“Governor?”.

Why is he calling me? And how the heck did he get my number? I’m so confused.

“I have a reason for calling you personally and its about my daughter, Emilia. We need to talk”.

“If its about the reason I sent those cops to question then at the station then drop it”. I replied him coldly.

“I didn’t call to argue. One thing, release my daughter from that station”.

I let out a scoff. “Seriously? My girlfriend almost died because of her”.

“I’m serious, Knights. You either do that or we talk in my office and trust me you won’t like it”.

“How about this? There’s nothing you can do to me, you shouldn’t protect Emilia, she is a murderer just so you know”.

“And I might become one too, you know”.

“What?”. I asked confusedly.

“I know where you are, look outside your car window. My men are all there, all they need is a signal from me and then your car goes boom”.

“You are bluffing”.

“I don’t joke around. I have no time to do that, I am the Governor”.

I turned off the engine and walked out of my car slamming the car door behind me. I look around then pause seeing one of his guards, then two more.

Holy shit!! He has me surrounded but how and Gosh!! I should have thought of this.

“You don’t scare me”. I said coldly into the phone.

“Chloe Houston”.

I paused hearing her name. “What?”.

“25 years old”. She continued. “Graduated from Harvard College, hair color is brunette and she always think Violence answers all”.

“How the f–k did you get this information about her?”. I growled angrily.

“Knights. You have 10 seconds to call up those cops and release my daughter or else your girlfriend gets it”.

“You wouldn’t dare”.

“I’m sure she wouldn’t like seeing her own apartment blow up now”. He added.

“This isn’t fair. You won’t get away with this, Governor”.

“I already am. Countdown begins, whats your take?”.

I frowned looking around as I sighted more of his guards. If he could inform them to kill me here then what more planting a bomb in Chloe’s apartment?

He’s evil like his daughter. Always putting innocent lives at stakes all the time, how dare he blackmail me with Chloe’s life?

“I’ll call the cops up and withdraw my case”. I replied through gritted teeth.

“Good job, Knights. It was nice doing business with you”.

I immediately disconnected the call hitting the phone on the car. I can’t help it, I’m so angry at myself, I can’t even get justice for Chloe. This isn’t over, Governor.

I quickly dialed Mark’s number, he’s the only one that came to mind. I can’t believe I’m withdrawing the goddamn case.

His voice came up. “Yo. Buddy, whats up?”.

“Call it quits”.

“What?”.

“I call it quits”. I repeated myself. “Just get the case we filed at the station withdrawn immediately”.

“Why the hell, man? We are this close to winning, why are you backing out?”.

“I can’t tell you for now, just do as I say, no questions asked, please”.

“Sure, dawg. I got your back as always”.

He cut the call and I sighed breathing out. I wanted to see Emilia and Lauren rot in jail and now thats not happening, all because of injustice.

“So, how’s the baby?”. She asked referring to my stomach.

“Chloe. Are you okay?”.

“Brie, for the umpteenth time, I’m fine, okay? I am good”.

“I was worried about you”. I crouched next to her. “I was supposed to get shot, why did you get in the way?”.

“You are my best friend and I can’t let you get harmed most especially when my own godchild is in there”.

I chuckled lightly. “Thank you”.

“Woah, woah”. Liam butted in. “I didn’t say Chloe could be the godmother”.

“Either that or your hair”.

“My apologies, carry on”. Liam said and I bursted into laughter.

Almost immediately, Lucas walked in the ward. He came towards us and then k!$sed Chloe all of a sudden.

I gaped at him surprised. What the f–k just happened right now?. I stood up from my seat walking backwards away from them.

They were even caught up in their heated moment to notice me walking away. Now I am sure that Chloe has fallen love, she’s even reciprocating the k!$s.

“Make a wish, baby”. I told Lilian.

“I wish to be a princess”.

I smiled watching her. Today is her birthday and yeah, I did the while decorations. All Liam had to do was the guest list, thats all.

I never imagined that Lilian’s eight birthday party could be this huge. Major influences from around the world were present and it was pretty huge for a little girl’s party.

“Hey”. Liam whispered in my ear giving me the tingles. “I need to talk to you”.

I turned to him. “Now? When her party is going on?”.

“She has cut her cake already. Anna, come on, please its important”.

“Fine”. I sighed. “But it better be important or else”.

He chuckled lightly. “Yeah, yeah. Lets go”.

He held my hand intertwining our fingers as we left the booming birthday party. We went through the back door and he took me to his garage.

“Seriously?”. I faced him. “You wanted to show me your garage?”.

“Did you see those new cars?”.

I turned and stared at it. A Porsche and a Mercedes Benz, Oh My Gee, they both are so classy and beautiful.

“You really got some classy taste, Liam”. I complimented him admiring the cars.

“I bought them for you”.

