LEAH POV
Staying at home could be so boring, I was already missing school.
I called Anita but she informed me that she traveled out of State to visit
her sister that just put to bed, she was so excited on hearing I broke up
with Val. I called Val but his number wasn’t reachable, then I remembered
the pleasure Park the Governor just built, I haven’t been there before and
going there would be a good idea.
I’ve never been in a boat before and I headed they had one there. So I
quickly put on a nice outfit and hit the staring heading for pleasure Park.
Getting there, the place was so crowded even though it was a working day,.
Then I sighted someone that looked familiar with a girl holding him so
tightly, she could pass for his girlfriend. I moved close to see if maybe
my eyes were deceiving me, but I was shocked to see Val, with some girl,
she even had her head placed on his chest.

I felt my heart sting with jealousy, I’ve never seen Val this close to any
girl before, except me, who could she be? If I hadn’t known him very well I
would say she was his sister, or was she a family member?
Well there’s only one way to find out so I approached him and his reaction
gave me course to wonder if there was something more to what I’ve seen.
“I can see you’re having a good time” I replied still expecting him to say
something.
“ohh, please Leah, meet my childhood friend…….. ”
He was cut short by the strange girl”first love actually” she ch¡pped in
pissing me off
“more like a crush” Valentine added, , and she bowed her head in
embarrassment. Then he continued
“Ella, this is Leah, my bestie and a very special person to me”.
“nice to meet you Ella” I said bringing out my hands for a shake.
“I see you’re here to ride on the speed boat, you can join us” Val said,
but I turned him down, not wanting to tag along, the Ella girl seemed like
she was gonna murder me with her stare.
After purchasing our tickets, I eventually ended up in the same boat as
them.
As the boat sped off, she was just holding Val, as if she was going to fall
out any minute, the way she was even squeezing him, I began to feel for my
bestie.
I caught him steal occasional glances at me, but I just smiled not wanting
to create the impression that I was jealous, he already introduced me as a
special person, that’s supposed to keep her on check…..

Besides I knew Valentine loved me so there was no course for alarm. I just
plugged my earpiece to my ears enjoying my Nigerian jamz to distract myself
from them.
By the time we got off the boat I could see Val was already pissed and the
way he kept his face made me want to laugh my lungs out, but I held myself,
it will be so bad of me to do so. I just quietly left without them noticing.
After that encounter at pleasure Park, Val apologized to me but I assured
him It was nothing. He took me there again and these time I had mad fun. We
went to different places. And with every moment spent with him, I looked
forward to another, we even went to church together, he picked me up most
times.
I got to realize how sweet he was, and I unconsciously began to develop
deep feelings for him.
Eric never bothered me, I guess he got the message clear or maybe he never
loved me after all, but that only gave me space to love back the one that
always made me smile.
What was more interesting was the fact that our parents accepted our
friendsh¡p and they also reconciled, this enabled me to stay weekends at
Vals place.
As for the Ella girl, she still stung around him like a fly, but trust Val,
he made sure she knew her place, and I even cared less about her.
Soon the holiday was over, my new mom took it upon herself to provide
everything I needed to go back to school . My provision could do for three
people, I never had that much, as if that was not enough, she made sure she
dropped us herself in school, promising me to come back the next week to
pick me up for my scholarsh¡p exam.

“I really missed oh” Anita said as I told her of everything that happened
in her absence.
“I really didn’t mean to stay that long, its just that I had to help my
sister until they were able to get a maid, I and I lost my phone too, but
her husband got me another one as I was about to leave. ”

She brought out a brand new TECNO Phantom plus.
” this phone is bad!, I’ve been eyeing it for a very long time, you need to
see the way I jumped on top of him when he gave it to me”
I shrugged because if she saw my new phone she was definitely going to flip.
Val’s mum got an iPhone 10 for I and Val shortly before we resumed and the
phone cover was customized with a picture of I and Val.
Class the next day was fun as we got to exchange pleasantries with our
classmates.
I also resumed my duty as the new head girl, and believe me it was very
stressful.
As the date of my exam drew near, I prepared very well, I also got lots of
encouragement from Val and Anita. And when the day finally came, Val mum
came as promised to take me to the exam venue.
Only her presence gave me so much confidence as I was treated like a VIP. I
went into the hall shoulder high, who wouldn’t be? The exam was
computerized and your score will appear immediately you click the end
button. The highest five scores will be invited for the final round of
section and the best three will eventually get the scholarsh¡p to study in
any University of their choice.

