Alexa’s pov 🎀

I hop off Xander’s motorcycle and rushed towards Joyce, I grab her hand tightly… my wh0le body shaking.

“Where’s the packhouse?! Take me to the packhouse, I wanna see my brothers!”

“Alexa, calm down, they…..”

“Come on, my brothers are injured I need to see them ASAP!”

Instead of coming with me, she stares at me unsure… she looks behind me.

“What are you looking at?”

“Alexa, your brothers I are….”

“They are injured, I know! Take me to them now!” I urged her.

I look around everyone around, Connor, Tyler, Joyce and Xander.. they all seem to be staring at Xander… as if they’re waiting for his approval to say something.

“Guys, come on!” I shouted.

Xander sighs.

“Joyce, take her!” He said.

Joyce opens her mouth slightly as if she wanna argue, but she decides against it.

“Take her, I’ll be right there!” Xander said.

“Yes, Alpha!” Joyce replies.

She takes my hand and turns towards a big building.. she pushes the door open and we step into a big living room.

I look around and realize it’s the same living room I was in the other time before those bad wolves attacked us.

So, this is the packhouse… well, that is not my problem now, I must see my brothers first.

“Joyce, where can I find my brothers here?”

“Come with me!” She said and rushed through the staircase… I followed after her.

The steps are too much that I’m starting to get tired, I wonder how many people live here exactly.

After passing by different doors, we finally stop at a door.

“We’re here!” She said and opens it.

She makes way for me to enter, I step in and a gasp leaves my mouth.

I saw Micah laying on a bed, he’s covered in blankets and he doesn’t seem like he’s breathing.

My mouth falls open and I couldn’t help but cry out… I rushed to him and fell on him.. crying and shaking him to wake up.

“Micah! Micah, open your eyes! Micah, it’s me Alexa, open your eyes!” I cried.

I shake him but he didn’t move.. I put a finger under his nose to feel his breath but nothing.

“Micah quit scaring me, open your eyes…!” I shake him.

“Do you want me to beat you before you wake up? Open your eyes… Micah, it’s me Alexa, say something!” I cried.

Micah still didn’t open his eyes, nor does he move his body.

My eyes grow wide as a thought strikes me… Could it be he’s dead?!

I shake my head.. no, this can’t be! Micah can’t die, I hear someone enter the room.

I turned and saw it’s Xander and the boys, I ran to Xander and grab his arm tightly.

“Xander, come on, let’s take Micah to the hospital, let’s take him now before it’s too late!”

Xander doesn’t move, he simply stand by the door and stare at Micah.

“Why are you not moving?!”

“Baby, Micah is fine…”

“He’s not fine! He needs to be in the hospital, can’t you see he’s not moving!!”

“He’s fine, baby, he…”

I release his arm and step away from him, I narrowed my eyes at him.

“You don’t wanna take him to a hospital?”

He steps forward and tries to hold my shoulders but I step back.

“Baby, trust me, Micah is fine and….”

“Stop telling me he’s fine!” I yelled.

I point at Micah.

“Take a look at him, he’s laying there, not moving and instead of taking him to a hospital you guys left him here!”

Joyce steps forward and wanted to say something but my harsh glare shuts her up.

“I don’t even know what is wrong with my brother! Why are you keeping him here? And where is Will? Where’s my elder brother?!”

No one said a word, they’re all just staring at me.. I noticed Joyce is trying not to laugh, Connor and Tyler are sniffling a laugh.

I balled my fist and clenched my jaw.

“You all think this is a joke? I demand an explanation… Why is Micah laying there unattended to? Where is Will?!”

There’s silence, then I heard footsteps approaching the room.. soon, Will walks in.

“Alexa, I can hear your scre-ms from downstairs.. are you ok?” He asked.

I rushed to him and jumped I to his arms.

“Will, thank God you’re here!” I pulled away from him.

I look around him, turning him around.. finding any injuries.

“Are you ok? Are you injured?” I asked worriedly.

“I’m fine”

“I heard you’re injured, are you ok now?”

“I’m fine, really!” He said.

I nod and grab his hand, dragging him towards Micah.

“Let’s take Micah to the hospi…. ” I trail off and halts abruptly.

I blinked rapidly to confirm if what I’m seeing is actually true.. I tug on Will’s shirt.

“Will? Am I seeing things?”

Will simply clears his throat and avoids my eyes.

“Mi.. mi…!” I’m speechless.

I take slow steps forward and stops in front of Micah… I reach out my hand and touch his cheeks.

“Micah… You’re alive?” I asked.

He grins and raised an eyebrow.