I paused hearing what he said. What? Like what? Did he just … Nah, he didn’t.

“So they are mine?”. I asked him surprised.

“They are yours, Brianna”.

My face broke into a smile immediately and I squealed excitedly in delight. He bought these expensive cars for me, Oh Gosh!!.

“Liam. This is Gosh!!”.

I quickly hugged him not knowing what to say anymore. He really surprised me this time, I mean, I’ve never received gifts like this from anyone.

I pulled away staring at the cars. “I love them already”.

“Do you like the color? I didn’t exactly know your favorite so I just chose randomly but I can change the colors if you want”.

“No, Liam. I love it”. I hugged him again this time more tighter. “And I love, I mean, I like you”.

He chuckled pulling away. “You are still having a hærd time confessing your feelings for me, right?”.

“Oh please”. I said with an eye roll

“Stop trying to deny it”. He whispered to me huskily. “Brianna, you’ve lived with me for a month now”.

“Denying what?”.

He smiled a little. “I like you, Anna”.

“W-What?”.

“Years ago, if someone had asked me what an Addiction was then I would have told them heroine or drugs”.

“Where are you going with this?”. I asked him confused.

“Right now, to me, Addiction is loving you so immensely, I wake up everyday to make sure you lie next to me. With you, nothing is enough, I would always want more”.

I giggled lightly. “Liam, thats so sweet”.

“You are more addictive than any drug, I want to see you every time, feel you. You are my Addiction, Brianna and I think I’m Addicted To You”.

Without hesitation, I immediately wrapped my hands around him and k!$sed him. He returned the k!$s encircling his hand round my w–st.

“I love you”. He muttered between my l-ips and I felt like I was dancing on air.

“Did you have to do that?”. I asked as we walked through the main entrance.

She turned back. “I didn’t do anything wrong to her”.

“Lilian. Pulling on someone’s hair is bad”.

“Its not my fault, she said my dancing skills s×¢ks so I had to teach her a lesson”.

“Well the both of you should have talked it out nicely and besides baby, she was only trying to help you”.

“I’ll be in my room”. She said and walked up the stairs.

I sighed watching her storm upstairs. She was actually the wrong one in the situation but she won’t accept it, putting the blame on the other girl.

Nanny came out to the living room. “What happened this time?”.

“I don’t think I can handle her right now”.

“I’ll just go talk to her”. Nanny said and went off as well.

I went to the kitchen to drink water as the workers in the house kept addressing me as ma’am. It feels so good to be in charge.

Lauren stopped threatening me along with her two bitchy friends, Emilia and Lea. I did not contact my Dad since then, why would I in the first place?

And also Liam made me stop wprkong at that restaurant. According to him, I shouldn’t stress his baby out and Chloe, she’s alright, still Lucas’s Personal Assistant.

A lot happened within this five months, I now live with Liam and his daughter in this mansion. Chloe secured her own house but she lives alone now. My stomach is bulgy due to the baby bump of six months.

I gulped a glass of water dropping it back on the kitchen counter. Then I walked back into the living room heading straight for the stairs.

After a hectic climbing, pregnancy does take a toll on me. I got to my room and then opened the door walking in closing it behind me.

I dropped my car key on the table and sat on the bed tiredly. Taking care of Lilian is so hærd, she is sweet but doesn’t take No for an answer.

I stood up and walked over to the mirror as I stared at my reflection. I’m thinking being pregnant suits me a lot, I then car×ssed my tummy imagining how my baby looks like.

A loud knock on the door jolted me back to reality. I glanced sideways wondering who is at the door.

“Mommy?”.

“Its open, Lili”.

The door opened slowly and she stepped in. I opened my arms wide for her and she giggled excitedly rushing to hug me.

I k!$sed her hair. “How’s my baby doing?”.

“I’m sorry”. She apologized lowly. “Nanny said I shouldn’t have talked back at you”.

“Its okay, sweetie. You were expressing your thoughts and I’m fine with that”.

She looked up at me. “So you not angry?”.

“I’m not”. I tweaked her nose playfully. “You are so cute for me to get angry at”.

She giggled again. “Mommy. How’s the baby?”.

“She’s fine”. I rubbed my tummy. “I’m sure she missed her big sister very much”.

“I miss her too. Um, how about we all watch the T.V together? So I can be with her”.

“Okay then”. I agreed with her. “Lets all go watch T.V”.

“My little pony!!”. She squealed excitedly making me laugh too.

I played with the tip of my pen as I watch her present the main ideas to our company partners. Gosh!! She’s so smart yet hot.

She finally concluded and they all clapped, I wasn’t even listening as I was busy ogling her during the meeting. Thank goodness, its ended already.

One by one, all of them left the conference room before finally leaving only me and my Personal Assistant.

“You did a great presentation”. I spoke up.