The questions were very technical and I approached it to the best of my my
knowledge. I finished before the speculated 1hr30mins given to us, said a
word of prayer and click the end button. Those seconds I had to wait for my
score seemed like the longest to me, finally it did appear and I scored
97%. That should be high enough to land me to the best five.
I stood up and walked majestically, like the Leah I was, out of the hall,
much to the surprise of everyone else.
At the exit door I was confronted by a lady.
“I can see you’re through, how did you find the exam”
“technical ” I answered. ” I know, we made it that way to select the very
best, so what did you score”
“97%” I said, handing her the slip I was given earlier. She collected it
from me and typed in something in her system, then she lifted up her face
with a smile
“congratulations Miss Leah, I hope to see you in the next stage”
“thank you ma”. With that I walked back to where we parked and I ran
straight to hug Val’s mum.
“oh baby, I knew you were going to make me proud” she said patting my back.
“I scored 97% mum, I think I’ll make it through to the next stage”
“of course you will darling, come on, this calls for Celebration”
We drove drove to an eatry, everyone kept staring at me and I was already
feeling like a celebrity. We ordered rice and chicken with juice and I also
took take outs too.

She dropped me back at school after handing me 100k. Promising to visit on
visiting day..
By the time I got back, school had already dismissed, so I went straight to
the hostel. I found nitty laying on my bed, as I got in and dropped the
takeout on our table.
“some people don’t have respect oh, they cannot even tell their aunty
welcome again” I said making an angry face.
“see this small girl oh, that I carried when she was a baby, wonders shall
never end” she said as she sat up. I just ignored her as I began to pull of
my clothes.
“hmmmmmmmm, I smell chicken” “see your head like chicken, come and eat let
me see” I fired back trying to sound serious.
“ahaha now, so somebody cannot play with you again, oya sorry, aunty,
madam, welcome ” she said making puppy face. ” go jare, you too like food,
take on takeaway and one juice, there” “that’s why I love you” she said as
she rushed to collect the food and started to devour it.

“So how was it, I know say you don finish work for there, see as smoke they
comot for your head”
“you trust your girl na, I scored 97% and I finished within 45mins.”
“hey! I dey tell you!! Dats my girl, Leah baby! Them never sabi, show them
levels” she stood up showering praises on me.
“the highest five scorers will be called for the next stage”
“babe forget that one, you don already qualify”
“what was more exciting was the way people were just staring at me as I
walked together with Val mum everywhere we went, na so I com dey feel like
celeb ohh ”
” too much levels, like play like play my babe dey go yanki ooh,, see
senior girl”
The statement she made made me feel bad, I and Nita had already planned how
our campus life would be. We agreed to rent a flat together since we were
both going to study medicine, although she wanted to specialize in
gynecology.
“I can’t believe it’s happening too, I feel so bad, I’m really going to
miss you guys, left for me alone I would prefer studying here, just like
we’ve always dreamed of, you and I, attending the same University, staying
in the same flat, wearing same clothes, I can’t believe I’m going to miss
all that” I said meaning every word of it.
“awwwwwn, now you’re going to make me cry, you would go and make us proud,
and we all will be here awaiting your return, time flies you know and
before you know it you’ll be back, but don’t go there and start forming big
girl for me oh, when you go there and make friends with all those white
girls, make sure you keep in touch, anyway thank God for social media”
“i will never forget you my friend, you’re like a sister I never had, I
just wish we could just go together ”
” I wish so too but if only wishes were horses, promise me you won’t find
another best friend oh”
“I promise, i cross my heart” I said crossing my heart.
“all right, let’s make a deal, on my weeding day, you’ll be my maid of
honor, even though you’re in the states, you must come back”. I was stunned
at her
” really, OK what if I’m to get married before you? ”
” then I’ll gladly be the maid of honor ”
OK then, so be it. We hugged each other and we settled to enjoy our meal.

