A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth which Ukrans waited patiently to hear from the Cadiwans. King Corbatt stood still, watching as the five men circulated Damon and began to chant in spanish. Their voices echoed along the street of the city kingdom and the castle. The silence observed could make one wonder if only the Cadiwans occupied the city kingdom.

Nevertheless, in the royal castle, at a window, the princess and Albat watched the drama in anticipation. Adriana didn’t look happy. Albat could see it on her face. Therefore she said, “My princess, this should be your happiest moment. Kadura is actually here.”

Adriana glanced at him. “What do you know about happiness?” she asked rhetorically. “Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product. The secret of happiness is to find a congenial monotony. There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved. All happiness solely depends upon the quality of the object to which we are attached by love.” she averted from her to the window again. “I just wish all this is a dream. I wish the only person I love is the Kadura.” she concluded.

Alba became shocked and quiet. She believed her princess was talking about the same man she loves. Of course yes, and it was gradually turning into a competition.

On the other hand, at Bruce’s window, Cyrus lost concentration on the Cadiwans and their motives. He walked out from the window to a chair where he continued smoking to Julius and Bruce’s amazement. As he smoked, he slid his white beards gently.

“What’s the problem, book wizard?” Julius asked him.

“Cyrus?” Bruce called him as both stared at him.

Cyrus exhaled. “There’s something about the woman that came here.” he said.

“You mean Mrs. Bharat? I believe she wasn’t serious about what she said. She might have overheard us before she walked in. That’s how she knew that Julius is the real Kadura. She’s not the iron to bend now.” Bruce explained.

“But she spoke with authority. Like there is someone or something beating a drum for her.” Julius observed.

“She has a skeleton in her cupboard.” Cyrus concluded. Suddenly, they heard the crowd jubilating. All rushed to the window to see them, especially the king, smiling and the Cadiwans climbing theirs horses.

“Can you imagine?!” Julius provoked. “They actually confirmed him to be Kadura!” he added.

“The king planned ahead. Either he bribed them or threaten them ahead of time.” Cyrus substantiated.

“But how will he make the plague stop?”

“I only know one person who can help the King stop the plague.” Cyrus hurriedly left the chamber.

Nero was surprised as he clapped his hands for the new Kadura. He whispered to the king saying, “What did you do, my lord?”

“I did what should be done. You only get life once, so use time to get more life. Of course I paid them a visit prior to time. A man who doesn’t understand time doesn’t understand life.” he concluded.

Sneakingly, Cyrus opened a door and closed it. He sniffed the chamber as he looked around. That was Bharat’s. Just as Cyrus speculated, the woman came out from her inner chamber. Both glared at each other.

“Who gave you the permission to enter into my chamber!?” Bharat fiercely asked him.

“I did.” he stepped a foot with his staff. “When you give yourself permission to communicate what matters to you in every situation, you will have peace despite rejection or disapproval.” he added.

“Well, I do not blame you.” she also approached him unabashedly. “As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others, but watch your footsteps here, book wizard.” she fired back then both maintained a few seconds silence.

“I came as a result of your warnings to return it back.” Cyrus broke the silence. “Never you in your life again point your filthy fingers at me or my boy otherwise the drum of your drummer will be broken. Julius must leave your daughter for good.”

“Then you and your boy should get ready to dance to the tune of my drummer even if the drum gets broken. Now, get a hell out of my chamber.” she pointed at the exit.

Cyrus glared then left the chamber as an afterthought. While leaving, he had to bend his neck because his height was more than the length of the door…

Darkness came to the kingdom and Adriana had not come out from her chamber or had eaten anything. All efforts for her maid to, at least, dress her bed for the night proved abortive. She laid on her bed, shedding tears when another knock came from her door.

“Adriana, open the door, it’s your father, the king!” she also heard her father’s voice, yet showed no concern. “Adriana! Adriana!!” the knocking changed to banging until the door was forcefully broken. King Corbatt rushed her daughter on the bed where he sat beside her, watching as tears poured from her eyes. “My morning glory, my love and my joy, why have you decided to torture yourself while you should be rejoicing?”

“I don’t love him, father!” she said.

“But you haven’t even seen him!”

“Do I need to see for me to feel?”

The king became dumb, thinking critically. She looked at his daughter with a lower voice, “I’m trying so hærd to understand your point, Adriana, but I don’t seem to figure it out. What are you talking about?” he carefully asked.

Adriana sat up. “I’m talking about love, father. I do not love Kadura!”

“Don’t be silly, young girl! There’s nothing like love.” The king stood up. “We’re talking about history, costumes and tradition not an illusion like love. Moreover, love does not dominate; it cultivates.”

“Have enough courage to trust love once in your life time.” Adriana also stood up in that tears. “Love is the elusive and ephemeral chemical experience that all humans want and crave. It’s so powerful that it can be hærd to describe. It’s no wonder then that the topic may seem daunting for that very reason—and in particular, the expression of it. Let’s face it: you don’t want to trip over your words when you’re trying to convey to someone just how much affection you have for them.”

“Affection is weakness so as love. You must do the needful!” the king angrily walked out of the chamber.

However, Nero returned home to see her daughter vomiting outside. He looked at her for some moment then entered into the house without saying a word to her. Avera already knew her father to be well knowledgeable to women body chemistry. Therefore, she entered into the house but stood at the door, watching as her father untie the shelf of his sword, turning his back on her.

“Welcome, father.” she swallowed hærd. “I have fever.” she added.