“Thanks”. She replied still flipping through the images on the projector screen.

I stood up from my seat. “Chloe? What are you doing?”.

“I don’t think my presentation was good enough so I’m trying to find out what part of it needs to be enhanced”.

I walked towards where she was standing and turned off the projector screen taking the remote control device.

“Lucas. Why did you do that?”.

“I thought I said your presentation was great so what assurance do you need?”.

She didn’t reply so I moved closer to her brushing my l-ips on her nose, she moved backwards immediately as she blushed.

“What are you doing?”. She whispered. “We are still in the board room just incase you forgot”.

“Fine then. Meet me in my office, Chloe”. I told her and walked past her heading to the main entrance.

I stepped out and folded my sleeves to my elbows. I went to the other side of the top floor going to my office, the CEO’s office.

In a short moment from now, she will be here. I told myself that fact while entering into my office. Its funny how I’ve gotten to fall in love with Chloe.

I sat back on my chair spinning it around, I actually resigned to the fact that I won’t be able to love again and then she came in breathing in life to my cold heart.

As expected, minutes later, I heard a knock on the door and immediately knew it was her.

“Come in”.

The door opened and Chloe walked in, her hair recently packed into a bun, the tendrils falling to sides framing her beautiful face.

“So you asked me to see you, boss?”.

I arched my eyebrows. “Boss?”.

“Yes, Boss”. She repeated herself. “Or is it Sir?”.

“I thought we agreed on calling by my name, Chloe”.

She sighed. “Fine, Lucas. You asked me to meet you here”.

“I wanted to see you”.

“Oh Gosh. We are work, remember?”.

“And I own that same work, remember?”.

“No, I don’t remember”.

I chuckled lightly as I stood up and went to stand in front of her. She looks beautiful to me every second.

She chewed on her l-ips slightly. “So why am I here?”.

“Have I told you how beautiful you are?”.

I placed my palm on her face as I car×ssed it with my thumb while she blushed totally, her cheeks depicting red shade.

I made to k!$s her when she pulled away moving backwards.

“Don’t even think about it”.

“About what?”. I asked amused.

“This is a workplace, Lucas. You can’t just k!$s me whenever you deem it fit”.

“I wasn’t going to k!$s you”. I lied.

She rolled her eyes and I hastily pecked her l-ips.

“What makes you think I can’t hit you for doing that right now?”.

“I’m your boss and you love me too much”.

She blushed again and I placed my l-ips on hers sliding my hands around her w–st. I nibbled on her l-ips as she delved her hands into my hair responding to the k!$s.

I deepened the k!$s as she opened up, her l-ips were so warm and inviting. Her hands roamed my hair freely as I pulled her closer.

Then I withdrew slowly as she smiled shyly tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.

She immediately hit me making me gr0-n and rest on the table behind me.

She glared at me. “I did tell you not to k!$s me”.

I watched as Lili sang along to the song packing a handful of popcorn into her mouth cutely. Everything about her is cute.

I glanced at the time hastily, she has been watching this movie for about two hours.

I turned back to my phone as I scrolled through my Instagram. I keep getting new followers all the time, probably because I’m with Liam now.

“Mommy, I’m tired”. Lili yawned.

Her eyes looked drowsy as she still looked at the T.V. She needs to sleep, I don’t think she had her siesta today.

I signaled on a maid to take her to her room before I stood up heading towards stairs climbing upwards. I got to the hallway and went directly to my room.

I walked into the restroom to urinate and then admired my baby bump again for few minutes before walking out back into the room.

Just as I stepped back in, the door opened and I turned to see Liam walk through.

“You are back?”. I asked in surprise.

“Yep”.

He dropped his suitcase on the table and removed his chiffon suit before the shirt.

“But why? You never get off work usually this early”.

“I missed someone so badly”. He walked over to me.

“You missed me?”.

“Don’t get your hopes up, I was talking to the baby”.

I hit him playfully and he chuckled pulling me into a k!$s. I m0-ned as he k!$sed me hungrily. Someone really did missed me.

Oh My Gosh!! I m0-ned breathlessly as he pulled out of me releasing everything in,side of me.

I gasped for air as I breathed out falling on the bed. Liam laid beside breathing deeply, he pulled me close to him as he placed a light k!$s on my l-ips.

“So we should name him?”.

“I’m tired”. I rolled onto him.

He chuckled silently. “Brianna? What should we name him? Our baby?”.

“Its a She, Liam and her name is Beverly”.

“Its gonna be a boy”.

“A girl”.

“A boy”. He argued with me.

I rolled my eyes. “I guess we’ll know in three months”.

“Yeah”.

“Liam, what are you doing?”. I gape as he climbed on top me again.

“What?”. He grinned. “You want a girl and I want a boy, lets make more babies then”.