VALENTINE POV
Life had never been more meaningful, waking up each day to the realization
that you had the people you love around you, and they loving you as much is
so refreshing like a cold bath on a very sunny day.

Things between Leah and I so far is going swiftly, though I haven’t
officialy asked her to be my girlfriend yet, I feel it’s a little bit
awkward, I’m just enjoying the way we are now, no more Eric to distract her
attention, although I Still have a bad feeling about him, if he eventually
tries something funny, I’ll teach him the lesson of his life.
And Ella, just wanted to put sand in my garri, mtcheeeeew I’m glad I passed
the message clearly to her, I wasn’t suprised when she called me with a
foreign number that she had gone back to the states. I breathed a sigh of
relief that day, she was gradually turning into a pest.

“oh boy, w-t in dey do you now I don dey call your name for over 30mins oh,
you just Sidon there they talk to yourself she your village people Don show
to carry your spirit” I was brought back to reality having received a
painful punch on my arms.
“see if na play stop am oh, you want disfigured my arm, abi na for my body
you wan claim Anthony Josh?, you no know were.. ring dey? ” I replied still
feeling the pain in my right arm.

” just that small thing you want die, aahh! true true na ajebo you be oh,
com my area, by the time we boys treat your f–k up you go know say you
suppose strong, anyway na beta news I carry com, as I just they pass Admin
na so that fine yellow copper just they paste our exam timetable for wall,
na so I go meet am, throw one or two language for am, before you know na so
she com dey blush oh, na so I come use style collect one from am, see am
here” He handed me a photocopy of our exam timetable, much to my dismay,
though I didn’t show it.
“na this one be the better news, Ehe, go read”
“Exactly why I brought it, so that you will jack for two of us, you know
say na your back I dey ”
” See your mouth, no sit down read, I pity you because no your head ehehen
go knack for WAEC day, thank God say your surname kuku start from A, dem go
throw you go front ”
” guy, when we get to that bridge we’ll cross it, for now, make we parol
normal, u know na”
“na you sabi ooh, no say I no warn you”
“” hwfr na, w-t in dey the bunk, man pickin dey H for here”
“Open locker there, collect soakings”
“I dey believe you die, without you Ehe, I for don roast for this school”
Nelson was indeed a handful, though he’s great company, the guy hærdly
prepared for exams but he still managed to sustain above average. As he sat
down to enjoy his cornflakes, I pondered upon my WAEC, I know Leah will
eventually get the scholarsh¡p, so I have to start preparations to study
abroad too, even in the same University. That wouldn’t be a problem at all
because my mom will gladly accept. I’m not willing to take chances with
her. That’s how much I love her.

LEAH POV
“I can’t believe we are going on Christmas break already” I said as I
arranged my luggage to go home
“as in Ehe, the term ran so fast” Anita answered, she had already packed
the night before.
“I’m even tired of secondary school already, let me just do and write my
WAEC, and leave joor”
“same here ooh, but if we leave now, we’ll start missing it again, ahh,
school life is fun sha, making sweet memories that will last for a life
time”
“abi ooh, its true sha, for now I miss home jare”

