

I crouched in front of her. “Come on, i came here to see you, right? You still have plenty of time to be with me so you can go with your nanny”.

“You’ll stay here with this night?”. She asked hopefully.

I glanced at Chloe and she shrugged which makes me confused on what to say to Lili.

“She’ll stay with you”. The Nanny said as she led her away.

“Wow. I never knew Liam’s daughter could be this cute considering how he is”.

I faced Chloe. “Oh so you can compliment on your boss’s cuteness and not Liam?”.

“Shut up, Brie. He’s right behind you”.

I turned immediately to see Lucas coming towards us with Nick as well but keeping his distance probably because of Chloe.

“So you were the girl who actually beat him up?”. Lucas asked her and she blushed.

Awwww. How cute, finally Chloe Houston gets to like someone, thank goodness.

“Brianna”.

“Nicholas”. I said coldly.

“I’m sorry, for how we broke up, for what I did and__”.

“And for being a jerk?”. I completed his sentence.

He sighed. “I didn’t mean to cheat on you, Brianna”.

“But you did and hurt my feelings, Nick. I thought we had something, like a spark but it looks like I was only imagining things that weren’t there in the first place”.

“I’m sorry, I never meant to do that, I ..”. He trailed off.

“I don’t want your apology or pity, I’m used to being cheated on, i’m used to being the one to be replaced”.

“Am I interrupting something?”. Liam came towards us.

I stepped back. “No, you weren’t”.

I noticed a flash of hurt in Nick’s eyes but I was past caring, way past caring. He hurt me, just like the others, he will always be a part of my past not the present or future.

“I gotta go”. He tapped Liam and walked off.

Liam faced me with curious eyes and I look away instead to see Chloe and Lucas still in their conversation. What are those two talking about all these while?

“So you two planning a date?”. I teased as I walked over to them.

Chloe glared at me playfully and I chuckled a little. I just love teasing this crazy girl.

“Hey. Have a fun time, okay?”.

“I will”. I assured her.

“And umm, are you staying for the night like she said or should I come pick you up later?”.

“She’ll stay for the night”. Liam say coming over.

“Oh great”.

Chloe gave me a warm hug before leaving along with Lucas. I wonder what those two are up to.

“So, welcome to my place”.

I faced Liam. “You know I’m only here for Lili right?”.

“Yeah, I know”.

“I just want to remind you so your girlfriend wouldn’t get so worked up with me being present in your place”.

“And here’s a strawberry cake for you as well”.

I smiled as she handed me one. I took a bite out of it carefully chewing it slowly.

“Its sweet, Lili”. I say still munching.

“I love strawberry cakes, its what I usually eat for desserts”. She chattered. “Daddy loves it too”.

“Really?”.

“Yep. And its the best cake ever”.

“I don’t think so. I’d go for chocolate cake any day”. I bit softly into the cake.

She frowned slightly. “You are not a fan of strawberry?”.

“Its not that I’m not a fan, its just that__”.

“Baby”. Liam stride in the kitchen stopping when he saw us. “What are you two doing here?”.

“I wanted Brianna to share my dessert but she doesn’t like it”.

What? Really?

“Lili, I didn’t say I don’t like it”. I corrected her.

She pouted. “But its your favorite”.

“Well everyone has different views”.

“I want your favorite to be my favorite”.

I beamed flattered. “Lili. I like chocolate but it doesn’t mean I hate strawberry besides I can eat it if you want me to”.

“Or we can make chocolate cake and then Daddy will vote which one tastes better”.

I chuckled lightly. “It doesn’t work that way, my love, you can’t change my opinion”.

“Okay”. She said sadly.

“Hey!! How about we make chocolate cake just for eating and not competition? Then we can check out your dollhouses”.

She squealed excitedly. “I like that”.

“Sweet”. I glanced at Liam. “She do have dollhouses, right?”.

“Daddy gives me as a birthday present every year”.

“Oh really?”. I asked amusedly.

“Yes. But this year will be different because I asked for something different”.

“And what is that?”.

“You are giving me a new baby sister”.

I immediately choked on my strawberry cake as she said that. Liam patted my back slightly as I tried to steady my breathing.

Lili stared at me keenly. “Did I say anything wrong?”.

“No, not at all. But a baby sister?”. I glance at Liam. “And from me?”.

“Okay fine, I want a brother instead”.