Nero neither said a word nor turn to her as he took off his armor. After taking off his boots, he turned to her, gazing intensively. “Who’s responsible for the pregnancy?” he asked in a low voice.

“Father, um… no…”

“Don’t you dare lie to me!” he finally raised his voice that startled Avera.

The young girl twisted her fingers while her l-ips quivered, letting out tears from her eyes. “Father, it’s.. it’s…. Kadura.” she confessed.

Nero twisted his face and walked closer to her. “Which of the Kadura?” he asked.

“Do we have two Kaduras, father?” Avera returned the question, but a slap on her cheek reminded her that she shouldn’t have asked her father such question. “It’s Damon, father.” she finally revealed, holding her cheek and shedding tears.

Nero thoughtfully turned away from her with hands on his w–st. The silence that creeped in enabled him to hear the sniffing tears of his daughter. He suddenly turned and said, “Get out! Go pass the night at you’re uncle’s. Go!” He shrieked and picked up his sword. Avera ran out.

Within some time, Nero smuggled Damon out of the royal castle that night to his house. He pushed him to the wall and aimed the sword at his neck. Damon surrendered with two hands up.

“What’s this all about?” he asked him.

“What were you thinking when you impregnated my daughter, Avera? You decieved her!”

“I never did. I love her!” Damon retorted.

“That’s a lie and stupid!”

“Put the sword down. I have a plan.”

Nero lowered his sword while Damon left the wall and adjusted his royal wears. “I know the tradition of the kingdom. I know I can’t marry more than one wife. I also know that the kingdom, even the king expects me to marry Adriana.”

“You can’t leave my daughter to suffer alone!” Nero shrieked.

“That’s why my father, the king has to die”

Hearing that, Nero gazed at him. He couldn’t believe his ears as Damon continued saying, “If my father could bend the tradition to favour him by bringing me closer to the throne, I can equally totally break the tradition and make your daughter the queen of Ukra. But I can only do that if my father rest in peace as soon as possible.” he concluded.

Gradually, things began to go south in the kingdom. A woman who covered her body from head to toe approached the entrance of the royal castle and was stopped by two knights.

“Who are you and what do you want?” One of the knights asked her.

She uncovered her head and said, “I’m Bharat and i need to speak to the king now. It’s urgent” The knights led her into the castle.

Meanwhile, Adriana had snuck out from her room to Julius’. Luckily for her, the door wasn’t locked, so she didn’t have to knock before she entered standing behind the door in her milky night gown. Seeing her, Julius stood up instantly.

“My lady!” he called surprisingly. “What are you doing in my Chamber?” he asked.

“I know you do not love me. I believe with time you will.” Adriana began. “Kadura has arrived, I also know that I have to do the will of the tradition. But before I will be forced to marry him, I want you to be the first man I’d know.” From the shoulder, she flopped the gown and became full naked…….

Meanwhile, Bharat stood before the king in the palace. King Corbatt seated on his throne with a chalice of wine in his hand as he anticipated the woman to state her purpose.

“I need to speak to you in private, my lord.” Bharat glanced at the knights that circulated the palace. The king signalled them to leave. After they left, Bharat said, “I know what’s going on. Before I say what I want to say, I want you to believe that I’m on your side.” she paused when the king stared at her as silence and tension increased. “Kadura is not Kadura. I know who the real Kadura is. It is Julius son of Bruce. I overheard him and the book wizard talking about it.” she reported.

Swiftly, the king stood up. “Nero!” he called but the man was nowhere to be found. Therefore, he drew out his own sword and headed towards Julius’ Chamber…

However, Adriana had started k-sing the young boy who didn’t know how to react to her feeling and demands. Just then, his door banged open. They quit the k-s and directed their eyes to the door to see a young knight with a sword.

“It’s not what you think. It was never my intentions!” Julius defended.

“My name is Bodhi. If you value your life, follow me now!” the young knight said while Adriana quickly dressed up.

“Why?” Julius asked.

“No time to answer that” Bodhi dragged him out of the chamber while Adriana also found her square root. Getting out of the chamber, the king and some knights sighted them.

“Arrest them!” he commanded the knights behind him. Adriana hid beside a pillar, waiting and watching them pass before she quickly ran into her Chamber, holding her heart and at the same time wondering what was happening. Sadly, she began to blame herself for putting Julius on the run.

Yes, the young boy was on the run, protected by Bodhi. They ran into another side of the castle basement with stick of fire for illumination. As they were on their heels, Julius fell down. Bodhi had to stop, stretched his hand to him saying, “On your feet, my lord.”

Julius looked up at him. “What did you just call me?” he asked.

“I overheard someone reporting you to the king that you’re Kadura. In my best knowledge, the king wants you dead. That’s why I came before him to save you” he explained.

Julius grabbed his hand and stood on his feet. Unfortunately, the other knights had approached closer. Bodhi could see their sticks of fire. So he looked at Julius and said, “Take this path straight, you’ll see an exit to the forest. Go, while I buy you some time.” he drew his sword out.

Julius took on his heels but suddenly stopped. “Bodhi!” he called him. “Thank you. I won’t forget this.” he said, more like a good bye.

“Thank you, my lord.” the young man smiled at him.

As Julius was running towards the exit, his ears heard the clashing swords between Bodhi and the other knights. He passed the exit and ran into the forest at that time of the night where darkness had become the sole nature of the atmosphere. Here, Kadura’s adventure began……