My dad had called earlier that he was on a business deal in Namibia, so I
was to stay over at Val’s place if I wanted and I gladly accepted, staying
there was fun, especially with Val around, he made every day worthwhile.
Also I get to swim whenever I want.
Outside the dorm, Val ‘s driver was already waiting for me, Val had entered
the car, we dropped Anita off at her house before heading home.
Getting to the house, we were informed that Val’s mum had also travelled
out of town,, so we had the house to ourselves,. What an interesting
holiday it’s gonna be and I look forward to it with great expectations.
********After the holiday********
LEAH POV
I would say, I had the most amazing Christmas holiday ever. Spending it at
the Johnsons mansion was even more interesting. My bestie was indeed a
handful, as the day passed, I realized I began to fall deeply for him, but
my only concern now is that he hadn’t asked me tobe his girlfriend yet, or
wasn’t he seeing the signs already? Well I made up my mind never to
confront him about it, he’s the guy so that’s his responsibility.

With our WAEC exams around the corner, we rarely had time for ourselves, I
especially, was so occupied, if I was to make it to the Scholarsh¡p, then I
had to make enough A’s. I heard from a reliable source that it was an added
advantage, at the final selection.
Anita on the other hand had picked up her Jamb form but Val didn’t, when I
asked him, he said he didn’t want to study in the country, I’m not
surprised though, because his mom always talked bad about the country’s
poor Educational System, especially at the tertiary level.
Anita scored 298, and she was so excited, she had passed the cut off mark
for Medicine in her desired institutions, I was so happy for her, I just
wished things turned out as planned. But everything happens for a purpose,
God always had a final say in every situation.

Just like everything that has a beginning, my life as a secondary school
boarder ended on the last day of my WAEC exams, I was baptized with Fanta
that I I began to pity my white shirt. We signed off on each other’s whites
and the rains only made it more fun.
That was the joy of every student, I once looked up to this day and I made
sure I enjoyed myself to the fullest.
We had pictures taken with our phones to remember the moment.
That night in dorm, was usually a sad one, school mother’s saying their
final goodbyes to their school daughter, and handing over their belongings
to their school daughter. Ayo didn’t make things easier for me as she
continued to weep all through the night. I handed her over to another
school daughter of mine, Esther, promising her I’ll always come visiting
till when I’ll eventually leave for the states.

Since she wasn’t yet a senior, I couldn’t give her much because the moment
I leave, her seniors will seize everything for her. But I gave her my best
uniform, the one I never joked with, she was to hid it in her box and keep
it at home during holiday, until she became a senior, she held onto it like
it was the last memory of me. I was also going to miss her, if not more.
The next morning, we all vacated the school premises, but we were expected
to come back during the speech and price giving day/ Valectdictory
ceremony, where we were officials going to hand over our batch to the next
prefects and I get to give my speech, as the outgoing head girl, on behalf
of the entire SS3 girls.
Our Valectdictory day was also a day every one looked up to, as for the
first time, we were to dress in our very best outfit and make any style of
hair of our choice. Some students used this avenue to showcase their dress
sense, and the junior students on the other hand got to pick out the best
dress male and female, who was to be the next face of the schools
catalogue, till the next year. It was a red carpet event.
That day I dressed to kill, Wearing gucci from head to toe, and glamed by a
professional make up artist. All thanks to Val’s mum of course, she
personally shopped for them herself on her last trip to Dubai.
My Val was also breath taking, his Gucci tuxedo fitted him absolutely,
making him more handsome than ever, that I feel a million times in love
when he came to pick me at home in the Benz.
When we stepped out together in school, holding hands like a powerful
couple, cameras kept flashing at us, no doubt, we stole the occasion, we
looked like a match made by God himself.

We were given a special seat in front as the outgoing head boy and head
girl, close to the principal. Both our parents were also there,they made it
in time before we gave our speech..
When we were called upon, he took my hands as we walked majestically to the
podium, attracting thunderous applause and scre-ms from our spectators. He
went first and his speech melted my heart.
I thank God almighty, for the grace to finish this phase of my life. I’m
most grateful to this college, for not just giving me a sound education,
but good morals, and the opportunity to meet great people, make wonderful
friends and create memories that will last for a life time.
I sincerely appreciate all the teachers for their Zeal and effort towards
moulding disciplined and reliable future leaders of various industries
seated here today, we promise that all your efforts will never go in vain,
we promise to keep the flag flying and the name of our Alma matter so close
to our heart.