“What? You wanted me dead?” He asked back.

I withdraw my hand and look around in confusion.. I turned to Joyce she grins.

“Joyce, what’s going on? You said my brothers are injured and Micah is in a coma!”

“Y-yeah..!”

“Then what’s going on? Why is Will standing here with no injuries? And why is Micah not in a coma?” I asked.

Though I’m happy that they aren’t injured and Micah is not in a coma… but I was so worried and I can’t believe what I’m seeing.

“Er… Will can explain that!” She shift the blame to Will.

I shift my gaze to Will, looking at him to explain. Will turn to Xander.

“A-alexa.. Xander will explain it to you better!”

I cleared my throat.

“B-baby…..” Xander trails off.

Micah got up and lead me towards the bed and sat me on it.

“I don’t understand why you guys can’t just tell her!” He said.

I raised an eyebrow at him, he grins once more and licks his l-ips.

“Alexa, we kinda tricked you….”

“You tricked me?!” I cut him off.

He nods. I stayed silent and stares at him.. a small frown appear on my forehead as I try to understand what is happening.

“I don’t understand any of this” I said.

Xander steps forward and sits next to me on the bed… he takes my hand in his.

“Baby, we lied to you, Will and Micah weren’t injured!” Xander said.

I scoff.

“You guys lied to me?! You think it’s funny?! Lying about something as this?!”

“Baby, we did it for a good reason…”

“Good reason?!” I got up. “What reason could be so good enough that will make you lie to me?!” I asked looking at all of them.

I was so worried, I had to leave school to come here.. only to find out this is a prank!

“Alexa, there are some set of people that are called hunters… werewolf hunters, they hunt and kill werewolves!” Will said.

“Werewolf hunters… what does that have to do with the issue on ground?” I asked.

Micah got up and stood in front of me.

“We found out that some of them are hiding among us, they smell like wolves… We got to know that they’re planning on attacking our pack, so we had to lie to you….” He trails off.

“So….?” I wait for him to continue.

“We know you are very close to your brothers, so, we thought if we lie to you and make you leave the school in panic.. it will lower their guards and we can eliminate them easily!” Joyce said.

There’s a moment of silence as nobody speaks.. they’re all looking at me, waiting for my reaction.

“I know before you guys came up with this plan, you must have had someone in mind that you’re suspecting.. who is that?” I asked.

They didn’t reply.. they just kept exchanging looks.

“Is it someone I know?” I asked.

“It’s Brett!” Micah said without hesitation.

Will and Xander sends him a glare but he simply shrugs.

“Brett?!” I asked and he nods.

I’m surprised at why I’m not surprised to hear this.. Brett always have that kind of vibe around him that doesn’t sit well with me.

“Yeah, Brett.. he tried to feed me wolfsbane before but his truck failed!” Micah said.

“When was that?” I frown.

How did Brett had the opportunity to feed him wolfsbane?

“Two nights ago, when I went out for a few drinks!” He replied.

Will takes out a small bottle from his pocket and holds it in front of me.

“And this is what I found in his bedroom….”

“You snuck into his bedroom?” I interrupt him.

I see him roll his eyes but nod.

“Alexa, we’re the royal spy… It’s our job to sneak into places!” He said.

Micah leans closer to my ear.

“And i love sneaking!” I push him away.

Will hands the bottle to Xander, Xander opens it and perceive it.

“Alpha, this is what he used to mask his human scent.. it makes him smell like a wolf!” Will explained.

Xander nods.

“I’ll show this to my dad! And there’ll be a pack meeting later!”

I fold my arms across my chest and glare at them. Xander turns to me with a smile.

“Baby, I’m sorry but we had to use you and….”

“Say no more!” I cut him off. “You all lied to me! You used me!”

“Baby…. ”

“I don’t wanna talk to any of you!” I turn to Xander. “I’m gonna go home, I want you to give me a perfect explanation as to why you decided to use me!” I said and storms out.

Will wanted to go after her but Micah pulls him back.

“Why are you pulling me? Can’t you see Alexa is angry?”

“Bro, she’s got a mate, he’ll know how to cool her down!”

Xander nods and sighs deeply.

“Now that Brett thinks he and his men succeeded in hurting you, he’ll come after our pack!” He turns to Tyler. “Go, train some if your fighters and send them into the woods…they should block Brett and his men..if possible kill them before I arrive at the scene!”

“Yes, alpha!” Tyler replied.

Xander turns to Will and Micah.

“I’m gonna go before Alexa gets even more angry that I didn’t come after her in time”

“Yes! You go, alpha!” Micah said as Xander rushes off.