I also want to appreciate our parents, for their efforts in our pursuit for
academic excellence, I pray that the Almighty replenish you all.
Just as our Anthem says, we are going out there as unbeatable ambassadors
of this prestigious college, I admonish every graduating student present
here today, to keep that phrase very close to their heart. To exempt
themselves from any social vices and activities that will bring bad
reputation, to our dear institution. We should all strive in our various
endeavors to be the best we can be, and like a rose in the middle of
thorns, we shall sprout through dignified. Let’s continue to set the pace
while others follow.

As he seemed out of the podium, everyone stood up to applaud him. While I stepped up.

All thanks to God Almighty, for bringing us this far, I’m indeed honoured
to have been a headgirl of this prestigious institution.
I want to specially thank the principal and staff of this great citadel for
taking out extra time to produce redefined young adults leaving this
college today to make a mark on the world and bring back glory to our dear
Alma Mata.
As we leave today, we take with us knowledge, we take with us morals, we
take with us discipline and we take with us precious memories in bedded in
our hearts.
Here in FGC we are known for standing out among others, and we hope to hand
over that tradition unbeaten to our juniors we leave behind.
For those of us leaving to the outside world, let’s not forget our dignity,
our pride and our heritage, let’s continue to be good ambassadors of our
great college.
I pray that the good Lord guide every one of us and see us through in all
our endeavours of life, and we come back here as one successful family to
give back to the great fountain which has given us so much.

I received a deafening applause as everyone stood up also, I looked over to
where my dad was seated and blew him a k-ss, he replied me with a win as he
kept clapping. I can’t stop thanking God for the opportunity he gave me to
keep making my dad proud, I really felt so much peace each time I did that,
he is a good man, and he deserved the best. I only wish my mom was alive
today to see the beauty she gave birth to. Some times in life one couldn’t
have everything you wished for.
I was going into another phase of my life, I was going to make my dreams
come true, and what’s best is that I was surrounded with people that love
me. What more joy can life bring.
VALENTINE POV
I rolled over my bed to be greeted by the beautiful ray of early morning
sun. The activities of the day before filling my thoughts. I was finally
out from Secondary School, no more morning bells. The feeling was awesome.
Leah and I made the couple the year, she was indeed a beauty to be hold.
One of God’s finest creation.
During the speech and price giving, I received so many gifts I never
imagined. Although Leah came out as the best graduating student receiving a
cash prize of #500,000. And lots of other gifts.
After the event in school, we went for an after party at popular hotel,
there we danced our hearts out. I must confess that she’s a very good
dancer too. I made sure she didn’t taste any alcohol through out the party
and I made sure I dropped her home myself.
The best part of it was when we k-ssed. The DJ played Ad Shadden thinking
out loud and we were just moving slowly to beat. She had her hands placed
round my neck and my hands round her wa-ist. We kept staring into each
other’s eyes and the next thing our l-ips met. We were brought out of our
fantasy by scre-ms and clapps, coming from our spectators and I really felt
Shy at that moment. Leah was too.
That was when we sneaked out of the event and I dropped her at home. I
touched my l-ips as I remembered the k-ss. It felt so good.

LEAH POV

I was finally called upon by the scholarsh¡p board and I made it to the

best three. I was asked to choose my preferred institution and I choose

Oxford University.

They were to prepare all my doc-ments within three months before I came

back for final check up.

My Dad was super excited But I felt bad leaving everyone behind.

With my birthday around the corner, I decided to do a big celebration,

before I went to the states. Father wouldn’t be around because he had a

business meeting in China. But he loaded my account heavily for the party.

A week to the D-day, I and my two best friends sat down to plan for it.

“bestie if you ask me, I think a small get together will do, invite few

friends and we’ll go to the beach” Valentine said, he was kicking strongly

against the big party I wanted to have.

“Leah don’t mind him ohh, the party is OK, we’ll org-nize it at Las Vegas.

You know it’s the last party before you’ll travel out. We need to invite

all our classmates” Anita said, she was a huge fan of parties.

“common Val, let’s just go with the party” I pleaded.

“OK if you insist” “” yes!!!! Party hærd give, its your day so you should

have all the fun in the world, and I know our dear Valentine WI never leave

your side” she said winking at Val.

I just laughed my lungs out. Those two never ceases to amaze me, but life

without them could get so boring.

We began preparations for the party. The event center was to take care of

everything, all I needed was just to tell them what I wanted.

ERIC POV

Leah thought that I finally let go of her, but she didn’t know I’ve always

had my eyes on her. So far, it seems she and that friend of hers became an

item but it wouldn’t last for so long as I have a perfect plan and it’s

about time I unleash it.

Leah baby here I come.

LEAH POV

Its my birthday and I’m so excited. Firstly, I went to the studio with my

two friends to take pictures before heading to the event.

The turn out was massive, and I felt loved, all through the time Val never

left my sight, we held hands together wherever I went to. We even cut the

cake together. Anita was with her boyfriend enjoying the moment so she

didn’t have time for me.

After dancing, it was time to introduce artiste performing, and that was

when Val excused himself, heading for the restroom.

The first artiste to perform was introduced as Splendor and as he came on

stage, it was no other person but Eric.

He took the mic, introduced himself once more. His song was Titled I can’t

stop loving you and it was dedicated to me.

I was captivated by his voice and the lyrics of the song, I never knew he

had such a wonderful voice.

To crown it up he came for me were I sat and pulled me up, leading me to

the center stage, we’re he finally knelt before me, ending his beautiful

song saying

“I love you Leah, will Always do ”

By the time he was through, I was already cleaning my tears and I gave him

a warm hug before going back to my seat.

Val had not still returned and I wondered were he went, then I sighted him

among the guest, k-ssing a girl, though the k-ss was quick, more like a

brush but it brought pains to my heart. After that he disappeared again.

I was still wondering when someone tapped me fondly at my back, I turned

and it was Eric.

“hello beautiful, I was wondering if well just talk a little somewhere

quite please”

I didn’t want to go, I honestly wanted to turn him down, but I was already

feeling lonely, to make matters worse Val was no where to be found.

I convinced myself that it was just a talk, I had already gotten over him

so there was no harm.

I followed him and we went to the bar section of the hotel. He ordered two

glasses of wine and we went to the back of the building, that place looked

more like a garden. We sat down together as I sipped into the wine, it was

alcoholic. My first taste of alcohol.

“never knew you could sing so good” I said, trying to start a conversation.

“I learnt how to because of this day love, I’ve really missed you, I know

I’m such a jerk and I don’t deserve your love but give me one more chance

darling and I promise to right all my wrongs” He said holding my hands.

“I forgive you Eric, that’s why I’m sitting here with you, but I’m sorry,

I’ve moved on and I suggest you do too”

I answered sincerely.

“I’ve tried, but I can’t, its you Leah or no one else”

I wanted to reply but I was already feeling too tired to talk, maybe as a

result of the alcohol I took, next thing I could feel my eyes close and

that was all.

I woke up with a severe pound in my head and pains in between my thighs, I

checked my surrounding and I realized I was in a bed, completely unclad, in

an unfamiliar room.

“hey love, you’re awake” Eric’s voice caught my attention, he was holding a

cup of coffee

“drink this honey, you need it”

I couldn’t understand anything

“how did I get here” I asked still puzzled.

“I’ll explain, but take this first”

The pain down there really hurt so I pulled the duvet to cover myself, it

was when I got up and saw the blood stain on the bed, that reality suddenly

hit me.

” what the hell happened here” I scre-med, tears running down my face.

“calm down honey, we were both drunk last night, I’m so sorry, I can help

you to the bathroom so you’ll wash yourself up.

“you disgusting bastard” I fired back, “what did you do to me”

“baby calm down, I’m with you through this, common honey let me take you to

the bathroom and wash you up.”

I landed a heavy slap on his face as I retrieved my clothes scattered on

the floor, I immediately wore them.

“you will pay for this I swear ”

I picked up my purse I found by the bed stand and left the room. It was

then I realized I was still at the hotel which my birthday was held but I

couldn’t remember a thing that happened to me.

What was supposed to be a fun filled day, turned out to be my worst

nightmare.

VALENTINE POV

I had a very strange feeling about Leah, as I woke up the next morning,

Yesterday things really got messy. Firstly I was pressed so I had to use

the restroom, then a girl approached me, claiming one of her friends

invited her to the party, she asked me to lend her my phone, that she

wanted to call the person that Invited her, so I gave her my iPhone, next

thing she excused herself, I waited for minutes, when she didn’t show up I

decided to look for her, I went into the hall, and I saw that Eric guy

singing a love song for Leah, they were even together on the stage.

I felt pained so I just stood there watching, next thing I saw the girl

coming, smiling sheepishly, before I knew it, she k-ssed me quickly and

gave me my phone. What the he’ll was that for? I asked myself. My mind was

filled so I decided to go catch a breath outside, after staying for a

while, I came back in,side the hall and I couldn’t find Leah anymore. I

tried calling her but she wasn’t picking up, so I decided to check around

for her, that was when I saw her with Eric, by the garden. She seemed to be

enjoying whatever thing he was telling her as she kept laughing loudly. She

also had a wine glass in her hands.

I felt my anger rising beyond limits, I wanted to go there and drag her

home with me, but I thought against it, I just went straight to my car and

drove away from the venue.

ERIC POV

A smile curved my face as I remembered my grand plan, which earned me

LEAH POV

“ahah, that bastard, he is going to rot in jail for what he did to you”

Anita cursed when I told her about the incident.

“what’s even more bad is that I can’t remember a thing of what happened”

“this is all my fault, I suggested this big party, we should have just done

this thing as Val suggested”

Just then Val came in, I had already sent him a message informing him of

what happened.

VALENTINE POV

I should have known it was all a set up by that fool, from the strange girl

that borrowed my phone to his appearance on stage. I was so stupid to let

my anger control me, I was nowhere to be found, when the love of my life

needed me most. I couldn’t protect her. I was such a coward. I hit my fist

against my steering as I drove straight to Cafe where the idiot worked.

Getting there I went in,side, I found him typing something, I just dragged

him out side and landed several punches on him

By the time some guys succeeded in pulling me away from him, he was

bleeding profusely. I just entered in,side my car and stormed away.

LEAH POV

After the incident, I couldn’t bring myself to tell my Dad what happened, I

knew he would take up the case to the highest level and make sure the idiot

pay, but I couldn’t deal with the stigma associated with rape. So I begged

my friends never to say a word of what happened to anybody.

Val was very supportive all through the time I healed, he practically

blamed himself for what happened, at first I was scared that I’ll loose him

but he proved otherwise as it became as if the incident even brought us

closer, sometimes when I couldn’t sleep, he’ll cuddle me until I feel

asleep then he will sit and watch over me, I was glad everything was over.

But it was only getting started, that month I missed my period, and I also

started having morning sickness. Val was the first to notice and he

suggested we did a pregnancy test. I told him I wasn’t comfortable going to

any hospital so he bought the pregnancy strip himself and brought it home

to me. Thankfully my Dad was still out of the country at that time.

I read the instructions carefully and I carried out the test. Unfortunately

it read positive. I came out of the bathroom with a very heavy heart. You

know that moment when it seems you are even too weak to cry.

“I’m pregnant Val, the bastard got me pregnant ” was all I said before I

gave in to heavy sobs.

How do I explain this to my Dad now, I can’t imagine looking into his

eyes……
